I hate to bring up the negative, because I binge watch these videos & I think that what these people do is extremely brave and unique. However, am I the only one who thinks about potential car accidents? Like man, in the worst case scenario you'd normally just lose you car, but in this case you'd be out of a car & a home.
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. A car accident would really mess things up unfortunately. I think people who live in cars/buses/vans are probably pretty confident in their driving abilities anyway, and the thought has probably crossed their mind.
There's a couple that redid a camper and it ended up being totaled. So........ they're living in a giant tent!!!! Running water, electricity, and furniture. It's incredible!

I really like the bus-home and the adventures of traveling around. The interior look very comfortable but the logistics of actually living on the road in a makeshift beautiful bus seem inconvenience for me. I like my LONG hot shower, cooking without having to worry about running out of propane gas for cooking or heating water. Limited propane gas tank, limited water supply, no security door and no parking space that is big enough to fit your bus while you do your grocery shopping. Have you ever encounter anyone trying to break in to your bus while you were sleeping inside?
How do they get the money for gas and other essentials while on the road? Doing a road trip from Alaska to Argentina is logistically challenging isn't it?
well gas to Panama (there really isn't a road between Panama and Columbia (at least not an easy one) is about 7,000 miles. A bus being an ecological nightmare gets about 8 miles to the Gallon. Fuel will average say $2.40 a gallon so it would only cost about $2,100 to burn 845 gallons of fuel to take two people. Which is about the same amount of fuel per person to fly in something like a 737. Just in a dirty engine that produces more pollution over the same distance.
Rob Elliott ha....I am a school bus driver and you would be doing well to get 8 mpg...it is more typical with 6mpg...that will be a long haul for them but I admire their ambition.
But arnt bus drivers always rushing? I mean, my bus driver always had that thing either on the floor, or stopped... it was either 0% thorttle or 100%, no inbetween. Also, bus driving is stop and go, which is a little more strainuoes on the engine, and fuel economy. If they were doing highway speeds for a period of time, i assumed they would get much high mpg than the "average" school bus in stop and go situations.. I personally would say that they're probably maying atleas 12mpg highway and 8 city.
Such a beautiful conversion! I love the combo of white and palet wood! And the antique-like faucet in the kitchen is just lovely! That bathroom looks like a spa!

***** not everyone wants a permanent home, especially young, adventurous people :) it ties you down, costs alot and gives a lot of new responsibilities.
jsutin bibber it doesn't have to be permanent. people like taking road trip during there vacation time and in the summer to spend quality time with there families
That is the nicest shower I've seen. Suddenly I think I see construction in my very near future! I've lived in my Gulfstream Sunstream Hi Rise for over 20 year's now. It's 36 ft X 8 without slide outs. At the time I purchased my coach everyone was trading in their RV's to get slide outs. I didn't want them I had a good choice of different coaches and chose the Gulfstream because it has a side isle and a "basement" for storage. I remodeled the interior tearing out all of the carpet. In the living area, kitchen and hallway I put down hardwood floors. It the bathroom and bedroom I installed ceramic tile floors. I live in LA where a Studio apartment runs $1,200 per month. I'm lease locked at $565 per month which includes water, trash, gardener and electric. I do purchase my own propane. I have a 35 gallon tank that will last 3-4 months depending on if I use the furnace. I've redone the interior to suit me painting over the wall paper. I left the cabinets original, I like the light oak wood and trim. I installed all new faucets and installed a tankless hot water heater. So I have hot water on demand and can take a good shower and not run out of hot water. I also installed a power converter that runs off 4, 6 volt golf cart batteries. I also have solar power charging. After I fully retire I plan on doing nothing but travel. Until then the trailer park is a good place to call home I really enjoy the Schoolies and seeing how creative people are in design. It's also nice to see younger people living their own personal dream's..
You guys did a amazing job I am looking to do this to a bus in the future in you are ever looking to sell you defiantly have a buyer right here 😉 you guys are awesome 👏🏻

Really cool video! Can you guys make a vlog about where you guys are from and all that stuff? I'm really interested in learning more about you guys. If it's in one of your vlogs, which vlog is it?
Keep making videos!
this is so cool me sister wants to live on a bus like this when she grows up how do u guys wash your clothes and can you wash them on the go
im assuming they would use Laundromats in different cities/towns they stop in
or just wash them in the sink with their hands!
Yes, and then set up a sort of drying line on the outside of the bus. :) I would love to live in this bus/home, it's awesome. :D
***** not everyone wants a permanent home, especially young, adventurous people :) it ties you down, costs alot and gives a lot of new responsibilities.
jsutin bibber it doesn't have to be permanent. people like taking road trip during there vacation time and in the summer to spend quality time with there families
Totally awesome and bad ass. I loved it. I gave you a sub. Cheers Mark.
I also installed a power converter
that runs off 4, 6 volt golf cart batteries. I also have solar power charging. After I fully retire I plan on doing nothing but travel. Until then the trailer park is a good place to call home
I really enjoy the Schoolies and seeing how creative people are in design. It's also nice to see younger people living their own personal dream's..
