I first heard of Tiny House thru Jenny. I was new to quilting, and thought “Wouldn’t it be fun to make a tiny house with the scrap of every quilt I make? It would be like a Quilt Journal Quilt! 5 years later, I have 59 tiny houses made! And each house is embroidered with the year, and if it was gifted, who it was gifted to. And if I kept it, just the year. Thank you for the inspiration 5 years ago!
I became obsessed with them, too, after seeing Jenny's!! After seeing her on the one video with some of the "doors" having characters peeking out, I started looking thru my stash & found prints with ghosts, scarecrows, cats, different things to use for mine! Of course they had to be tiny to fit the size of the door but they were really fun to use.
What a great idea! I may “steal” it! I think having a memory quilt of my own from each gifted quilt is going to be wonderful! Thank you for sharing!! 😄
I made the tiny house quilt back in 2019-2020. It was during Covid , I made a house for every day we were homebound. 225 days…225 houses. The quilt is massive, but a positive effect of COVID….I was able to quilt every single day. And I have a beautiful quilt from that time.
The Doan Girls really upped their game with this Triple Play! Misty should send this quilt to the little town you visited. I bet the people would love it.
I was rewatching this tutorial and realized you could totally change Natalie's little houses to birdhouses by simply adding a round circle instead of a door and windows! So fun! Thanks Natalie. 💖
Love this idea! I have some fabric with little birds on it, would be so cute to fussy cut a bit of that so it looks like the little bird is peeking out
@@jandearlivinglife4433 I have an Olfa circle cutter, but you can easily just find round objects the size of the circles you want (a spool of thread, a large coin, a tiny jar lid, etc), draw on the paper side of your fusible, and cut out with scissors. Great idea, thanks for sharing!! 🐦 🏠 😊
I really loved it too. I want to make that one too. Right now I want to make Jenny’s . I want to make Nats tho too I loved all these quilts a whole bunch.
I made a little house quilt from my scrap fabric....it turned out so cute. I added trees and the sun and other embellishments, I was so pleased with it.
WOW...the ladies have outdone themselves. At first I thought Natalie's was too fussy, but I was mistaken. It;'s an easy project. I loved both Misty and Jenny's quilts and then Jenny topped it all off with TWO bonus projects. This Triple Play is a HOME RUN!!!
Misty, 2 years ago I purchased 2 layer cakes "At the Helm" from MSQC along with a 2 yard and 1 yard coordinating prints from the line. Have been waiting for a pattern to speak to me and I think this would be wonderful in your design.
I see my life fly by. I can’t believe it is Triple Play already. I look forward to these ladies every month, but a month couldn’t have gone already. Thank you MSQC for another great Triple Play.
Our winter quilting group made little house blocks last year from our accumulated scraps, then swapped around. Lots of different projects, from quilts to table runners to place mats to pillows, you name it. Was so much fun at the end of the year when we had our little show to see all the different interpretations.
Seriously I had to pause the video and order immediately!!!! Can not wait to make Jenny’s quilt version! So so so fun. Also see this being done in a Christmas 🎄 scheme. ❤. Thank you ladies for so much inspiration 😍
You will love it, Ireland is so green and beautiful. If you have a car and plan to drive to the south, I highly recommend visiting Kinsale. It is an absolutely darling little town, so fun!
I love triple play day, all your quilts are awesome, but this time I am in love with Mistys quilt. I think I will make a small wallhanging. It will be perfect for summer. Thank you ladies for all your inspiration. I hope some day I can come to Missouri. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪 love your Galway Bay quilt Misty. I did see the photos of your Ireland visit. I made my grandson Donnacha a tiny house pillow, he loves it. Thanks girls.
I recently finished 2 quilts with Jenny’s original tiny houses. I used all scraps from dresses I made for my Granddaughters and presented them the quilts. They are beautiful and full of memories. Love these new designs.
Love all these, they are so great! A couple of weeks ago, I found 15 already made little houses that I've been trying to figure out what I should do with them. Now my head is spinning with ideas! Thank you!
I have to say I am totally impressed by your tutorial. I have subscribed and WILL be flowing you more closely. I have quilted for 35 years and, yes, I have seen that block before, but learned some things from you! One thing I absolutely loved that you said. Your points did not match....you are not perfect. ALL quilters need to remember those words. When you quilt that beautiful quilt no one will notice! You did an amazing job and your choice of colors was awesome. I want to go get some of those colors now😅. Keep quilting. You are doing a great job!
I absolutely adore all three of these quilts ladies!! You are all amazing! Thx so much for sharing your wonderful talents and 🙏 inspiration. Love you all. Big hugs and smooches 😘
I watched this video 3 times just to watch how Misty made her quilt! It was so clever. I've avoided making boats because they seemed to fussy to me. But, the way Misty made it makes so much sense! Thank you!
I love these quilts! Natalies is the ultimate scrap buster, Misty's is just stunning and SEW fun and the black background in Jenny's really makes the quilt pop. As with all your tutorials I learn something new and fun. The day I met Jenny she has just completed a day of filming and that is the blouse she was wearing :) and that was just about 3 weeks ago. The Doan girls are simply the best!
So I saw Natalie's small project with hand embellishment.. YES! I love me some hand embroidery. I loved Jenny's table runners so much. But wow Natalie, Galway Bay has got to be your best triple play to date, could also be because I'm quarter Irish, but this one is going on my "before I go the big retreat in the sky" list.
Love Mistys houses. Have alreade started another project with the shoreline fabrics. I think I will rip that and try to save the fabric to a house quilt instead. To many ideas - to little time and fabrics.
Love this! I especially like Natalie’s quilt, not only because they are tiny and cute and have so many points of interest (especially the wall hanging) but also because the backgrounds are something OTHER THAN white!
I've been afraid to use black or dark backgrounds due to the possibility of the color running. But I love the contrast. I washed a gifted quilt with burgundy. I used 2 color catchers, cold water, and the quilt got ruined. I prewashed a black piece of fabric, 2 times in hot with color catcher. The black was still not set. I didn't dare use it on a quilt. Any suggestions??
I love each one’s creativity and the finished product. All of these are amazing!!! But if I were to make one, it would be Jenny’s neighborhood!!! Love the fabric with the black background.
I was thinking it was Triple Day today! Yay! Jenny's just sang to me! I have a layer cake or two that would work with that!! Her excitement over the stars is just catching! Great block & projects this month, ladies... & as usual y'all are looking fabulous! Happy quilting! 🧵
Wow ladies you really hit it out of the ballpark on these quilts they’re awesome they’re beautiful and also very colorful thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us❣️🧵🪡✂️💖💗💓💕
Just when I think that there couldn’t possibly be a better Triple Play, the Doan ladies come up with a new set of quilts that I simply can’t live without! Ladies, all three of your quilts are on my “must make” list. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent and knowledge with me! I’m so excited!!!❤️
I adore these house quilts. Misty is always coming up with new ways to do tricky piecing. The flying geese today. The square -in- a-square trick not long ago. Great Triple Play. Thank you all. 🥰❤️🧵🪡
Adorable Ladies!! I love all these projects. I just ordered the pattern for "Galway Bay!" I have my first Great Grandson due in February, he needs a quilt with Galway row houses and ⛵ s. I'm excited to do it. I may turn Natalie's houses into bird houses. And Jenny, your houses and stars are wonderful. I think that's a great wedding present, so maybe 🤔 soon for another grandchild. Golly, you all give such great ideas and teach so well. Huggles Always 💖🍀🤟🙏🤗✂️🪡🧵🦓 Liz in Northern California
❤❤❤ Love all of the quilts. Jenny, your quilt is beautiful and we love it. Triple play is our favorite to watch thank you for your tutorials you and your family or the best
I’ve tried. I won’t even tell you the responses that I got from my elementary students. Very rude about it. I had to send one out of my classroom. Elementary kids do not have any interest in this “old lady, boring” stuff, according to a class of 5th graders.
You ladies absolutely amaze me with your creative work. Each of these quilts are so unique. Thank you for sharing and showing us how to accomplish these tops. So remarkable. Y'all take care and God bless.
Oh ladies you have it out of the park with this triple play. I love all of these but I ordered the squares to make Galway Bay. Just absolutely love the house and sailboats and pinwheels in it. You are all so talented and I enjoy watching and learning from you. Thank you so much being willing to teach us.
You ladies are sooooo clever! All three are so different from one another. So beautiful! My husband and I spent a week in Galway on a Mission trip. LOVED the sweet little town. I remember every morning (rain or shine) seeing the mothers walking their babies in their prams.
I love all three AND the bonus projects, too. I really appreciate a darker background now and then ( although I understand the white can be easier to film). I also really appreciate less waste - so hooray for the bonus projects!! A Grand Slam today!!
I love, love, love your Triple Play videos!! You ladies have such wonderful and different ideas, plus the bonus projects are just the icing on the cake! Thank you for what you do to keep us quilters inspired!
I just arrived in Amsterdam and the tall houses look like here too! I am a Ready addicted to little houses…this triple play has fed my addiction! 💜💜💜🏡🏡🏡
Oh my gosh Ladies!! I can usually pick a favorite, but this time, they're all just so great 🥰🥰 I've always loved Jenny's tiny houses anyway, so loved Natalie's. The way Misty did hers-I'm so going to do that!! And Jenny's project with all the extra projects-WINNER!!
What a GREAT VIDEO!! Probably my favourite Triple Play. All 3 quilts are very nice and i want to make them all. Love, love love it.💗💗💗 Three hearts one for each of you!!!

I do this too but didn’t think to put name and year on them great idea

I was rewatching this tutorial and realized you could totally change Natalie's little houses to birdhouses by simply adding a round circle instead of a door and windows! So fun! Thanks Natalie. 💖
Oh love this idea.. I am a newbie so now I am off to find out how would one add a circle.
Love this idea! I have some fabric with little birds on it, would be so cute to fussy cut a bit of that so it looks like the little bird is peeking out
@ That’s a great idea! Go for it 💕

Enjoying Misty’s quilt tutorial “Galway Bay”. My apartment looks over Galway Bay. So glad she liked Galway
I really loved it too. I want to make that one too. Right now I want to make Jenny’s . I want to make Nats tho too I loved all these quilts a whole bunch.
Jenni I love how you are so frugal with your scraps
This is one of my favorite Triple Play segments and that is really saying something because I always love your Triple Play episodes!
I agree...would love to make all three!
I made a little house quilt from my scrap fabric....it turned out so cute. I added trees and the sun and other embellishments, I was so pleased with it.
That sounds so pretty!
Misty that is such an interesting quilt design
These are great for those fabrics that we all have that we don't love. If you don't like the fabric, you haven't cut it small enough yet.
Yes!! I have 3 bundles of 1/2 yard pieces. So, 20 fabrics, a yard and a half of each, that I don't care for. Maybe this is small enough pieces!!
😅 I love that!
Natalie…your bonus block would make an adorable pillow cover.
Love them all. Natalie's would be a great stash buster. Love Misty's sailboats and Jenny's wonky stars.
These projects are so pretty. I love Triple Play days.
Sew Clever Misty
I need to make some sail boats❤
This triple play is one of my favorites. Thanks Ladies
I love Misty’s quilt
This is one of the best triple plays you all have done. I'm going to miss Jenny after September.
oh, what did I miss ? What is happening after September ??
@@SharieBlalock Ron and Jenny are taking 2 years off to do missionary work. They are leaving right after birthday bash.
Can they do that?
