I recently had my 1997 Mazca Miata seats reupholstered, and was asked by Katzkin for a review video - and Katzkin would give me $250. I opted not to create a video. Overall, the seat covers seem to be high quality but the installation - by a Katzkin "professional" - was definitely not OEM. I sent an email to Katzkin, mentioning my disatisfaction... but got no answer. I will not go with Katzkin in the future.
great video, what I find strange is that katzkins kits are made in Malasia and most videos don't mention the fact that they are mostly vinyl the entire back seat is vinyl just the inserts are leather, the headrests console etc are all vinyl the front seat backs are all vinyl . just got mine for a 1000$ I expected better I even called katzkins to make sure they weren't fake a little disappointed in the actual leather content
In every video on u tube there is always that one guy.......congrats, your that guy lol.....you ordered directly from katskinz then called them to see if the company that makes them sold you a fake product ?that sums you up pretty well lol
Do either of you two know if the F150 seats are the same? Their XLTs are far superior than the Super Duty’s for whatever reason. I was thinking about swapping in some 150 power seats
Good Job my man! and a good video to boot....nuthin beats saving some money and learning some new skills. Ball park though how many hours did this job take?
Hey Mark, unfortunately I have not gotten to that part yet. I have been so busy with work that it moved to the bottom of my list. I'm planning on tackling it after the new year and will certainly do a video.
Those Katzkin tags are so ugly. I wish they didn't put them all over. That being said, the covers look great! You did nice work! Truck looks like new inside
Hi Chris, yes the wrinkles did smooth out over summer and I did not use hog ring pliers, there were only plastic clips so We used the pry tools in the video.
Hi Dennis thank you for your comment, i bought the kit from ebay. Thank you we had fun doing the video. I still have to connect the power to the seat warmers.
Hey man i dont know if you care or not but you can actually get the cup holder on the console in matching black from tasca parts, if you dont like the tan contrast with the black. Part number FL3Z-1813562-AF if youre interested. But if it doesnt bother you then no worries! Great video!
Looking into buying a set for mine as well. This video gave me all the confidence to install it. Really nicely done sir.
It wasn't easy but well worth the outcome. Thank you for your comment and good luck to you.
I just did it and it’s a painLOL Doable but plan it in stages. The 60 rear for me was the hardest. My fingers are still incredibly sore
Best and professional presentation on YTube 👍👍
Thank you we appreciate your comment.
thanks for posting .you made it look easy .I will be doing this over the weekend
I bought mine well explained thanks man
great vid, answered a lot questions for me
Very helpful, you are very careful and have great tips!
Thankyou
Looks great. You"re a better man than me. I'd be afraid to even attempt it.
I have trapped and skinned about 10 cats from the neighborhood. How many cats do you think I need to do a f250 crew cab truck?
Lol I'd say at least 100
Dude those look sweet, good job on diy.I really enjoyed your video.Good color match too.🤘🇺🇸💖
Thank you, 8 months later and I'm still very satisfied with them.
Great video and an awesome look of the seats. Where did you order the heating pads?
Grest video. Thinking I might give this go myself.
Thank you sir. You will definitely be pleased with this kit and it's really not that hard to do.
Good job man thanks for the advice

@@pwrstrokd6714 😂😂😂🍺 You’re great👍🏻
Looks awesome!
What size staples did you use for the jump seat topper?
I'm holding off on mine because I'm afraid of poking holes in the material.
Great job, I have the same truck, did you look into sourcing a power passenger front seat?
Hi Mark thanks for your comment. I have not looked into getting a power front seat but now you got me thinking lol.

Good job. I think I will just pay to have someone do it. Can you post a link to the heater pad kit you purchased? Thanks for the DIY video.

Thank you,, I'd say a total of 15 hours total. Disassembly took the longest 😩 but worth the results.
Can you show more about how you wired in the heated seats?

Razor blade and a very steady hand.
Do you remember the torx bolts sizes for the middle jump seats
Thanks for your comment, not exactly sure but I think t 50. I know they were bigger ones.
I didn’t put my center headrests back on. I never really liked the center headrests
Did the wrinkles smooth out later? Also did you have to use hog ring pliers for any of the install? Thanks, looks great.
Hi Chris, yes the wrinkles did smooth out over summer and I did not use hog ring pliers, there were only plastic clips so We used the pry tools in the video.
Great job Luda, how are the seats a year later?
They are still great. No issues.
Where did you end up putting the buttons for the heated seats? How have they worked out so far?
I actually have not wired up the heated seats yet. I haven't had the time to dig into it but the seats look great
Where did you get your kit from? What a great video!
Hi Dennis thank you for your comment, i bought the kit from ebay. Thank you we had fun doing the video. I still have to connect the power to the seat warmers.
How do u get the plastic tabs off the head rests on seat
Good job. It looks great! Where did you get those yellow tools?
Thank you sir, safe pry tool kit on Amazon.
Did you have to unhook the battery bc of airbags in seats?
Yes I did just to be on the safe side
@@houseofgroovedjsphotobooth1175 ok thank you! Tackling it right now on my truck. 2020 Reg cab f350 drw.
Looks awesome! How did you remove the top of the arm rest? I'm worried about breaking something removing it
Thank you, I have a series of safe pry tools. They helped with not breaking anything. Just take your time to do it.
