TX stabilizer test: Compared w/ Pretooled Cherry stabilizer

  • The TX stabilizer set is really good when it comes to tuning 2u stabilizers.
    It is by no means without rattle. The unusual material of inserts, however, makes the rattle feel fine.
    In this vein, the TX stabilizer is a little far from what I want for spacebar.
    For the spacebar, it may as well use the pretooled cherry stabilizer set or put additional mod such as holee, epsi with another stabilizer set.
    All switches in the video are Cherry MX Blacks.

    I'm actually happy about tx stabs. Finally stabs that sound like cherry lol just keep on mind everyone the cherry he showed was In a baoed but I've always used cherry stabs tx have been a nice finding for me since I do enjoy them cherry and tx are the only stabs I've used that have the pop that I look for without sounding overly thin I love clack but don't want my stabs sounding thin

      And I also usally spend a lot of time modding the spacebar. Still difficult for me.

    how bad is it if you were to use long pole stem switches on tx stabs

    • @62tology
      @62tology  2 года назад

      The left and right sides are not completely fastened at the same time so the stabilizers are staggering like seesaws.

    Why are the tx stabilizers not compatible with long pole switches? Wanted to use them with creampacas

    • @62tology
      @62tology  2 года назад

      A cream stem of a frankenstein switch makes total travel short so both sides of a keycap are not completely put in the inserts of the stabilizer. It only(not sure) appears when you use the TX stabilizers. Probably you cannot use them with creampacas.

    • @62tology
      @62tology  2 года назад

      @@PrinceNavy_ It is difficult to show the phenomenon because there is no pcb to assemble now.
      The reason is as described above. This is because the product was designed for standard switches like Cherry.

      I tried using JWK Epsilon which has a long pole stem on my spacebar and when i press the sides of the keycap it's like a seesaw. Haven't tried it on the 2u keys but i assume it'll have the same problem.

  • @James-tm6ku

    my spacebar is basically the same as u but just its steabies, idk why but the sound is higher pitched on the left and lower on the right for my spacebar stab

    • @62tology
      @62tology  Год назад

      In general, the left sound and the right sound cannot be exactly the same no matter how well tuned it is.
      However, if the difference is outstanding, the following factors might be suspected as the causes: keycap, wire, switch, plate.
      If the keycap is not flat, it should be fixed as much as possible by immersing in hot water and bending.
      The wire balancing is essential. Adjust the wire to the left and right as well as the up and down. Also it is recommended to change the wire to another wire.
      It is best to use a smooth and filmed cherry switch. If you do not have such a cherry switch, it is important to keep the switch as close to the pcb as possible when soldering. In addition, it is necessary to make sure that the hook on the switch is well hung on the plate. (Why? Please refer to ruclips.net/video/qfnhSim6Mnw/видео.html)
      The spacebar tuning is always annoying and difficult. Good luck.

    why do you say that tx stabs are not compatible with long pole stems?

    • @62tology
      @62tology  2 года назад

      As the switch travel is shortened due to the long pole stem, both sides of the keycap are not entirely assembled simultanenously.
