My father was a Navy SeaBee for 21 years traveling all over the world including 3 tours in Vietnam. I remember saying goodbye to him so many times and fortunately for us every goodbye included a welcome home. Many people will never understand the stress and anxiety military spouses and family members go through. Bless all those who have served and the families that supported them.
As someone who has served and that has just watched his son walk away with the recruiter that last time....... I agree. In some ways watching my son walk away was harder than anything I ever did in the Military.
Let's take a moment to remember that for some families it's not their loved one who shows up on their doorstep in uniform, and their tears aren't happy ones.
To all soldiers, please know that you are loved and respected by this American. I can't begin to know what it was like on the battlefield much less to come home and make your way back with physical and or emotional trauma. Keep the faith, you are worth your weight in gold. Thank you dear patriot.
A true warrior will fight till their last breath in order to protect those they love. God Bless every single soldier who served with honor and bravery in their hearts.
Love how the Marine gently rocked his Momma. Super sweet.🥰 I love military reunions.🥲 Edit: Isabella broke me.😭 Edit: The lawnmower Dad choked me good.🥹
What looked like the two sisters around 7:15 one as a teacher the other as a soldier seemed like beautiful symbolism. Both serving their country and improving the world in totally different yet indescribably important ways. Beautiful ❤
I have to add..... If you dont return home, Its the people you leave behind that have to pay the price. The families of these hero's deserve just as much respect.
My friend Chelsea has just returned home after serving 12 years in the United States Air Force she was deported Jordan and now she's home she got off that plane we both hugged we cried and I am so proud of her I'm glad she's home cuz I missed her so damn much and I'm so proud of her and I care about her I'm glad she's home and I'm never ever going to let her go

Me little brother just came home from deployment in South Korea. His home base is FT. Carson CO. I drove a nonstop trip from Tennessee to Colorado and then back to TN in 2 days to surprise my mother for Mother’s Day. She fell to the ground when he popped out around the corner. I’ll never forget that moment. Thanks to any person that has or is serving our country.
I did 22 years and came home from many deployments to a lonely walk to the barracks and a cold room. That changed after I married my wife. I will never forget when I would off board that C130 and see her beautiful face. Life has so many great things.
During my deployments the hardest thing I had to do wasn’t military related but leaving my family who I lived with all my heart! Congratulations all & Welcome Home!
My brother deployed in 09-10, i dont even remember him coming home but i remember everyday he was away. It was hard, especially on my mother. This is back when they used to do casuality reports. Even back then it felt like no one gave a shit. I pray he never deploys again, all the while knowing that is all he wants.
You asked "What's it like to have parents that care about you?" I don't know. I work so damn hard to make sure my kids know tho. And I live vicariously through the people I see in these type of videos.
You don't know whether you will get the knock on the door, Or, them home safe in your arms. Thank you to those who serve/served and the families that are waiting for you at home.
If you enjoy your freedom thank our military personnel because they pay a large price. Thank you soldiers and your families for all you do to let us enjoy our freedoms. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It hurts me so much,, just in 2 weeks back... our Ugandan soldiers deployed in somalia,, we're attacked in their camp n almost 20 passed on... And the worst part, is ,they wea burnt to ashes ...so their families never saw even their bodies but ashes. May God protect all those heroes and bless them who are in service and grant peaceful eternity to all the fallen soldiers worldwide.
I was named after my grandfather and he served in WW2. I wanted to join and dedicated my entire life to joining the army like he did. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 12 and they won’t take me. It was and still is the most devastating thing ever. That was the only thing I knew what to do with myself. And still sorta is. I can’t even go into law enforcement or anything similar. Seeing this is amazing though. Hope everyone stays safe.

*“Unfortunately, not everyone can return home” hit hard man :/*
And unfortunately even those that return don’t always return while either physically or mentally.
Really hard😢
Right it does hit hard
Everyone can return home, it will just be a different home. We all end up in the same place in the end. Just some quicker then others.
