Casey’s studio is becoming a landmark and a museum.
I bet there's a way to make some money right there if one were amenable.
the real moment of astonishment is whenever Casey and Pete collab
It’s like Henry and Bergkamp so so good and will never be repeated 👌🏻
Can't believe I watched this man's come up... For some reasons I don't get his videos recommended to me anymore
...This man's channel brings back so many memories ❤
@@troyflatland5299 And?
@@GabrielBhappypeople with no pfp are bold and random most of the time. I tend to think of them as fodder in the grand scheme.
Editing just because, but yeah his comment made no sense, like, just enjoy the video and go on about your day :)
@@troyflatland5299your last name is exactly like your comment. Flat. You tried bud. But that was awful lol
@@jokwonpope1561 glad to see all you mentally deficient folks finding love here in the comments

Watching for probably 10 years at this point, easily one of my favourite videos.
As someone who grew up in the 70s as the son of a pro photographer, it's hilarious to see these "young-uns" embracing film photography. My dad retired right as the digital transition began. I used to "assist" him with his photoshoots -- including weddings. He was in the business of photography, so he had a sharp focus on value -- he used Hassleblads and had 12 or 24 shots per roll and there was a cost per roll. And the darkroom work was serious business as well. Appreciate Peter's videos and his love of film -- it truly is the best way to capture the "decisive moment" -- because you're focused and may not have "limitless shots" at your disposal.
I love the contrast in Peter vs Casey's workspace. Peter is all about style and Casey's is lawless. The one thing in common is the organization. Both of you guys are crazy organized and everything has its place.
Peter, you’re one of the best storytellers on RUclips. Thanks for setting the bar so high. Well done. 👍
true bro
I totally agree!
You two together in a video is just fantastic, more of this please.
I did a darkroom subject for my Photography Diploma. The magic of watching a print develop in the tray and the slosh of chemical in trays! Pure magic!
And this is just the best conversation. Two of my fav photo/video creators. Talking the real low-down. So so damn good. Thank you both. What I needed.
Two hero’s together! Great collaboration, we need to see more of this happening on the platform.
One of your best videos in the last 3 years. Loved every second of it. Amazing how you keep producing great vids. ❤
Always needs to be a blend of old and new in my mind. Appreciate both.
Great collab as always!
I agree - I need to print more of my pictures!
Always great to see you both together, love ya both 🖤
Sales of Widelux cameras after this 📈📈📈
I love the reveal of the Captain shooting on the Omso 3. So cool.
This literally just sold me on the pocket 3.
Crazy stuff .. are all the vlogs shot on the osmo ?
@@ignited_productionspeter said so on Instagram, so I assume yes
@@ignited_productionsno they are not, no depth in the shots but the osmo pocket 3 is crazy easy for vlogging.
@@SethMichael Hahahaha! Same!!
I'm an events planner for large outdoor public/free arts based events (at least I was before I got sick and became disabled). And I've been chasing that moment of astonishment my whole life. It only happens every once in a while but it's the best feeling in the world and I'm fully addicted to it. I call it magic moment instead of a moment of astonishment but it's the same thing. And it does exist in so many different areas of our lives. It's really the reason that life is worth living in my books.
I finally subscribed. Peter, more of those fantastic individuals please and thank you!
Two legends in one video!!! Casey made such a good point on how everything could be wiped in an instance but Film allows you to have that physical roll. I know you can always print digital photos aswell but something about the look and feel of film makes you relive those memories in a different way. Banger videos as always Pete!!
the craziest thing about this video is that you can see how much cameras have evolved in the past 20 years, you're reviewing this old gear yet this video is shot 20x smaller DJI camera and looks 20x better!
So great to see all the analog content Peter! And I loved seeing you and Casey together.
Probably one of the coolest videos I've watched in a while. Man, I love cameras.
I so love Casey's F*cking organization in his studio. To me this is photographer, videographer's dream!
Amazing people collaborate, the camera is fire! The only way to amaze photographers these days is popping a manual masterpiece like this.
I love the photos Peter has been taking with film, and I LOVE Casey's studio and organization.
The DJI pockets footage looks good!
Just STUPID good right?!?!
@@GabrielBhappy I didn't notice it was a pocket until I saw it's reflection.
Love the idea of that camera. Thanks for sharing. And the two of you collaborating ... always great.
I loved the storytelling in this video, how Peter gave all the enough info that how he got to know about this camera instead of describing it by sitting in front of camera he showed us the actual moments and the final moment by showing the actual camera that he got....clean!
Congrats on going a year with film. Thats HUGE in today's day and age. Its always nice to see yall two together.
I've been on a similar Journey since 2019. Discovered my Dad's negatives from the 40's and It's changed how I view photography
The contrast of style is amazing ! Both of them GOATs !
everything you touch is AWESOME
You make life better . I am so happy to see this today . I honestly can’t believe how much I miss film - and days of pushing and running film twice
Thanks, this video really made me appreciate even more the magic of capture. Been looking through Photo albums this morning in search of pictures taken in the 90s. Rich, raw, and emotional.
Thank you.
Been getting "re-obsessed" with Photography lately so this upload comes at a great time 🔥
Watching two of your all time favourite creators in a single video can only leave a smile in your face! Love you guys!
I agree.
Although cameras still have a long way to become perfect capturing devices, novelty and drama are always welcome to reignite the spark.
Love seeing DJI pocket 3 show up in a video of Astonishment- that’s how I feel whenever I film vlogs with it. It gives me the same vibe as one of these beautiful analog cameras
A blast from the past! LOVE IT
So happy to see film return to popularity! It's otherworldly. Developing your own is awesome as well.
i cant say any thing but woooooow the most diffrent video ive ever seen from u man
so proud of being one little part of this great community 💚💚
This one makes me just smile! Casey n Pete in the same shoot, its like, what! My 2 greatest in same shoot, it blows me, thx u 2!
Amazed by every video Pete and the Captain make. Love the story, tone and music and think everyone can get somerhing out of it.
That advert edit and music in the video is dope
Very cool. My dad just gave me a 1967 Leicaflex SL 35mm body with a 50mm lens and 90mm lens. The feeling of creativity launches by just picking up the beast! Old is AMAZINGLY new and is one of those incredible creativity keys.
Loving these new videos Peter. Its damn great!
Incredible work as always! Original and amazing storytelling!
I've been into photograhy since my father introduced me to it when I was very young. My oldest daughter picked up the bug as well, when she was ~10 and we have so many memories of photowalks together. This year, my youngest has been asked to photograph some of her school's sports teams, and has taken out the Canon Rebel that has been collecting dust for a while now. Tomorrow we are going out to work on some basics, and have some photography fun. This channel has been something that has kept my passion for photography going for years now.
Great to see the Capt in the movie! We need more of him!
Got to admit, I've been becoming a bit disconnected from a lot of your videos, lately, due to most of them now feeling like they focus more on filmography, lifestyle, and product showcases, as opposed to primarily focusing on photography tutorials/tips/challenges/etc (no shade intended - do what you prefer, of course), like in the first years of your channel (I hesitate to use the phrase "the good ol' days", haha). Seeing this video, however, pulled me back in immediately. This is a video that I really, really enjoyed watching, and it felt like a throwback to those first few years of photography videos. I'd love to see more videos like this in the future, Pete! :) On a separate note, I absolutely NEED a Panon Widelux, after having seen what it's capable of!
For sure the best RUclips-Video if´s seen for months. Thank you Peter McKinnon.
Casey's studio is a complete madhouse and I love it. Also love this collab. You too both inspired me heavily when I had just started out.
Thank you so much, Peter, for making me fall in love with photography again!
Hearing Casey’s voice with Peters edits was triiiiipppy!!!
Casey's reasons for shoot family on film is the same as my own. Have a great time with the Widelux. I have ordered a 6x12 medium format panoramic camera from Chroma Cameras and i can't wait for that!!
I love this video. You, Casey, the excitement on your face about your new camera. and the crazy camera I have never seen before.
That was legit a tight edit Kirk! Sweet. Nicely done. Oh and Pete, love that you were in NYC hangin' with Casey and Jordan. That was a sweet Collab.
Seeing Casey in anything just makes me so darn happy
Seeing him in his own posts supporting a genocide and complaining about students peacefully protesting makes you happy? 😌
Love your videos with Casey ❤
loved this video!! thanks Pete!!
That camera is wild! Loved this video and thank you for the encouragement at the end to be looking for that moment of astonishment. Cheers!
So sick! Love this video. Always inspiring.
I love everything about this video!!
LOVE seeing Pete and Casey together!!
2 of my fav RUclips photos bloggers shooting digital video while becoming analog snobs.
This man inspired my photography hobby and I love seeing this mans insane camera work!!
So glad to see more film photography videos like these! Too bad film is getting so expensive...
WOW two of my favorite RUclipsrs in one video. awesome!
I love your vlogs. this vibe!
Always a good day when Pete drops a new vid👊
Peter and Casey make banging videos! Love it
That camera is magic. We shot them in college all the time. If you haven't played with an off body flash with a slow shutter yet....You are going to love it. Best college party, music festival or crowded XYZ place shots I've ever snapped. Enjoy. Let me know when you graduate to the Xpan.
To have the 2 creators that inspired me to pick up a camera in one video just made my day
Jordan is the best!! stoked to see him featured in this video
This was enjoyable and inspiring. Thanks Pete!
Wow 😮that’s a rare camera 📷 for sure 👏🏼 cool 😎 vibes from Casey and PM on the video too, and the captains photos.
Love these guys
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Showing two of the biggest video and photography creators on RUclips together 😮❤
great video Pete, and so cool to see you connect with Casey in NY! I headed that way for some wedding prep in May from Calgary & am going to take a play out of your book, but going to do that with the sony ZV1. It might not have the biggest sensor or specs, but I carry it with me everywhere and it pushes me to take more pics. Keep the killer vids rolling man!
is no one gonna talk about the fact they were filming this video on this tiny camera and it just looks so good?
I am. I wanna know what it is
@@ItsTOUGHtobeFascinatingDJI Osmo Pocket 3
As for shooting only film: I'll make a long story short; main points - computer was hacked a couple years ago; I copied all my photo SD cards onto an external hard drive and loaded the images back into LightRoom on a new computer. That took forever. Unfortunately, of the few thousand files, I couldn't find a couple important image files and a few others were corrupted. A few weeks ago something prompted me to scan negatives from the 1980s. I've taken good care of them. They are as pristine as they ever were. I'm about a 75 % film/25% digital shooter but now rethinking this. Think of the days when we didn't have that choice and we all survived. As for the cost of film, consider a painter who spends a lot of money for their art: good brushes, pigments and solvents, canvas, stretcher bars, easels... whatever. They spend time and money to make a painting and maybe it doesn't work; they paint over it and start over. That makes the cost of film a little less daunting.
I loved this! Fantastic story telling!
The real moment of Astonishment is when Casey Upload a video thank you
Broooo, this is a banger, great work and thanks for sharing 👏
Love how you laid out this video mixing in the photos!
this was one great video, one of my favs
Honestly it’s starting to become a trend to go back to film, my professor is getting ready to create a class for us to shoot on film cinema cameras for our video prod degree.
Pete, I don’t kniw exactly why, but in my opinion, this was easily one of the best videos of yours. And that is a big statement, as every single one of your videos is amazing!
Pete just knows how to do it, whatever “it” is Pete has it . I love watching this it quite literally blows my mind. Well done and thank you
Happy to see you guys together!
Just finished work and settling down to, 2 of my favourites here 🙂
Peter out here curing my depression whenever he drops ✨
Never stop mate ❤
Continue to seek that moment of astonishment... I love it! Making that my mantra.
I love the fact that I want to get the Osmo Pocket 3 for content creation and at the same time having mixed feelings about it and after a lot of research and videos, something seemed similar, and when the mirror shots revealed that you guys use it! now for sure im getting one. And great video to get even more excited about film or instant cameras too!
OMGGG
Love to see you both
OK, two Blue Whales of genre. LOVE you guys.
Hi, Peter. I'm thrilled to see two of my favorite content creators team up again. Truly an astonishing moment! Congratulations on the NEW camera. By the way, was this video shot on the OSMO Pocket 3?
