    Axl Eclipse, Ferro concepts bison and now the new GBRS belt made by LBT, all using Tegris...looks like the future of battle belts!

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  3 года назад +3

      From a weight to strength standpoint, it's a bit baffling in the difference. It's literally 2 to 3x as strong and half the weight.

      @@ThinLineDefenseCo question will be, is it worth the additional cost? For the professional user I say definitely, but the average American doesn't even do fitness/exercises 2x a week or train at the range once a month...I've used my two Ronin belts regularly for 5+yrs, if they ever break I'll probably replace with a Tegris type belt

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  3 года назад +3

      Yea I agree there. If you already have one, there isn't a huge advantage. But the new tegris stuff is actually cheaper too. I could do the eclipse setup for half the cost of the Ronin.

    You need to Loc-Tite all those nuts and bolts. I recommend Loc-Tite 222 “Purple” due to the size of the threads. Last thing you want is a belt that has a critical failure to the bolts holding the buckle on.

    Looking to replace my belt and seems like i love the AXL eclipse, the pistol mag pouches seems legit and from watching your video on it twice made me sold on it. However im not a fan of the inner belts hate having to replace the inner belts a lot or buying a new belt worst case if needed. I was lookin at defense mechanism belt pad they offer since their belt and how its put on is similar in that sense i was wondering if that can work. I have used belt pads before amd man they reall do work, ones ive tried are the blue alpha belt pads they are thing but holds the belt in place as if you had a inner belt also makes the belt extra comfy too its like adding a memory foam pad mattress on a firm bed that's hard as a fucking rock lol.
    I jusr hope it works if it does then im completely sold. Just the fact that DM does everyrhing handmade the lead time wait is a little lengthy.
    The first spear AGB belt sleeve and the belt, it's an awesome "modern war belt" doesnt shift or moves the belt holds on your waist very nicely, just the problem i have with it is the bulk when i have everything tossed on there it wss far to bulky and a little heavy compared to the S&S precision belt and the HRT belt i have.
    I hated the HRT belt couldnt figure out how to tighten or install the G hooks and the buckle, watched the video didnt help much. The main problem i had was that the back poece of the tegris would always stick out a little bit and was hard finding the proper adjustments for it. Uts a good belt if you have the time to figure it out. I just couldn't.
    I like the AXL belt seems to be similar to the HRT belt but the buckle adjustments and installation seems to be more refined and easier to set up too, minus its meant to be used with their stuff, not a big deal for me. If yoy go proprietary make sure it works well and easy for people to do and make it better than whats on the market. Seems like that AXL has fixed their website talk to people who bought and owned it they said it shipped and delivered within a week or week and a half, the longest someone has waited was 2 weeks or so. Overall seems like they sorted their shit out. A plus with the AXL gives me the benefit of testibg and experimenting with the angled magazines

      I have a 34 inch waist so I got the medium. It definitely has a lot of room. If I was swaying on which, I'd go too small as too large would give you an insane amount of overlap and it's a pain with the inner and outer belt.

    Although this video is two years old.
    I have owned the HRT belt the Arc belt, that did not work for me at all, the buckle mounting and attaching it to your belt it was well pretty annoying. The video did help a lot but as i am trying to go for that sleek clean look that part of the video, yeah i was completely lost and just how you need an extra 2-4 braincells to get that set up, that was a no. I have used the belt and what i have noticed is that one the back of the belt has a huge openeing, it was annoying at times cause you feel like the belt is sagging down, eventhough its secured with the inner belt. After this annoyance i was dealing with i simply stoped using it. Since that it was not for me but, will say the belt was comfortable when wearing it, just hate that the belt saggs down once you have eveything loaded up. I also forget to mention that there are gaps in the back of the belt too. The belt I'm currently rocking is the S&S precision belt, before anyone asks no i wasn't under the influnce of any paid reviewer or YT guy to tell me to go and buy it, (nothing against you Walsh cause you sir have me on the fence of getting the javlin concept carrier). I bought the belt simply i know its quality gear and contracted for the Military, more so tier 1 special operations unit. Have to say it is a good belt and the price i have paid is similar to the axl belt, their customer service on the other hand it was nice for a contracted gear company. Oh and the belt came put to be way cheaper than the HRT arc belt. I have nothing against HRT this is just my problem with their belt system.
    The axl belt seems like what i have been looking for i might pick one up with the g hooks. I use the belts for airsoft and not real world use im not sure how the axl pistol pouches will fit. The pistol that im currebtly rocking is the archon type b and the magazines seems to be shorter and slimer than a glock magazine. Not sure how well those mag well fit. If thats my main concern of the pistol mag pouches i might just go with g code or the itw ones
    About the HRT belt, i understand they make extra molle slots so you can add more stuff on the belt and even have a better lock up, i bought this belt way before that. I did buy this belt and watched honest reviews not some retarded instagram influncer to tell me to buy it. Heres a few channels ive watched so far
    Tactical considerations, im subbed to him, cool dude and love his honesty, he's prior 75th ranger regiment, and now is a local LEO officer in Arizona

      Ohhhh no no no...the tegris is absolutely awesome. I will tell you I love them both though but the axl is a generational jump. They're both fantastic choices.

      Truth! I didn't dig this one because I wasn't sure if it was me or just my combination that took so long. I was also hoping they fixed the 2 month wait...but agreed.

      Back orders are only a few weeks out and the raptor Buckles can be found on Amazon with prime.
      I think only black can be back ordered though.

      @@gp9616 haha I hear you. The ones that say backorder are two weeks out but I think the "sold out" ones can't even be gotten yet.
