Neat video but can't help to feel a bit disappointed to not highlight Max Joseph!! He edited this "Make it Count" video. As an editor myself I want to make sure Max gets his shine :')
I agree with this sentiment.
EXACTLY. Amidst the casey circle jerk they really overlooked this huge factor.
Yesh true
_Speaking of_ Max Joseph..: ruclips.net/video/UAIPBOEd1U0/видео.html
You missed three things
1. Edited by Max Joseph.
2. Watch the original song's (not the remix casey used), music video. It inspired the running idea. It didn't come out of nowhere.
3. and casey didn't plan it all out as he mentioned in an interview that he was wearing Patagonia outfits throughout and so in the opening and closing scene Nike made him wear the shoes with the big swoosh.
Thanks for the video :D

11:20 Casey slips, next frame = "mind your step". Genius Max Joseph editing.
this was a Max Joseph edit. Respect to Max being able to take all of this footage and create this story!

Props to Max Joseph on that editing

Wow, the Make it Count is one of my favorites videos ever! Because of that, "Make it count" was my first tattoo
Thanks for the video, Jack! It is so inspiring to see you guys analysing other creators works
I would easily watch a 40min video about this 🤟😁
This could have been longer, I would have loved more talk and in-depth discussion.
Great vid 👍
Please bring back Casey or bring on Max to talk about this process. I love all of your speculation but it would be fun to see how it tracks with reality. This is an awesome series!
MAX JOSEPH

This was great! Please (if possible) make more time to finish the entire video 😂❤️
Yes! More of these kind of reviews! So fun to see different perspectives and interpretations on videos we all have spent so much time watching!
Love the format !! ❤
Ahahahah, Needle Drop (aka. Musicians React) meets Digital Spaghetti; nice one! Would love to see more in this format 👍👍
Loved this video so much! Amazing breakdown, and amazing guests!
16:21 I assume that's Costa Concordia.
It is 👍
Yes. And there's a video on Casey's channel named "The Sunken Cruise Ship" that I think everybody should watch.
thanks Jack again! Can't wait for mooore!
Very cool seeing The Mystery Hour get a shout out on this channel.
Dead Wax for creators? I'm innnn
I came to mention Max Joseph, my fellow editors have done so.
That was a ship sinking
I want to see a video of Casey analyzing this video.
Indeed he is..
i never knew he was patreons ceo than now
This is why Casey is the 🐐
Its sad that this video would NOT go viral today.
Been loving this channel. Totally got into Gawx from this! And loved the Casey interview/breakdown one especially! This was a really great one too! Between this channel, and Colin and Samir's channel, you can really learn a lot about the nitty gritty of editing/creating, and the business behind it all.
Oh, also, Jack (and spaghetti crew probably lol) I made my first Video Essay, it's about Fargo Season 5, and the use the supernatural in Coen Brother films: ruclips.net/video/cuVjcH_iZYE/видео.html
I would love to have you take a look at it and leave me your thoughts? 🙏🤞
Please don't implement artificial time constraints on a video like this. If you guys didn't have time to film it i guess i understand, but this just comes off as forced edginess.
I like this!
Me too
It's interesting how no one notices how early on in "youtube" this was. I don't think "youtube" was viable as an earning model yet. It was not a "sponsored" post, was it not an actual commercial? And Casey didn't roll in cash yet. It IS his vibe, but not because he was rich at the time 🙂
Still, always a good time to review a classic!
4:05 did you say 2013 knowing that I would comment about it or was it a mistake? Eh doesn’t matter, it worked.
he put it twice too 😂😂
I am here only for Casey name
Echoing the Max Joseph sentiments. Go watch ‘follow the frog’ then come back.
I love this breakdown series, but I keep thinking why does everyone have on a headset mic with big black headphones? It's not like there's a director in you ear and it makes everyone look so geeky. Maybe that's the idea? Is this meant to be funny?
There's a couple reasons we've switched to this approach! The most practical reason is that it allows us to isolate the sound of the video from their dialogue which makes our editing easier. But it also helps the conversation flow more naturally. When we relied on lav mics, we would have awkward periods where we'd have to adjust the mic for clothing noise or interference. This let's Jack and the guest sit down and just start talking without any interruption. Hope that clears things up! --Love, Producer John
Thanks for the clarification John. When there's 4 or 5 different ways to do something, I'm always for whatever is fastest and easiest for you. So rock on, keep these coming.@@digspaghetti
We need a part 2 to finish the video.
Love to see another digital spaghetti 😎😎😎
ah yes, the spirit of youtube is alive and well...being picked apart by a bunch of pundits second by second
Casey edits nearly all of his own videos, but you pick one that he probably had the most help editing. His friend Max had much of the influence on this video. You couldn't have picked a better video that is less of Casey's influence.

Why not analyze the full video? Feels rushed - if you’re going to break it down it only feels naturally to finish the video you’re analyzing? Love the format and the concept, hope to see a more complete version in the future
