That's the first time I've heard of someone mentioning crunchiness in a trigger but you're absolutely right. Thanks for the video man!

I bought the Taurus shortly after it was introduced and over time, I've come to like it less and less. Previously I've had a Browning Buckmark, a Ruger Mark 2 or 3 (can't remember anymore) 5.5'' bull barrel, a High Standard Citation from the 70's. All of the pistols owned were 100% reliable. All of the pistols had very good triggers of 1.5 -3lbs except for the Taurus which has a 4.25lb trigger that is more in line with a striker type longer trigger pull. The major differences are capacity, trigger pull, and accuracy. All of the other pistols besides the Taurus would shoot a 1-1 1/2'' 25 yard group with their preferred ammo. The Taurus with its favorite ammo will shoot a 3 1/2'' group at 25 yards. This is after I replaced the original barrel (Taurus warranty) that was full of chatter marks on the rifling with a new Taurus barrel which is smoothly finished. If you want a gun to shoot at plates from 10-15yards the Taurus is fine. However, it does not have the accuracy I want in a 22LR pistol. I wish I hadn't of bought the Taurus. This is not a knock on Taurus as I believe they designed the gun to be reasonably accurate out to 15 yards as a plinker/plate shooter/trainer pistol. I bought a Taurus Tracker 44 for my wife (we hunt in bear country) and it's a great, accurate revolver at a great price.

My Ruger 22/45 Lite ejects mags with gusto, up to 45⁰ upward. Zero issues there. The ejector at bottom of mag well works perfect.

on the ruger, the mag hangup is caused by the california magazine disconnect safety, there are various options to remove that so that they fall free. Love my mark3 22/45..

I have a Ruger Mk III , I made a few changes to it. Majestic Arms will have all the stuff you'll need. I got the mod that makes stripping it easy and the mag safety mod. which lightens the trigger some and makes the mags shot out of the when the mag release is depressed.

I had a S&W 22A. Loved it for a very inexpensive target .22lr. I did not mind the different mag release. Just replaced it with a Colt .22lr rail gun (made by Walther). Gave the S&W to the grandson along with seven mags and a red dot. The S&W has by far the easiest field strip. Just push one button to take apart everything in seconds!

I would like to see what you think about the high standard model GB 22lr. I have 1 with a 71/2inch target barrel and it is by far my favorite 22 pistol.

The best .22 out there is the beretta M9-22 15 round capacity mag and exceptionally fun to shoot, if it had a double stacked 30 round mag, I would consider it the greatest .22 ever made bar none (get to work on this Beretta).

I have the 9MM FS92 , and just change the slide between 9mm & 22LR , it is a pleasure to shoot two calibers in one pistol specially if you live in NYC ;) …

I'm looking to get my first gun. I thought 9mm was the only option for me because it's not the .38 lol and not quite a whole.45 lol but I feel like this .22 option is incredible. I didn't know I could have a small bullet with accuracy haha so what do u recommend? I want a handgun(I say for self defense, but it's defense against freaking aliens) something I can learn with and get good at

to add to the Taurus tx22, my buddy and I bought these back in the first week of June 2020. Six mags, only cleaned twice, bore swabbed maybe every 1k rounds? We shoot every week, we average 75 rounds each per week. Conservatively speaking we have over 5k rounds thru each of our pistols. I cannot tell you the last time I had lubricated the rails etc. Maybe last month. FLAWLESS shooting, ridiculously CCW accurate, amazing trigger, and fits all Glock holsters. NO MAGAZINE ISSUES FOR 17 MONTHS, @ 6 MAGS. Guys, just get at least one!

The super quick loading with the McFadden ultimate loader plus the super easy takedown and cleaning makes the ruger mk iv the best for me. The Ruger SR22 is great for training if you own a micro-compact pistol (G43, G48/43x, Hellcat, Sig P365, etc.) for ccw
Maybe you could do a review on the Ruger LCP II .22 Lite Rack with a suppressor. I don't see many videos on that

Like all equipment, it's only as good as the operator. Nothing I enjoy more than beating a guy with brand new Titleists with my 20 year old Mizuno blades. I've shot these guns and the Taurus is at the top of my list. Why? I'm not a "name" guy. I like what works at a reasonable affordable price. The Taurus has proven to be accurate, reliable, easy to work, comfortable and absolutely affordable. Also, because of its popularity, I can get lots of after market accessories.

`The S&W Victory is much better than the S&W 22A. Better trigger.. A bit heavier. Fantastic fiber optic sights. Really good price.
The Ruger Mark III and IV are no comparison. Not only does the Mark 4 have an easier take-down and reassembly, the Mark IV has got a better trigger because the mag safety is better implemented, and the loaded indicator of the Mark III does not exist either. And the magazines eject forcefully with a spring. For the most part, I tend to prefer shooting .22LR myself, especially suppressed.. But the ultimate, so far, suppressed .22LR tends to be the Beretta 21a.
The best gun in your vid is the Browning; a Mark IV would be close, but reality is that the S&W Victory is very close to the Browning; better than the Mark III, slightly better than maybe the Mark IV, but the Mark IV is easier to clean and maintain. The trigger on the Victory is almost as good as the Browning. With the low price and fiber optic sights, it's a steal of a deal, meant to target Ruger more than anything. I prefer the build quality of the Mark series, but the 22/45 lineup has a more preferable pistol grip angle. Feels like a 1911.
The only weak point of the Victory is its grip angle, and requiring a tool to take off the barrel. BTW: while I like certain aspects of almost all of my .22LR's, it's hard to pin the tag of favorite onto any one of them; for I love everyone of them for different things..
There are .22LR pistols I do plan on parting with; for I no longer really enjoy them; like the Ruger SR22 and the Walther P22. Maybe they'll find a good home on the used market.

I have the Mark IV and S&W Victory. The ability to easily take them apart to clean is well worth the cost of the upgrade. I like the Victory slightly better because of its threaded barrel.

I have a Ruger mk2 and a Colt Woodsman. The Woodsman is a fantastic shooter (as is the Ruger with a few upgrades) but it is very pricey. Also a massive PIA to take apart. If you ever want to frustrate yourself, disassemble and reassemble a Woodsman 🤣

Its funny. I shot 22 today and now I can smell and taste while you're shooting. It's psychosomatic I'm know but just happened. I was shooting a 10-22 today and have been having the itch for a bolt rifle. I was thinking of the Ruger American though I think Savage has cheaper and maybe slightly better options BUT the American would use all the 10/22 mags that I have, 10, 25 and HC3R setup. Would the 10/22-American setup be the way to go OR is there a different bolt action 22 that is just so much better that I should go to that and buy extra mags for that. (guess I wasn't thinking about tube fed and really, do you need multiple 25 round magazines for bolt fed anyways?)

Good man ED. Your a G.E.N.T. and dead nuts correct. The tx 22 is my far. Under say. 800 bucks minimum. Simple the best. Point blank. And to boot. 20 uppercuts , ect. Ballgame. Just dont come in the Remington 1100 with double is a nightmare at the morgue. Yes these are harsh realities... shit happens but o never me. That attitude sends one to sleep. No second changed. If stragglers still going in froggy. I would say prayers, but i can call pure evil even a facsimile of a fucking human being
