Some people say they can't go tiny because they have a family. The Evans family shows that if you really desire to live and travel full time on the road, you can make it happen!
There's a difference between living and cramming people in a cuboid. You think its healthy to live in that tiny baggage storage? Or no privacy for a 16yr old? There's no apocalyptic situation outside to force so many people and animals in that tiny space I support tiny living with only essential things but there's a limit. This bus is only good for traveling.
Tiny Home Tours they are doing it but it doesn’t mean the kids are happy. They are on camera but I’m sure once they the camera is off it a shit show on that bus.

There are a lot of big families on the road. And it's good for the kids, they experience more of what's important in life while learning to live with less stuff and becoming very good at getting along. They fly the nest better off for it. Anyone with lots of kids knows that they are often grumpy/fighting, bus or no bus - is just part of family life.
I grew up in a tiny home before it was “cool” with my parents, sister and two dogs. I loved it! Ignore all the judgy comments, it’s not for everyone but for my family it was heaven! I would have loved to live in a Skoolie as a kids and my kids have been begging my husband and I to live in a Skoolie, so we are are getting our house ready to sell and get our Skoolie! I will say living tiny and homeschooling made our family extremely close knit. My sister is truly my best friend and my mom and and I are best friends. There are so many wonderful lessons to learn when you stop working for “stuff” and start living for God and to create memories with your family!

sundancita probably strapped for the roof. For the love of god they have a kid sleeping in a luggage storage area. What would happen if there was an emergency? He can’t open the door from the inside...only option is to climb through the whole in the floor.

That table conversion was amazing in the beginning.
Guess what popped up on my computer today. I had to watch of course . That's the first time I've seen the inside. It's spectacular. Miss Lucas. Wish he was here to help me. Ann of Logan UT
This is one of the most beautiful and well designed vehicle conversions I've ever seen. I love the style, function, and the 'family culture' that has been so greatly prioritized. "Have fun. Be Good. Learn Lots." And thank you for sharing!
FIRSTLY please ignore the trolls and ignorant rude comments, truly it never ceases to amaze me people who hide behind their keyboard and say nasty things, ANYWAY i just want to say how beautiful and organised your home is and your children will grow up intelligent, kind Adults. i just love your map so the kids can see where their going and chore charts , it just shows how loving and intelligent parents that you are, Safe and Happy travels to you all, Cheers from Australia.PS your home really is so lovely and homely.
Wow! FANTASTIC! This is one of the BEST bus videos. Tons of info, great bus layout, easy to listen to folks, true, life on a bus stories, great editing and all under 20 mins!!! Thanks so much Chris.
They were very honest with their bus life. True what they said that like any other homes, you have good days and bad days. No sugar coating and that is a good. Atleast it is a working progress
This is one of the best I've ever seen complete house on wheels you could see all the love you guys have poured into your home God bless ... Good job Mom and Dad 💞
Love the vintage MCI of which I was driving in my early years as a tour coach operator. Oh the memories. Thanks for rekindling them. Just a really nice build all around. My favorite aspect is how close parents and siblings become when they have little room to disappear from one another. Little 'Bus' on the prairie kind of lifestyle.
The hideaway furniture is great. An egress window or a way to open it from the inside for the one in the bottom... would feel less iffy... would be safer Or the living room could be a bed too
GREAT That was a very nice fully utilized bus for so many people. Wow what a challenge to homeschool all of them. Keep it up. Really the color of the interior is relaxing.
This is absolutely one of the most beautiful, creative, liveable, conversions that I have ever seen. This is a home that looks like a bus on the outside. Not a bus that a family tries to live in! And that boy's bedroom is brilliant!!! I love your home! There is so much that I could borrow from your plans. I don't have young children so they is plenty of space for my art studio. Yet, I love to cook and don't want to give up a kitchen! I am truly smitten! I love how you handled your space.
Does room under bus get good ventilation and not engine smells? I rented a really nice apartment and one bedroom was under the garage and we got fumes not good. Just something to think about.
The generator was way away from the bus. The propane was 2 storage compartments down. I had a 15 yr.old cousin die from carbon monoxide poisoning. She got cold camping went started the car w a generator rite outside the mixture of both her body couldn't handle after falling asleep. I would hope upon getting insurance this bus was inspected. I hope w the size of this bus they have more than one detector. I noticed his door was open from the outside so hopefully he is fine in the long term.
Super nice bus! They seem like a great family. My only suggestion is that I would have made more bedrooms under the bus for when the kids become teenagers. Having survived raising two boys and a girl to adulthood I can tell you raising teenagers is stressful and at times you don't even want to look at them! lol!!!
Beautiful home,And family living in it. I love the floor w the green cabinets. The kitchen table is the best I've saw yet. The dog is pretty cute too. Thanks for sharing your home.
They seem to have made this lifestyle work for them, but I’d be interested in knowing how their kids feel, mainly the teens. Growing up is difficult enough, to also not have the freedom or space you often want. I do have to say that their accommodations look the best out of any kids “rooms” I’ve seen so far....(like the parents who pretended that their children had a 3 level bunk bed, when in reality their youngest was sleeping under the bottom of the bed 🤦🏽♀️) Overall this is one of the best bus conversions I’ve seen!
The interior on this conversion is BEAUTIFUL!! It’s so light and airy on this bus and the green is gorgeous! The youngest one looks like he’s the life party of the family! This entire design is obviously well planned and executed... a joy to watch!🤗
Looks like you two have everything under control. Good luck and happy trails. So, wherever you are going to travel to you can research the historical info first and then visit the sites like you did for Lincoln.
Thanks. That is exactly what we do. In fact most of our travel is determined by what the kids are interested in and have a desire to learn coupled with what we feel is important to expose them to.
Your place is so beautiful. Super neat and nice. You guys nailed it putting everything on esp the bunk beds for your kids with curtains on each of them to have their little privacy plus your oldest son man cave it’s amazing!!!! GOD JOB guys. Keep exploring :)
Thanks for the kind words. We tried hard to give everyone their own space. You can follow along on our RUclips channel if you'd like. We haven't posted much but are trying to do more (at least 2 videos a month). ruclips.net/channel/UCzcxAPWhubOXeQISCi7386g
There is no reason to feel bad for them. Liberal children might feel repressed because they are taught they can do whatever. Family children have nothing to get used to because their family is always around, you know, as it should be.
@@shadowhacker27 you should raise your children to be independent so that when they move out they will be ready for the world and not to be dependent on their family because their family won't always be around. As a parent you should be there for your kids as they grow up and help them when they need your help to become the person they want grow up to be. As it should be
we homeschooled with an RV for occ trips and I wouldn't trade anything. Now empty nesters, this is what I would like to do--and your conversion (and I have watched MANY) is MY FAV! Wish there was a love button-kudos guys-LOVE the table behinds the couches, hadn't seen that b4! For us the largest issue is that we have a plumbing co in our town and so we are really able to work on the road. Tough to walk away from a 36 year old client base, but I SO want to do what you've done. Still have our RV, and our PLUMBulance could be converted as well (we could even fit our harley inside). But have always preferred a large bus with bays!
I caught that too. They seem connected as a family and living in a small space, it will be hard for any of the children to isolate or hide things from their parents or get lost so to speak. I really think this lifestyle will help those children become all that God intended them to be
Wow this is a fabulous bus, all the normal features that you would want or need. I love that couch in the dining room table how you did that that’s absolutely fabulous and very unique. I like that you put all the Standard appliances in there you really need it for a large family. Your bus is absolutely beautiful great job.
Thank you, Evans family, 3 dogs and a snake; I loved this vid. Your energy is so up-lifting. I really love the couch table combo. I am an artist and have been looking for toy haulers with garages to use as studio space. But they are really ugly and the couches look uncomfortable. This type of solution would be wonderful for our family of two plus dog. Many Blessings to you and your family.
This is the Best Bus Camper I have ever seen much more organized than the two of us we use way too much water to live on a bus. Thanks for sharing your vedio is save to our favorites
Beautiful schoolie, nice & cozy! Love that quick table conversion idea. Ive seen people put a fan by the furnace to blow the heat in the direction you want heat. Maybe try that to warm the back of the bus so everyones nice & toasty.
Very kind of these folks to share their table plans. They could easily sell them. I find most skoolie folks to be very kind which just adds to the allure of this life style
Thank you. I'm an adult female, but also vertically challenged (5'2") and in my kitchen I'm constantly having to use the step stool to get to top cabinets, so going to use your design on the cupboard door!

Great conversation! We have 10 children with 7 still at home and we are living in a 1985 MCI 102A3. I’ve no solar power, no holding tanks, so we must have 50 amps and water and sewer. 2 questions 1. How do you cool it? I have duel mini split AC heat pump. Works great in moderate weather. Our bus is lacking in insulation. 2. How do you do with composting toilet? We have a house toilet. Lots of water! P.S. love the table setup. That’s something I really miss. Our home table was 4 x 10 ft, 3 meals a day.
Thank you for all the kind words. The solar is a life saver. I don't know how you do it without. 1) We have a rooftop RV AC unit but we can only use it when we are plugged into shore power. We would like to get a mini-split though. 2) Composting toilet has been good. I have to take the solids out about every three days and the urine every day. Toilets are the largest consumers of water so it is nice to be able to save it.
8people3dogsandasnakeonabus we have to have full hookup....I went with the Dual split Mini heat pump and Can add a third air handler if necessary and there are times it is necessary, Extreme heat and cold weather, it’s 220v... it would’ve helped if the man that started this project would have insulated the bus better...our toilet is a house type with no holding tanks, fresh, grey, or black so no boondocking. Loving our tankless LP water heater.

What a wonderful life. I'm happy for anyone who actually gets to live out this dream that so many of us have but not everyone can achieve.
You can do it. =)
That is the nicest set up I've seen. Beautiful. That would have made for a wonderful childhood & I'm sure these kids will forever be blessed to have grown up this way.
That table conversion was amazing in the beginning.
thank you for the kind words. the plans are now available to purchase if you are interested. Only $10. ruclips.net/video/bYhlgwtRckU/видео.html
Guess what popped up on my computer today. I had to watch of course . That's the first time I've seen the inside. It's spectacular. Miss Lucas. Wish he was here to help me. Ann of Logan UT
Oh my gosh best living room/craft area/school study space table fold over design. Plus seat beats woohoo
This is one of the most beautiful and well designed vehicle conversions I've ever seen. I love the style, function, and the 'family culture' that has been so greatly prioritized. "Have fun. Be Good. Learn Lots." And thank you for sharing!
This home is so lively and accommodates so much in a small space yet doesn't look/feel hectic.
Thank you for the kind words.
Wow! FANTASTIC! This is one of the BEST bus videos. Tons of info, great bus layout, easy to listen to folks, true, life on a bus stories, great editing and all under 20 mins!!! Thanks so much Chris.
Thanks for all the kind words. We have loved our rolling home. And I agree - Tiny Home Tours did a fantastic job.
Family of 8 here as well. We've thought about this lifestyle many times. Seeing your post makes me think it's definitely doable now.
An egress window or a way to open it from the inside for the one in the bottom... would feel less iffy... would be safer
Or the living room could be a bed too
This is so unique! And the way they broke down the bathroom was also genius.
GREAT That was a very nice fully utilized bus for so many people. Wow what a challenge to homeschool all of them. Keep it up. Really the color of the interior is relaxing.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
The table is really cool! Very impressed that these parents prioritized their family over acquiring ‘stuff’. Congrats!
This just may be my favorite build so far and ive watched hundreds, if not thousands of these type of videos. You giys did an amazing job!!!
Agreed, it's really good. =)
Thanks so much for the kind words. We love our rolling house.
That table fold in absolutely absolutely awesome!!!
The boys room is like one of the most creative things Iv seen immm a bus home
Thank you.
So many great ideas. I am absolutely in love with the dinning table and interior colours
Very clever table.Wow epic everything is well thought through. Amazing
thank you for the kind words. the plans are now available to purchase if you are interested. Only $10. ruclips.net/video/bYhlgwtRckU/видео.html
Those tables are genius!!
Great Salute a Women who feeds 7+1 and Pets... GOD BLESS U GUYS.. GOD BLESS YOU.. I WISH WITH FULL HEART..
Super nice bus! They seem like a great family. My only suggestion is that I would have made more bedrooms under the bus for when the kids become teenagers. Having survived raising two boys and a girl to adulthood I can tell you raising teenagers is stressful and at times you don't even want to look at them! lol!!!
Fire Safety hazzard to have no way out from the INSIDE. Generations of children have lived without private space. They'll be fine.
@@estherstrategicadvisor749 No way out?? All they have to do is open a door which is one of there walls in the bedroom.🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Mechanic Steve he specifically said in the video that there is no way to open that door from the inside, dude.
@@brunoglopes That's a easy fix for trade for a little bit of peace and quiet.🤣🤣
You guys are so awesome.
excellent idea to separate out the various pieces of the bathroom-really increases the functionality
V spacious n clean built for a family of 8people. Hats off to u guys. God bless u all with good health happiness n loooooooooong life
Just the nicest one I've seen of the
DYI conversions just beautiful 🙋🏾♀️♥️❤️💜💙 it!
All the custom pull outs from the table to the little ones foot stool in the bathroom is just awesome!!! I really like that idea!!!!
The table is ❤️❤️
I love how you guys have older kids it makes the house so much more relatable
Thanks. We are going to be letting each of our kids post some videos on our channel to give their take on it too.
the layout is so smart.
The interior on this conversion is BEAUTIFUL!! It’s so light and airy on this bus and the green is gorgeous! The youngest one looks like he’s the life party of the family! This entire design is obviously well planned and executed... a joy to watch!🤗
ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO BUILD A HOME FOR YOUR FAMILY.
I THINK MORE YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD DO THIS.
SAFE TRAVELS
This build was everything! I'm going to have to see hem about that table, that was genius
So cool! The children learn efficiency and appreciation for simplicity. I’m sure the travels and outdoor activity are exciting as well.
Lovely bus. I love your fold out table. I'm going to nick (steal) that idea but use it for a settee to bed instead of a table.. Very nice overall.
Seeing your scriptures kept handy for family study makes everything perfect 🤗
God loves everybody reading this and may He guide you and lead you in life. ❤️🙏
Lovely build and well thought out. I imagine their children are gaining much more than they are giving up! Well done!
Your place is so beautiful. Super neat and nice. You guys nailed it putting everything on esp the bunk beds for your kids with curtains on each of them to have their little privacy plus your oldest son man cave it’s amazing!!!! GOD JOB guys. Keep exploring :)
Love your home on wheels and the set up too. Happy Learning and Traveling.
Beautifully done.
This is brilliant! The best conversion I've seen. You have thought of everything and considered everyone's needs
Thanks for the kind words. We tried hard to give everyone their own space. You can follow along on our RUclips channel if you'd like. We haven't posted much but are trying to do more (at least 2 videos a month). ruclips.net/channel/UCzcxAPWhubOXeQISCi7386g
Oooohhhhllllaaa! This design is awesome and amazingly done. WOW!!!!! It's so organized and having a family of 8 you too are awesome!
I feel bad for the oldest 2
But not everyone has similar needs in life
adi tya They have not privacy to experience themselves. Their cMother is doing it for them, showing the way having Kids like Rats!!
older children having their own rooms is only something that happens in the first world, this is very common in many places all over.
There is no reason to feel bad for them. Liberal children might feel repressed because they are taught they can do whatever. Family children have nothing to get used to because their family is always around, you know, as it should be.
adi tya. They’re the really strict Christ’s I think who probably don’t want there kids to explore even though it’s natural
That's a functional and cool house. Amazing family too. It looks like the bibles are well used. ❤️
How unfortunate.
I noticed that too!👏💙
I caught that too.
Brilliant idea you moving every where as a family 👏👏👏👏👏❤️👏❤️
Love what you have done with your space, the colors are awesome, best bus conversion I've seen..
Thanks so much for all the kind words. Good luck in your journey to find something suitable for your little family. You can do it!
We stay in the warmer areas for the most part but if we hit the cold again - we will definitely try the fan out. Thanks
That's awesome. I'm going to be posting a video on the step stool I created later this month on our channel.
Beautiful family and bus god bless you 💗🙏
What a fantastic life experience for the kid's...for you all, inc the pets.
Americans, North and south, sit up and take note, regardless of those with big voices ... T ... the world can be beautiful and mind blowing. Your table and couch setup is pure genius! What a sensational idea! - Notes taken, for my eventual van build!
😍😍Gorgeous home!! Love the colours and style! Table?...Genius!!👍🏻👍🏻
10 kids!! I guess it's hard during COVID to have everyone all at home then since groups are limited to 10 or less ...geez...stay safe and healthy
I want to do this and keep my full-time job as a teacher.
do it and teach online anywhere
@@Mei-st5bq I'm a special Ed teacher. Maybe there is a need for that on-line. I don't know

Amazing bus/home. I love the lower room you made out of the bay.
I really like the layout and stylish interior design.
I love it. That had to be so much work and tough to balance all those lives while living as nomads. I imagine the parents are, level headed and don't rattle easily
Thank you for the kind words. I would like to think we are level headed but it all depends on the moment, right? HAHA.
Those tuck away tables n sofas would be great in studio flats or flats in general as well. Smart use of space
You have done a good job with making that bus work. It doesn't matter where you live, as long as there is love & you clearly have that! Thank you for the love you give the dogs!!!! You have a very nice set up here!
Really would like the plans to the tuck away table!!!
All the negative people in the comment sections hate their boring lifes as sheeple while this family made the sacrifices necessary to live the dream. These kids will appreciate having a real world education on the road.
beautiful, lovely design.
Very warm and homey atmosphere inside of thered... love it! Those floors are so cute😍
This is an absolutely amazing build!!!
Dang, check out that front wheel cut. I’m guessing that’s a MCI advantage.
Very cool

Later... "Did you ride the bus to school when you were a kid?"
"Well...."
Nope I walked 1 mile to school.
😆
deltaray3 You know he did!! that’s how he came up with cramming a shit load of Kids in a Bus and live in one! All you need is a washer/dryer that needs Water that they don’t have to run it!! and plenty of Storage Compartments to fill with kids!!! Two to a Compartment!,at least!!
I lived there
This is the best designed bus I’ve seen. Very impressive.
