You two are an absolute delight. My mother was 100% Norwegian, and I was blessed to know my great grandparents. My family had a garden, fruit trees, farmed the land, gardens, quilted, embroidered, knitted, crocheted, sewed, tatted, canned, and so many things to survive. You bring so much of this back to me as they're all gone now. Blessings to you.
Yes, it would be interesting to see how the beautiful and detailed Liberty fabrics are made. Arne, might it help you to use a “fussy cut template”? They make cutting out each motif, so they are all the same, faster. You can make your own out of card stock. There are explanations on the internet if you haven’t discovered this technique yet.- Mary
The idea of using the machine embroidered hankies (they are more decorative than useful ☺) to make the design motifs are great! It's always interesting to see how your "design eyes" are so much more pattern forward than mine e.g. mixing checks and plaids with florals. ☺And YES to seeing a tour of the Liberty Mill near Como!!! Lovely place you live.❣
I love the greenhouse and your lovely view of the lake. I could sit out there and knit all day! The hexi quilt is going to be so beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it all complete. Have a wonderful week! ❤❤🤗😘
Carlos, If you haven't started your piecing yet... Consider foundation paper piecing (different from English paper piecing). Foundation paper piecing usually is done by machine and results in the most accuracy. 💖🌞🌵😷
Arne, consider glue basting the two layers of fabric together and you'll have a much easier time. Most people use a white school glue which is made to easily wash out. It's also very inexpensive. A quick once over with an iron and it dries in an instant. 💖🌞🌵😷
❤ The Liberty fabrics are gorgeous! How to choose? Carlos, if there is a fabric you cannot resist, but it doesn’t make it into the quilt, remember: cushions! A fabric mill tour is always fascinating! ❤ Happy Sunday!
Yes please do a video tour of Liberty fabric making? Love your hexagon making for a quilt. The Greenhouse is so lovely. Great setting wish I were there. Thank you both.❤❤😊😊
Hi guys I enjoyed the quilt video the hanky are a great ideA to make a quilt I like that the embroidery is all done it looks like a beautiful day for doing things outside thanks for the video today take care see you later
Hi to you both. I got some results from ancestry and I always knew I had family from Norway and I’m 40% Norwegian. I sure wish I got to know them all. But I live vicariously through you both. Absolutely love your channel 😊
Thank you for your quilting update! I'm planning to work on my Agnes hexagon pillow this summer on the days that are too hot for knitting. Liberty cotton is AMAZING! I'd love to see the Italian factory too!
It's such a pleasure watching your podcasts and everything you do Arne and Carlos! It is wonderful what you do and I learn so much about everything from you! Love you guys! ❤Keep up the good work!
Hi Guys! I'm super late to the quilting party. I'm wondering what you are doing with the paper hexagons. are they only like a stencil so that all hexagons have the same size? or is Arne actually sewing them in? if yes, isn't that interfering with the washability from the quilt? (plus killing the softness of a blanket)
I would love to see were they make Liberty fabric. I love that you guys get so involved in hexagon that’s my favorite too and Kate is one of my people that I watch all the time too. She’s wonderful thank you guys. Have a wonderful day.
Beautiful combinations. For easy paper removal some people punch a hole in the center of the paper hexagon and it's real easy to pop out. Love this video.

I'm so impressed by the outdoor ironing! What a great idea so you can enjoy quilting outdoors.
Yes organize a quilting and yarn store tour in the UK, France or Italy.
Use half square triangles where you can.

Beautiful ... and cutting hexagons just so with a wind that was not altogether quiet on that day! Definitely worth the revisit.
Thank you!
As a quilter, my color "rule" is that if none of the colors "go together", then really they ALL go together!
That is a great rule!
You can use a fusible like Mystyfuse to put the two fabrics together
Thank you Michele.
Moose, moose Freija! x❤
☺️☺️
I would love to see a video of Liberty Fabric production.
Use some of your own fabrics!
We are doing a tutorial soon where we use our own fabric, stay tuned!
Kate's Q and A planning book..

The paper hexagons are so they have the same size. They are removed.
