@@kariyui if your wires are not balance, and it’s hard to balance their wire, it will tick and it’s not fixable, I ran into that problem with my mr suit and I have to desolder the whole board just to fix it
@@scufed Isn't the whole owlstabs schtick is that they will always stay straight? And because of that, you get a bad batch of stab wires then there isn't any fixing it because it will stay in the same position pretty much for ever?
staebies are the best among the bunch . i replaced my stabs for all of the keyboard spacebars i did. and all turned out excellent. will be watching out for the new staebies zambuman releases

How have you found the C3 stabs over the Durocks V2? Currently using C3's with their band aid kit and I think they are perfection. Considering trying out Durocks V2 for a new build tho, but not yet convinced.
@@highground7782 Much prefer durock v2 over c3 stabs. C3 stabs just felt too much with the extra stab pads. They probably would sound better without the stab pads. Will probably stick to durock v2 stabs as they have been the best sounding from the handful I have tried. Hopefully I can get my hands on staebies on there next release as those seem to be the best without needing too much modding.

Staebies are very good. Super minimal rattle and tick noises. However, they are much more scratcher due to the tight tolerances, even with the 205g0 lubed around the housing.

And you'll probably want to just concentrate on the 4th and 6th columns the most as I assume you are into modding keyboards just by you having watched this video. This seems to suggest ink or staebies are the ones to go for. I personally would choose staebies due to the right tolerances

I was browsing on reddit and people mentioned that the TX stabs would get loose overtime since it isn't being held on by screws. Have you noticed this? I just purchased two sets of TX stabs rev 3 for my last two keyboards and the vertex angle and tomo and I would hate having to rebuild the boards down the road if the stabs break...
That's my only criticism; excellent comparison video, but the conclusion is really very hard to follow. A total score, a scale, and colour coding results would've been very beneficial.
Cuz C3 V3 is the only one which include holee mod material and instructions itself. Even new starters can have the holee mod installed without extra research. With that, I believe 'with holee mod' is the default condition of C3 V3. And comparing defaults is my goal. For example, OWLabs and C3 provide wire pads as well so I installed them for both but not the other three stabs. Hope that makes sense.

Why do these stabilizers require so much modification? Why can't they just be manufactured without all these problems? Seems like it would easier for the manufacturers to just alleviate stuff like rattle, scratchiness, and ticking in their designs rather than force the end users to make up for their short comings with homebrew solutions? It is all just so silly.
its not much. you just lube the housing and then paint some lube on the wire ends. takes a few minutes. Having them ship with factory lube would be kind of cool. I would probably buy it if the price was still around 20 bucks

I would say without all the accessaries C3 provides, they are pretty much at the same level. C3, however, is known for better quality control but I can't tell from the limited samples that I have. With all the accessories installed and properly tuned, I would say C3 is better and still one of the best stabs out there. Me picking staebies or TX is purely due to the laziness lol.

my Owlstabs were actually perfectly balanced out of the box and only needed to be lubed, it's pretty hit or miss
owlstabs arnt overrated imo, just need to do the anti tick mod to fix bent wires

Nylon Staebies seem really good for stock stabilizers! Gateron Ink stabilizers sound kinda gummy stock. (At least on this board)

I have tried everything other than the Staebies and honestly the TX are by far my favorite.

@@AsianAnimeRuLe you could tape the bottom so they won’t come loose I use a sheet of UHMWP tape as a tempest mod so I don’t have that issue
