Well, you have to realize in that part of the world, the cultural mix is so well spread out through out all the countries. His countrymen and women certainly wote in large numbers and ultimately will sway the final outcome. But regardless, in the US winning a talent show like X Factor does not always mean you have the biggest career. Some of our 4th place winners have gone out with giant career while the winner from that same year is not a distant memory. It is all a popularity content at that moment in time and then requires the show participants to do the heavy lifting required to have a career. Some can and some can't!!!

Love this version, he can sing anything so versatile and great to see a true artist instead of the typical karaoke singers you get. I too didnt like Dean from the beginning but looks can be very deceiving he is not only hugely talented he is so likeable and funny, seems a real sweetheart.

Comparisons that come to mind in the order they occurred to me; First, Adam Lambert - on sight with the hair and his jawline. While singing sympathy for the Devil - Jimmy Morrison, just the way he walks and moves.Then in that '"fly" black leather getup, he visually comes off a bit Elvis, really channels Jimmy Morrison, and Michael Hutchence... and now, watching this - his humour and the way he looks at people with a grin, really reminds me of Glen Campbell. On top of all this he plays guitar, really well. I've never seen someone so reminiscent of so many people, visually. Uncanny.
I also thought of Morrison and a tame Elvis. You were spot on, after all these years. I do hope Dean made it in the music scene-- going online right now to check him out.
Yeah, those 3 are very reliable and right at the top, good choices. I really like Marlisa because she's got great tone and a strong voice for someone so young ( And I'm a mom lol ) She won't win, but she's got potential.
If he wins or loses, Dean will still get a recording contract. He was voted #2 this week, but he is #1 in I tunes download this week. So if they go by who made money, "real" money, Dean is #1.
