The announcement of Our National Anthem and the crowd grows silent, then a lone trumpet plays, and the whole stadium sings in unison. What happened between then and now? No matter the reason, it's a sad thing, a shame.
I was there with my dad, in the non-scoreboard end zone where Charlie Waters scored the clinching TD. What a great game. Probably my single favorite fan moment happened just before the 2nd half, when the injured Staubach dramatically came out of the tunnel last. Did we ever shout!
I was there as a Redskin fan too but I was breaking the sinks Clogging the Toilets flooding the bathrooms spraying graffiti..In Texas Stadium I knew we were getting screwed why not have some some fun in the Texas Dump.. where the morons didn't have the know how to finish the Roof so they came up with excuse They Left it open so Lord but it was so the Devil could see Evil people cheat the righteous..I kinda felt bad til the The Minnesota Plow Down happened then I was happy I hated Those Crooked Broke back Mountain Gayboys

I thought Summerall & Brookshier would last forever as a child growing up watching the nfl on cbs but that all changed once we got to the 1980’s when John Madden was invited into the broadcast booth
Played on a Saturday Afternoon, on week 13. Both Dallas and Washington were tied for 2nd in the NFC East at the time at 8-4, one game behind the St. Louis Cardinals. The Redskins have beaten the Cowboys earlier that year in Overtime at Washington, so Dallas needed to win this game to enter the Playoffs as a Wild Card.
This was essentially the first playoff win for the Cowboys since it propelled them into a wildcard spot on their trip to the Super Bowl. Washington would lose out the rest of the season and miss the playoffs at 8-6
what Propelled them was The Minnesota MoDown Drew Pearson plowing Nate Wright down with the Ref Right there and the paid Hater had the nerve to throw a flag on Nate Wright for not falling fast enough cuz it sure as hell was not defensive pass interference but The Minnesota Buffalo Just got man handled by The Steelers and they knew they wouldn't pose a chance against the light in the ass Vikes but still Cowboys did give Pittsburg a better Game than Minnesota did but not much
@@Chris-di2fv Your stream of consciousness illiteracy makes me wonder how good your eyesight is. Go back and look not only at the incidental contact in the Vikings game which was *not* offensive pass interference, but also at the Super Bowl X footage where the Cowboys outplayed the Steelers for three quarters.
..You can't be that Pro Dallas to think they were for real?..Dallas...Was way overrated...George.Allen .Would have won every year...Dallas was.soft no hitters that team
Cliff Harris comes flying in at top speed in almost every play to tackle the running back. They called him Captain Crash! Check him out at 39:24 crashing in helmet first.....
The bit about “some say Newhouse isn’t a good running back” was a reference to a stupid put down from Howard Cosell in a MNF game against the Lions, earlier that year. He later lied and claimed he had never said it. The crowd loudly booed him at a MNF game later the same year and Dallas fandom hatred of Cosell essentially began with that remark.

Thomas #22 Washington, had a very nice season in ‘75 as a rookie, lm not sure if he progressed thereafter, but ‘75 was pretty nice “Lookie at our rookie” read the banners at RFK
It's too bad Pat Summerall didn't keep his exciting play calling and just quite frankly became a very matter of fact play caller. Not sure why he became so boring.
Redskins couldnt over come the extra 5 players the Cowboys signed right before the game Those bias paid players wearing the stripes Minnesota would lose to them a couple after this game In the Minnesota MoDown Cowboys always had the Refs help.
Randy White was actually a linebacker in his first two seasons with Dallas before he moved permantely to DT.
My dad told me this the other day, I had no idea.
He was the quorterbeck affer Ronnie Starbacks retire

Lot of good athletes on both sides of the ball. I was in the 5th grade and remember well.
Best annoncers ever!!!
No greater announcing crew than these two. ❤ Once in a lifetime!
I never liked Brookshier. He sounded like some drunk on the bar stool next to me.
Madden was way way way way way better (to infinity).

Great game; 1975 broadcasts are few and far between.

@@Chris-di2fv You should consider stand-up comedy as an alternative career.
Great season for Da Boyz considering it was a rebuilding year with 12 rookies but as they used to say " the Cowboys don't rebuild...they reload.
They didn't come any tougher than Larry Brown, One of the greatest Redskins ever playing for the "Over the hill gang".
Billy Kilmer was old (36), little, pot belly, and weak arm. But was a pretty good QB and a gr8 competitor.
He was great but he was the Tim Tebow of his time...
Kilmer was a good athlete in his earlier years, He was a converted halfback.
Bring back the Redskins. Don't cancel Native America.
I couldn't agree with you more!
This game took place on my first birthday.
Jeez, I'm old.
I love reading the comments on these old games as much as I love watching the games.
Thank you!
youre welcome!
One of the great all-time rivalries.
So aligned with the late 1978 Saturday game, with Dallas winning that one 37-10.
12 rookies were on the Cowboys they were called the Dirty Dozen
Thanks Mr Lilly 🏈🇺🇸 TCU
Interesting hearing the chat during the breaks. Brookshier seems to be in charge, asking the director Sandy Grossman for certain shots.

Where is the rest of the game tape😢
When Captain America led America’s Team and America was Great!
a much better time period for this country no doubt

Is this a special network broadcast? What's with all the commercial comments? I'm sure these were not a part of the original TV broadcast.
They always played 1st meeting in DC 2nd in Dallas when it really matters besides 1971 because the skins weren't supposed to be any good
