If you install these seat covers on a nice sunny day. Put them in the sun so they can absorb some heat, they will soften up and become a bit more plyable. Will make for a smooth installation.

One of the reason I don’t want to buy covers is because it is loose and droops, not tight fit

This set has almost doble it’s price ($869.99). They are way easier to install for sure, but at this price I’m reconsidering Kaztkin 😅
I was thinking the same, but I noticed the genuine leather ones are $869, and the artificial leather is $469.

I have heard katzkin is using a lot of vinyl now? Only the seat panel is real leather and not top grain
I just put these in my 2019 F150 XLT very easy to install $ 470 for them I am impressed with the tight snug fit but will admit they are not like katskins or original leather they are seat covers but highly recommend them

I install Katzkin people come in all the time with these slip onz and leave 😂upset only to order a Katzkin kit instead
This is basically just an advertisement for Kustom products, since you obviously got them for free. The price you are advertising is not for the leather, so not even the same material as the Katzkin seats. They are also just seat covers and not a complete reupholstery that includes professional installation. I’m not saying that Kustom makes a bad product, but you really should be more transparent and honest about what you are advertising.
I’ve discovered kustom doesn’t have anything for Kia’s😢
Realistically who wants to do a legit reupholstry job? I did it years ago on a 65 mustang and what a pain in the ass. Hog rings suck.

The price comparison is misleading. Katzkin covers completely replace the factory seat fabric and the price includes professional installation. The price difference between the slip on do it yourself covers is obviously going to be drastically different because they are different products. This guy did not disclose that fact because he got free covers and is advertising a product he is clearly biased towards. The two products are different. One slips on over the factory fabric, which do not fit as well, don’t look as good, and are specifically designed for do it yourself installation. Katzkin are permanent fabric replacement and are at least comparable if not better than factory. I’m not saying that the covers he is advertising are bad, it’s just a completely dishonest way to make a video comparison by withholding facts about the product. The price he quoted for his seat covers wasn’t even for leather, vs the Katzkin full leather. Please tell me how that is an honest and non biased comparison. Viewers should be given the facts of each product and let them decide which one is right for them. That’s what being transparent and honest is about. This video is just an advertisement.

You have the same torture seats I have. Do these covers make them more comfortable? It really kills my back making me not want to drive cross country.

@@AndrewDoesLife Driving 30 miles or more causes pain in my back on the normal cloth seats in my 2017 F150 5.0 extended cab. From what I've read online I am not the only person with this problem. The Tundra I had before this has awesome seats although they were ripped to shreds. I want to find a solution to making them more comfortable without selling the truck or trying to change out all the seats, if that is even possible.
I would've used a trim tool to tuck the edges in. Also, what is Katzin?
Definitely would’ve saved my fingers a lot of discomfort! Haha. Katzkin is an aftermarket leather seat option that I used to get rid of the cloth seats that came with the truck. Very inexpensive when you compare it to buying a vehicle with leather seats from the factory and it offers a lot more options that what manufacturers offer

You mentioned that it wasn’t just a lay over cover and that it covered the seat all over but it covers only the side nd front. Because when I saw the back part of the seats it is just a lay over cover with straps on the seats and not all around like you said hmmm idk buddy but the back seat covers seem pretty cheap to me.
I'm a beach guy too - do you think if I put these over King Ranch leather, that the OEM leather underneath would be good as new later?

I've been thinking about doing that to my Ram 1500. The only thing I don't like (was the excess that was hanging/just my opinion). Then again like you said if you want to save money... This is definitely the route to go. Going to have to look at some more comparisons then go from there.

I went with Clazzio for my ram. They look more natural and conform to the seat better

It is a cheaper option but the fact katskin cover like factory is the difference. Those clips and elastic make it look cheap( which is acceptable for most. Love my Catskill.

Is the Faux Leather slippery (butt sliding all over the place) or do they respond like cloth and keep you in place 🤔
@@wildwoodtopvinyl seats are not slippery at all. My wife has a similar product in her FJ and they are great, she likes them just fine. Obviously there is a slight different feel than leather, but for the money, it’s a good trade off. Plus if you ever damage them, it’s an inexpensive cost to replace that specific piece.

They do look really nice... however comparing them to Katzkin .... ? Not even close....A review given some time and usage would be nice to see, say, after a year of daily wear and tear.... Maybe comparing to other seat covers these guys will shine... But one critique I noticed.... When the rear driver door was opened... the bottom edge of the rear seat looked like a seat cover (10:07) .Perhaps an oversite on the install and can be tightened up... Now thats a fresh install with very little to no time for wear and tear and daily use...... I must agree one of best seat covers I have seen....
I put REAL leather Katzkin on my Challenger scat pack and the fit is as good as the factory covers. The big plus was the leather smell.
Ok, so apples and oranges between these and Katskinz. These are seat covers, installed by the owner. Katskinz are reupholstered seats, typically done at a shop, with Katskinz brand leather.
The DYI looks good, it really does, but the price comparison is apples and oranges. The price of Katskinz will vary, depending on the level of customization. Good video to help people decide.

These do not move around at all when you sit on them if you install them correctly. Feels just like OEM!

they look dope but to be honest I dont like the fact that you can tell they aren't stitched onto the seats so that something I cant live with on my brand new gladiator, dont get me wrong I have Walmart leather seat covers for my old g35 but I feel like when you have a dope truck/car and new you should invest a bit more just to make it look unreal it honors your vehicle and whoever you bring in

Its been a minute since you installed these. so what is your honest opinion now? (assuming you even kept them on) I had some seat covers and the bottom seat cover constantly slide. and have since ripped on both the seat and back. (different brand I just would have to invest in something and then be fighting them sliding off all the time) Hope you reply
So now you have vinyl seats. The katzkin looks much better.
Good product. I'm looking into set for my 2018 STX. With that said, either a solid black or a matching grey would have looked so much better without the red.

The Katzkin I have aren't seat covers, they're upholstery, at least the ones I have on my jeep. To install, they had to completely remove my seats, cut off the old upholstery and do a complete upolstry job. The two products aren't comparable since Katzkin is upolstry requiring professional installation and the other is a fancy pullover seat cover. The seat cover is nice, but won't hold up like professionally installed leather that has been hog ringed and steam shrunk around the factory frame and pads.
He’s comparing Katzin, that he already had installed on another vehicle, to these seat covers, as an alternative. I’m pretty sure he’s aware of this… 😂 seat covers protect the seats underneath. I’d rather have fancy seat covers over my factory leather seats, than spending thousands on after market leather seats… that are still unprotected seats..
Katskin doesn’t steam shrink anything. They make them in a factory somewhere and send the installer a kit and he puts them on. They require very little tools to do. If you can find a kit for your car you can install the new upholstery yourself. There are videos on RUclips on how to do it.

I put the Kats on my 2020 f150 l last year. All 4 seats including the middle jump seat was $680.00 for leather. Don`t know where you got yours for $2000.00. Sounds like you got ripped off.

Katskin installs like factory. These install using cheap Chinese rubber bands and plastic clips. These will 100% slide forward when sitting.

Are these real leather? They look faux to me. Also, Katzkin price includes the install as they won't sell them any other way. I wish they'd sell them without install as I can install them myself. I've done 2 sets before.

But overall, it's great. The cup holders fold in if you want. My granddaughter loves it and is so excited to have outgrown her car seat. I am constantly reminded that she now has a booster seat, not a car seat. Will probably buy another for a different vehicle.

Wait...these are "Premium Artificial Leather" per the website. Katzkin are real leather. While they look good, they aren't comparable. If you want the genuine leather from Kustom, its $870. I wonder how those compare to the Katzkin
I would disagree. I had synthetic leather seat covers from CoverKing in my 2006 F150 and I drove around with these in the 2019 and I don’t notice much of a different in comfort. The leather would only be softer to the touch, the comfort of the ride is all from the padding underneath the seat cover. I’ve got real Katzkin leather so don’t take this as me knocking them, it’s a great product and I love mine. I do think these are a comparable option though!
They only look and fit a little better then a 80 dollar ebay set up .. im sure there going to slip around so much because they just r slip ons instead of a factory replacement of the actual full fabric. Thanx for the video regardless tho
I don’t mind buy Katkiz leather but the thing is so hard to install and need special skill or professional specially has to remove the old factory clothes in Oder to install
