  • I take you to Cheers, Vietnam’s cheapest convenient store chain, and show you everything that I got for only $12. This Cheers store is located in District 1, Saigon, Vietnam, right next to the famous Bui Vien Walking Street. If you’re traveling to Ho Chi Minh City or thinking about moving to Vietnam, check out this video so you know where to do some affordable shopping while you’re here!
This video is packed with information about the cost of items and the cost of living here in Vietnam. Convenient stores like this Cheers are a great place to do some affordable convenient store shopping here in the city center of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).
I also show you some of the unique items that you wouldn’t typically find in an American convenient store, such as dried stingray.
Cheers is not the only convenient store in Vietnam, but after living in this country for quite a long time, I’ve noticed that it is the cheapest place to get your everyday essential goods. Other convenient store options in Ho Chi Minh City include: Circle K, Family Mart, GS 25, 7-11, and B-Mart.
If you're thinking about moving to Vietnam or HCMC, or if you're just planning a trip, I hope this video helps you understand more about the cost of specific items, the overall cost of living, and perhaps save you some money!

    • 10 INCREDIBLE Reasons ...
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Compared to convenient stores in America, everything in a Vietnamese convenient store is much cheaper. For $12 (288,000 VND) I was able to buy:
    -shampoo
    -hand soap
    -nail clippers
    -2 bottles of green tea
    -2 large bottles of water
    -a bottle of Fuze Tea
-and a big box of crackers
If I had to estimate what this would cost in America, I would say it would be around $35 (I could be wrong; feel free to leave a comment if you think this number is off target).
I’m interested to hear how the items at this convenient store compare to convenient stores where you are from. Leave a comment and let me know which items are different than what you would find at your local shop, and let me know how the prices compare as well!
Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video.
