    Now i see why people love the Rembrandt version! But the roman szmal version is so soft/velvet looking! And both are way more transparent that i thought they could even be. For me tho, the way they mix is the main thing. Would love to see those two specifically, mixed with the common single pigment staples.

    I found winsor&newton's smalt(pv15) is a delicate violet blue color which resembles hyacinth and not as pastel like as most lavenders. It granulates like regular ultramarine violets.

      Ciao! We adopted Violet almost 12 years ago from the animal shelter here, so she will be close to 13 years old. She is a Corgi/Jack Russell mix, believe it or not, "Violet" is the name the shelter workers gave her. It's my fave flower so we kept it! She can be a "handful" sometimes, but adorable, and she's the heart of our little family. xoxo PS I do have "periwinkle" from a. gallo so I will swatch soon. Thank you as always for your enthusiasm!

    I like the Lavender from Daniel Smith and Mijello Mission Gold (looks similar) in a Mix with the Jaune Brilliant 1 + 2 from Mijello Mission Gold. Last Weekend I was in a Painting lesson with a lovely Artist (Anna Kataian). She shows me how perfect these colours are mixing in a maritim evening painting. Mijello is an South Korean brand and Mission Gold is the artist grade. You should buy a dot card. The dots in it are very large. Its really nice.

    Shinhan do a lovely lavender as well as Holbein. there are infact 2 types of 'lavender' Blue shade or Pink shade. The pink shade is more lilac which is the same as Wisteria or Lilac purple. Blue shades are lavender . Some lavenders are smooth and some are granualting depending on the brand.

    Hi Elisabetta! I just found your channel a few weeks ago, and am really enjoying your videos. My mother's name was Elisabet, so of course I think it's a lovely name! To answer your question about the Daniel Smith brand anyways, it's the same here. Every product I'm aware of - food, cleaning products, etc - all follow the pattern of listing the ingredients in descending order.
    I'm a fool for lavender also! My favorite brand turns out to be the cheapest, Van Gogh. White Nights makes a lavender similar to the Michael Harding, but I won't buy them right now.

    • @WatercolorElisabetta
      @WatercolorElisabetta  Год назад +1

      Incredible! Do you know that my mother was in doubt between Elisabetta and Caterina for me (which sounds lovely in Italian too). So we both have lovely names! You confirm my thinking about ingredients' order being descending, which is a good information, thank you!
      I completely share your feelings about White Nights, which was my go to palette before the war: it's a shame because they have wonderful paint at a very reasonable price, but I just can't touch them. Van Gogh Lavender is really nice I was surprised!
      Thanks a lot for your informative and very kind comment Katherine! Take care, Elisabetta

    Hello to you Elisabetta and your furry baby.😊 I finally bought a Van Gogh lavender that I love, but before that I was mixing up my own periwinkle, lavender, and other pastel shades in half pans. It was a fun little project that cost much less to make than to buy in tubes.😂 All your mixes are beautiful. I especially enjoy lavender and greens. Maybe a PG26? The madder red and cerulean blue look great to me also I think a manganese blue mix would be beautiful as well. I hope you grab your book before it becomes wet.😢 We have been having quite a bit of rain and we're greening up quickly. Needless to say, we've had some mud, and my little Shi-Chi girls have been digging holes and eating dirt.😂 They are sooooo silly. Thanks for the comparisons. 😊

    Ciao Elisabetta.
    Hai fatto in modo che nessuno dei colori mi piacesse. La maggior parte dei colori non la definirei nemmeno lavanda, ma azzurro. E' interessante che si possa imparare qualcosa a 49 anni. 😁
    Grazie per aver guardato il cane, deve avere un carattere angelico. Ora scrivo in italiano, quindi non ci saranno problemi se il programma di traduzione funziona bene. Non ho nessuno dei tuoi colori, solo un malset economico dalla Cina per circa 20 euro, ma mi piace molto!! Non lo daro' piu', nemmeno per Daniel Schmidt. Raramente trovo la motivazione per dipingere. . . . . . . Ci sono molte ragioni. E' piu' facile guardare gli altri dipingere. Sì, è così tutto in questo mondo - anche il nostro tempo libero non è offuscato. Ma c'è ancora speranza per il paradiso, se si è cristiani. E' la mia consolazione. Poi avrò una stanza per la pittura ad olio, una per l'acquerello e una per l'acrilico. Ora devo fare tutto nel mio salotto. . . . . . . Ma la vita finisce in fretta. Lo saprai anche tu. Più invecchi, più in fretta passa il tempo.
    Ma ora ho un nuovo hobby che mi piace praticare molto spesso - lavorare all'uncinetto! Ho lavorato un sacco di fazzoletti.

    • @WatercolorElisabetta
      @WatercolorElisabetta  Год назад

      Cara Julia, il lavanda nell’acquerello è in effetti un azzurro….

      Buon divertimento! Grazie mille per il messaggio!
