Gotta love how much like Lego big trucks are. You get a frame, stick an engine and transmission you like in there (maybe change it later idk) and slap a cab on top. Use it like that until it's not what you need anymore, then make it into something different.

You’re gonna want to make sure that when you’re cutting your old hydraulic line as close as possible to an old bird nest. That way if it happens to catch fire you stay warm and adds some extra light. Killing to stones with one joint. Mint..

Just found your channel, looks like a great project! I run the same truck and love it. I wish mine had an exaust brake, never seen that before on these. That is the good 466E just EGR, very stout engines. Just be ready for electrical problems they all have them. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. I bet your power issue is the connections for your injector driver module or your injector pressure regulator. The female sides of the connectors get worn thin and vibrate around. Check the injector driver relay in the fuse box on the fender. The plug sockets get loose under it and it can cause what your getting. If you need any info on that old girl just ask and I'll try to help. Thanks for sharing with us!

Regarding the defueling / surging: I work on a fleet of these things. First thing you want to do is clean the prefilter screen prior to the spin-on fuel filter. It’ll probably be caked with grit and rust from the tank. Clean it up, and change the fuel filter before doing anything else.
These internationals are bad about the coolant leven sensor going bad, but it doesn’t cause the truck to de-rate. When it fails it will display CHECK COOLANT on the dash, and shut the engine off completely after running for about 30 seconds. Same for low oil pressure.

    Hello Jesse,
Man, you always find the great deals. I've been looking for a small 1 ton rollback truck.
I bought a subcompact tractor a year and a half years ago. I've been looking for a truck and a 17' - or 18' trailer.
Then I said to myself that a rollback tow truck would work for my needs. I don't drive vary far anymore. I just need a way to haul my tractor or skid steer.
I live in Michigan, and the prices for any type of truck are so expensive. If I could find a good rollback for under $10,000, That would work, I'd spend at least that much for a good truck and trailer. Love the videos keep up the good work.
