It's ok for a couple but with the kid's I wouldn't do it, not enough room for them and being home schooled they don't get to interact with other children other then their own siblings i made the mistake of home schooling my youngest daughter just because I thought the schools was not safe any more to much shootings, drug's. I started to notice unlike my other girls at her age she was shy never cared to go run up to other kid's to say hello, or do you want to play? I felt I took something important from her, by third grade I put her in school her personality changed to a perky normal hyper kid. The bus is beautiful great for trips and camping.

There's also that spirit of crossing those bridges when you get to them....and doing the crazy things while it's not a problem. The fact is the children are young with minimal needs for space and privacy. Kids this age are heavily dependent on family and not so much tied to a neighborhood, friends, or a school or town. They can also easily keep in touch with anyone they like from wherever they are via the phone and internet. I hate to say this but my husband had hippie parents that remodeled a bus for them and 4 kids! They all moved out at early ages the oldest is 32 now and my husband the youngest is 24 now and they all talk about how much they hated growing up in a bus. They had bunk beds like those where their mom had to cut twin beds in half to get them all to fit! They out grew them really fast and couldn't get a good night sleep. They had no privacy and their mom and dad would kick them outside everyday because their was just not enough room for everyone. They all live in big houses now and say they wish their mom and dad had giving them a home. They where home schooled too and complained about never having any friends from moving around not going to school. I think your kids enjoy it now because they are little but when teenage years come you will start to see a resentment. My husband's Mom is completely oblivious to the fact that her kids hated it even though they complain about it at every get together. She even jokes that "kids don't care where they live just stack them on top of each other like wood" I hope it all works out for this family and their kids grow up to enjoy this life style but to everyone that thinks this is a good idea just know that you can't pretend that your kids are having fun and loving it because its not for everyone and I've seen that the kids have no respect for their mom and dad and spoil their own kids rotten to make up for what they didn't have.
Yeah the worst part is after the last kid moved out my husband they bought a house and 5 acres of land. It was a big slap in the face. When me and my husband bought our 2006 3bedroom house, it took him a long time to feel normal. idk how it is in the USA but in my countries there's communities of nomads so they hang out each other very often. There's tziganes of course and people who work in funfairs, but there's also people who just like this lifestyle and they usually become friends really easily
I was thinking that this whole time. They obviously don't have friends since they're never in one place, they only have each other but the good thing is at least there's 3 of them
They don't. They just talk to their family and maybe kids when they stop, but they wouldn't get permanent friends until they move into a permanent home or get phones and find the internet
Seems like a lot of negative comments? The kids looks happy and so do the parents. They traded off a mortgage for freedom and adventure. This family is truly living life.
this is cool if you don't have kids. your children need friends whom they can constantly interact with. few more years now, those kids are going to have their own lives far away from you and they need a permanent home where they can run to everytime they feel exhausted of adult life and everything. c'mon parents of the kids, that's really fun but dont be too selfish.
Roniel Molina it looks like these kids will have no need for typical boring neighbourhood friends and I don't think they will have an exhausting adulthood either. They will grow up to be completely different people with interesting occupations and leaders in their own right. How I wish I had this luxury of this much travel. I was bored of living in one place for 18 years...seeing the same faces over and over again....and couldn't wait to explore new places. These guys will have friends everywhere. While you are absolutely right in your concerns but these parents are phenomenal. The spirit they will impart to their kids......the memories....simply delightful. I hope for the best for them.
Zachisonfire there will be social interaction in the way these guys choose to live. In fact a lot more than an average family. People live like recluses even in apartment complexes. So it depends. Regarding getting personal space.....ya I agree with you. But you win some you lose some I guess. In life it's never ideal. We have to live with the best we can do.
HippyHoneyBees they did say they have talked about it. And they have suggested that they didn't always live on the bus full time. I was going to ask how these parents have sex.
Yeah, a couple or one person would be ok, or even a family of 3 (siblings, relationship, 2 parents and one kid or one parent and 2 kids.) but I feel like a family that large would require a real house.
I think it’d be awesome just a couple- like to have that whole bus and be able to travel would be cool, but add three kids. Jeez wait till they grow up it’ll be a nightmare.
@@roadkill348 what kind of world do you live in? Some might not and I'm most won't be as often but I'm sure there are times when intimacy is wanted. Maybe they need to get a babysitter or have family watch them so they can have alone time even if they don't want to have sex. The rest of it is great but I couldn't handle the bedroom situation.
Y'all sound dumb af. They have privacy. Did y'all not see the door? The boys have their own room with a door! She said that in the video. And the parents have their own room as well. With a door too.
What a strange take away from this video. Young family sees the world, conquers their debt, spends their time together bonding, free to do as they please. Hell, they even take responsibility for their kids education, while others whine that the free schools their children go to don't do a good enough job raising their kids for them. I am blown away by the life they've created for themselves. I feel truly impressed! "BUT HOW DO THEY F*CK" inquiring minds want to know?! Anytime they can, anywhere they can, in any way they can. Does that answer your question people? I mean where there's a will there's a way, but I am sure they are touched by your concern for their sex life. LMAO
This is a very cool and it would be awesome to live in a bus like that for maybe a month. I couldn’t live in it forever and I feel like they would probably have to move out when the boys get older.
Tiffani Hidalgo not how storms work with traffic they would not have time to get out of the way plus all it take is a single severe thunderstorm to destroy everything and kill everyone so no they are in the worst possible “house”
Love this bus!! I really like how the parents thought about giving some space to the kids with those cute cabins, usually parents just take a lots of space for themselves and let the kids sleep on the sofa(that can turn into a bed).
Daniel Kang I don’t think parents usually do that maybe it’s bc those other parents didn’t have the time and money to convert the bus the way they want. Either way these ppl r doing it the right way. Your kids need their own place to sleep.☺️
Adam Mcgrath I have lived in the same city my whole life of thirty one years and I have no friends and barely any roots. I would much rather experience life, then stay in one place. You can’t take material belongings with you when you die, but you do have your memories. So everyone is different. I wouldn’t be so quick to judge.
They look like a very well adjusted family, and appear to LOVE the bus life. Best wishes to them, and their pursuit of happiness, as they see it! No matter what, I think EVERYONE should own at least 1 bus in their life time! Good times.
I love this so much! We've just bought a smaller bus (2004 Mitsubishi Rosa) to renovate and live in with our two children. Unfortunately larger buses like this are very expensive and hard to come by in Australia.. but we are so excited to get it done! Such negative comments on this thread, people need to understand that the "normal" life we are expected to lead isn't for everyone, we've settled before and it really isn't for us. The kids and ourselves are happier travelling and I am so exciting to show them all Australia has to offer! You guys are so inspiring for those of us that have similar dreams! :)
they bought another bus ? i dont believe it . They have 2.4 k subscribers and was building their channel up with uploads once a month and then suddenly stopped making videos . if they had another bus they would have uploaded a video sometime ! they have divorced , stopped traveling or something happened mate . they havemt even did one upload this whole year , im not buying the " another bus theory " .
I love how more and more people are thinking or actually living on water! It's a new direction that i was kinda close minded about it but now i feel like it can be as fun and doable as busses are.. Also amazing family and amazing home
I've seen many other bus conversions and i think you've really improvised a better living space and lifestyle for your children. Specially that chalkboard under a bed was a great idea. And the people who are complaining about how the bunk beds are too small clearly haven't watched other skoolies with bunk beds.
Pro Hooper they didnt bought a new bus, they are planning to buy a house, see their new video, they regret buying the bus, it didnt work well for them as the kids were all growing up and the beds wouldnt fit them.
Love the lockers (a nod to the bus' past) and the raised roof is incredible. Great sense of openness. I can't see them continuing this when those boys get beyond, say, 12... but that's a problem for another day. This works for them now, and that's all that matters. Beautifully built!
She said the lockers came from their home which they had at their home for their boys so it’s probably just from that it’s just a coincidental thing about the locker and school bus connection.
Both good points, Rose. As for the bed size, I was referring more for a typical pre-teen's desire for a bit more privacy... longer periods in the bathroom... the necessity for more food and clothing storage... those kinds of issues. But yeah, I can certainly imagine if everyone was on board, they could add a hitch and a decent sized trailer to hold additional gear - if the family still has a desire to be permanently mobile at that point.
Those kids need interaction. The bus and traveling everywhere is cool now. They'll not be happy when they're teenagers without roots. Guaranteed. These parents have a heart of gold but theyre being selfish. Whether they realise it or not
Can always ask the smart mother who paints with her baby in her arms.... she might have some more smart ideas about the kids out growning the cubbies or being isolated and growing up with no friends so she can live out her dreams
gorgeous space!! I love the L shaped couch and that your kitchen counter backs onto it so you can look out over the bus when working at the counter. I also LOVE the corner drawers! Why has no one thought of that before?!! I've never seen anything like them and they are brilliant!! Thanks for showing us your home. :)
The Helpful Assistant maybe because with drawers there is plenty of unused space left there...in this whole corner in comparison to lazy susan solutions Especially the ones attached to doors are great like this one www.woodworkingnetwork.com/sites/woodworking/files/styles/large_landscape_desktop/public/The%20Curve.jpg
A friend of there’s: so where do you live? Boys: On a bus. Friend: No where do you live? Boys: on a bus. Friend: NO! Where do you LIVE? Boys: ON A BUS! Friend:Oh
Question. if you live in a bus and you are driving and hit a speed bump, does anything fall or? just asking because I saw a plant at the edge of a shelf and it looked like a glass potted 😁
Honestly this is the first bus conversion I think makes sense!!They know how to manage their space and make a good full kitchen , living room, nice bunks
i could never 🤭 that house is literally smaller than my room. I’d need the whole space to myself. Also when the kids grow up they couldn’t even fit a makeup table in their room. 😭
I was thinking the same thing, their feelings and everything starts to change maybe that’s not how they would want to live anymore especially if they start seeing the real world and there’s so much more to explore than living in a bus
Can you imagine living in this bus with children? Thumbs up this comment if you could!

@@yikes4172 did u hear her five years plan obviously they don't plan on living there forever
@@jamhustler1017 oh ok
How do the kids make friends? Just curious since they are always on the move.
idk how it is in the USA but in my countries there's communities of nomads so they hang out each other very often.

I love the bus, and it’s fine when the kids are young, but when they’re teenagers, there’s no way this is going to work.
who said this is what they are doing permanently? when the kids get older they will probably get a house. why not have fun while you can?
HippyHoneyBees they did say they have talked about it. And they have suggested that they didn't always live on the bus full time. I was going to ask how these parents have sex.
My only issue would be driving, hitting a bump, then cleaning up everything that fell and broke.
Thay keep most of their things in drawers and they put on a lock so it dosn't fall.
Dummy
This is cute and all but for an enire family?! I feel like this would be like something for maybe one or two people
Yeah, a couple or one person would be ok, or even a family of 3 (siblings, relationship, 2 parents and one kid or one parent and 2 kids.) but I feel like a family that large would require a real house.
But its FamilyBus
home
I think it’d be awesome just a couple- like to have that whole bus and be able to travel would be cool, but add three kids. Jeez wait till they grow up it’ll be a nightmare.
It looks like they did a wonderful job utilizing all the space to their liking. the bunks are really close to the pod hotels in Japan. Super cool.
I wonder what kind of jobs do the parents have?
They kill people

It's really cute but how do the parents have intimacy??
Camille Degrave probably don't, most parents with young kids don't.
It’s not cute the kids don’t even have space damn wtf
LMAO
This is hands down my favorite conversion EVER!
Sarah McLemore I totally agree
I couldn’t do it. I love big houses. I would be claustrophobic!
Me too, claustrophobic. Not exactly big houses but enough space to breathe 😂 It looked nice but not for a person like me.

Remodel? Take the caves out completely and make more room for bigger kids?
This is a very cool and it would be awesome to live in a bus like that for maybe a month. I couldn’t live in it forever and I feel like they would probably have to move out when the boys get older.
Rent is so expensive we’re living in our cars now.
It’s not a car tho... ? Lol the fuck and you can go anywhere instead of being in the same damn spot forever!! Lol
They've done an excellent job of making that bus into their home.
I’d be scared to crash the bus
Demons saaaaame

Right... What f it breaks down at mile marker 357. I guess that is home for awhile.
YOU STOLE MY COMMENT
IM MAKING A DISS TRACK ON YOU
The best thing is....
if anything bad would happen like a tornado they can get out with everything they own
Tiffani Hidalgo True
The worst thing is....
If they crash half of their shit would be fucked like after thanos snap
Like 40 mph wind would knock the bus over when they drive
Tiffani Hidalgo not how storms work with traffic they would not have time to get out of the way plus all it take is a single severe thunderstorm to destroy everything and kill everyone so no they are in the worst possible “house”
now a burglar can literally snatch ur whole house..
Shalissa and car

Love this bus!! I really like how the parents thought about giving some space to the kids with those cute cabins, usually parents just take a lots of space for themselves and let the kids sleep on the sofa(that can turn into a bed).
Daniel Kang I don’t think parents usually do that maybe it’s bc those other parents didn’t have the time and money to convert the bus the way they want. Either way these ppl r doing it the right way. Your kids need their own place to sleep.☺️
We just told our family that we are getting a bus next Fall and this is so motivating. We are so excited, awesome video!
A lot of people would feel claustrophobic in those beds but I personally love them it makes me feel so cozy!
Best bus conversion yet...More house than bus. Thanks for sharing.

Unless its out of necessity. This isn't ideal for children. They need roots and friendships.
Adam Mcgrath exactly smh
Adam Mcgrath I have lived in the same city my whole life of thirty one years and I have no friends and barely any roots. I would much rather experience life, then stay in one place. You can’t take material belongings with you when you die, but you do have your memories. So everyone is different. I wouldn’t be so quick to judge.
Melissa Minerva lmao what?
Adam Mcgrath In my opinion you don’t need anything As long as your happy
Well, they park the bus at a campsite that I am sure has many other children.
This is hands down my favorite school bus/home conversion. It's awesome. They did a really great job!

Wait til they're teenagers.
Adam Mcgrath they just sold it because the children got too big
sold it? how to you know this? are they not traveling anymore? i know plenty of youtubers who have more kids and travel .
TheBeaver50 they sold the old bus & are currently in the process of completing their bigger bus. They're on social media
the bought another bus
they bought another bus ? i dont believe it .
What a beautiful home! A lot of children live under circumstances so much worse. I think this is chique and cosy.
I love how more and more people are thinking or actually living on water! It's a new direction that i was kinda close minded about it but now i feel like it can be as fun and doable as busses are.. Also amazing family and amazing home
the Problem with living on water is that everything is more expensive and that if things go bad, they really go bad.
I've seen many other bus conversions and i think you've really improvised a better living space and lifestyle for your children. Specially that chalkboard under a bed was a great idea. And the people who are complaining about how the bunk beds are too small clearly haven't watched other skoolies with bunk beds.
They are now selling this bus on instagram😂
Charlotte 2006 really??
And bought another school bus without a roof raise.
Charlotte 2006 why
Pro Hooper they didnt bought a new bus, they are planning to buy a house, see their new video, they regret buying the bus, it didnt work well for them as the kids were all growing up and the beds wouldnt fit them.
REALLY I HAVE TO HAVE IT IN MY LIFE
By far, the best... they are definitely living the moment. Many blessings
Is it just me that saw the storage drawers in the boys room and thought they were some sort of weird torturous beds
Yes i thought that as well
My favourite so far! Ingenious what they’ve done to the bus!
Love the lockers (a nod to the bus' past) and the raised roof is incredible. Great sense of openness. I can't see them continuing this when those boys get beyond, say, 12... but that's a problem for another day. This works for them now, and that's all that matters. Beautifully built!
Brad Cornelius it might only be till the boys are 8 but they can always install bigger beds for them etc
I don't think it's a "dumb" thing, I actually love the fact that you guys are drifting away from the normal routine of life! Good for you guys 👍🏿!!
Why so many negative comments? It seems to make them happy and fits perfectly for them, so why not. Looks beautiful inside.
Very well done. Beautiful, functional and adapted to the owners including the kids!
Anastasia Renaud the kids are half of the parcel when u have kids so u have to go around them I know, I have 2 kids. She’s a great mom
Homeschooled kids living in a school bus.
*change my mind*
I have a question about this, what are they gonna do when the kids grow out of the cubbys?
iLovetheStrange
I was wondering the same thing!
Exactly kids grow up very fast
Theyll probably sell it...ijs
Those kids need interaction. The bus and traveling everywhere is cool now. They'll not be happy when they're teenagers without roots. Guaranteed. These parents have a heart of gold but theyre being selfish. Whether they realise it or not
Can always ask the smart mother who paints with her baby in her arms.... she might have some more smart ideas about the kids out growning the cubbies or being isolated and growing up with no friends so she can live out her dreams
Very well thought out home setup
gorgeous space!! I love the L shaped couch and that your kitchen counter backs onto it so you can look out over the bus when working at the counter. I also LOVE the corner drawers! Why has no one thought of that before?!! I've never seen anything like them and they are brilliant!! Thanks for showing us your home. :)
The Helpful Assistant maybe because with drawers there is plenty of unused space left there...in this whole corner in comparison to lazy susan solutions
Especially the ones attached to doors are great like this one

It good it show the kids to okay to live in a small house if like living in small bus if your is happy it does not matter god bless your family
✊🏾 I love that they have a 5 Year Plan of being on the water
These are the parents who don’t realize that children become older and imagine when their in puberty.
Wammysworld They might sell the bus and go back to normal lifestyles.
I was thinking the same thing, their feelings and everything starts to change maybe that’s not how they would want to live anymore especially if they start seeing the real world and there’s so much more to explore than living in a bus
It could be temporary like “we can travel and live minimalistic but we can also get a house and plant roots when the time is right.’
Lol how they gonna jack off in a bus
