Great content. Let's keep it real. As for the battery life, the only reason the iPhone has a better battery is obvious: there's not as much put into their phone as s22 ultra. So, of course, the iPhone will last longer. Now the question is, do you want a longer battery life from the iPhone, or do you want all that samsung gives you on their phone? Me, I'll take samsung. Also samsung gives you better offers. like trade-ins, free upgrade of ram and memory, 12 gigs of ram, and 256 of memory for the same price of the 8 gigs of ram and 128 of memory. Has apple ever done that? Not to my knowledge. And now you get 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security updates. And let's not forget all the creativity you have on the s22 ultra. So why would I want an iPhone again?
You dont know what you're babbling about regarding the battery. Didn't read the rest because there is no point reading when you start off with an ignorant statement
He is actually correct. Everyone knows iPhones have zero features and can't do half of what Samsung phones can do. It's just facts. Only people whom do not know this are iPhones users.
Yea I feel the same I have the 13promax and s21ultra and even the s21ultra seems like a superior phone. In the real world battery becomes irrelevant when they both last all day. Can't say battery is a deal breaker when the Samsung has much more overall and iphone being restrictive. I only keep iphone for video editing other than that the s21ultra is still a better package.
@@reinyeradoriuq2733 well, th4 s22 ultra is also pushing more pixels and higher nits. Either way, the battery life on both are great. I will have 3 of the best phones regarding battery when my red s22 ultra gets here Saturday to go along with my 13 pro max and pixels 6. Also, the 13 pro max doesn't do anything special next to my s21 ultra.
If you want and use an s-pen, the S22 Ultra (Note) is the way to go. They are both great phones, just depends on your needs. I don't choose...I have both, but prefer the S22nUltra, since I am die hard Note user.
For me its the S22 Ultra, because I've been using Galaxy Notes for years. IMO any other device would be a let down because Samsung delivers so many awesome features on their flagships. But I really think it's preference. With that said, iPhone needs to get away from that notch.
Just switched from iPhone 13 pro max to the s22 ultra. The only benefit of iPhone is video recording and super long battery. A month into having the iPhone I knew I had made a mistake and I have been waiting for the s22 ultra to drop. So happy to have this phone
@@MichalBrat no back button. Snapchat and Facebook would freeze and I’d have to close app and reopen. Many times with typos it wouldn’t let me select where I wanted to fix and would highlight the whole message so many times I would have to start over. Bluetooth was more quiet then my previous phones. They overhyped the camera quality especially front camera. I am big on Snapchat and social with my friends. I could go on and on. IOS is not for me
Only asking out of curiosity, I have a N20U and S22U already pre-ordered. Never had an iPhone though and it seems like a lot of people is really satisfied.
@@MichalBrat it's just very restrictive and basic and can be seen as boring. Lacking features, customization and having an ugly notch etc. Also 13promax doesn't take advantage of the big screen which can make the phone harder to use, like pulling down notifications anywhere on samsung will show them but on my 13ProMax I'm forced to reach all the way to the top, we can't move apps where we want, no pen, no freedom, etc
This is the only review that I felt is very fair. I pre-ordered the S22U but my mind had still been flipping back and fort because of the battery performance and camera comparisons from other reviewers and I'm just an average user, but this review nailed it for me. Yes, the battery life is much better on iPhone and lets also say the camera is better but the flexibility and options Samsung gives (faster charging, powershare, spen). I was an apple fan I had an iphone 4, and last phone I bought with my own money was an iphone 6 but I was also gifted an s8 and s9+ , I even used a nexus 5 awhile back just to experience stock android, but right at this moment I'm glad I went for Samsungs. I'm sure iphone is still a great great phone but its just not for me anymore
That’s how it was for me also. The iPhone was my daily driver until 2019 when I started to get tired of not having multitasking and customization. Since then, I have been using Android as my main device.
Please tell me your experience with the s22 , I have iphone and im looking to change to android too. But I need to feel sure about this big decision 😂 thanks
@@carlospagan8205 Android is great but at the moment I am not having a good experience Samsung so I definitely cannot recommend them. I still havent received my pre-order for s22 Ultra. Their after sales support is quite awful.
@@william_SMMA nonsense? Dude, I just swap my S21 Ultra 5G with 16 GB RAM with the new S22 Ultra. That phone on the first 5-6 months was brilliant. After the first updates, the software was Nerfed. Android 12 on Samsung is very awful. Then, I tested 13 Pro Max, and I have no lag or micro freezing or similar problems. Or maybe here in Europe the QC is bad, and we have less quality products. (Compared to America/China). But its okay, enjoy your Samsung. Peace ✌️
I have had iPhone most of my life and decided to switch why I wanted a phone that had great capabilities of taking photos. Im really impressed with the s22 ultra I compared my mother's iphone13 pro vs mine and no question s22 was better it pulled out all colors made everything more subtle and real vs iPhone is more dull and darker. And the zoom capabilities phenomenal I'm very pleased with switching. Yes iPhone is pretty simple easy to manage but it isn't shit when you're constantly having to upgrade every year or go find some who can repair your phone after one small drop. Plus the inconvenience of even if your have coverage on the iPhone the store provider shop will still send it to Apple and you're then placed with having to pay for a whole new phone more or less. So coverage fee isn't really a thing. Vs Samsung it is easy. All I know if you're really into photography s22ultra is your phone offers more.
@@JDM4EVR glad you like it, I feel the opposite I had iPhone since 2011 with the iPhone 4S and moving over to the S22 Ultra I feel like I'm staying with Android for years to come.
Yes I started with an iPhone and transitioned in 2019 to the Samsung galaxy s10 plus and it was far superior and not even close. It was the right choice
I've always preferred android but the pro max is objectively the better device. If you're coming up off a device older than 3 years ago sure. But the last 3 years the competition has been so tight they just can't make phones that are lacking anywhere, so we see small upgrades. I have the s21 ultra and I feel like aside from the s pen and improved night time camera, they barely changed anything. Also comparatively even the pixel 6 pro takes sharper images. Megapixels are barely a metric of image quality unless you plan on putting them on a billboard or something. I feel like iphones have closer to real life images while Samsung has this weird fantasy filter over the top, probably a personal preference there but it's noticeable. Also anything that isn't the subject in a photo with Samsung just looks like garbage, the pro max seems to pull good detail from the entire image.
Great content! Thanks for this amazing comparison. Just an observation, at about 9:58 mark of the video when you started talking about the cameras I believe you mistakenly wrote S21 instead of S22 and iPhone.
Just got my Galaxy s22 ultra and started to use the S- pen. Due to the texture on the s- pen it's actually hard to pull out of the the silo unlike the note 20 ultra.
Thank you for the real world aspect my man...subscribed...had the S22U for 4 days now and you are dead on, with a few other users that really understand...iPhone really offers some great features... but this S22U is on another level... my battery life is is beyond acceptable coming from my S10+... you didn't even mention the multi-tasking abilities the S22U has over the iPhone which makes this battle for me not even comparable... aside from all the benchmark test comparing these phones on the net, the real time comparisons aren't even close...I want to know what this phone does in my hand... period. It is performing beyond expectations from battery life; smoothness, to gaming ability... to boot I got a free pair of ear buds pro, case, wireless charger, tags, and $500 credit for my S10 +(highest credit anywhere) for pre-ordering, are you kidding me... does Apple do that?... not to mention I got the watch4 for free from T-Mobile for the 2/22/22 offer... life is good. PS: oh and I have a $100 promo credit from Samsung cause their site was down on pre-order day... don't even know what I want to get 😆 🤣 😂
I'm loving my S22 Ultra right now. I think I might try something else in the future. Probably the Pixel 8 pro or the I phone 15 Pro max. I'm the type of person that likes to switch it up.
@@frednugent8068 yeah I'm just like that too Some people can have the same wallpaper on their laptop or phone for 2 years I almost vomit if it's there for more than 2 weeks lol I don't have the money right now but I'm sure once I get my bag I'll have both the s22 and the iphone 13 at the same time to enjoy the social media benefits or the iphone and the rest of real world benefits of the Samsung Not to mention how unique it makes you seem when you are in a party or conference and everyone is using an iphone You have the money to buy 5 iphones but you bought a Samsung s22 ultra It always makes people look badass and look like independent thinkers who don't just follow the crowd
As a long time iPhone user just switched to the S22 Ultra and my thoughts on this comparison is pure madness, the S22 Ultra is on another league of its own, now iPhone 13 Pro Max compared to the S22 Plus is more reasonable.
As someone who’s had both brands throughout his life I think it’s really ignorant both “fan boy” bases for both brands - being so harsh and rude over something so small (especially when it’s personal preference and there’s literal wars going on right now.) When I had my Samsungs I always loved them, it’s why I stuck with them for SEVEN YEARS!!! And why did I love them? Samsung always felt futuristic and even know I admit they’re the innovators - the designs were almost some of the best if not THE best. Feature wise they simply do have more and really you used to get more at a lower price (that argument dosent really stick anymore when they’re peddling, still very innovative, but very low spec for $1000-2000 fold and flip phones. They’re flagships compared to iPhone have also become less bang for your buck, again this dosent mean Samsung dosent still feel more futuristic but it does mean that price argument isn’t really useful anymore. Added onto to that constantly innovating means a lot more risk and not just risk to the company but consumers - as that exploding battery one year taught us… (I had one myself). Having had both phones I’ve come away with the feeling Samsung innovates and IPhone solidifies and improves afterwards. This is why I swapped. It’s also what eco-system you’re in and how one device will affect the ease of use between your other same devices. Added on to that iPhone has been proven (something I noticed during my Samsung years) to have better, securer and simpler software. You might not want simpler software personally but the security is a big win. iPhone has always led the game in phone speed and camera as well (that’s not saying that can’t change and admittedly it’s starting to in camera) but really the truth is the two devices are for two completely different consumers and both have their own negatives and positives but I really don’t think you should be arguing with people online over a phone brand when people are starving/dying.
I love what you said about feeling like Samsung are innovators & I-Phone solidifies & improves 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I been a droid user for years & I have to see what the hype is all about w/ I-Phone but this video didn't help because the Galaxy seems to have a slight edge but though it irks me too I've learned to make jokes about people who really are "phone gang members" lol 🙌🏾🙌🏾 peace
@@bhupinderpalsingh3912 It is ultra smooth, I come from a Note 20 Ultra and I feel this new model smoother. I have it black and it looks great and it feels soft like silky. It is slippery like any previous Samsung phone wrapped in glass I have had, so I do use a case. I got the Encase Falcon case with belt clip pouch. The case is very sturdy without adding too much bulk and the belt clip pouch is fantastic! I also have a tempered glass for the display and tempered glass for the camera lenses.
Rocking the S22 Ultra. Loving the camera and S Pen. I've been plane spotting, bird watching, and taking moon photos using its 100X camera zoom. Saying that, I'm getting my wife an iPhone because it's just very stable and offers a simple, fluid user experience. Suits her needs.

In my social circles I am the known tech expert. I am also a Networking Administration Major at a local college in my area. I have owned both Windows and MacOS as well as Android and iOS phones. My first smartphone was an Android back in the day called a Motorola Clique. It was one of the first Android smartphones. I noticed that it had a lot of cool features. After that, I had different smartphones from all across the spectrum. Motorola, HTC, and then I became a Samsung User. Samsung changed my life. I noticed that the apps I was downloading were more useful and offered more features at a better price point. I had never owned an iPhone and said I would never own two specific devices. One of those devices was an iPhone and the other was a Samsung Galaxy Note. Both of those situations actually happened. The first iPhone I ever owned was an iPhone 6S plus. I had it for a little while and enjoyed it. Then, shortly after its release I purchased an iPhone 7. For the most part I was fine with them. However, I noticed that some of the things that I normally got for free with an Android smartphone were starting to cost me money with an iPhone. (Mainly ringtones and music) I switched back and forth for a few years and at one point even had one of each. I would have an iPhone simply for FaceTime and I had a Samsung Galaxy Smartphone for everything else. The first Note that I got was the Galaxy Note 5. I was impressed with the camera resolution, the functionality, and having the S Pen was an added bonus that I started using more and more over time. I saw the Galaxy Note 7 and wanted it, until it started exploding and burning people's cars to the ground. However, when Samsung remedied the problem I was all in on the Note 8, 9, 10+, and 20 Ultra 5G. The cameras got better and better every year. The processing speed was really improving. And the S Pen just kept evolving. I was really starting to become biased to the Samsung brand. The last iPhone I owned was an iPhone SE 2nd Gen. The battery life was terrible. The phone was slow. The camera sucked. At that point I swore off iPhones forever. I got sick and tired of paying for everything that I was getting on the Samsung Galaxy Phones for free. I had to switch from Verizon to T-Mobile (smartest move I have ever made in many aspects) and had to take a step back on the level of technology I got. Instead of being able to get the Note 20 Ultra 5G or the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, I had to get the S21+. I tolerated it until I saw that the S22 Ultra was coming out and it was going to have that oh so sweet S Pen. I paid off my Galaxy S21+ and traded it in on launch day for a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G. With the resolution of the camera, the battery life (which they did not rate properly in my opinion because the battery life is amazing) the S Pen, and the ability to get apps and media for free that I was paying Apple for, I am back in smartphone heaven. I have thought about getting the lowest end iPhone available just to have FaceTime again. However, the raise on my rate plan is not worth it. I am bias to the Samsung brand. However, iPhone has been good to many users. In my closing statement I would like to say that from an ease of use standpoint, iPhone is better for people with less technological knowledge. Older people tend to lean towards iPhones because they are easier to use and they don't normally care about customizing their device because they normally don't use phones for media and music or to check social media. People like myself that are more tech savvy have been known to want to lean more to the side of Samsung because they can be customized and often are better for a financial standpoint. I would like to make one thing clear however. Of all computer users in the United States only 25% own and operate Apple Computers while the other 75% own and operate a Windows based computer. iPhones and Windows do not coexist well, neither do Android phones and MacOS. Apple does not make any server hardware. All server hardware has Windows as its operating system. That is why I choose to use Android devices and Windows based computers. In classes that I take in my major even now as a first semester student, I am not able to use a Mac or MacBook because it does not have the software available required for the courses. So, that is why I am bias to Samsung, Android OS, as well as Windows based computers.
Lmao yeah only about design but about software battery life optimization, the ip13pm definitely better no doubt about it. I had both of them, there is no point with big ram a lot of pixels if its aint optimized like IOS. Thats the difference btw those two. In reality there is no match iPhone 13pm is better in a short and especially long term. Period
@@RedouaneRedou I'm glad your happy, all my friends and family that have an iPhone are pretty disappointed with it once they hold my 22 ultra... As far as battery, it's equal if not better in real world use, I've never once had to charge it during the day, so that's a moot point... IOS isn't optimized, it's crippled which is why it works great but can do less than 10% of what android now does... So that's a tradeoff I guess and depends on what you're doing...
Yup, iphone users be laughing and mad. Iphone is secure, and iphone is overpriced. You pay for the apple logo. You get an Samsung for 800 with same specs as apple for 1200
For me it was this or the iPhone 13 pro max, my very first phone has been an android and ive been with them since. Never once tried an iPhone so I went with the 13 pro max and I absolutely love it. I never really messed with the customization on androids all I wanted was top tier performance, efficiency and a phone that can last my entire work day. The iPhone is perfect for that for me personally, I don’t think I’ll go back to android. It’s great it really is but like I said it shines when it comes to customization and that’s something I never cared for
I noticed that customization is sometimes what keeps you on one side of the fence or the other as far as choosing a smartphone platform. I am honestly a Samsung Galaxy Note user who just purchased the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G on Launch day. However, I have not had ALL bad experiences with iPhones. I liked the FaceTime feature which was good because I had a few friends who I communicated with frequently who have iPhones. I like the iMessage feature that sends SMS and MMS over data so you do not have to rely on a cellular network when you travel. You can just connect to a Wi-Fi network and message people from all over the world. The cameras are decent. And honestly, iPhone is now more customizable then in previous years because of the widgets that are used. I am a student in a field that strictly uses Windows, so the Android platform is where it's at for me. But the iPhone is a good device and if I had the money to get a cheap one simply for FaceTime and iMessage as a second line I would do it in a heartbeat.
I'm a dual user of a Samsung S21+ 256gb (2021) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (2019) 256gb I also own an iPhone 8 Plus, Galaxy S10+ 128gb and Galaxy S10 5G 256gb. I'm not a video editor etc but when it comes to performance, the iPhone 11 Pro that I own outperforms the S21 which came out 2 years later. Despite all that I still use my S21+ hand in hand with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. There are certain tasks that each OS can only do. On the S21+ I use apps like JuiceSSH to connect to my server, nPlayer to play videos movies TV shows and other apps like CX file explorer or Solid File explorer to manage my server. All these can be done on any android. I just chose Samsung. Problem with iPhone is that some app developers there have way too many inapp purchases or locks for basic features. And also you can't do SSH on iPhone unless you're jailbroken. On my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I play games, because they run faster there. Another reason I like to watch videos on the Samsung S21+ is because thanks to them using aluminium the phone is super light despite being big and also the camera cutout is very small too. Compared to the iPhone with its stainless steel which is very heavy and ends up being annoying to hold for too long. They all have their pros and cons and there are features you can only find on either of them. Samsungs keyboard with its clipboard is one of my most used features, I can also install RUclips Vanced or other modded apps with ease. It's an overall nice experience. I have jailbroken my iPhone 11 before but I think I'll never do it again unless I get a third iPhone because it ended up being hard to undo some stuff that just broke whilst using the jailbroken iPhone. I did find a way to fix it without losing my stuff. I was jailbroken from July 2020 (ios 13.5) till I finally fixed an issue that had some apps thinking I was jailbroken even when I would remove the jailbreak which made me just leave it in a jailbroken state till December 2021 when I fixed it and never went back to being jailbroken. So in conclusion it just depends with your preferences. Camera differences are so minor. The iPhone will almost always perform better. iOS design language is smooth and fluid. But it is limited and you can't do much in terms of tinkering. Samsung has its own stuff but it lags behind in performance. Its lighter and has a smaller notch or cutout. Plethora of apps with so many features either free or very cheap compared to ios app selection ( I had/have an app that put bulk selection of files behind a pay wall)
@@hossaingh1313 yes the battery was better I agree. I was getting about 11.5 to 12 hours screen on time. Still I'm happy with the battery on my ultra as I'm getting between 9-10 hours screen on time. I appreciate this video. I went into a store to compare the phones & the guy gave me a piece of what you said but you elaborated much better putting the comparison into perspective 🙌🏾
Great video! One thing that I don't quite get is that, why is the phone-dimension section after the performance part and not tied to the design-section. Anyways, loved the video, keep up the great work 💪😎
Love the info. Thanks 1.question. If I have both phones and I use the iPhone for video. What's the best way to transfer that video to the Samsung s22 ultra for editing with without losing quality?
I received my new S22 Ultra yesterday and after setting it up all appeared well. Observations after 24 hrs..... 1. Battery drained at a lot faster rate than my Note 20 Ultra. 2. Camera was not a significant upgrade. The photos, although good weren't much better than the Note 20 Ultra and finally 3. The phone would shut itself off randomly without me realizing it. Missed a couple of calls as a result. Sadly I have it packed up and waiting for FedEx to come and get it.
I would buy the iPhone 13 Max, but, Samsung got all my money from buying the S22 Ultra and left me nothing to buy the latest Apple doorstop. I'm watching this very intriguing video on the Phantom Black flagship well built device!
I had a fold 3 since release and if you wanna go about design check my ideal. Have the s21 ultra size with the fold 3 edge design instead of the sharpe edge bs and hide the cameras like the s22 ultra. That would be a flawless design overall. If you ever held a fold 3 you’ll know what I’m talking about
The s22 ultra 128gig storage only comes with 8gb of RAM. The video doesn't mention this and it makes it appear as the 128 storage model does come with 12gigs of RAM. The larger storage models all default to 12gigs.
@@spursdynasty7378 yes, I got that one. I pre-ordered on Feb 10th. I traded in my S21 Ultra, got $800 for that & a $200 credit to spend on goodies. My total after taxes was $532. I got my S22 Ultra last Tuesday.
Outstanding review and very informative. Music playback quality is very important to me when using smartphones. Which of the two phones has superior playback quality? I use bluetoothe speakers the majority of the time when listening to music.
But what model is the s22? Is it a carrier or international? Can it be oem unlocked? iOS will stay supported longer unless Samsung stays up with android beta updates.
S22 ultra is better hands downs, but I still end up liking the photos on the iPhone for indoor and moving subjects.. the ultra or any samsung seems to take awhile to take photos making the picture blurry.
Hello dear Saki few months back you uploaded a video on how to add sticker on a image in the background. (You showed it using a love sticker I remember) but can't find it now. I can't enable the feature on my galaxy A52s 5G phone. Please help me.
It’s like comparing apples and oranges. Both will curve your appetite but give you two totally different experiences. I went from a Note 10+ to a iPhone 13PM and aside from the customization on the Note I’m not missing anything using my iPhone. It really depends on what you need the phone to do.
Many samsung users say that S22 ultra becomes hot very quickly even after watching some videos on RUclips (not even including heavy games). But overall, both phones are great.
I'm having an iPhone X and a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. I'm thinking about upgrading. But I'm finding it difficult to decide as I find my iPhone display washed out in front of my S9 Plus. The display of Samsung device is way too good. Also the speakers of S9 Plus are way too louder than my iPhone now. I consume a lot of multimedia. I'm not sure if I choose iPhone, whether I've to compromise on these features.
When you was talking about the comparison with the cameras you didn’t even say anything about the iPhone 13 promax high-resolution portion which is a great feature…..BUT LIKE ALWAYS GREAT VIDEO…..
As someone that switched over from iPhone to android, I can say it's not even close. IPhone has a few things going for it but damn the S22 Ultra is nice. I had a Samsung a decade ago and it was trash but this thing..... it's amazing.
Nope y'all are getting scammer by advertising and peer pressure to not being called poor lol iPhone 13 is dogahit coming from someone who has Samsung s22 and iPhone 13 pro max
Just got 13 Pro max ... felt like a BIG downgrade from my Note 20 Ultra, feels very laggy, not as smooth experience, colors are washed out, they are just missing... smaller screen, my eyes got hurt... can't see anything that is better, also very slow animations in using the phone, Note 20 Ultra just flies... it's like 2x faster than the Iphone. I'm considering selling it and buy S22 Ultra. Big dissapointment.
I don't think having thinner bezels looks "more modernized". In the grand scheme of things, smartphones are early tech, and people are still in the mindset of "we have to make it thinner and more sleek and blah blah...", but once we've become well adjusted I think ergonomics will be more important, and I think Apple realizes this. I'm not saying please make a chunky phone, but when they're so thin and have curved edges it's just not comfortable.
Battery only good because the iPhone doesn't do anything that would drain it faster. Apple iPhone has a less resolution display (doesn't drain Battery) . Apple iPhone doesn't have an S pen to charge (again doesn't drain battery) if Apple iPhone has all the features that the S22 ultra offers. It's Battery would be trash too.
@@Hmongecho1 ehh I wouldn't completely vouch what you just said. IOS is arguably more optimized than android to begin with. And Apple's silicon tops snapdragon and exynos to date.
Boring phones for boring people. Apple is so out dated. Okay chip set is good on Apple phones. That's it?!?!? Cost pretty much the same as the s22 ultra and can't even do half the things the s22 can do. I feel bad for you Apple fans but ya getting ripped off by greedy American companies.
Basically this: Build quality: iPhone Camera photography: Samsung Camera cinematography: iPhone Battery: tie Display: Samsung Accessibility: Samsung Media experience: Samsung Water & sand resistance: iPhone Hardware power: iPhone Software optimization: iPhone Features: Samsung To me this is a tie, and depends on what you really like. If you’re a gamer and love taking videos, vlogging etc, go for the iPhone. You like features, the best photos on a phone and love to consume media, go for Samsung.
Long time S series and Note series user up to note 20 ultra. Transferred to Iphone 13 pro max last October 2021, For what I do which is watch RUclips/Netflix and wifi tether my laptop/ipad pro all day, calls, take photos etc. I'm having the best experience on my iPhone 13 pro max due to it's battery life. I don't even need to think about buying a powerbank or charge mid day. That's all i can say.
Idk if its just me or are there so many android fanboys (more than apple famboys) that constantly feel the meed to tell the whole world why their android is so much better and bash apple users for absolutely no reason.
Hey man love your videos! I got the s22 ultra a few days before launch and I'm loving everything about the phone. Only complaint is I can't figure out how to change the samsung keyboard to Googles. Do you have any clue how too?
Global smartphone shipments grew 4% YoY to reach 1.39 billion units in 2021. Q4 2021 shipments declined 6% YoY to reach 371 million units. Samsung led the global smartphone market in 2021 with annual shipments of 272 million units. Samsung just make the best phones👍🏾
Came from Google Pixel 5 to Samsung S22 Ultra. Selling point for me was the cameras primarily, screen res and brightness and finally the stylus for using light room colour grading. That is so much more precise with a stylus. All around very impressed. It's a sick phone. Got a case and the whitedome screen protector. My pixel 5 suffered burn in. I don't get the point in spending so much on a beautiful bright display if most of the time you have it set super dim, lol. I always have mine maxed out, as bright as possible. If that still leads to burn in 2 years later then I'll be unimpressed with this costing £1400. Other than the micro SD card, or lack thereof. It's ok, I got 512. But they shouldn't of taken that away. That would give them another edge over apple, a big edge, an edge of notche sized proportions. Shame Samsung are so greedy so as to do away with the micro SD card slot. Back to the cameras, kinda scarily good. It's better than my Fujifilm xt3. Haha not really but god damn, it's close. Scarily good camera tech, it's insane. Stylus functions almost as good as my iPad Pro pencil. Crazy tech again. It's amazing. Do like a lot. Do I feel guilty for spending so much? Definitely. It's ridiculously how expensive these things are. It would be ok once every 10 years but this yearly thing, it's insane. So so wasteful. I believe in building to last. That's why the oled burn in pisses me off so much. Furthermore a battery that's swappable, this needs to be a thing. A battery is really not the same after 2 years. Battery, software and display all need to last 10 years, work as good as day 1 as 10 years. Swappable battery achieves this, display just needs to be a better design for longevity and software, focus on 1 thing not optimize for this year's new and then bug out the rest. Hoping to get a good 5 to 10 years out of this phone.. never seem to do more than 3 these days and that's a waste of money.
Any non-fanboy would be happy with either of these. They're both plenty fast and beautiful devices. Only downside is Samsung doesn't have a normal sized ultra where Apple does have a smaller Pro. Apple notch is really looking dated to me but it doesn't matter as much on a huge screen.
When Apple will allow their customers to be able to work on their own devices and have screens replaced without having to send it to them I will think about switching back to Apple, I like being able to control my device and do what I need to do with it and not have a company restricting me on replacing parts or doing different things with the system that's exactly why I'm using the s22 ultra
Honestly both phones are good lol but as for which one is better it depends on the user. I like how they are different yet really good at what they both do. My main device currently is the z fold 2 and it has been a amazing experience for the year that I have had it so far. I got mine used as well speaks to how durable these devices are.
The reason I bought this Samsung 22 ultra is just for the camera I feel comfortable when I take a photo and have an option of zooming to maximum possible and be able to see what's beyond the horizon and S-pen also count the most because you can take notes in the dark without disturbing your business or... and pre sending text message which iPhone cannot offer at this moment.
What about hdr video there’s a few videos saying the hdr RUclips brightness is terrible compared to older Samsung what’s that about. And overall is the brightness brighter than the iphone 13 pro max ??? 🙏
Thus, Why you think more people switching to Iphones? And alot of those that are switching are diehard samsung fans, Yet when they switch they mostly say they wish they would of done it sooner.
@@quantum3406 prove it wrong then. When people talk about iPhones they talk about reliability speed and battery life. That can’t be avoided even diehard Samsung fans that had android that switched has said the same thing. So what does that tell you
How well does iPhone face recognition work if you have a facial injury such as eye swollen shut, facial swelling and/or bleeding - typical in a physical altercation, car accident or other trauma? Does iPhone have an alternate authentication method?
Samsung Dex sets this phone apart from the iPhone. I use Dex to stream Netflix, prime and RUclips. Mirror what I watch on my living room TV while my phone screen is off. Also with DEX I can stream video content to the living room TV and watch a movie while I shop on Amazon with the same phone. I can stream and get my phone back. DEX is screen mirroring on a whole new level.
If you think about it, the reason why the iPhone is more ‘powerful’ is because it’s has a lower resolution display, and by not knowing the software resolution (that could be automatically lowered during these tests in order to increase performance) then comparing the iPhone that renders at 879,768 pixels less, is like trying to compare a Steam Deck, to a PS5. Not very accurate. 4K (or near 4K displays) requires more graphical power to render due to the shear amount of pixels needed.
The iPhone is lovely, but I am spoiled by the telephoto lenses on Samsung's phones, the camera is simply more flexible and versatile than on the iPhone, completely disregarding the 'look' of photos (which are both good, though I prefer Samsung's processing as well). The screen on the S22 is also objectively better, larger, sharper, brighter, as to be expected from Samsung. Say what you want, but after you've used a Samsung for years, other displays just don't cut it. If you don't like the vivid saturated AMOLED look, you can change it in the settings, simple as that. The hole punch also looks much cleaner than the notch, and the in-display fingerprint scanner is completely discreet (and works very well). As a media consumption device, the S22 wins. If I would take anything from the iPhone's hardware, it would be the stainless steel frame. It definitely does feel more robust and premium than aluminum, I wish that Samsung would switch to steel. I also wish the iPhone had USB-C, I understand why they haven't switched (money), but iPhone users are really missing out on the speed and convenience of using the universal standard. If I switched to iPhone, I would have to carry around an extra cable. Little things in Samsung's interface that just make sense too, like being able to smart select and screenshot a portion of the screen, I use that daily. The picture in picture is superior on Android, floating windows and multitasking is much more flexible and useful than on the iOS. Maybe my apps aren't as 'secure' or as optimized as they are on the iPhone, but it's not as huge a deal as everyone makes it out to be. If anything, my smapchat camera is mediocre, but that's why I use the (amazing) camera app instead, it's not a big issue. The final thing that is a major reason why I still use a Samsung is the extremely fast charging. I don't need to elaborate on that, but it's super convenient. I've really been considering getting an iPhone, but they still have so many things to change before I can switch. I would simply lose too much to get an iPhone, it would feel like settling.
I have the S22 Ultra in phantom black, and man let me tell you I could never use an iphone. To be honest they are not even in the same category. The Iphone is using Samsung parts, but the S22 needs nothing from Apple. I keep hearing this A15 Bionic, but its limited by the operating system. Its overkill. Again to compare displays is asinine. They're both from Samsung.
Sorry if I may add, the S22 Ultra models with 128 GB come with 8 GB only of RAM, anything else above has 12 GB of RAM. Great video tho, I love the performance comparison.

Excuses. Tell Samsung to have better life going forward buddy and this is coming from an Android fan

S22 Ultra and this coming from a iPhone fan. Once I purchased the Note 10+ 5G I never went back or will ever go back to the iPhone
I like the fact that I am spending less on apps, music, and ringtones than I did with iPhone.
For me its the S22 Ultra, because I've been using Galaxy Notes for years. IMO any other device would be a let down because Samsung delivers so many awesome features on their flagships. But I really think it's preference. With that said, iPhone needs to get away from that notch.
Exactly that notch sucks and I switched to s22 u
Just switched from iPhone 13 pro max to the s22 ultra. The only benefit of iPhone is video recording and super long battery. A month into having the iPhone I knew I had made a mistake and I have been waiting for the s22 ultra to drop. So happy to have this phone

@@MichalBrat no back button. Snapchat and Facebook would freeze and I’d have to close app and reopen. They overhyped the camera quality especially front camera. I am big on Snapchat and social with my friends. I could go on and on. IOS is not for me
Yea s22ultra is a lot better. But I still think you should keep an iphone for its own advantages like video editing.
Fantastic video. This is exactly the unbiased, fact based comparison I was looking for. Thank you!!!

S22 Ultra is the best smartphone this year ig

Even though sak is Samsung lover, he didn’t done a biased video. He gave true credits for the Apple. That’s why we need comparisons like sakitech.
I'm a dual user of a Samsung S21+ 256gb (2021) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (2019) 256gb
I also own an iPhone 8 Plus, Galaxy S10+ 128gb and Galaxy S10 5G 256gb.
Traded In my 13 pro max for the s22 ultra and I couldn't be happier!
I want do do the same !
@@TechTrek20 you will love it
I did the same but I kinda regret it cause the battery life on iPhone is much better
@@hossaingh1313 yes the battery was better I agree. I was getting about 11.5 to 12 hours screen on time. Still I'm happy with the battery on my ultra as I'm getting between 9-10 hours screen on time. For everything else though I'm finding that everything else is better on the s22 ultra so no regrets here. I found the iPhone a bit boring to be honest
I did the opposite 😂😂😂
Thermal throttling with GOS and bad battery life and unrealistic colors
13 pro max is still the top dog for me..better performance better battery by far..cameras are equal with better zoom on the s22 ultra
Video is better by far on 13 pro max..
Even the display of 13 pro max is the best in the world according to dxo mark..due to natural color..s22 ultra display is no where near natural colors..just a punch of over saturated unrealistic colors..
Magnificent review, Saki. Thank you so very much.

Anyways, loved the video, keep up the great work 💪😎
I have both but if I had to pick, I'm a Samsung Knight for life
Love the info. Thanks
1.question.

@@ayejefe9780 There are other issues too. The random shutting off is the real issue. Going to stick with my Note 20 Ultra.
Glad I got the 256 gig upgrade for free for preorders on Samsungs website…plus other freebies ! Hope you got in on this deal…
@@spursdynasty7378 yes, I got that one. I pre-ordered on Feb 10th. I traded in my S21 Ultra, got $800 for that & a $200 credit to spend on goodies. My total after taxes was $532. I got my S22 Ultra last Tuesday.
Switched over from the 13 Maxx to the ultra and omg there is no way id ever go back! The s22 blows the 13 Maxx away! There is no comparison!
I want it so bad (s22 ultra) i have the 13 pro max and i’m pretty disappointed
Outstanding review and very informative. Music playback quality is very important to me when using smartphones. Which of the two phones has superior playback quality? I use bluetoothe speakers the majority of the time when listening to music.

But what model is the s22? Is it a carrier or international? Can it be oem unlocked? iOS will stay supported longer unless Samsung stays up with android beta updates.
Am here second.
Lemmie watch the review ☺️
Only thing iphone has going for it is the battery but my brand new s22 ultra is feature packed and full of goodies.
S22 ultra is better hands downs, but I still end up liking the photos on the iPhone for indoor and moving subjects.. the ultra or any samsung seems to take awhile to take photos making the picture blurry.
iPhone resale value the best ; Samsung don’t think so
Very detailed unbiased review...thanks a lot
@3:30 I believe the base model of Samsung s22 has 8gb of ram, not 12gb.
Hi sakitech,I'm a gamer and a beginner of taking photos,I literally can't choose what phone I'll buy Iphone 13 pro max or Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra???

Excellent comparison!

No heating issue on mine.
Hate it when people say “free Spen”, its not free, you pay $1200 for the whole phone. You dont pay for the phone and get a free Spen.
Like this guy for reviews goes straight to the point no B's
As someone that switched over from iPhone to android, I can say it's not even close. IPhone has a few things going for it but damn the S22 Ultra is nice. I had a Samsung a decade ago and it was trash but this thing..... it's amazing.

I'm considering selling it and buy S22 Ultra. Big dissapointment.
You forgot the sound. How they both sound, but overall nice video. Thanks. 👍

This isn't true? Samsung has the s22 plus and the normal s22 that are smaller sizes.

For me it's nothing more important than the battery so the iPhone 13 pro max that the best battery life
We will see after 2 years which phone last longer
The reason I bought this Samsung 22 ultra is just for the camera I feel comfortable when I take a photo and have an option of zooming to maximum possible and be able to see what's beyond the horizon and S-pen also count the most because you can take notes in the dark without disturbing your business or... and pre sending text message which iPhone cannot offer at this moment.
