I was hoping the first step would be to vacuum out your truck haha. When the dog is in my truck, he makes a mess of hair everywhere but when we get back he goes in the house and the vacuum comes out.
Hey I would like to get Katzkin leather installed in my new truck. Just want someone good at what their doing when installing. I also want blue stitching.
If you’re doing a DIY start with the rear 40 first. It comes out fairly easy and it’s pretty easy to do. The 60 on the other hand was a bitch. I had a pile of trouble getting that one back together. The fronts aren’t all that bad , just be careful with the airbags
Picked up factory 2021 GMC Canyon leather for $360 and can't wait to install them Yours looks great man maybe I can get a sponsor for my 2021 Silverado duramax 3.0l lol
Can you remove the foam with the fabric still attached ? Say if you were going to swap from a manual to a power seat or put your seat foam and fabric on a new frame?
Darrick, the new Ford models did away with hog rings and went to inserted plastic clips instead. The only downfall is they break easily. You can remove the cloth without breaking them though.
@@darricklee2532 Oh ok. That’s awesome! I’ve just created my channel and will be doing tutorials on how to install OEM aftermarket approved leather packages in detail and hope it will help others who are or will be attempting to install the kits themselves.
Man, I know you already have a center console in your truck, but that is swap video I'd like to see, swapping out the center seat for the center console. There is only one video out there and it sucks.
You did a nice job at the video and instruction. Your voice got quiet at times. They make a decent product but still not the quality of a Katzkin. The price point probably reflects the difference. The stitching and corners are not as nice as I would like to see.
Here’s a tip. Don’t have background music playing when doing instructional videos.
Some people like it, some dont. But I can definitely try to tweak it for next time, thanks!
They don’t have these seats anymore or atleast I can’t find them
FYI...When doing the head rests, the metal insert part will just slide right out making removal and installation of the cover much easier.
Good tip

You and me both! Haha jk, yes I actually did vacuum. I'm fact, I recorded clips for a separate Interior detailing video inspired by @Schauffer Garage

Looks really good. Major upgrade.
Isn’t turning the new seats inside out and then folding them down the better way to do this?
We’re can i finde this seat covers ?
Cool instructional video. Really helps out! How would it work for the back seats? Are they easier? Thanks for the video
Same thing basically. I've got another video for the back seats too!

So you got the leather for the front and back seats for only $360?
Hey if you have trouble getting that dog hair out of your carpet try a Lilly brush
I'll check it out!
can you still order the RRW seat covers for a 2016 F150? I can't find the online. THANKS
They've stopped making them
Dang. Wanting something for my sons F150 but don’t wanna spend the Katzkin kinda money. Any other ideas?
Great video... volume is inconsistent though.
Something I am working on. Thanks!
Looks like they don't sell leather upholstery anymore.
Katzskin does. I had mine done.
Nice! What's with the block of wood by the front wheel?
Good eye. At the same time I was doing this, I was also doing my gas tank swap and I had the rear axle lifted off the ground intermittently.
10-4. Was wondering if it was broke.
Good job👍🏻
Thanks!
Where did you get the leather seats? can you post the web site you got them from please? thanks
I got them from RRW Auto, but they aren't selling these anymore
How much do these cost roughly and where can I get them?
Where can I order a full set for f150 crew cab
These are out of production
Katzskin
It doesn’t say that they make one for Ford Fusion on their website ??
Where did you get your seat covers from ?
Right? The link doesn't work 😕
No worries about disconnecting the seats in terms of the airbag sensors?
Not at all. It's recommended to disconnect the battery first to reduce the risk of shorting them though.
Truck Stuff Thanks for the reply
please turn the music down, cant hear YOU.. =)
Thank you for this video!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
I’m watching that clock tik tok
How do you slide the entire piece out? I haven’t been able to do it without breaking the clips
Very slowly and while pushing down on the cushion.
Can you remove the foam with the fabric still attached ? Say if you were going to swap from a manual to a power seat or put your seat foam and fabric on a new frame?
In theory, yes.
Truck Stuff so is that a no lol ?
Are all car seats the same size? Like can I put GTI seat on a Renault Clio for example?
No
So can I do this DIY without a hog rings ?
Yes! No hog rings!

@@autoskinzinteriors5441 thanks ... I installed katzkin myself about a month ago.
Found out that

Considering buying these. How have they held up?
They are holding up fine. But it's only been a few months

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the feedback! Audio is always worth improving. I agree, I would like to upgrade to Katzkin at some point.
Cool video, nice work!
Thank you!
This looks like a pain in the a$$. I don’t have a lot of patience the older I’ve gotten lol. I think I’d rather pay someone to do it 😬
If I did it again, so would I.
do the heated seats work good still?
Yep!
would you recommend these over katzkin or roadwire?
I'm interested in this as well
You lost me at take the seats out...
Oh man, that's the easiest part! And a great time to clean the carpets. It's so hard to get them properly clean with the seats installed.
can I pay you to do this for me
Shipping would probably be way too much! You can find a local upholstery shop to do it.
Straight up stopped watching when I saw the hair.
Blame my Huskys! One trip with them and it looks like that.
Me too! You couldn't clean your truck for a video?!
Why would I clean before taking the seats out? With the seats out is the perfect time to detail the carpets. I cleaned once the seats were out
Truck Stuff haha nice checkmate.
Can't have anything nice for too long with a gross ass dog....
They're not gross, just hairy lol
