Plz note that this is not a review. Just first impressions.
@@ShortCircuit eye of the beholder, buds!
ShortCircuit Still happy to know I’m not crazy and that thing is THICK.
I feel like pretty much all phones recently reached the point where I can go through my whole day without battery issues. So I don’t really want phones to get bigger batteries anymore, it’s just making the phone too thick for no reason.
If batteries get better, I want the phone to get thinner. I wouldn’t have said that a few years ago, but now I don’t really see a good reason to improve battery life anymore and let be honest, those few millimetres we accepted each year ended up adding pretty quick.
@@EnochLindeman I don't mind the thickness if it allows for a bigger battery. The weight could be an issue though.

After the 4x, you're gonna need greater distances so that the auto focus does not blur the objects closer to the lens than they should be. The house in this video was always on the same distance. I think because of that we were unable to view 10x and 100x zoom any more clearly. I'm just wondering.

Why haven't they use a stacked SIM tray? The phone seems thick enough to fit it in, so you can have 2 SIMs AND an SD card.
Do you really think at $1,400, Samsung will give you any more quality of life features? Nah, they just want your money at this point.
because their current sim tray they use currently works for 99.9% of users. And it doesn't cost them anything to keep the current without redesigning the layout.
We are getting to a point in technology where these phones cost more than my car
I just recently bought a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo in decent shape for $600 as a winter vehicle... Reliable transportation to work, or flagship cellphone... decisions... decisions...
Inb4 everyone calls you poor for that comment.
My phone did cost more than my car. I paid £879 for my S10+, (512GB ceramic), but only £500 for my Honda civic I bought 3 years ago.
Thing is, I bought my car to carshare with 3 colleagues, so I was only driving 1 in 4 journeys on a 4/2 shift pattern; once every 6 days and only a 40 min roundtrip at that.
So whereas my car sits parked unused 99% of the time, my phone gets significantly more use.

This first happened in 2012 with "Nikon CoolPix S800c" and "Samsung Galaxy Camera". Samsung made a whole bunch of those over the years, the NX with replaceable lenses, basically DSLR replacement phone hybrid, and several ones with retractable zoom lenses.
I maintain that they all have missed an interesting way to make a high quality optical zoom lens fit within a fairly narrow enclosure, without making it extend out, and funny thing is SONY and Nikon had already done cameras like that.
