Skip talks about MVP’s _”Jordan 5 v LeBron 4, but LeBron played longer…”_ Um, Jordan took 11 seasons to get 5 MVP’s vs LeBron it took 5 seasons to get 4MVP’s. Skip, as usual, is purposely incomplete in his arguments.
@@bamboosho0t jordan should of won it every year they even gave it to other players because they was tired of jordan go look at jordan stats what are u talking about
@@bamboosho0t lol Jordan could've won at least 7 MVPs if the NBA didn't get tired voting him, 9 MVPs if he played the 2 seasons he retired in his prime. Also could've had 8 championships if he played in '94 and '95.
Because they're moot in comparison to LeBron Edit: for you dummies who lack reading comprehension, I'm implying that Jordan's shortcomings pale in comparison to lebron's.
@El Es really 1 scoring title in 20 years jordan has 10 in 14 years michael never lost a final and won an mvp for all 6 of his finals and it took lebron 16 years to score as many points as Jordan when Jordan only took 14 years Jordan have the highest ppg average of any nba player he holds the record and his average was 30 ppg if he played 20 years he would of ended with 49000 with that average I'll give lebron durability and longevity but that's it
Because Shannon's points make zero sense. "Jordan couldn't beat the Celtics" It was his 2nd year in the league and he was coming off a broken foot, he played like 18 games before the playoffs. And the 86 Celtics are one of the greatest teams of all time. And MJ still torched them. His 63 points in Game 2 still stands as the most points in a playoff game to this day. Bruh was in year 2. Whereas LeBron didn't even make the playoffs his 2nd year in the league. Nonsensical point LeBron was a better 3 point shooter. Jordan played in an era where 3s weren't taken nearly as much. Go look at guys like Reggie Miller and Chris Mullin and Bird and compare their stats to today's players. Steph and Dame are taking 11, 12 3pointers a game now. It's completely ridiculous to even bring that up.
Although SS points are valid at the end of the day no body care about losing. MJ was great at winning at all costs and that’s a fact no one can dispute
Shannon going crazy about career FG percentages like he doesn’t already know it doesn’t determine who’s the better shooter/scorer,lol. If it does then MJ’s a better shooter than Steph, lmao. And Phil Jackson hadn’t even won a game yet let alone a championship when he became coach of the Bulls. He became the Phil Jackson👀 everyone know’s now by coaching prime MJ,Shaq & Kobe.He didn’t show up to Chicago like that.Shannon knows this as well, lol.
@@dc4690 Jordan never won again without Phil, but Phil won without Jordan, so was it Jordan or was it Phil who brought the success? At the end of the day Coaching plays a pivotal role in winning championships. Clearly Jordan couldn't even make any team a contender if the coaching wasn't there meanwhile any team LeBron steps on is always seen as a contender even if the coaching is subpar. Jordan won those titles on the strength of coaching and the team around him. How good was Jordan without those guys? Did they even sniff the conference finals again?
@@jobofernandez8293 Thank you. And this era has relaxed the defensive rules and taken the power forward out of the game, which plays right into LeBron's strengths. Context is important
Well, Kareem surpassed Wilt. And with the trajectory that some of these young guys like Tatum, Luka, and Booker are on, they will eventually pass LeBron too. LeBron is going to dedicate his final 3-5 years in the league to try to make this record unbreakable lol
Skip speaks from pure bias, complete disregard for logic and common sense. Kareem, Jordan, LeBron. It's up for debate with people that are open minded. Otherwise it's opinions based on bias, one way or another. Due to their different eras, positions, and overall career achievements/ moments it makes for a great discussion for level headed individuals. Excluding idiots and trolls. Such as Skip Bias.
Could’ve or could have. Never COULD OF... And Kobe would cheer him, then trash talk SEMI-PLAYFULLY, AS ASSASSINS WOULD, and remind Bron that Kobe was always greater and better. MJ is NBA GOAT. @@joshuag8 100 less games is way less? Not in the grand scheme of things. I would take A LITTLE LESS points per game for A LOT MORE efficiency. And that’s exactly what we are talking about here. Unarguably.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar Michael Jordan LeBron James All 3 are the greatest of their era. What separates Jordan is the fact that he made Basketball and the NBA a worldwide brand like nobody else ever could and his Bulls were the team to beat because of him. LbJs mission is completely different. No other superstar had to carry the burden he had since his high-school days and it's insane how he's still on top of the game in year 20. His achievements will last longer than ever. Kobe & Duncan dominated the early 2k
They lost BECAUSE of the celebration. Should have been held after the game. Look at how the lakers played in the 4th quarter. Lebron, AD, looked asleep in the 4th and just gave up points again and again while russ and pat bev were trying to eek out a win. Im pretty disappointed in Lebron last night, how are you gonna go off for 36 in 3 quarters and then mentally go home because you are the scoring champ. Lakers need every win they can get, cant be taking nights off.

The funny thing is Shannon wasn’t a Lebron fan from the start, because I remember when he went on “All the smoke” podcast with Matt Barnes and Stakks and he said “he was a Kobe fan”
People can’t figure it out. It’s a DEBATE show. Skip told Shannon before they went to FS1 “you’re going to have to be pro LeBron to counter/debate me being anti LeBron”. There is two sides of seeing things. Winning titles with 3 different coaches, players and team can somewhat proof you are great no matter the circumstances. In the other hand it can also proof that you aren't happy anywhere you go and always look for best opportunity to win specially looking for a stacked team.
I’d argue winning multiple championships with a single team through ups and downs proves greatness as well cause he had less control over the talent around him. Everytime Bron joined a team they sold their future to put him in the best position possible to win. It’s a lot easier to speak to 2 or 3 friends in free agency and meet up somewhere than getting owners to coordinate a trade. Not taking anything away from Bron but let’s not act like he was on those teams alone 😂😭
@@AdrianSimmonsJr. Jordan had one of the best sports coaches in HISTORY, one of the best rebounders in history in Dennis Rodman, the most efficient 3 point shooter in history in Steve Kerr, a hall of famer as a number 2 option in Scottie Pippen and much much more…so if you wanna talk about stacked teams the argument goes both ways
@@AdrianSimmonsJr. Naaah. It's easier to just stick with your team when you know u are good and keep winning. Imagine if lebron and Kryie stick together and there were no GSW. That's more than 3 rings for LeBron......
winning on single team is way harder because you can't just reset because you either win now or build for future. Lebron left cavs to team up with prime dwade and cbosh. When they were aged and old, he left them and teamed up with young kyrie (1st overall pick) and Klove. Then he left again to team up with AD. It's so much easier to just reset and team up with another great talent than staying in one place and hope that things fall perfectly.

"Jordan couldn't beat the Celtics"
It was his 2nd year in the league and he was coming off a broken foot, he played like 18 games before the playoffs. And the 86 Celtics are one of the greatest teams of all time. And MJ still torched them. His 63 points in Game 2 still stands as the most points in a playoff game to this day. Bruh was in year 2. Whereas LeBron didn't even make the playoffs his 2nd year in the league. Nonsensical point
LeBron was a better 3 point shooter.

@@Triigga86 he did 3years at UNC. How many years did magic play in college. Truth is hard to accept, he wasn't good enough. He wasn't even starting in H.S. til late.
Let’s say Lebron goes to college 3 years, what is he gonna learn under a coach that he needed? The dude would have won 3 straight national championships off raw talent alone. He averaged 20 points a game as a rookie out of HS. Imagine him playing against college players. It’s over. Jordan needed every year he got in college cause he just wasn’t that good and needed a coach to get him there. Lebron needed a coach like Phil in his career and he would have won a title much earlier than he did. Luckily Wade came along to teach him how to win.
It's not that Jordan won the 10 scoring titles. It's that he lead the league in scoring every year he won a championship. And sometimes also lead the league in steals. And was on the all-defensive teams. While winning titles. If Jordan was scoring a lot and losing earlier in his career, the point is this: He took a step back from scoring (a bit) to integrate his teammates in the triangle... because he knew that in order to separate himself from Magic and Bird, he needed to win championships. LeBron going after the all-time records now - and emphasizing the longevity benchmarks - when the Lakers are losing, is like Jordan's career going backwards.
