You know dude, for those human beings out there that can’t see that love and support works more for people and especially children than violence and abuse, those are the people who truly need to be in power and in charge of this world. Because they’d do anything and everything they can for other people. They’d curb human suffering and work for the benefit of the people and not for the profit. Ya know, that’s kinda funny because that 100% describes The Minutemen Faction from Fallout 4 and I just played that like 20 minutes ago lol. But seriously, the future needs to be run by love, courage, respect and dignity. All of that needs to be earned through hard work and sacrifice. All of that needs to be paid to those souls who remain broken, hurt and lost. There are too many people in modern-day America that fit that description of broken, hurt and lost. I should know, I’m one of them. I think the best we can do is follow in the footsteps of men like that drill sergeant. To sacrifice oneself for the betterment of others, to protect and to help heal the wounds others have created. To show no fear and to show no mercy to the merciless, to show immense love and support to those who remain in the darkness of despair. If we CAN’T do that… Well, we reap what we sow. And while we’re trying to sow love and hope in our society in inches nowadays, we have miles of despair and hate sown right now that were sown very recently by very, very bad people. That’s why we’re in darkness. We’d rather die here in the darkness than love this country for the pain it’s caused us. But if we continue to sow trust and love, make it crystal clear that haters have no future in this country, focus on love and respect and dignity for all human beings, perhaps we will see a better future. I'm the exact same way. As a father myself now, videos like this make me realize and reflect on how important I am to my boys. Not only now but for the rest of their lives.
It's hard to watch ,definitely....in the time it take the boy to say he has no daddy, you can see all the pain and sorrow in his face, and the reason why maybe he'd been acting up....wonder how he is today...hopefully he's doing well for himself
Crap! I've seen this thing about 10 different times and that kid's crackling voice and the drill instructor's reaction reduce me to tears every time. Makes me want to hop in a time machine and give that kid a hug.
I'll bet you $100 dollars that Sargent has kids, the emotional response that triggered when that kid said "I have no daddy" made him leave the stage. It wasn't a show any more, it was a little kid, just like his own. I don't know for sure, but I bet you that is true.
I have such mixed emotions about this clip. Part of me is happy that the "drill instructor" reacts the way he did but there's another part of me disgusted that this poor little boy was brought on national tv to be yelled at by some guy that doesn't know him or what he's going through because his mom doesn't know how to be a good parent and he doesn't have a role model to show him how to be a good man. I love how the kid is automatically blamed, like it makes sense to hold a child responsible for knowing how to behave without teaching him. Troubled kids aren't born, they're made.
@@artfernandez7127 That’s not even true. Some people are born with sever mental disorders that lead them to do bad shit, even when the parents do their best to provide a great life for the child.
0:24 😢😢😢 this is why many of these babies act out. They’re searching for love. Black, white, latino, Asian, Italian, Irish, etc. These babies need love.
I feel for this kid. You can tell he really wants a male figure in his life which he can call daddy and look up to. Bless him. I hope they both find that man they need in their life.
I remember this episode, the kids mother was working 12+ hours a day, he never knew his dad, and was home after school every day. The shows producers and these soldiers helped both of them get supervision and mentoring for him. Sometimes correction means compassion.
I remember watching this the day it aired and wept on the spot. A few months later they posted an update with Rude Jude. He was riding bikes with the boy who said he was doing better. I hope we find out his whereabouts soon. THis moment was a teaching lesson no one took advantage of. Most of these kids just need people in their lives who care about them.
I think what’s painful is when he responds we have no idea as an audience that this boy is suffering internally, we see his response as innocent or even maybe he is not taking it seriously, but he genuinely was for real when he said that… and that’s what hurts.
Some things are better left unsaid. Very deep and emotional, thank you son. You may have no daddy right now, but you will definitely gonna make the best daddy ever.
The mother’s face is what is heartbreaking for me. Not sure if maybe some bad choices were made or his dad is no longer alive but it shows how important it is to have support raising children
Breaks my heart:'( and to think, there are women out here with children and the father wants to be in their lives and she keeps him away from the children. We have to do better, our children are suffering!

Agreed, it isn't always easy. But I am convinced if the parent's attention was on the nurturing and well-being of their children, regardless of their issues with each other, it would be a lot easier. Sadly, people get caught up in their own drama, children be damned. This little boy saying "I have no daddy" was heart breaking. I hope his wish for a dad comes true.
Leasa Fortune I want to know that the mother hugs her son and praises him when he is good. It all comes back onto the parents. Those little children are kids for a small amount of time and that is the nurturing stage.. They need support. I am so saddened by this. I want to adopt that little boy. He will get loads of love he won't know what to do with it.
From Jenny Jones' blog on Nov. 23, 2013: "Regarding the “SADDEST BOY EVER” video, I’m sorry to say I have not been able to locate him. I’ve looked at whatever show records I have and cannot find that exact show or any names, and the boy did not go to boot camp since he was too young. I have put out word at every opportunity that if anyone recognizes this family from the video to please contact me through this website, on my facebook page, or my youtube channel. So far no one has claimed to know them or to be them. I, too, would love to know how this little boy is doing today (he would be an adult by now). I do hear from quite a few former guests with updates on their lives but never this family. I’m aware that the video has been seen by millions of people but there is nothing else I can do to find him. I’m still hoping someone will recognize him or his mother and contact me. I would be thrilled if that happens and will certainly share the information if it ever comes."
Man, I come back to see this just to be grateful that I grew up with my dad. Man! I wish I could see where lil buddy ended up, cuz that performance would have me tryna adopt him.
those 4 small words by that amazing little man speaks volumes and says so so much and gives light into the sadness and longingness of a void, never to be filled. It's one of the saddest things i've ever seen and breaks my heart every time a watch it.
This is very touching. Alot of kids nowadays don't have a father. They are either in jail or on the run. Kudos to the real dads and stepdads out there.
What a great guy! Taking him out of there, away from cameras. That wasn’t a moment for reality TV. That was a raw, real and heart wrenching moment. Chopping onions over here 😭
This one is a tear jerker for most, I'm sure. For some of us, who are step-dads or adopted or just the ones who have been the father figure, it's especially poignant. Matthew Byrd could relate, I'm sure. Thanks Harold Conner for sharing this with us on FB.
I sure hope this kid is living a good life today. When he said "I have no daddy." it literally shredded my heart into pieces, and it bothers me that kids do lash out because of a lack of a father figure in their life. It's not his fault. Seriously though, I bet that Drill-Sergeant in his mind was thinking "Well damn..." ;(
I grew up with a father that never talked to me that often. He always silenced me and never taught me anything. Now he wants to be buddy buddy with me and pretend my childhood didn't suck ass.
Robert Stenowicz It's never too late to make up for lost time... maybe he wants to be the father he should have been to you. If you don't give him a chance you may regret it someday. Do what you feel is right. Good luck to you.
I'm a grown man who can watch this 100 times and cry every time. I remember a child psychologist telling me that children aren't bad, they are misunderstood. This is a great example. ❤
This was so heart touching, just hearing the little boy say "I have no daddy" absolutely torn my heart to pieces. When the Sargent showed compassion and caring for the child broke my heart even more. You don't find enough guys or men out the world like this anymore. I cried and cried, and it still makes me upset just to see or visualize what that little boy has went through.
Seriously I feel like my life won't be complete if I don't know the "Where are they now?" question!! Ppl need to track down this kid and make sure he had a daddy mmkay???!
I've seen this so many times, and I don't care how many times I find it somewhere on the internet, it will always hit me right in the feels. That guy really had no idea how to react to that.
its so perfect because its an actual moment, you cant script that. the kid says yes and makes us laugh a lot because of his answer and the drill inspectors response and then bam that kid grabbed you by the heart when he gave that answer to why he wants him to be his daddy and you can really hear the emotion in that kids voice.

Damn, that hit me right in the heart!

That Kid was Genuine...you could tell by his Voice cracking...
Yeah man. He was trying to hold that back. Tough little guy .
All that pain hidden Held up by such a tiny frame.

Wow...indeed
Poor kid. I hope he is doing better now wherever he is. God bless him.
Love the way he immediately started taking care of him. Father material. ❤️😿♥️😿
I grew up without a dad and so did a lot of people I know. Didn't really bother me till I was an adult. Now that I have a son, I have a different perspective and it affects me a lot more. This almost made me cry like a little beeitch right at my desk at work lol.
Bless you 🥺🥺
I'm the exact same way. As a father myself now, videos like this make me realize and reflect on how important I am to my boys. Not only now but for the rest of their lives.
@@nicholusbaker2830 self reflection is a great thing, best wishes and blessings to you and your boys ❤️
Much love fellow fathers
It's hard to watch ,definitely....in the time it take the boy to say he has no daddy, you can see all the pain and sorrow in his face, and the reason why maybe he'd been acting up....wonder how he is today...hopefully he's doing well for himself
Crap! I've seen this thing about 10 different times and that kid's crackling voice and the drill instructor's reaction reduce me to tears every time. Makes me want to hop in a time machine and give that kid a hug.
Man I cried like a baby. You can even hear the drill instructor choking up at around the 0:33 mark. Heartbreaking stuff.
I even heard the boy's voice choke a bit when he said he has no daddy.
I can’t lie to y’all literally searched this video just to cry
Agree...no delinquent kids only delinquent parents!
She probably doesn’t know any better
@@artfernandez7127
That’s not even true. Some people are born with sever mental disorders that lead them to do bad shit, even when the parents do their best to provide a great life for the child.
Lighten up Francis; the fact that she agreed to be on the show may indicate she's at the end of her rope.
@@Deltadawg660 nonsense. You don’t destroy your kids privacy to be a good mom, go to something else
Harrowing. All it takes sometimes is for a father figure to be there. So many young broken people. Young broken families. Passing on broken knowledge.
Not getting any better with all the women around purposefully becoming single mothers...
This makes me cry every time. There is no way this is fake because you can hear the tears and sadness in his voice.
I remember this episode, the kids mother was working 12+ hours a day, he never knew his dad, and was home after school every day. The shows producers and these soldiers helped both of them get supervision and mentoring for him. Sometimes correction means compassion.
I grew up watching Jenny Jones and I will never forget that one show amongst others eager to see the documentary .
👍
I remember watching this the day it aired and wept on the spot. A few months later they posted an update with Rude Jude. He was riding bikes with the boy who said he was doing better. I hope we find out his whereabouts soon. THis moment was a teaching lesson no one took advantage of. Most of these kids just need people in their lives who care about them.
God damn., 360 no scope feel shot.

GoonOnFire Shut yo sensitive ass up
Nvm I just cried
My father died when I was 10. This video makes me cry every time I see it.
I think what’s painful is when he responds we have no idea as an audience that this boy is suffering internally, we see his response as innocent or even maybe he is not taking it seriously, but he genuinely was for real when he said that… and that’s what hurts.
What is this liquid trickling down my face?
is it colorless and salty? It's on me too!

Drill instructor was caught off guard. That was so precious. I pray that child has a blessed life.
This young boy should remind us that ALL children need a mommy and a daddy. A lot of adults cant seem to understand that or have forgotten it.
You are so right.
Breaks my heart:'( and to think, there are women out here with children and the father wants to be in their lives and she keeps him away from the children. We have to do better, our children are suffering!
That is the most sensible comment I have seen on this entire thread!
*scoffs* No Kiddin! How Can The Mother,WHO CLAIMS to LOVE her KID Do THAT to her CHILD? How can she LOOK in the MIRROR and say She`s a MOM?
You have the best comment I've seen today. My brothers ex literally won't allow him to see his hold and then calls him a piece of shit, all the whole he's paying child support.
There are mothers out there, desperately wanting fathers to stay in their children's lives even though their relationship can't work any more.
@@dunnk90 my mom did that. She got back together with my dad because she didn't want my sister and I growing up without a dad. She left him when I was 9 but now their neighbors
I know all too well how this feels.
I'd be that little boys father, just so he wouldn't feel one more ounce of sadness.
Wish there were more ppl like you out there...
Couldn't of said that better myself.
I'd be his older bro, less stress same principles.
There's no stress when you're bringing happiness to a child just for being in his life.
Good, now you can only see him 4 days a month and you now have to cough up 1/2 your pay in child support. Welcome to father hood in America.
Not many things have ever made me cry, but this is crushing. Every dad should see this video, keep it inside, and use it as a reminder to be the best man you can be.
This video made me feel something warm moving inside my ribcage, i think i will visit a medic just in case.
Worms.
The most heartfelt video I have watched. The sincerity in the boys' voice has been on my mind all day. Thank God I was given a 2nd chance with life to be here for my kids.
Kept it up:) we love you with all our hearts and soul. Seriously, keep it up!
I hate this shit, mom brings her "bad" kid on the show realizing he needs a dad and is only acting out for that reason, she tries to remove responsibility from herself and its sick
So true... It's a sad world...
You are so right!! And it breaks my heart
L' Aristocat yup i had a dad but he did crack and harowin right in front of me and my brothers i know what ye is going through
The Dad left and she didn't..She struggling with her son because he doesn't understand why his Dad walked out on him ..He left his kid talk about that
This video kills me. I am a single mom right now. My son is due next week. The hardest part about running away from my abuser was knowing that I am taking away my baby’s daddy. I stayed as long as I did with him in hopes that he will change a be a decent father for baby. Sadly, he got worser and worser until I realized that no daddy was better than a bad one. 😢
you did the right thing. Don't feel guilty
Doing the right thing. My brother and I both came from a single mother home. Both Marines with college degree... family of our own and loving life. Trust me... a strong woman is all your baby needs. 👍
HAPPY 3 MONTH OLD BABY I HOPE!!! 🎉🎉 i will not pretend to understand not havin the parent of my kid but i will tell you this. it's hard to find but there's so many "someone's" that will FILL that void in your life. Give him a home. My big brother calls my dad his dad cuz he raised em. Hope you can find the same from the bottom of my heart
Nah trust me my mom left my crazy dad when I was 4 and let me tell you it was so much more peaceful for my brother and I YOU DID THE RIGHT THING for you and your kids you are a GREAT mom for that not a bad one. My mom did amazing raising us to be good people and you will too!
As a father of a 2 yr old little girl. I hope you find someone that will accept you and your little one and love you both with unconditionally!Just remember even though it didn't work out with your ex; doesn't mean there isn't someone else who will accept you and your baby. Every kid deserves a parent; not every parent deserves a kid.
"You gotta Keep ya head up" -Tupac Shakur
this is VERY true...when you want/miss/need a dad in your life you act out...and as a kid most times you wont even fully know why...my bio dad didn't want to be around...his family DIDNT like me cause I was too light and he was more concerned with the streets and women/cars...but I thank GOD my MORE THAN BIRTH DAD came along when I was 9...he was all the dad and more I could ever need, he died in 2002...and I have a somewhat relationship with my bio dad now...but he can never replace my daddy...NEVER...rip John Rhinehart
Anyone who forgot to bring a condom can be a parent. Someone doesnt have to be blood to be a real Dad (or mom). RIP to the real man who raised you.
Oh...man...I know this for a FACT...more than you could ever really know...and thanks dude
Very true...i raise my sons on my own...their mom sbows up and gets them evey once and a while but they live with me...my mom wasnt there either..and when she was she was drunk or fighting me..i cried many times bro...thinking death had to be better than life...but i realized YEARS later that things happen to make you stronger...so i have a soft spot.for kids...its awsome that your sister and family stepped in...and you are right. ..moms are just as important...but sometimes it would be easier if theyd run off too! Lol...i can smile and laugh about it now..even tho it still nuges me sometimes. ..but i forgive them..GOD wouldnt want me to do otherwise and id want somone i hurt to do the same for me...i hope lifes better for you and all the kids/people like you bro...and smile man...you overcame...where soo many would've fallen
Please love your children and let them have two parents. Stop fighting and think of the kids needs over your own. This was so touching.
its not always this easy
TheNativeMami No it's not always that easy. Except sometimes it is!
Well geez....that escalated quickly and hit me right in the heart.
And it was in that moment they realized that baby just needed a father figure. So so heart breaking.
You know that kid's words struck into everyone's hearts
I hope that kid is doing great nowadays
Man, I come back to see this just to be grateful that I grew up with my dad. Man! I wish I could see where lil buddy ended up, cuz that performance would have me tryna adopt him.
Damn onions cutting ninjs again.. :(
damn they got you too!
Heather Gabriel right in the feels..
lol bitch
those 4 small words by that amazing little man speaks volumes and says so so much and gives light into the sadness and longingness of a void, never to be filled.
It's one of the saddest things i've ever seen and breaks my heart every time a watch it.
The way he nuzzled him with this neck makes me cry! ! That man knew exactly what to do for this baby boy!
I still cry watching this after all this time.
Oh man, I remember this one. Still makes a grown man cry.
This is very touching. Alot of kids nowadays don't have a father. They are either in jail or on the run. Kudos to the real dads and stepdads out there.
And the DI cried and walked off stage, just as he should have. I hope they stayed together.
the mans reaction,,,,like ,,,,"awe man,,,,what do i do now?" lol. loved that he gave the child a hug and took him in the back for a talk.
The way he immediately took the kid off set was amazing
real men stick around and raise kids
What a great guy! Taking him out of there, away from cameras. That wasn’t a moment for reality TV. That was a raw, real and heart wrenching moment. Chopping onions over here 😭
This video gets me every time. I will be referencing it in my Father's Day sermon this year.
This one is a tear jerker for most, I'm sure. For some of us, who are step-dads or adopted or just the ones who have been the father figure, it's especially poignant. Matthew Byrd could relate, I'm sure. Thanks Harold Conner for sharing this with us on FB.
Great job kid. Would love to see whatever happened to this get and whether he got re daddy he deserved, wanted, needed.
***** Ditto.
*****, to whom are you speaking when you say, _"give him some damn credit... JEEZ..."?_
Kevin Shutt That comment makes no sense, unless BLF was replying to a comment somewhere else on the thread...
That's what I was thinking. Just hoping nobody misinterpreted my OP.
Aww, that's sad.
Are you the real fvgtv I like your videos
What the hell is this channel? It looks like shit
@@faridperalta2340 what is wrong with your mind?

I cried for this boy! God I hope his life turned out blessed and the man stayed in touch! 😢😢😢❤
am I the only one who almost teared up?
no
I want to know what became of it.
Not at all!
almost?
Almost? I used half a box of tissues.
I've lost count of how many times I've watched this and it still chokes me up
I sure hope this kid is living a good life today. When he said "I have no daddy." it literally shredded my heart into pieces, and it bothers me that kids do lash out because of a lack of a father figure in their life. It's not his fault.
Seriously though, I bet that Drill-Sergeant in his mind was thinking "Well damn..."
;(
God i hope this guy is living life to the fullest and making an impact in the world.
Bless his little heart, and that drill instructor certainly is a good man.
The drill instructor is a DAD and you could tell that immediately!!! Big props to that man.
This clip will always make me cry for my father abandoned me and now I am experiencing the consequences of having an absentee father at 25.
I'm 25, and I know exactly what you're talking about, it's so hard I know.
+Nicole Marie Lol, I'll pass.
crowd chant; oooooohhhhh!!! daaaaamn!!!!
A father figure is way more important to a boy than a mother figure
yea screw the mother
C3- PO lol you guys are both so stupid ^ 😂
I personally think both are equally important
I had neither, and little food!
The father relates more to a boy so yeah they are more important and more like an older protecting best friend for life
This was so heart touching, just hearing the little boy say "I have no daddy" absolutely torn my heart to pieces.
No, they want to make sure he didn't have a daddy... or else.
Beautiful. He got tripped up right in the middle of the”you DO?”
Ohhhh maaan I remember this episode. Still hits u deep in the soul.
This was one of the most beautiful moments I ever witnessed on RUclips
This is what being a man is. Proud of this guy
