Hey Guys!!! I'm a San Jose State Grad and guess what??? I used to DRIVE 304!!!!!! I am so glad you guys bought it and turned it into a lovely home! You're living my dream!!!! Enjoy the heck out of her! She was a good bus!
Wow that is so rad! I shared this with Sam and Katy and they are very excited to hear that. It's kind of wild to think about the lives these buses had before we converted them and the dozens of people who drove them and thousands who rode in them! It's so cool to hear that you drove this bus and you're right it's a great bus. When are you building yours?!
Yeah! What a small world! I drove buses while going to school and ended up with a 14year career before doing something different! Was just helping a friend of mine with his Prevost on Monday! Working on the wife but I’m going to do an MCI or PD4106 for more room! Every bus has a story!!!!
It's funny that building a bus to avoid natural disasters when possible was what popped into your head. I live on the Georgia coast & every hurricane season, it's batten down the hatches & go where it's safe. I started thinking of going tiny & mobile, when my last child was in his 2nd year of college. I spent time checking out all of the options but decided a 40' activity bus was what I'd need. I knew I wanted to be off grid capable, but I also knew being a traveling crafter of most woodworking items, I'd need more space for tools & reclaimed wood. So I started reading and watching all the bus builds, collecting ideas. Next year my house goes on the market, the bus gets bought & the build will begin. 😊
Very beautiful and incredibly well thought out. 💝🙏💝 defiantly a beautiful home for your family! Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your home with us! 💝🙏💝
Wow --- so many of the appliances are FULL size, that galley kitchen is so spacious; what a fabulous build-out of a school bus 🚌 ! Dang - nice cockpit --- looks like Sam is ready to take-off into outer space 🚀 !! And, that sweet flip around screen - that goes from day (work) to night (viewing) 💝
What a beautiful gorgeous bus absolutely love it ..you thought of everything an such an incredible use of space its gorgeous could happily luve there ..si extremely talented ..you worked your magic ..incredible much love to you an your gorgeous family from Cyprus God bless x
This is amazing. Literally the only change I would make is more batteries, and instead of the cell signal booster I'd add a Starlink to have an internet connection anywhere. Then I can use my phone through the wifi, and also my laptop can connect to the internet. This is 100% inspiration.
Beautiful bus. Very impressive. Love the crate for the pupper! What a cute doggo! Your tiny home on wheels ticks off everything on my list except for the gas stove. But to each his own. I just think it’s the greatest. You all did an awesome job. Congratulations. I especially love the mini split. It’s something being used more and more. Glad to see it’s being utilized rather then those crazy big things you usually see! Many happy, safe travels! Vaya con Dios!!
You bus home is beautiful, i love all the nice clean lines and how you have made such good use of the space , the kitchen area and the arched sliding doors are the best 👌 😊👍💕💕💕
Millenials know how to build some stuff!! This one turned out pretty amazing, Justin. Considering you were a firefighter a couple years ago and didn't really know what you were doing, to now having built two buses, way to go. I think you have this bus building thing pretty well down at this point. Thanks for all the great build vids. What's the next build going to be???
Glad you appreciate them. I am actually quite proud of this bus. It turned out really tight! As for the next build...I don't have anything in the works yet but we'll be settling back into our home soon and transitioning Nova into kindergarten. I want to build something...I've got a lot of ideas of course!
@@MobileDwellings It won't last. you'll see how difficult it'll be to raise a kid in it. The novelty will wear out. So, just enjoy it because it'll get old as you get older 😱🤪🤔😂
Firefighters are some of the best builders, electricians, and trades people out there so that’s not surprising at all how nice the bus build turned out. It looks like he’s built 50 buses so far as nice as this one turned out so hopefully he keeps building!! We need good builders like Justin! Can’t wait to see what he does next!!
I love your bus conversion! I from San Jose so I'm very familiar with San Jose State! I noticed that your knives on the magnetic holder. I had mine on a magnet for years. I see you have the Victorinox 8 inch chefs knife, I have the same one! Just a little tip: it's safer to keep the blade points down and edges away (which you've done) in case you ever fall toward the knives. You will automatically without thinking throw your hands toward the wall so best not to have the points up! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
Absolutely love everything about this beautiful bus home. So spacious & cozy & love how little nooks & areas were dedicated to spices, teas, appliances, etc. i could be oh so happy living in there. Thx for sharing your gorgeous space!
I love the layout, the designated spaces for each “room,” and the equal amount of storage for each of you. :) I could easily see myself living in this full-time!
Just a thought, you're probably going to want a different hitch setup for your car. Something that lifts it off the ground, because every mile you tow it, that's one less mile you have on your car tires and you'll rack up miles on the odometer as well. Maybe a small flatbed for the car.
It's so nice and humble, great job. I wish I knew you guys, I can make those countertops look like a million dollars, walls and cabinetry for free. Your happy faces got my ❤️ instantly. If your ever in lancaster Pennsylvania call me, in a few weeks I can make your house look like a palace!
I love what you did with the bus. The only thing different for me I would want a bigger shower. So I would make a smaller counter other than that everything looks great you guys did a good job.
Great work, Great passion. ENJOY your life and let your ride be safe, no matter how many wheels you will use to move. (I am riding electric unicycles so know that one wheel is enough)
Overall, a nice layout for your bus. Well thought out and executed. I like your portal passage way doors. Not a fan of your toilet choice however. But I am old and cranky. Your choice of using a shorter pusher bus was genius and a very good choice. Much better maneuverability and you can access many more parking areas and tighter streets and parking lot driveways. Looks like your still sorting out your mini split heat/cooling system. It will be interesting to see what you like and don’t like after a year or two and what future changes you will be making with your lessons learned and experiences.
If there is a Skoolie build ranking, this has got to be in the Top 2. It's refined, fresh and uncluttered, has great incorporated design ideas, while continuing to be minimalist with a modern feel. Both Thumbs Up!
That bird is a humming bird made of coconut leaves and I think it was made by an Jamaican artisan that used to be by the entrance of James Bond Beach... really wish I still had mine.
Great use of space, comfortable enough for anyone to live in for years. It something I hope you hold on to the do future vacations even though you may have a house. Like that you had normal size appliances too . Choice of fridge was unusually great. If there was anything more one could ask for there, would be a clothes washer (but then that would be a house now🤔😁)
Have you got a negative and positive cable connected to your batteries from the engine block to power up your batteries with an isolator switch relay in it. This helps when your bus batteries need a starting boost if it goes flat. Just switch your isolator on and the bus battery will have power when starting the engine. Also do you have solar too. Plus having the isolator helps recharge your batteries in-house for extra power, especially for those low sunlight days.
WOW what an amazing home that you have there! I really love the setup and how is the ride when driving down the road.. I mean is really bumpy it looks like the bus may drive like a Cadillac. Awesome stuff guys. Travel Safe! .
What more does one NEED nada love all the personalized places around. What year is that bus? What was final total cost? Good luck guys great job congrats on the baby.
Hey that pot/pan ( thee infamous pan all over social media❤) at like 9:16- ( I think) HOW DO YOU LIKE IT!!????? I’m debating on purchasing 1 cuz they honestly seem so amazinggggg. I would like to get an honest review though…. B4 I take the plunge. Thank u ❤❤❤❤ and p.s. AMAZINGGGGG BUILD

This man understands a happy wife = Happy life
This is my favorite bus build so far! Love it!
I've never really seen a bus I would want to live in full-time.....until now. You all did an amazing job and clearly take great pride in your home.
One of my favorite skoolies so far and I've seen a lot. Well done!
Wow, thank you!
Ditto. VERY well done. I've seen videos of full-size (55-foot) conversions that didn't look this spacious or well thought out.
One of the best. The dog drinking was adorable and then we saw her face and oh my! Super fun bus and family
Very beautiful and incredibly well thought out. 💝🙏💝 defiantly a beautiful home for your family! Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your home with us! 💝🙏💝
That’s the nicest bus I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching bus builds for a couple of years!

Knowing that you own a Honda Element says it all, mate! Keep it great! And of course,
GREAT BUILD!!!
Haha so true
Nice Clean Build
well made video, one of the few I’ve watched all the way through.
I’ve lived nomadic life since 2012. I love this lifestyle
Aw nice glad you liked the build and the tour. You're a true veteran of the nomadic lifestyle. That's 10 years!
Love the use of wood. It is extensively used but does not feel overpowering.

Nicely done! And a walk-in closet! 😂 Seriously the most spacious closet I've seen in a bus build! Great job!
Its so ideal to have a home bus, being close to workplace and traveling 💕💕 so perfect

Love a bus video with a sudden mechanical keyboard feature!
I love the layout, the designated spaces for each “room,” and the equal amount of storage for each of you. :) I could easily see myself living in this full-time!
It really turned out beautiful!! I totally missed that cool desk area being built!!
Maybe try getting a trailer to pull your SUV. That way your not putting mileage on it and your tires last longer. Great build!!

Absolutely amazing and spacious too! Ceiling height appears high…I’m curious as to its actual height. Many blessings to you both!
