I used to work on those Hagglund bandvagns at a USAF site in Alaska - they called them SUSVs; Small Unit Support Vehicle. They used them for getting up and down the mountain, which was kind of sporty in very bad weather, but they got it done. They tended to slide around in the wind. We eventually added spikes to the tracks, which helped a lot. Well made beasts indeed.

That's the nature of living in remote places. if and when something happens, you need to have the equipment to fix it yourself because there are no guarantee that someone else will be able to help you. If a small flooding occur at an airport in a city of 400 000 , they will just call _a_ "water-removal-company" downtown and have them fix it. They don't need to have the equipment themself.

Greetings Kind Sir; I just wanted to pass along some information to you. For your siphon pumps. There are Storz couplings that are 90 degree elbow swivel joints that are attached to the outlet joint. This way you do not lose 33 percent or more of the volume to the discharge line and to avoid the hose flopping around at the first joint. Since you are looking for volume rather than pressure, the aluminum alloy swivel joints work well in either case. Cheers

What a great video. Not seen your channel before. If this is anything to go by I've a bit of catching up to do. You've really gone the extra mile in filming and editing. Well done indeed!

I thought you were going to get a road sweeper/washer for cleaning those markings but you got the fire truck instead. That was much more impressive to see.

The bv 206 atv can swim. So no need to worry about the depth. Just make sure you remember the bungs in the bottom unlike a mate who forgot to put his back in after washing. When he sunk his in Port Stanley, in the Falkland islands during swim testing.

That's an incredible, unintentionally awesome shot. You can see the water turn from murky brown to clear...after the water blew the camera around a bit.

Nope I’m not jealous at all that you get to drive a hagglund is that the BV206 model I’m no expert only that I’d love to drive one of those across a muddy or wet field.
I bet you never work a day in your life, because if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life, but you are a man of many talents and you have many toys to play with

That BV206 really does the works!
Don't recall hearing about it but fixing that depression somehow might be in order. However that's going to happen.
Can't do this every spring thaw.
