holy crap, I just made them and they are DELICIOUS. they aren't even that much work and by starting the potatoes, you can crank out the whole batch in about an hour.
@@DanielHarrisCodes I haven't frozen any, though I put a few in the fridge over night and microwaved them at work the next day. You lose a bit of the crisp from the tortilla, but other than that, still absolutely delicious
Can you explain where you get these macro numbers from? For 15 whole eggs, & that many potatoes and tortillas, 21g fat and 22g carbs seems way too low; and even with all the eggs and beef, 59g protein *per burrito* seems absurdly high. Am I missing something? I don't see 590g total protein in the ingredients here.
@@Polyatomic 90g from eggs, 312g from the meat, and 12g for the cottage cheese. I’m not really familiar with nutrition so I’m not sure where the other 170g is from. Could you be more specific with the macros per item as well as listing brands, how lean the beef is etc because when I’m plugging this in I’m getting 470 calories and 46 grams of protein per serving which changes wildly based on different beef. Is it 95/5? 97/3? Even different brands are showing different macros for the same leanness of beef. At least a more in depth comment underneath the video would be fantastic
I always leave the brands in the description of the videos, all the brands for every ingredient are listed there 🙏🏼 in Australia the main grocery store we have is Woolworths and their Heart Smart Extra Lean Beef Mince has 30g of protein per 150g (which was used per burrito) & the wraps used were Simsons Pantry Low Carb Large Protein Wraps (with 14g protein each wrap) I’ve also left a bunch of additional information, details & notes about the type of potato I used for example in the description too. If you have any other questions let me know I’ll be more than happy to help & answer 🙏🏼☺️
@@_aussiefitnessEven then it only comes out to about 48 grams of protein per burrito. Your recipes are awesome and look delicious but you keep on ramping up the numbers. It’s pointless to lie about it. This is a common theme through your videos for example this biscoff cookies you said 24 grams of protein per cookie when in reality it’s more like 12. There’s no point in lying to make your recipes look better they are already great keep doing what your doing but try and improve on those calculations.
I helped make these with some college roommates back in the late 90s. We wrapped them with plastic wrap first, then the foil. I gotta do that again. I made my own sausage, egg n cheese English muffins by the dozen to freeze for my son's breakfast for several years.
Add riced cauliflower or regular rice, beans, and sauteed/roasted veggies like bell peppers & zucchini. Butternut squash is a nice, slightly sweet alternative for potatoes too.

I think a bunch of it is from the cottage cheese.
The cottage cheese, it has a lot of protein.
100g of cottage cheese does not have even nearly that much protein

cool idea w the cottage cheese :)
Ooh i need to make these for these hungry guys in my house!!!
I am making these amazing!
How do you heat it back up after being in the freezer for weeks?
Thaw it overnight in the fridge, then toss it in a pan until browned. Some also recommend microwaving it for a minute after thawing.
Could also just bake on an oven tray or reheat in microwave :)
Keep a couple in the fridge and pull one out of the freezer after you grab one. It keeps you from overeating and it makes them last
Amazing! Will always make this now!!!
Recipe is amazing and I really appreciate a cook who knows that eggs are meant to be seasoned after they are cooked. Good job.

If you use ANY potato that was boiled and cooled down already, the carb load is reduced quite noticably (for insulin spike) as well. Hope that helps!
