An Old School Tool for cleaning leather is Woolite. Dilute 4:1, spray onto seat, then use a Color Lock Brush as Josh did. Saves $$$, but it is a very mild soap, recommended by some manufacturers. "Keep It Simple Stupid" KISS!
Thank you so much for showing perforated seats. My new car has them and I literally hate it. They get so dirty! I’ll never make that mistake again! But I’m glad I can try to clean it better now.
Thanks for another great video, Josh 🎉 When you show the dental tool type … tool, would it be possible to go into a perforation hole next to the clogged one and to try to push out the debris from underneath? You could have the vacuum running to try to get the debris.
Hi Josh, I live in a condo and i don´t have point of water or energy to clean my car. Can you do a review of the greenworks pro 60v pressure washer? There is only one in youtube and the gentleman is cleannig rocks of his castle!!!! Pleaseee!!! Thanks bro and continue the good work. Regards from Brazil!!
I have 2 1987 mercedes I need to detail the interior on. What is the best leather cleaner. Leather conditioner to soften the leather and the best leather dye. I see some people say to condition the leather then dye the leather and others say to dye it first then conditioner.. what is the best way to do this. And suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. ROBERT
can you pleasee figure out a way to correct streaking from a leather ceramic coat? there's hardly any information out there on correction and i made a nightmare of my seats using gyeon leather shield. thank you!
I noticed all 3 links for the product link to Lexol leather kit. They bottles don’t look like what your using. Can you give links to what you actually used in video or what you currently recommend? Josh always enjoy watching your content thanks for all you do.
Hey Josh. Thanks for the awesome video once again! I ordered a brand new truck which will have leather seats. I don’t have it yet but, I was wondering if there’s anything different or anything special I should do for brand new leather seats. Thanks Josh!
Good video Josh. One question. If the leather has a coating over it, are you actually conditioning the leather? or just dressing the coating? I'm confused.
I have a Nissan sentra and the interior door has leather in and I used goof off on and I don't know how to remove the greasy sticky residue on it , do you have any idea what i should use?
I have a 2008 corvette and I don't know if it has a coating or not! Do you know? Thanks for the video and info!! Hope you and your family are all safe and well!!!
The real nightmare is when I had to remove glitter from the perforations in the leather seats lol that bigger flake glitter tho, so the pieces were the same size as the holes and would get stuck. It was not fun and took a long time lol. I also did the whole tapping the seat part cause I noticed it would help things loosen up. I only had a tooth brush and a vaccum haha
2 weeks ago, I spilled Mango Dragon fruit from Starbucks on my 1 month old Ioniq 5... perforated.. its been cleaned, but was nightmare. Was wondering if you can make video when spill happens on perforated seats, and perhaps cleaning cushions too? Haha
Hi, How can I remove Chemical Guys Leather Conditioner from my leather seats and restore the original matte finish? Would using a leather cleaner be effective, or should I continue with a weekly cleaning routine and wait for the conditioner to wear off naturally over time? Additionally, would using a matte finish leather protector in the future help maintain the desired look?
@@johnnyvue2716 A good brand is color guard they are high knowledge in all of leather and Alcántara they also work with closely to German car manufacturers
Use a leather touch up product between deep cleans. Keep the leather free of debris by vacuuming regularly. You’ll know when the leather needs another full cleaning.
Yea thats a pain... Just some leather cleaner and compressed air and a vacuum should do it! Next time when conditioning, start on the side of the seats where there are no perforations to get the product to soak in then move over the perforated areas and it wont clog them
@@matrixmulisha my pleasure o forgot to mention use 2 microfiber towels one to help spread the cleaner and the other towel get it damp then wring it out, that'll be your wipe towel. The water help neutralize the cleaner
Hey Josh what would be your price range for a leather job like that be from a coupe to a large SUV. I’m starting a mobile detailing business and trying to figure out pricing.
I have never used conditioner on any of my leather seats on my cars because they are coated and when they’re coated they are waterproof therefore no conditioner can penetrate at least that is my understanding
I’ve been told if the coating is still intact via water beading, you need a leather protectant then instead of conditioner. I will add that Chemical guys have a leather ceramic coating
Applying a conditioner on the leather seats so often is not a good idea if you did it every other week it should be fine but I personally do mines at the end of each month
They do! That’s very true. But it will still help a bit and it’s important to focus around the seams where the leather is punctured for the thread or around perforations. The conditioner can get in to those spots and help prolong the life and prevent it from stiffening up.
Another great video. Make it look easy. Thank you
Thanks, I just picked up a 2012 Ford Escape with leather seats. I'm going to try this.

Great video, thanks Josh 👍😁
You could always sand down the crevice tool edges to prevent it from doing any damage to the leather :)

Buy a leather seat cover that doesn’t have the holes.

Learning so much from you!
Excellent video
This guy has the best detailing videos in the business
Thanks so much!

Thank you for these videos! How do you clean your Scub Ninja and Autofiber Applicator Sponges?
Off topic but I love the traditional eagle on your arm. Old school and so sick looking.
I REALLY wish to know from you as I know you have the experience.
what is the best electric pressure washer money can buy?
Would it be of benefit to turn the air on for the seats while reapplying? I got the same style just those holes scare me fear of plugging them up

Don't let the glitter dripping strippers/street walkers in your ride.
Problem solved.
What if you have an interior sealer on all leather?
Links for the Technicians Choice products?
I use 303 and that stuff works like a charm paired with the interior protectant on my 2010 maxima

Go in this sequence: Leather cleaner>Hydroleather ceramic>wait three hours>leather conditioner
Any recommendations on removing stains from leather? It a stained drink possibility ? The vehicle is a Honda Pilot? Thanks Josh in advance 👍
Your manual should tell you. My lady has the Touring Pilot with leather seats, we use woolite.
Would you please do a video on cleaning "Alcantara"? Thnx.
Sure can.
Same here I came across a vehicle and had to research it. End up using a soft horse brush to agitate it.

Colourlock NOT Color Guard
What Superclean dilution would you use on the leather? Before the dressing.
Hey, the dilution I use is 1:10 for stains that are not bad but worse case scenario ( if they don’t get out I use ) 1:5
How long does the protection last? And how to maintain it clean and conditioned until we have to repeat the process?

How do you suggest to clean and protect TESLA Faux Leather?
"Vegan" leather.
Get advice from a fake detailer.

Can you give an update on the products. None of them are available to buy anymore.
Would a meguiars APC do the job to clean it then dressing it?
I've used Meguiars APC to clean and have had no issues.
Would the air duster cans you use on keyboards be close to the same amount of pressure as the compressed air you used?
Negative. Not economic. You’ll use up can after can detailing. Cheap air compressor is the best way.

im having the same issue
Lexol and chemical guys link are the same
Is it unsafe to use general dressings on "real" leather ? Let's say Silk Shine or 303
I've been using VRP on my leather and my clients leather for years. Works great. Just make sure you buff it down or it will get sticky
I just bought a used truck and the previous owner used Armor All on the leather seats and dash. How would I remove it? Too shiny and slippery for me.
Try APC DILUTED 10:1 (WATER:APC) or a all interior cleaner then dress the seats and dash with a satin finish dressing that has UV protection in it

Steam safe for leather?
Yes. Wrap a microfibre cloth around the end.
That’s a 2014 it has the mono shifter
So your saying to use a conditioner that can’t actually do anything because of the coating on the leather. Got it.
Does the compressed air blow into the little hole or it sucks it up like a vacuum?
It blows.
You'll figure it out.
Omg yes those little holes they get full of like say crumbs 😭😭
perforated leather is any detailers bane

Stay away from anything made by Chemical Guys.
So weird skipping an Ad from the same channel im watching.
Good of Keegan Bradley to stop playing golf long enough to teach us how to detail.
Wondering why you’d spray directly onto seats? With all the technology etc would spray damage seats?
Oooh I didn’t know my seats go back that far, date night with the wife about to change lol
you are not afraid that the exces cleaner will get into the cloth under the leather and soaks and maybe mold through the perforations?
Applying a conditioner on the leather seats so often is not a good idea if you did it every other week it should be fine but I personally do mines at the end of each month
Do mineS?

I was told all leather car seats have a clear coating and conditioner does nothing. Only need to clean.
They do! That’s very true. But it will still help a bit and it’s important to focus around the seams where the leather is punctured for the thread or around perforations. The conditioner can get in to those spots and help prolong the life and prevent it from stiffening up.
Holy yapping bout a whole lot of nothing
The lesson I learned today is to not get a vehicle with perforated leather seats.
We like our heated and air conditioned seats that require perforated leather.
Thanks for playing.
I had to put you in 1.5x speed. You talk too much. Get to the point!
