Dean is one of the most unique act I have seen in a long time in all these singing reality shows all around the world and I admit, I watch too many of them. I love the way he interpret the lyrics and how he performs them with his entire being, eyes, movements, voice... He will be an international star, there is no doubt about it.

So if you want to understand my comment, please listen to at least one of this singers/bands: Joe Cocker, Grateful Dead, Santana, Mountain, Janis Joplin, Crosby Stills & Nash, the Who, The Byrds, Jethro Tull, Joni Mitchel, Jeff Beck or if you prefer, any Australian singers/bands of the 60/70 and then you can make an informed judgement and your thumbs up ro down will mean something (I have at least 2 times the age of most of you, I know what I'm talking about!) Epic. He improves on every song he sings, good or bad. I can not stomach this song. I can not stop watching this version. Simply spectacular. An amazing talent, who stays true to himself, no matter what he is presented. What is overlooked, is that he is note perfect. He shades his songs like few can. His phrasing is unique and impeccable. An absolute joy to listen to. I hope and prey he comes to the states, so I can go to his show, night after night. Amazing.

I have watched/listened to thousands of competitors over the years and for the first time, l am weeping. Weeping over all the things the judges said to Dean, weeping because of Dean’s authenticity and decency and weeping because Dean is so achingly talented, sweet, and…..hot! There, I’ve said it.

He sorta reminds me of Jim Morrison, in a very good but scary way, when you see it in his eyes and sometimes the way he either sings or handles himself. I think that would be awesome to have Jim Morrison back in the world, he was taken way too soon from us. I wonder how Dean would sound singing some of his songs?
His delivery was flawless. Pitch, presentation, emotional impact. Spot on. Which is harder than it looks for a lot of artists because to get that feel and depth and need to move your mouth and facial muscles into the correct position which a LOT of people are afraid to do because they’re worried it might look silly or unattractive. Dean doesn’t do that. He goes in and does exactly what’s needed to inject that emotion regardless of how it may look. It’s one of the reasons I love him.

His singing is not the purity and strength of Reigan or Marlissa, but he has the personality, looks, and emotional draw to be a superstar and in fact is strongest contestant in that.
I like the old timer voice at the start and i love the way it sounded like he was hysterically crying with the crying lyric.I am sure he did this on purpose,this is art people.fantastic.
This is a tough song, if the other four acts sang this song, I don't think they would get 4 standing ovation. Pay attention to the other 9 songs, the best they got was 3 standing ovations, some got only one. Either way I like this version, the crowd was the loudest after this song. I enjoyed this old school. This was much better than his first song tonight. Good job Dean, good luck to the rest, they are going to need it.
People today they love to hear music which come from a macbook. This kind of guitarist, singer like him is remind me about prince. With me this is real music. Edm, house, trap or whatever it is just entertaiment.

I have always been a Roy Orbison fan and sang many of his songs as a young teen. I 'feel' Dean gave this song justice and sang it well. I grew up with in the roiling era of rock and when it had it's beginnings. The 60's and 70's has some amazing music and truly legendary performers. Dean ranks right there with them. I immediately resonated with him on his first audition and every performance since. I love seeing him stretch and explore. This only makes him more in my eyes. I really do not enjoy a lot of these "pop" songs, there is no meaning to them, no depth. Dean has depth. He reaches out to you when he performs. thanks Dean! This Canadian gal can't wait to buy your album too!
I will never in a million years understand how he came in second.!Ever. He’s got the holy trinity of talent. Voice, instrumental knowledge, and stage presence. Marlissa was great and epic talented but she didn’t play an instrument. She had very little stage presence, and her only skill is vocals. He was better than she was as an all around artist.
