I do not see how they will possibly be able to make enough of these. At the price I almost certainly must have 2 of them for "twin" and related bi-timbral patches and binaural stuff. Phenomenal demo.
I've got two on order, and loads of people that I've spoken to are getting at least two. Tempted to get 4 to do both binaural and bi-timbral at the same time. 😵💫
You could just buy a used prophet rev2 for not much more than 2 of these. That does bi timbral. One of these is a cheap polysynth but 2 doesn't really make financial sense.
@@uv77mc85 the cheapest I have seen 8 voice rev 2 desktops for is $1350 with a couple hundred more for 16 voice. For me personally a big draw would be having the settings for both layers (would have to be a "live" patch not just recalled) right there on the knobs in front of you. IMHO that is what could make the Super Gemini such a compelling synth among other things.

There aren't any tuning issues. It's very stable after about 10 minutes of warming up. You can choose between three settings how accurate the built in tuning function tunes the 8 voices. Another parameter is called "voice spread", simulating inaccuracy of the 1V per octave settings per voice. Amazing!
As if you listened to what I have to say ;-) Great synth, probably the best polyphonic synth you can get for the money. Show me any other great sounding 8 voice polyphonic fully analog synth for 389€ and I'll buy it.

I have 4 Behringer synths, the Poly D, the VC-340, the Deepmind 12, and a Neutron, which I use with a Moog Grandmother. I could make an educated guess, but it's always better to hear it from someone that has experience with the synth itself!
It sounds objectively good and in the prophet ballpark. Probably the best Poly Behringer has done until now. Though it still has that Behringer "liquid" characteristic on every sound. I tried the 600, own p5 rev4 and just bought the incredible Softube Model 80. (Best Poly vst ever made for me , it's 90% There) . For 400usd, if I want characteristic and organic sound I d go for the Dreadbox Nymphes (too bad the panel)
@@Bernd_Bruening I personally recognise it on every single synth from Behringer. I really can’t say what is that determines it. On the Behringer synths it feels like it doesn’t matter what you do, the tone has always the same “flavor” in the end , which is some kind of buzzy liquidity (don’t know how else to describe it ) . I have experienced the same with the prophet rev2 in comparison to the 6 and the 5. Rev2 keeps a quite uncharacteristic tone , doesn’t matter what you do . With the prophet 5 for example , simply by testing presets you feel like each preset is like a sweet spot of the instrument . So like very many sweet spots ,not the same with Behringer for me.

Actual question, is there nothing in the vst world in ableton or Logic Pro that does what this does? Or is more about the hands on experience? Because that’s my biggest pet peave with ableton is that I feel disconnected at times. But ya, is there a vst that can do what this does?
Thank you so much for this video, gets me by when I wait for my one from Thomann. I am currently in the UK. Thomann have been very unclear about what sort of power supply it comes with. Please may I ask you if your one came with a wall wart (psu integrated into the plug) or is it a laptop style “brick” with a dc wire going from brick to synth and a detachable mains lead going to mains wall socket? If it’s the latter, I can simply replace the standard mains lead with a UK one, but if it’s a wall wart, I’ll be stuck with a wobbly push-on adaptor, which I don’t want. Any clarity on this would be very helpful. Also please may I ask which country you’re in please? Many thanks. Liked and subscribed.

It's an extremely affordable heritage sound, can the pan mod be retro fitted or are we stuck with using external fx? B are slow to market but people are willing to wait, happy times for many...

I had some issues..my Pro800 just jumps out of its presets bank (for example I’m working on A67 (or P800..)it suddenly jumps to another bank..A99..I don’t get it..did I do something wrong or is my unit messed up? Mine arrived two days ago..thinking about returning it if it stays the same

It has got the polymod section, but the Prophet 5 and the Pro 600 are different synths soundwise. I need a bit more time to explore the Pro 800. Maybe I'm going to do a comparison with my P5 rev.3
It's great to check that Behringer finally has implemented a usable arpeggiator. The original by Gligli was terrible. Good move, Behringer! Now improve the LFO and the envelopes and the Pro-800 will be the synth of the decade.
I bought the synth from Thomann and received it yesterday. I haven't been a member of the beta test team and didnt work on any patches beforehand. I quickly went through the factory bank and decided to make a few custom sounds for my video. They won't be included.

I don't know of any pan mod for the Pro 800. Mono is not bad and when mixing a song much easier to handle than stereo signals.

Yes. Behringer releases in Europe first. The States won't see it until the fall unless you order from Thomanns in Europe.

Didn't have much time to check details, but afaik the performance settings are stored with the preset.

Don't get hung up on mono outputs
It’s mono but you can send it to a stereo effect like delay or reverb and it will really spread the sound out if that’s what you are looking for.

Wondering how this compares to a Deep Mind 12
I haven't got a Deepmind so can't compare. It's quite versatile and the overall sound is convincing.
deepmind is based on juno 60
For that first ripping lead were you running it through distortion or does the synth actually do that on its own?
@@billmcnelis5999 there is no additional distortion effect used. The Pro 800 is going straight from my mixing desk into the audio interface.

Stereo effects will fix that - or direct and effect panned separately. Personally I only have one or two stereo instruments in any mix.

Car and iphone speakers is for me the best way of recognizing good sounding oscillators.
