This is the best comparison of AMOLED and MIP. I'm team MIP! Been testing out the F8 MIP 47mm & 51mm. I'm actually leaning towards the 47mm. Which one did you keep? Which one do you wear more frequently?
I'm the MIP guy... I hope Garmin will never stop making this type of watches... Now I'm wearing Instinct 2 and only one thing I'm missing is map. So my next watches will be with MIP display but with maps.

Hope I don’t regret not getting the brighter Amoled screen. I like the visual on the amoled model but went with the MIP bcz of the solar and longer battery life. I don’t use my current Apple watch to talk or do phone calls but it nice to get a notification when working out to decide if you want to answer call/text or just ignore. What pushed me to the solar model was once or twice a year I go on a week long backpacking trip so I won’t have to worry about charging my watch. Reading the comments here a lot of people prefer the MIP. Plus I’m about to ditch my whoop strap bcz the fenix 8 has all the same features.
Can you do a review of the AMOLED and MIP Fenix 8 showing the same watch face on both and show what changes when the screen dims on the AMOLED, and show the AMOLED in direct sunlight when the AMOLED is in the dimmed mode?
That was a very good thorough review. Even though I like the Red Shift option on the Amoled to stretch the battery life, I think I would choose the MIP solar option in the 51mm size. I'm also thinking of waiting to see what the next Tactix model looks like.
Great video thank you. One thing I don't like about my AMOLED 8 is that the fonts on the watch face for complications are too small and can be harder to read vs the SOLAR version. Hope Garmin catch on and allow users to customise the text size of the watch face, alongside the main menu which is currently an option.
Finally!!! This is the video I have been waiting for!!! I am wondering since it looks like Garmin is finally taking full advantage of the amoled on the Fenix line and making weather backgrounds and the subtle topographic background what is the difference between the graphics and what’s displayed on the different widgets, activities, morning report etc? It would take maybe a five minute video to just run through that kind of comparison.
Great review, thank you. Question: you previously reviewed the Enduro 3. How do you think the screen on the Enduro 3 compares to the Fenix 8 Solar in terms of font size, boldness etc? Is there any difference?
i'm still and will most likely always be leaning towards the MIP version. The burn in problem with all OLED displays is not a big problem for gaming monitors and tv's where the image is shifting alot, but a watch with a constant image, is the exact worst case usage for an OLED screen. to enjoy the longevity of a really expensive smart watch, i'll be sticking with MIP.
@@dons1643 check /r/garmin. lots of people have bad burn-in issues after 3-4 years of using the same watch face. it's what drives me away from the amoled display.
Thank you for the in depth review of the watches and their displays. I think a lot of reviewers just point out the basics and don’t really show real world examples, especially when you are training/gps/other modes. It’s nice to see the AMOLED and the MIP displays next to each other, which lets people better decide on which watch they should get based on their intended use.
I think comparing 51mm and 47mm battery doesn't make any sense. 51mm watches have 80% bigger batteries. When 47mm AMOLED uses say 5% battery per hour, it would use only 2,7% in 51mm version (theoretically). You have to use identical size watches for the true comparison between MIP vs AMOLED battery life. Otherwise - great review. Thanks for your work.
Thanks! And yeah, you’re totally right! Unfortunately I don’t have access to all the different models however.. I just wanted to show how both watches stack up to the specifications that Garmin provides..
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx Bro... how can you show both watches stack up with two different battery size. This test is totally worthless you are confusing people by providing irrelevant data. At least you could've provided estimated time apples to apples but you didn't do that either.
@@user-fx5sw4jy7hYz9Hzi This test is not worthless because I would consider the 47mm amoled or 51 MIP as minus the solar edge its roughly 47mm, its a good comparison of the two watches, if you are not trying to measure drain by battery size but by real life usage.
@@newbielives Why would you think about the minus the solar edge ? People think about more of how big and bulky watch is going to be on the wrist. If size is not an issue everyone would go 51. Get of here bud.
I just put my Fenix 8 solar on 10 percent brightness and is more than bright enough at night. Battery lasts forever. Draining at about .03 percent an hour
You’re welcome! 😊 Good question.. Well, I love outdoor sports like hiking, climbing etc. and for these I always grab the MIP version. However, for going to the gym and just wearing the watch in my daily life, I’d prefer the AMOLED model. However, if I had to choose only one, I would probably go with the MIP.
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx What I see, AMOLED is also better for old eye (which I have🙂), better for daily life but if I do water activity (wingfoil, windsurf) and need minimum one week of battery capacity with AOD (BT, measuring heart rate, 2x5h activity per week...), will you still choose Amoled or MIP? And second question - does F8 47 comfortable on hand / not too heavy? Otherwise nice video test.
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yxI am trying both right now. When you switch back and forth between both versions how do keep from screwing up the data. I am finding that an issue. Are you using the primary device option and switching there?
What are the things you regretted about the AMOLED one? I have serious trouble choosing between them. Like the higher pixel density and brightness of the AMOLED, and think the battery life even with always on display is more than enough...but at the same time I am afraid it will be distracting, even if turning the gesture mode off. E.g. if using always on, even when it dims, how distracting would it be in a dark room? Seems weird for it to glow all the time. Currently I have a very old Forerunner 235, which obviously has a MIP but most likely a much worse MIP than the current generations and I must say I like that it is easy just glancing at the watch to see the time etc. (unless it is dark of course). Have had no problems with using the backlight when needed. While typing this out I guess I am leaning towards the MIP. 😂 But still, would love to hear your experiences of both screens.
Also have you noticed the same glitches with the solar that the amoled has? I noticed the solar appeared to run smoothly through the watch face selection whereas the amoled has that slight pause ive seen in every video about it.
Good video. One to send to people who are always asking about display differences. Personally I can't stand Amoled dimming all the freaking time. MicroLED can't come soon enough.
Depends. For pool swimming indoors, I prefer the AMOLED display but for open water swimming (especially in sunny conditions), I‘d prefer the MIP display
thanks for reviewing these since I am in market to buy one right now... deciding between Fenix 7 pro saphire solar vs either the Epix pro 2 saphire or fenix 8 amoled ,,,, I do like the Amoled better though
How long does it take to charge the Fenix 8 from 0-100%? Garmin doesn't seem to say this anywhere on their website. I tried googling it and the best I could find was some websites claiming 3 hours to charge from 0-100% but I don't think that was specific to the Fenix 8.
I found this: "The Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED (51 mm) typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to fully charge, depending on the power output of the charger you use. Garmin recommends using a charger with at least 15W for optimal performance. If you're using a lower-power charger, the charging time may increase slightly."
Just a quick question. If you chose the MIP version of fenix 8 then why not choosing the enduro 3 ? My biggest decision now is if I should choose Fenix 8 amoled or enduro 3
Why switch the position of watch model when representing the real world hour uses? If you started with the MIP hours on the left, keep it on the left to not confuse people.
The problem that I have with solar on the Garmin is that you have to charge it regardless of the amount of sunlight it receives. So I’d rather have the amoled display as it’s clearer and easier to read.
@@MrStirstir Exactly, my Protrek is still working without even one battery change since 2009. I kept on thinking it might have been fully drained after 1 or 2 years in the drawer, but when I pick it up it wakeup with 40% battery😄.
I have a F7S pro sapphire solar because I have really small wrists, so i can't waste battery life on amoled. This is why i won't be getting the F8. Besides... I'm totally happy with my current watch 😁
According to the manufacture information we COULD say that the AMOLED 51mm has ALMOST the same battery duratio (off Always on display) as de SOLAR 51mm? If so, we could conclude that the AMOLED 51mm has probably a really good duration in battery
i always hated the watches like apple watch, samsung gear which goes blank and wait for the hand gesture like it is a dummy/dead watch. I ordered my MIP version and desperately waiting. #teamfenix
I can't decide which one to buy. I like the longer battery life of the solar version but also the better look of the amoled version. How much does the amoled version distract in the night? I like to wear it all night and track my sleep.
Don't do amoled. You will regret it. If you are going to amoled you might as well go with apple watch. Garmin is special because of longer batter life, solar and MIP. You are getting nothing special if you are going amoled.
I have the F8 Amoled 51mm, coming from F7X Solar MIP. The battery life on the 8, 51mm is better than the F7X in daily use. I.e. not AOD and no activities. You will get very close to the stated 29 days of use. I tried AOD and all it does is halve the battery life and give you half the image. If you want to look at the screen, just do a wrist gesture (or tap the screen) and set the time out to what you want. For night use, there is an ambient sensor that adjusts the brightness depending on the light levels available. Middle of the day, super bright. Night time, nice and dim. You can also set Sleep mode which can change the watch face to something simpler and change the colour to red. In Sleep mode, wrist gesture is set to off by default, so you need to tap the screen or press a button to get the red watch face. Not distracting at all, as it stays black unless you tap or press, and I wear it every night. I certainly do not regret going with the Amoled. The MIP display on the 7X was the reason I upgraded to the 8 Amoled. But if you're a hard core, outdoor athlete, then the MIP might be the better option. I use a Garmin bike computer for 95% of my tracked activities, so I really wanted a better screen for general use.
The screen turns off at night on Amoled, so no distraction whatsoever. If you want to see the time, you press the light button and a very dim watchface shows the time. It's actually less jarring than the MIP at night as the full backlit comes on with MIP if you want to see the time.
@@jeversace with Always on display and few work out your battery life in new watch condition is 4 days. In 2 years that battery life is half. No I dont want 2 day battery life on garmin. You good luck with amoled.
Good point that the AMOLED is less distracting at night than the backlight of the MIP. Coming from a Fenix 5 (standard edition), I guess the battery life of the AMOLED version should be equivalent.
I bought the Fenix 8 solar. After 1 week I send it back to Garmin because of the screen bad quality for me and the watch no longer started then stuck on the screen. I expected more for a new 1200 euros Garmin
for the price , it’s disappointing fenix 8 is still quite laggy especially when it comes to maps. it should be smooth in all interface. They will go the path of blackberry if they ignore the competition
Omg MIP is visible only in sunlight , nowhere else 😂 All the time dimmed . ALWAYS ON ? Lets see MIP aod in night without sun , indoor , in shade . Ohhh . You need looking with wrist where is light 😂 Or do the same "annoying" gesture 😂 Everyone is speaking about direct sun for amoled . Yes it is less visible but stil good readable. But it is vinner in 90% all other conditions . I was owner f5,6,7 . But after I tried oled never look back for MIP . Because "outdoor" its not just sun .
Interesting opinion. I went back to MIP after Epix pro 🤷♂️. With amoled I couldn’t see the “always on” screen when driving. I had to do an “exaggerated” gesture to see the time. When hiking, I had to give an “exaggerated” gesture to see my maps because the “always on display” isn’t bright enough to even see. With MIP the backlight was quicker with gesture than the gesture backlight of amoled. The amoled also lagged more when scrolling through the watch. If I wasn’t a hiker, or lived in an area where it was cloudy a lot or forest, then amoled may be better suited, but for my use case, MIP was definitely better. Both screens are great though and I can see the appeal for amoled.
@@Mdogbrown Yes, MIP is better as a cycle computer. I'm not saying it's a bad display. It's just ugly and dark without color if it's not in the sun or doesn't have a light source. I also had it for 5-6 years. I am a runner and I run 90% only in the morning or evening. Where oled AOD is several times better visible. In the dark, I couldn't see MIP without a gesture or a button press. I can see Amoled because it is always shine . But everyone is different, everyone likes something different and does different sports.
@@davidvitez9357 I get your point for sure. If I were in your shoes, I would no doubt choose amoled over MIP! To be completely honest, if Garmin upped the brightness on their amoled watches to 2,000 nits, then I’d probably ditch MIP for good. I have an Apple Watch Ultra and NEVER have visibility issues.
@@Mdogbrown I was on vacation in Africa. Where it was 45° in the sun, at first I was worried whether the amoled would be visible. I have no idea how many nits the garmin display has. But I could see every single detail normally without a problem in direct sunlight. Of course, the AOD was no longer visible in the sun. And it is clear that MIP would be 3x more beautiful at that moment. Unfortunately, we still don't have the technology that would connect 2 displays characters and it would be perfect everywhere 😁 If garmin used the technology that TIC WATCH PRO has, 2 displays, MIP top layer as AOD , and AMOLED bottom layer. It would be great and the end of the war between these 2 groups 😂
@@davidvitez9357 I believe the Garmin amoled screens have 1,000 nits brightness. Yeah, the war on amoled vs MIP is ridiculous. Hopefully the Garmin micro led screen rumors are true!
Hi, I bought the Fenix 8 47mm MIP yesterday but it takes forever for the device to get GPS lock. I mean at least 2-3 minutes, sometimes even 5-6 minutes or more. Whereas my Epix Pro gets GPS lock in 5-6 seconds. Do you also have the same problem? How long does it take for your Fenix 8 to acquire GPS lock?
@@CanInelli was it connected to phone/internet? Because for a gps reciever to lock position it needs to listen to the whole message from the satelite, which can take longer time. If its connected to internet, it can get some of the info quicker and lock on faster. Dont know if its the situation here, but it is with my tablet sometimes.
Great comparison, it really helps! Does the Enduro 3 look and act the same as the fenix 8 MIP ? And on the MIP , while using the maps you don’t have to keep using your wrist to wake it up to see?
It looks similar, I might be wrong, but I think it's only in the X size, so 51mm. It doesn't have the diving functions and mic / speaker functions. It's also lighter than equivalent fenix 8X as it comes with nylon watch strap (much more comfortable).
Thank you! 😊 Everything TheSlaviaFans mentioned is correct concerning the Enduro 3. I also have a detailed review on the Enduro 3 on my channel, where you’ll find all the information you need including a comparison to the Fenix 8. As for using the maps, yes, you don’t have to turn your wrist to wake up the screen. The display is always on. I assume you’re using the maps outside, so here the display is always very bright and easy to read. An exception would be when using the maps outside at night. Here you would have to activate the backlight to be able to see the display. Hope this helps ✌🏼
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx thanks, it does help and I’ll look for your other review. But if you had to choose between the Enduro 3 and the fenix 8, do you think it’s worth the extra cost whether you get the amoled or the MIP ? And do you think that the buttons on the fenix are more durable?
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx I hope for more energy efficient displays in the future. At the moment it is the best current MIP technology developed by Garmin in my opinion. When performing any sport or workout there is no need for huge colour palette to look at watchfaces ... with just one exception: maps. Ive had the Epix for over a year now and would never go back to the MIP I had on the Fenix 6x. I run ultras and have never even thought about battery life. On a normal week I easily get 11 days of battery with always on display. I've also never had any issue with readability with the Amoled
If you work out twice a week that battery life is half. Also even with always on display it's annoying as hell its was coming on and off with wrist movement. MIP will get you 2 or 3 times battery life and you dont have to bring charger on 2 week vacation. You have to bring charger with amoled.
Dude just keep your opinions to yourself, you have no idea what you’re talking about. I had both versions in the 8 and the MIP was/is horrible compared to the amoled display. Enjoy your MIP.
@user-fx5sw4jy7hYz9Hzi you have to be joking right? The battery is fantastic on current gen Amoled F8. I have the 47mm, run every day (40 mins to 1hr average a day, sometimes with map for my trails), and get 10 days out of the battery in gesture mode, and 7 days with AOD (gesture off).

Thanks! 😊
Perfect channel title. And excellent content. Subscribed. 🙏
i'm still and will most likely always be leaning towards the MIP version. The burn in problem with all OLED displays is not a big problem for gaming monitors and tv's where the image is shifting alot, but a watch with a constant image, is the exact worst case usage for an OLED screen. to enjoy the longevity of a really expensive smart watch, i'll be sticking with MIP.
good point never thought of that... I have not heard anybody bring that up, and I wonder if it does affect this watch?
@@dons1643 check /r/garmin. lots of people have bad burn-in issues after 3-4 years of using the same watch face. it's what drives me away from the amoled display.
Great video review, as I was looking at both versions and this video has helped me
Thank you! 😊
Thank you! I’m glad you liked my video 😊
Ya not comparing apples to apples on battery drain
@@user-fx5sw4jy7hYz9Hzi This test is not worthless because I would consider the 47mm amoled or 51 MIP as minus the solar edge its roughly 47mm, its a good comparison of the two watches, if you are not trying to measure drain by battery size but by real life usage.
@@newbielives Why would you think about the minus the solar edge ? People think about more of how big and bulky watch is going to be on the wrist. If size is not an issue everyone would go 51. Get of here bud.
Great video! The one I was looking for. Thank you 👏
Thank you! 😊
mip all day
Well only on sunny days. And forgot about MIP at night.
@@Flobert16are you fckin blind or something?
I just put my Fenix 8 solar on 10 percent brightness and is more than bright enough at night. Battery lasts forever. Draining at about .03 percent an hour
Thanks for the comparison. May I ask what model do you like more personally?
You’re welcome! 😊 Good question.. Well, I love outdoor sports like hiking, climbing etc. and for these I always grab the MIP version. However, for going to the gym and just wearing the watch in my daily life, I’d prefer the AMOLED model. However, if I had to choose only one, I would probably go with the MIP.
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx Thanks for you input!
Mal schauen..
Thank you for the great review. Coming from Fenix 6 Pro, I will order the 47mm MIP solar.
You’re welcome! Hope you like the watch! 😊
Good review! What's your opinion on the AMOLED burn in possibilities? Especially looking at it when you use it 5 years +
Prefer MIP screen in fitness watch, lasts long in all sorts of activities and "focus" is important.
I did amoled first (Epix 2) and regretted it! Dont do it! Now got a Fenix 7x Pro Solar and I love the watch. I am never doing amoled again.
6x pro solar here and going strong! 😁
But still, would love to hear your experiences of both screens.
nice video! useful comparison between the 2 types of displays
Thank you! 😊
I'd love to have a 47mm mips version without solar ring but 1.4 inch diameter
This 💯
Yes! Fenix 8 standard please!
That would also allow a 43mm MIP version since Garmin used the 'solar not fitting' excuse.
Great job! Very informative! Thank you
Fantastic review.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for doing this
Great work, and good research!
Thanks! 😊
great comparison 😀
Thanks! 😊
Good review sir
Also have you noticed the same glitches with the solar that the amoled has? I noticed the solar appeared to run smoothly through the watch face selection whereas the amoled has that slight pause ive seen in every video about it.
Good video. One to send to people who are always asking about display differences. Personally I can't stand Amoled dimming all the freaking time. MicroLED can't come soon enough.
Thank you! 😊
I'm thinking about buying the cheaper fenix 7 pro instead of the 8 solar. What do you recommend?
What about the display differences during open water swimming or outdoor pool swimming? Is AMOLED or MIP better?
Depends. For pool swimming indoors, I prefer the AMOLED display but for open water swimming (especially in sunny conditions), I‘d prefer the MIP display
I currently have the tactic seven pro ballistics and cannot stand how dark it is so I think I’m going with the Fenix 8 AMOLED!!!
I bought the AMOLED and would do it again.
thanks for reviewing these since I am in market to buy one right now... deciding between Fenix 7 pro saphire solar vs either the Epix pro 2 saphire or fenix 8 amoled ,,,, I do like the Amoled better though
The size. 51mm is not for everyone
Always on with MIP really stands out for outdoor activities - I am with an Enduro 3.
hi what do you think about garmin fenix 7 pro solar thank you
Why switch the position of watch model when representing the real world hour uses? If you started with the MIP hours on the left, keep it on the left to not confuse people.
They've lost a loyal customer when they cancelled the smaller MIP model.
10 more people bought the watch
What about the touch screen and the saphire glass?? These are the same??
The problem that I have with solar on the Garmin is that you have to charge it regardless of the amount of sunlight it receives. So I’d rather have the amoled display as it’s clearer and easier to read.
Garmin Instict - no need to charge when using solar
@@jakejoyride same with g shock. I’ve have one g shock going on 10 years.
@@MrStirstir Exactly, my Protrek is still working without even one battery change since 2009. I kept on thinking it might have been fully drained after 1 or 2 years in the drawer, but when I pick it up it wakeup with 40% battery😄.
Does the quickfit armband on fenix 6 fit the fenix 8 aswell?
I have a F7S pro sapphire solar because I have really small wrists, so i can't waste battery life on amoled. This is why i won't be getting the F8. Besides... I'm totally happy with my current watch 😁
Not much bright direct sunlight in the uk, so go AMOLED
One bit of feedback, the ding sounds in the video sound like text messages coming in. May want to change to a different audio tone.
Totally makes sense, thanks for your feedback!
According to the manufacture information we COULD say that the AMOLED 51mm has ALMOST the same battery duratio (off Always on display) as de SOLAR 51mm? If so, we could conclude that the AMOLED 51mm has probably a really good duration in battery
6:09
Is MIP solar version touch screen? I thought touch screen feature is not available in this version
Both versions come with a touchscreen
MIP is best!
Does the fenix 8 solar 51 mm have a smaller bezel?
I would have gotten the enduro if it came in at least 47mm. That 51 mm size looks ridiculous on most wrists.
it's illogical to demand Enduro in smaller size as in this form factor it will not endure as long as intended
The Fenix 8 solar does come in 47mm right?
Me too and colors
@@jakejoyrideexactly. It wouldn’t be the “enduro” then.
@@Bjustis2222yes it does…
Do fenix 8 AMOLED dim its screen when use in biking? I can't use my FR265 outdoors due to the screen is too dim even if the screen doesn't turn off.
The MIP display looks larger. Are those watches the same size at 51mm?
Hey, I have the 47 mm AMOLED and 51 mm MIP watch so they are different in size
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx thank you for confirming. I love your reviews.
i always hated the watches like apple watch, samsung gear which goes blank and wait for the hand gesture like it is a dummy/dead watch. I ordered my MIP version and desperately waiting. #teamfenix
Отличный обзор!!
Skip the Amoled Fenix 8, All kinds of consistent issues, returning mine this week after 2 weeks! Not worthy the hefty price tag!
Interestingly, how is Solar display read in the water?
i ended up getting teh MIP
I bought the Fenix 8 solar. After 1 week I send it back to Garmin because of the screen bad quality for me and the watch no longer started then stuck on the screen. I expected more for a new 1200 euros Garmin
for the price , it’s disappointing fenix 8 is still quite laggy especially when it comes to maps. it should be smooth in all interface. They will go the path of blackberry if they ignore the competition
You cant go wrong no matter what. They are great watches. Go Garmin.
How long does it take for your Fenix 8 to acquire GPS lock?
takes about 3 - 6 seconds to get lock .. take your watch back to garmin
@ I did and they gave me a replacement. The replacement also had the same problem. So i returned bith for a refund. Is yours F8 47mm Solar?
@@CanInelli was it connected to phone/internet? Because for a gps reciever to lock position it needs to listen to the whole message from the satelite, which can take longer time. If its connected to internet, it can get some of the info quicker and lock on faster. Dont know if its the situation here, but it is with my tablet sometimes.
nope 47mm amoled and it locks fast even playing golf takes max 5 seconds
Great comparison, it really helps! Does the Enduro 3 look and act the same as the fenix 8 MIP ? And on the MIP , while using the maps you don’t have to keep using your wrist to wake it up to see?
It looks similar, I might be wrong, but I think it's only in the X size, so 51mm. It doesn't have the diving functions and mic / speaker functions. It's also lighter than equivalent fenix 8X as it comes with nylon watch strap (much more comfortable).
@@TheSlaviaFans thank you.
MIP. Thanks
Is it possible to read whatsapp or normal sms with garmin now?
Enduro 3 is my way :)
Great choice as well! 💪🏽
But still it looks to me on MIP display enough detailed. :)
PS: but I am looking forward to New Coros watches. Especially for Vertix 3. Coros is making very high quality pieces of hardware.
Is that red mode from night time on the mip version or exclusive to AMOLED display models?
Amoled only
Don't do amoled. You will regret it. If you are going to amoled you might as well go with apple watch. Garmin is special because of longer batter life, solar and MIP. You are getting nothing special if you are going amoled.
Battery life on the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra is horrific. My Garmin Fenix 8 has literally 7-8 times the battery life of my Apple Watch Ultra
I had tested epix pro gen 2 and fenix 7x at the same time and for me screen visibility on amoled is better burno prefer mip display. Is less intrusive . For me the best solution will be amoled for winter and mip for summer .
cam yansıma yapmasa bir o kadar daha görünürlüğü artacaktır.
Amoled looks much nicer
Who knows mip display can be see with polarized sun glasses ?///
I have zero issues but the colors might be slightly different
Yes you can see display with no distortion.
“Watch faces exclusive to the AMOLED”?? That is not very nice 😢
Still no wireless charging smh
amoled also develops burn in after some time this means that you have to throw your watch to garbage
People keep spreading this nonsense garbage lie.
Never had that happen with amoled....
It's very rare. Of course it has to dim all the time to avoid it, but hey, at least it doesn't happen.
I have a fenix 7 with MIP and its readable even at night, if you want flashy screens buy a apple toy watch
Garmins are amazing, they use a 10 year old doshite chipset and charge morons £1k for it
I have Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar Metal edition. If I would buy Fenix 8 today for the first time , I would buy amoled because of the screen. But as a experienced Garmin user of MIP display, I would but MIP version even today. Because, I know myself how I use it in daily, how many hours I actually use my watch and my needs. MIP display is perfect for me. Thank you...
