Well, I'd hope the S21 is still a beast. It just came out last year. It's no reason for you to even be looking at new phones. Phones now a days can be relevant for like 5 years or so.
I'm about to upgrade to the S22 Ultra, but keep in mind, I'm upgrading from the Note8. Bro, keep your S21 till like the S25 or 26 comes out or something. It will probably be worth upgrading then bit not now. You'd be wasting money.

I upgraded from s20 ultra to s21 ultra for the camera and was super happy, especially with autofocus. I'm skipping s22 ultra and waiting for bigger improvement
I generally get the latest and greatest, then wait until it practically dies on me 4 to 5 years later, then do it all again. Seems to be a decent strategy.
Same here man, i went from an galaxy A7 to the S21 ultra and it was a day and night difference. I was considering to upgrade to the S22 ultra but there are not much significant improvements. And the design of the S21 ultra is nicer then the S22 ultra in my opinion.
S21 fixed all of the S20 issues by adding in a second focusing laser. The S20 was still, good but too finicky and hard for some of us to deal with.
If it wasn't for the SPen I'd be more inclined to wait as well, but the better screen and battery life compared to both predecessors seem worth it for me.

I’m actually impressed with both phones, this is coming from an iPhone fan. I officially respect Samsung today compared to 5 to 6 years ago.. The Samsung brand is really innovative. Despite not owning it, the Galaxy S 21 ultra was my favorite Android phone. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it all last year. And I would tell my android friends to buy it. I’m glad it will remain relevant for much longer.

I have a 128gb 21 ultra and I can't find a 256gb anywhere. Its only 400 dollars for me to upgrade to see ultra 256gb if I trade in this phone but I love the design 🥲

So happy i bought the S21 ultra 8 months ago while it was in sale. I seriously thought about upgrading to the S22 ultra, but there are not much significant improvements... And the improvements that are there i wouldn't make any use of. Besides that i like the design of the S21 ultra way better. Thanks for this video Sakitech, you cleared it all up for me. Excellent comparison! So glad that I picked up my S21 Ultra a few weeks back before they stopped offering it due to the release of the S22 Ultra...not feeling those new sharp corners, and I wouldn't use the S pen anyway.😄
I have an s-pen and it's amazing which surprised me(I'm not a fan of stylus pens normally). You'd be surprised at how useful it is!
@@spamman916 hood thing is you can still use it on the S21. Just don't need the sharp corners to haul it around all the time
@@AeroSatan Exactly right, just pick up a stylus case for the S21 Ultra if you need it. I never have a need to physically write anything on my phone, and there's definitely no need for a stylus to navigate on a screen this large.

@@spamman916 I had the note 10, I only used it less than ten times. It's more of a gimmick. I choose the s21 ultra for the curve design.
I much prefer the look of the camera assembly on the S21 Ultra vs the 22 Ultra. The separate camera lenses just don't look good on the 22 Ultra. The integrated s-pen on the 22 Ultra is a good selling point but not for those who don't use the s-pen extensively. The other changes are incremental and not significant. I just don't see the need to upgrade from the 21 Ultra to the 22 Ultra.
How many people are going to rock a $1200 usd phone without a cover? It's like reviewers who obsess over the packaging of the new phone. Who cares?

I love the look of the s22 ultra. I love the camera design, and I've never had an S pen, so I definitely wouldn't mind getting this phone! I have an S20 plus, so it would be a good upgrade. 🤗
I had the S21 Ultra but traded it in for the Z Fold 3. Although I love the Fold, I have been kicking myself ever since. The cameras on the S21 were astoundingly good. If you have that phone, you should not take it for granted! I'm thrilled to have ordered the S22 Ultra and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

You traded S21 ultra then fold and then S22 ultra thats really dumb a lot of money wasted thats not a good investment though. I dont like folds i personally have the S21 plus im content to what i have ill stick to my Phone until S23

I came from the note 20 ultra and when i switched to s21 ultra it was such a breath of fresh air... the boxy type design isn't for me... now that they did it on s22 ultra and there is no dramatic difference at all... i am sticking with s21 ultra.

It was not easy decision, but traded in my note 10plus which has been a great phone. I am hoping the s22 ultra will be as good for years to come plus 5g.

Same here, very difficult decision but Samsung seem to maybe giving very good tradein value. Have seen that sales are much more than expected and it might be partly because of tradein given. Like the new cameras, battery was becoming concern due to age and use. Didn't like losing sd card too. S22 ultra looks very much like a note 10+ except for colors.
Same here. I do photography and use the sd card from my camera in my phone and laptop for editing. But theres ways around that though. Im not trading in my 10+. Since i pre ordered the 22ultra my son is getting my note 10 when i switch over, but i can see how that no sd is a big deal to some.

Yeah their trade in values for S21 basic model was a lot worse this year though. I would've had to pay $700 more to upgrade.

Good and honest summary!!! Although I could afford it and I am also dumb enough to like to have the latest - I stay with my S21 Ultra. It works flawlessly, the Exynos runs like hell, what more do I want. And I don't like the angular Note design. It looks old-fashioned to me and I do not need the S Pen. I tried it on my Ultra, but it is not my cup of tea. Nevertheless, I am curious to see how the new processors and camera sensors perform when they are put through their paces and stressed by the guys on YT.
Camera sensors are the same (21/22) right? Only new cameras and newer software.
I think this video convinced me to pre-order. Everything that you explained in this video was very easy to follow without all the overly technical jargon that a lot of other RUclipsrs like to use. Amazing quality content overall.

After trying for 9 hours, I was finally able to place my order for the S22 Ultra. Going to give this a try after being an iPhone user since the beginning.
I’m still having trouble ordering my my phone. I too am switching from apple. I started with the 4.
Welcome to Android world. One word of advice.. Do some research, watch some RUclips videos, and learn about the phones capabilities. I think you'll he amazed at the amount of things you can do versus Apple. But if you don't take the time to learn, the annoyance of switching OS systems will cause you to switch back before ever giving the S series an actual chance.
@@dougneal1917 great advice. It's a learning curve for sure. I've always been an Android (and 90% Samsung) user. Just for the sake of change, I bought an iPhone 13 pro max 1/22. I sincerely tried to bond with it. I was going to officially make the move, but after 10-11 days, I returned it. Battery life was stellar though. I went back to my S21 Ultra.
I had to wait 9 hours as well. Congrats on the purchase! I've never really understood the consumer rivalry between brands. I prefer the customization and flexibility of Android, but readily acknowledge that Apple makes amazing products as well.
I did the same thing last year ... no regrets ..for sure you will love it .
I have a 16gb ram 512gb version of the S21 Ultra. I see no reason to switch. I use an extra S Pen I had from my Note 9, and it's great. I never used the Bluetooth stuff on them, anyway. I was a hardcore Note user, but I switched from the Note 10 Plus a year ago. The S21 Ultra is too good to move on to the S22 Ultra.

It's nice that the S22 is reintegrating the SPen completely (a la Note 9) and thats a huge plus for me, though I see why not all want it. :)
The default setting brighter screen looks like a boon, though that (along with 120hz) is bound to reduce battery life and am looking forward to turning some of those issues down or off.

Not much improvement on S22 Ultra so for that reason I will stick with my S21 Ultra. 100 zoom is a disaster on that phone. 8k only at 24 fps.

It was a nightmare getting into Samsung yesterday.
Hi Sakitech I don’t like Samsung tactics, reducing 4gb RAM unless you buy the 256gb which cost £100 more here in the UK + not much different than the S21 Ultra like you said & when I bought my Samsung S21 Ultra last year the 256 gb with the 12 gig of RAM it was only £50 more for double the memory. Personally I love my S21 Ultra I love the cameras they’re great as I take a lot of photos and videos here in the UK we got the Exinos 2100 & with the 12 gig of RAM it performs very well also the sound from the Stereo speakers are great & when using my Sony chrome 1000 wireless my music sounds fantastic really really good hi-Fi sound, so no need to upgrade for me for another year or 2 specially now that Samsung has decided to do a mayor software upgrade for 4 years & 5 years of security updates, any way great video comparison thank you.

My S21 Ultra updated to Android 4.1 and everything is still functioning perfectly fine. I'm keeping it. Phantom silver was a unique color.

I got the S21 Ultra 256GB for 759€ just a months ago. Paying 500€ more for the 22 Ultra for a few minor improvements is just not worth it.
S21 as far as I know has been discontinued. If this is the case, was it a plan to stop people from choosing a cheaper option for similar specs.

So, samsung basically repackaged almost the same phone in a different case. I am not convinced this is upgrade worthy to trade my s21 ultra in on.

If i had the s21 ultra, i would not upgrade... but, i am coming from the s10+. It's a great phone, and still works like new...but, it's not 5g and i have had it for over 2 1/2 years. So i went ahead and preordered the s22 ultra 512gb. I think it will be awesome :)

I am glad for the box shape. The reason I always paid more for note was not to have that rounded shape one of the main reasons. I am coming from a note 10 / iphone 13 pro max so I will be grabbing one, if I had the s21 ultra I would say stick with it.

Hi thank you very much, I did find the the colour scene you have on S21 Ultra it is nice, if you know of a better one please let me know.
I went ahead and ordered the it - and I'm coming from the S21 Ultra. Why? (in no particular order) #1. Because the trade-in deal (my Ultra, plus an old S9 I had) was too good to pass up. #2. Prefer the squared form factor. #3. I don't lean on the camera a lot, but when I do, I want the best possible. #4. Fresh battery (not that I was having any problems with my current Ultra) #5 Faster charging. #6 Night pics/vids, I always seem to be in low-light sit uations (I have a warmly lit home) and a even 'warmer' music studio, so I'll take the best that's available. #7. Oh, and of course the s-pen! I had a Note 3 and I loved having it. #8 Will be first in line for the next update.
Who knows, if the Flip 4 comes out in August and is amazing, I may just move over to it. I almost flipped over to it this year (aren't I punny?).

I'm getting the S22 Ultra it looks awesome so I'm trading my S20 Ultra for it
Originally, I was disappointed that Samsung got rid of the head phone jack as well as the built-in S-pen on the S21 Ultra; however, there is what I perceive to be a positive side; there are now two less orifices on the S21 Ultra for water to get into the device and Murphy's law never fails. From my experience, and it happened to me three times, the S-pen is not truly IP rated and when exposed to water it will break, I had to replace my S-pen on my Note 9 twice, and once on my S21 Ultra on my 2nd day of usage. Food for thought, I recommend avoiding getting your S-pen wet, especially the one that comes with S22 Ultra that has a very large and convenient orifice for the S-pen and for water to get in to the device! In my opinion Samsung Galaxy phones are the best, and the best of the best are Note devices (S22 Ultra). Kudos to Best Buy in Stuart Florida, they replaced my S-pen and were grateful for my business and loyalty.
no hate but my phone has been largely in contact with water in many many ways (s20) and even deep down, and literally nothing happened, the phone survived, everything turned out fine, phone just kept resisting whenever i accidentally drop it into a loath of water
another thing back when i had a note 8, my spen also did resist a lot of water, I guess its just either your luck or carrier giving you a different version of the spen
We wait all that to see a small upgrade!!
