    That looks like a seriously sick belt. The only reason I’m not ordering one right now is because I’m waiting for the review on the HRT belt. However, it looks like this is the belt and I’m going to get. I’m a little concerned about the sleeve system on the HRT. I’m also not wild about the lack of rear hook and loop. I am really excited about this belt though. That kind of makes me glad that AXL pissed me off with all their delays last year and I canceled my order.

    If you like inner MOLLE, give Trex arms speed belt a look. it's actually the only belt I could run with my 25 inch waist size. Also, I'm sure some other viewers have pointed this out, but the purpose of load rating is for the usage of D-ring. mounting cables to helo have quick disconnect, so they don't rely on the cobra buckle to be able to break away.

    My mech belt came in the mail yesterday, did some hardcore larping today, it is the lightest, most rigid, most comfortable belt I have ever run, doesn’t just look great but feels great, blew me away and surpassed all my expectations for a great belt. I have nothing but good things to say about defense mechanisms, great team, great products, (I own an mepc as well, also blew me away) I intend to replace most of my belt pouches with dm pouches.
    If your looking for a gun belt, the mech belt is in my opinion the best on the market
    If your looking for a slim lightweight carrier, mepc is awesome (for carrying a shit tone of gear, side plates and more shit than most of us larpers will ever need I can’t say anything about it’s load bearing capacity, for that I’d do the velocity systems scarab or crye spc, Agilite k19 also has an a cult following but I’ve never used one so I can’t recommend it)
    Thank you defense mechanism for being great people and making great gear!

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  Год назад +4

      ehh I'll disagree. It works even better for legacy MOLLE pouches that the "hang it off the side" type

      @@ThinLineDefenseCo a lot of my kydex pouches that use molle and then the eleven 10 malice clip system don’t work in this sort of belt. yea the small difference is this one is good. Lol I haven't tried the T-rex one but the DM is 30 bucks cheaper. That's a good enough reason for me (and we have a discount code!!)

      Yeah, it's not really MOLLE that you have to weave. Just can have the attachments slide through.

      And as Ike said, the tegris serves no point. With the cuts all over the integrity is shot and doesn't actually do anything.
      it's just for show instead of function but the tegris belts are far far superior to the other styles.... if they're done right

      I have one Blue alpha few weeks ago. The whole belt system is very storge. However, their inner belt is little stiff. If you're a bigger guy maybe your stomach is pressing up your waist caused a "ring" overlap. That is only thing bother me for now.

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo

      I heard they were playing with curv. Curv doesn't have the memory issues that tegris does so it won't retain some weird shape. Overall curv is a better product.

    After about 2 months of research, Kore, GBRS, AXL, Blue Alpha, G Code, T Rex, HRT ARC, I FINALLY pulled the trigger on the Mech Defense Belt in Black multi cam. Every other belt fell short in one area or another. The Tegris fully wrapped inner, the 2 layer Tegris fully wrapped and full Velcro hook outer belt beat the other belts for design, weight, and strength. Your discount code on top of everything else was an extra added bonus. I did order the med pouch, and several other pouches but I love the look of the G Code pistol/rifle mags so I hope they fit the Mech belt. I'll do a follow up review once I receive my belt and set everything up. Thank you again for the detailed review and the discount.

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  4 месяца назад +1

      That would be insanely tough. They're both great...I find I prefer the DM Mech but then I find myself missing the magnets. I use them both back and forth so you really can't go wrong with either. I'd say if you wear a lot of kit, the Agilite magnets may be more useful. Just for regular range belt that you can throw in a car? DM may be more useful.
      Both are just fantastic though!

    The belt overlaps on one side of the buckle, wouldnt this mean that you couldnt run any gear in that spot?

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  Год назад +1

      Nope, good question though. It still has the molle underneath and that area performs the same as the opposing side. I should have shown it but I did test that. The gloves are actually hooked in the same way molle would be.
      It would be easier to show you....but yes, gear can go there as it goes on the outside portion.

      DM makes a belt pad that covers the "hook" on the inside of the outer belt so it can be used alone like the TRex Orion belt.
