Thanks for the video! You gave some good tips there. I think you can get more chicks with owning a L322, but the LR3s are pretty decent.

Have owned an LR3 for three years. 130k miles. I wanted something "interesting," not necessarily reliable, but also not a complete basket case. I actually wanted an old Jeep XJ, but they hit a 'vintage' car bubble, and a $2k XJ was suddenly $6-10k. So, now facing a budget of $6-$7k, I saw these LR3s with old-school luxury features and great looks. Toyota SUVs are expensive used, reliable as hell, but for me, boring. If you want reliable and trouble-free, don't buy a Land Rover lol.
    1) I like the junkyard, and it helps keep replacement costs down or with keeping spare parts on hand for diagnosis. Range Rovers and Range Rover Sports use a lot of the same parts. Hardly find an LR3 in the junkyard.
    2) Problems: sunroof water leak, windshield cowl leak, dirty or failed throttle body, dirty or failed MAF, bad EGR valve, coolant hose and thermostat housing cracks, vacuum leaks galore (intake cracks, intake manifold gasket), bad PVC valve. I'm currently chasing down lean codes.

I’ve been searching for a good used LR3 for a cheaper price. I have run into a couple that have the air suspension collapsed. How hard / expensive is it to rebuild air suspension? My understanding it’s the compressor, the valves, the lines and the bags / shocks. Is there ever an easy fix for a suspension that is completely collapsed?

Not really. They all suffer from a lack of maintenance

“Cheapest” option would likely be switching to coil.
Assuming that the air compressor /block, and all bags would need to be replaced. Vs just getting coils

Don’t remove the air suspension ….. it’s a massive plus on the vehicle for on and off road

Benefits to these is that you can get them cheaper.
Vs the built in reliability you pay for up front with Toyotas

@robertfonovic3551 literally I tried to find a Toyota or Lexus truck that was like 20 years old and they all have 300000 miles and 15k price tag
