Not sure if Lindsey did a playoff game on radio that year or in later years (doubt it) as he did in years past. But it’s def the last NFL game on TV that Lindsey did PBP.
Ten years later #85 TE Don Warren was still folding LBs in the run game. He punished the Falcons in the '91 Divisonal Playoffs and the Bills in the SB.
The Ram games in Anaheim were always blacked out in southern California because they didn't sell out a minimum of 72 hours before kick off. This happened a lot with the Raiders at the L.A. Coliseum in the 80s and 90s
@@johnmanier7968 And still was picking against them. He bet against them much more than he should have considering they were one of the best teams in the NFL (1982-1984) I bet he lost a lot of money betting against them. lol
An incredible turnaround for Joe Gibbs after an 0-5 start
In the next 36 regular season games they go 30-6 after that 0-5 start.
My first Redskins game with my Dad. I was 11. First time I've seen this game on RUclips. Priceless
Joe. Theisman. Was a true. Pro. Very. Tough
Joe Gibbs rookie season as head coach starting 0-5 but what he brought to Washington in the 80s has made Joe Gibbs a legend in the DC metro area.
Thanks.....this is one that I have not seen before....much appreciated.
Probably the last NFL game that Lindsay Nelson ever announced

This game for Washington was a preview of great things for next season, except for the strike

37:07 George Allen hitting the nail on the head about S.F
TY, a Skins game I have not seen in a very long time
Interesting game when looking at the juxtaposition of both squads.

8:12 39:16 Classic John Riggins run, brutalizing would be tacklers and lifting Nolan Cromwell off his feet.
George Allen was so right.
Damn. Redskins got 500 yards. too bad I couldn't see how the Redskins pulled ahead in the 2nd half.
I attended this debacle...my Rams were awful
What I remember most from that season is how much the quarterback play left to be desired.
So, who did Jimmy The Greek pick for the Super Bowl that year? That part wasn't shown.
Greek did foreshadow Washington’s rise the following season.
