I was listening to this album last night while sitting at the computer, playing songs my 4 year old son loves, then he went quiet for a whie as the song played, I looked at him and to my surprise, he was in tears listening to the song! He said it was so sad, probably for the lack of bette word, emotional, that is.
Why not? This song has a perfect combination of melody,. instrumentation, and of course, the genius of Paul McCartney's song-writing genius. Brings me to tears too!
He's not the only one. Get that boy a guitar or a piano, he's a musician. Some of us feel music more strongly, people like that are born to make music.
Linda was dying from breast cancer when Paul made this album. Some of the songs on this album are quite touching.
This song had a lot of years...many years before Linda Died...

Man, I was super stoked when this album came out. I'd just gotten into my Beatle Phase, and expanding to their solo careers/post Beatle careers. I'm not as fond of most of Paul's solo/Wings music as the other three...but this album was just amazing.
And of course, Ringo, my fav, was on this track :3
