- The Behringer Pro-800 it’s a 8 voice polyphony analog synthesizer module.
Pro 800 is that based on inspired sound architecture from Sequential Prophet 600.
Hi guys, my name is Mitch and here’s my point of view about this product.
The whole point of this video is demonstrate, just how good and versatile this analog synthesizer module can sound.
All the sounds you hear in video are programmed from scratch by me.
Very few sounds are use been modified purchase from others users.
BY the way Ian not advertising my patches, the are nat for sale, I just using my patches as example of tru sonic possibilities of this synth.
Also, In recording I used very low gain of guitar effects pedals, but the main level of rom Pro-800 unit is about 90% dry.
As for TC -electronic pedal, I used tone print setting app to make my chorus similar sounding to Juno106 in stereo bur its not much of saturation.
Since the Pro-800 it’s modern recreation of the sound architecture of Prophet 600, it is also possible to easily reproduce sound of Prophet 5.
In my experience with Behringer Pro-800, I can also simulate many other convincing sounds of famous synthesizers from the past as well creating new,
In my view, the Behringer Pro-800 is fantastic little great sounding module, especially for the $ price.

My goal is just sharing my knowledge with other people about the music creation and about sound design.
For me personally, it’s not that important how close can sound to Prophet 600.
it’s on the extra bonus that this synth can sound so close to the real thing.
However, I always care about the end result. For me if we talk about reproductions of any kind it’s not about the name, product labels only the sound that I can achieve with whatever product I use or desire.
Here is my take on Behringer:
I have many other much more expensive great souring synthesizer from the others.
As for Behringer or any other product, I don't worship any of them I just prefer some of them over the others.
As for and you product or synthesizer, I simply prefer some products over the others can use them as needed to make it music.
Of course, don't agree with everything that Behringer does however, I like there prices and some of their products.
Just for the record I also don’t like clone or replicas terminology.
In my opinion the Behringer should start make the own synths, just like started with DeepMind 12.
If Behringer want to use term replica then they should be one-to-one copy executive same including circuitry insight because most of the product are not.
In my opinion Behringer should clarify the mean by replica means, right?
So far all the projects that Behringer released in my view, there are not clones.
For me, their products are just modern interpretation of version, that was inspired design whatever product they are after.

I am agree with you, firstall the Pro 800 sound I think it's like much more Prophet 5 Rev3 than Pro 600, becouse 3340 VCO and 3320 VCF clone there's inside.
Not Pro 600 components IC was replicated in Pro 800.
For this way it imitate the all synthesizers where 3340 VCO and 3320 VCF Cem was installed:
OB-Xa
OB-8
OB-SX
Elka Synthex (3320 VCF)
Crumar Spirit (3340 VCO) and many others synth used 3340 VCO.

I have the unit. Yeah, sounds very retro!
Did you've tried the latest FW? I'm not sure that mine is the last. I've found that Polymod depth is not deep enough. So I'm just hoping that they will fix it. It could be an option (with a multiplier). Sysex has at least one free value (I've checked) if not more (depends on the size they've chosen).

But I have the unit for about eight months now, and I didn’t discover any problems so fair.
I've been eyeing one of these for a little while now. I've been seeking the right companion for my DM12, I have that and I wanna get to a point where I have maybe 2 other synths and just work exclusively with those.
Hi there, I have the Behringer DM-12 snd made at same point I might make sound comparison,
In mean time,,Pro 800 8 voices, mono out and don't have any of FX,, plus sonically sounds closer to the Prophet 600/ Prophet 5 with I preferred.
If II nee to pick the winner, I preferred, as for only sound alone I will pick Pro-800.
As for Deep Mind 12 have12 voices of polyphony, Lcd screen and stereo out's.
But the bigger advantage of DM-12 is the bill in FX.
Biocide's they just sounds different, so to compassion will be hard.
With the DM-12 is passable create big pads and wider stereo feel and sounds closer to tone of Juno 106
The Pro 800 just sounds good and sounds closer to prophet-600 /5

It’s difficult to hear the synth behind the wall of chorus and reverb.

However, I stated in this video that level of effects are ver low.
Might be slightly more reverb than chorus however, both effects are extremely low.
So most of the signal i dry, and the corals are used as the custom-made using TonePrint app.
The chorus signal is extremely low so I don’t know how you hear in the wall of chorus there?
