I want to thank everyone of you guys that have taken their time to watch my video, let me know what color you all like and any other input you have on this machine🙂
A green paintjob would be something, you don't see that very often. Love the effort you put into the machine and video. I hope there are not more hidden issues on the motor, valveblock and pump side of the excavator...
Thank you very much! Well yes my channel was hacked and I don’t put out as many vids as other channels so that could be why…. Or my videos just suck lol
Right?! If you combine the best parts of Mustie1, Diesel Creek, and Andrew Camarata you get The Home Pros. Top notch content! I don’t regularly comment or like on YT. But if we all commit to “smashing” and “dropping” for this fella, we can help him get the recognition he deserves for all the hard work he puts in.
Cab back on! You can always run it with open windows and door, but it’s a much bigger pain to get rained on from all sides when you don’t have the cab on. The factory orange with a slate gray is probably your best option
Talk about being "rode hard and put away wet". That machine is the true meaning!!! Love your channel. You are never afraid to fix what seems to be the unfixable!
I really like your videos because it’s real work without drama. But most of all it’s your down to earth attitude. You come across as nice guy. God bless.
Man you made a lot of progress on your new mini. You definitely have a lot of motivation to take on this project. I’m looking forward to the next part 😊👍 thanks for sharing your progress!
@@MyChannel-d2e Right on! Yes all is well with me and my family 😊 Have a great weekend 👍 PS it was great to see your other mini and skid steer in this video, I remember those videos of you repairing them and now you have some good machines 👍
What a rebuild! That’s an awesome little mini ex. Trick I use when rebuilding cylinders leave them in the machine to if it wasn’t inconvenient, makes breaking the gland nut and piston nut free much easier!
I was thinking about you this morning wondering if everything was ok, and low and behold here you are!! Hope you and your family are ok and your pup. Thank you for all you do making these good vids. God bless you my friend!!!
I think the orange and black would look slick on there. Lots and lots of work but it’s going to be so nice when you finish it up. Great job as always. At least it’s got a solid running engine. It’s just every other component that needs love. Thank you for sharing the journey 😎😎😎
Thank you for the content. I like the production values, not too much handheld camera. I know setting up each shot is work and some of us appreciate it. Can't wait for part 2.
Hey Darrell. Michael from Sydney Australia. I have just come across your amazing channel. I love your filming style and creative mechanic skills. Im enjoying how you get us in there with you when your fixing something. I cant help but celebrate with you when an old clapped out machine pops off. Ive gone back over 2 years and have started watching your older videos. Keep up the great work. SUBSCRIBED !!

They are just part of Nature and you live in a very cool setting. Keep making these videos please. Eager to see part 2!
People always mention how good this guy is at mechanical work, and rightfully so, he's one of the better youtubers on here. But......they always forget to say how awesome his camera work is, the perfect angles, lighting, and believe it or not, storytelling. Its one thing to film with great shots, but pacing and the storytelling is what keeps it interesting. Always a pleasure watching.
I'm looking forward to part 2. Very nice place you have there for working. It appears that you already have quite a bit of equipment. That's helpful when you need it. A very well video with no sound problems, no music to listen to and so on. Keep up the great work.
Boy, that thing's pretty clapped out for $2k! But one thing's for sure - you're not afraid of hard work! Excellent job so far. This was my first video of yours, subbed! Can't wait for pt. 2!
great video, really look forward to your posts. Your forte is cleaning up wiring messes, I remember a dump truck you worked your magic on! I really like that factory orange color. You do great work! I really enjoyed the videos you. Put out! You take on huge projects. Keep up the good work. Hopefully your channel will grow.
I did pretty much this exact same job over the Christmas holidays last year to my old Kubota KX36-2. Removed and replaced every pin and bushing from kingpost to bucket, swapped the links, stripped and painted the entire boom, replaced the seals in the cylinders. It made a vast difference to how it digs, no more sloppy wobble bucket. Now I just have the swing motor to refurbish next Christmas :)
Great video as always. I have a 1992 Hanix (Nissan) Mini Giant N260-2 escavator I bought a couple years ago. Put new tracks, replaced all the outside hydraulic hoses. Love the machine, but like yours the bucket and bucket links are loose and wobbly. Curious the names of the two companies you purchased your parts from. I tried doing google searches with no luck. I have the electronic control box that needs replacing as well. Can you provide contact information so I can either online or phone for parts
Nice work Darrel. Glad you’re back with another great video. We’ve missed seeing you. I hope your health issues are continuing to improve as well. I like the orange and black because I think it would really look classy, but whatever you choose will be fine with me.
Another abused neglected machine being brought back to fresh and usable status! Good Job and look forward tot he next part(s) finishing it up! I like the orange which is something like what Hitachi used or uses still on their excavators?
Very good video showing what needs fixing. Brilliant to see the Cicada coming out for their very brief mating season after their underground sojourn. Their complex biochemistry is a whole new world of interest to people like me. Best wishes from the UK..
Great video!! What a great machine for the cheap! For the future, I learned of a superglue made by 3M for rubber. It's not cheap as far as superglue goes. I've fixed cracks on my tractor tires with this stuff. It's amazing. Those cracks on the tread are completely repairable with this glue. The rubber around the repair will fail before the glue gives up! Keep up the good work!
Hi! Just got a notification about the second part of this renovation and figured I have to go and watch the first one first! Great job and timing for me as I am doing some work on my mini ex soon. New tracks, fixing a leaking bucket cylinder, putting a manual thumb (could not get my homemade one to hold up) and getting some paint on it + some service too. It only have 1000 hours on it but I hope it will work for another 1000 hours. BTW, I had a Bobcat mini ex a few years ago and it was actually a Hanix 08 and that was actually a Nissan….. Great to see your channel growing as well as it is, I bet you are making decent money on it, great for you! Putting the tracks on looked like a 2 man job, unfortunately Im really far away otherwise I would be happy to help out! Anyway, see you in part 2!
this is what 2 grand gets you now a days? No wonder why used machines are the price they are. Looked like the swing bearings have play. Crazy how people can think this is worth 2 grand in this condition.
@@MyChannel-d2edepending on how your operating it, they'd beat you up. But the Japanese hydraulics are so much smoother, and have more finesse with your inputs than the Chinese machines. If they put throttle bodies on the motors, so it wasn't just idol or full revs, they'd run the pumps a bot smoother, and wouldn't beat you up as much!
You are doing a great job there Darrell. I also have a good mini excavator but thought of getting something like that one, doing it up and selling to get some extra cash. Cheers Dave.
Wow! Those guys really just messed it up but at least it has the right owner now to take it to the correct respectable level. Everything is in your favour and you have the skills to make it better. Why your channel doesn't have 10x the amount of subs is a mystery. Great content/editing, the right amount of discussion w/helpful hints, and we don't have to listen to loud/non-stop background music. I also appreciate the lack of cussing as well-that and mocking God which permanently sends me packing. Well done. God bless.
thank you so much I really appreciate that and you will never hear me say the Lords name in vain or even cuss I try to keep it family friendly and also try to be a good influence for younger viewers 🙂
I have to tell you, I've learned a ton from all of your videos. Don't have the skills you do but at least have an idea of what to look for and so on. Keep it up!
In my experience, if you are able to move cylinders by hand like you did when draining them, the seals are most definitely worn out and fluid is bypassing the piston.
To me, the machine's color is it's identity, i.e. John Deere green, Kubota orange, Caterpillar yellow etc. But hey, it's yours and if you don't care about that stuff, paint it whatever you like.
This channel is what Andrew Camarata used to be a few years ago. The subscribers will take take off at some point, just need to be patient and keep putting out this content
Aw thanks man I really appreciate that, and yes I know what your talking about, don’t get me wrong I love watching Andrew but when a lot of RUclipsrs get big they start changing things and going away from their roots
That there is the exact kind of project I've been hunting for.. I love bring dead equipment back to life but I havent found a single Mini Ex remotely close to me for anywhere under 6k, well aside from the Chinese ones flooding the market. Thanks for the video
Viewing from Tokyo on this rainy Sunday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your expertise, precision and determination in restoring your excavator. Well done on your explanations and narrations throughout the video. Thanks for sharing and am looking forward to Part 2.
Well I think you got a heck of a deal on it Darrell, but I think you got yourself alot of work also ! I would like to found one of those excavators like that one myself. Good job Man
First video of yours I've watched. Really good. I like how thorough you are. Cicadas seem cool, wish we had them up here (new england). I'd keep it yellow. Would keep the cab; probably better for the machine if it will live outdoors. Maybe replace some windows with screen and add a fan inside if too hot. Deer flies and mosquitoes are bad here and I'm shorter, so I'd prefer the cab I think (mine has none).
Wow, you are amazing. Really know your stuff, but you have to if you are going to have excavation and heavy equipment. I am sure you were "hoping" that not much was wrong with the excavator except what you could see from the beginning, however I am sure you are not surprised at what you are finding. Considering how much a new machine will cost this is probably the best way to go anymore. Looking forward to watching the second part! Thanks for posting.
Another first class video! Could do with a bit more doggo content though! I was surprised to see stuff you'd ordered from the UK (where I am) I dread to think what the postage or shipping cost you! The term 'clapped out' is used a lot here, I've never seen it used on your side of the Pond! Anyway, thanks for this upload, already looking forward to the next. Take care & best wishes :)
Hey brother watching from Australia. Love your channel and no nonsense everyday approach and narration, just subscribed and cant wait to see your new stuff keep up the good work and god bless
MM77 Approved 👍🏻👍🏻…………………………I really do enjoy your videos. I love knowing how stuff works , but I would never take things apart like you do. I would just end up taking it to the scrap yard! LOL
I think the cabin makes the excavator look like what it is but it might be better to take it off. Quite interesting project and can't wait to see more!!! Black and orange color sceme sounds good👍👍
That machine has had a real hard life . what seemed to be a cheap purchase , ended up a money pit . having said that , I admire your working effort immensely . have to hand you that . with that i have subscribed . I am also from ENGLAND , GB . . KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK .
I'd advise the black plastic spiral wrap for the hydraulic hoses. Makes it look nice and won't get tore up as much as the steel wire type. Nice channel btw, no hype or click bait ! Cheers, Ard

Viewing from Tokyo on this rainy Sunday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your expertise, precision and determination in restoring your excavator. Well done on your explanations and narrations throughout the video. Thanks for sharing and am looking forward to Part 2.
Glad you enjoyed it! thank you!!
Awesome, so nice seeing your Adventures again!
Glad you like them!
Well I think you got a heck of a deal on it Darrell, but I think you got yourself alot of work also ! I would like to found one of those excavators like that one myself. Good job Man
you got that rite bill!
Richard Petty Blue and Orange. Put a big number 43 on the top of the canopy when you install one...... lol
So glad to see you back! Love the channel man!!
Appreciate it!😊😊
How about Manitowoc red? That color will give your backyard some class!
Nice rebuild and the effort you put in to that clapped out machine. Kudos to you.
Cheers from Finland.
Thank you very much! You made some very good points, I think I’m gonna keep the cab
I really like your presentation of the videos. You seem to be all business and not be comedian like most you tubers. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that!
Thanks man!!
Waiting for your next video my brother hope all is well God bless
Out standing and keep track off that stuff great work can’t wait for

Thank you so much Carlos I love seeing your comments!
orange yellow with gray bottom would look good
MM77 Approved 👍🏻👍🏻…………………………I really do enjoy your videos. I love knowing how stuff works , but I would never take things apart like you do. I would just end up taking it to the scrap yard! LOL
Thanks again my friend! I always enjoy your comments!! your a cool dude😎😊
Could ya put some kind of a/c unit on it then you would have heat and air. Maybe a tractor unit idk. I like the cab but your digger
I think the cabin makes the excavator look like what it is but it might be better to take it off. Quite interesting project and can't wait to see more!!! Black and orange color sceme sounds good👍👍
Well that escalated quickly looking forward to seeing the rest of the videos on this
I LOVE your “Shop Inspector”. LOL👍. Great video, Toooo the point
That machine has had a real hard life . what seemed to be a cheap purchase , ended up a money pit . having said that , I admire your working effort immensely . have to hand you that . with that i have subscribed . I am also from ENGLAND , GB . . KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK .
it sure has!! thank you so much my friend and welcome aboard 🙂
LOL, my man just chilling as it rolled back off the trailer. 🤣 Nice grab bro! ✊🏻
Awesome its amazing the man hours you put in can’t wait
Thank you! It’s been a lot so far!
I always enjoy these videos. Pretty soon you're gonna have a full arsenal of well restored equipment that you saved from the bone yard.
I'd advise the black plastic spiral wrap for the hydraulic hoses. Makes it look nice and won't get tore up as much as the steel wire type.
Nice channel btw, no hype or click bait !
Cheers, Ard
You, Sir, are a brave man. I wouldn't have taken that machine for free if they delivered it to me.
lol thanks!
Those cicadas are too funny. They act like they're a shop foremen watching over how you take apart that cylinder lol
🤣
That was a awesome video! Boomlift sure came handy lifting that cab 🤩👍
it sure did🙂
Great video, looking forward to the next one. Doggy loves those cicadas 😊
hahah oh my gosh he couldn’t stop playing with them and eating em lol
