You guys are the greatest, since you've grown all this stuff professionally AND done it all by hand, you offer the BEST POSSIBLE ADVICE on hand growing. I've bought a lot of seeds and supplies from you guys, and have followed your simple instructions to save time, and get unfailingly great crops every time!
Thanks for spreading the word. I had mono once and gargled with wheat grass. Within a few days I had more energy than I had had in years! I have wanted to grow this ever since. I now have the courage to do so. My husband says that I can grow it in blended newspaper. I just haven't done it yet.
After watching me struggle, everyone will listen to you. I made such a mess today in the kitchen manually juicing wheat grass. Well, I got it in the container and boy was it fresh!
This is a fantastic resource! Thank you so much and forget the naysayers, I'm notoriously bad at remembering to follow up on my sproutings in 24 hour increments and this worked for me.
What a great instructional video! Very informative and just amazing to watch the seeds sprout and grow. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I am going to get some wheat seeds to grow now. I'll try some other seeds just for variety. Take care and best wishes to you.
I had the same questions about the "baby blanket". I googled it, but PITA youtube won't let me post it. I found it on the "Sprout People" site. They sell it and will explain it's use Excellent video - Thanx so much for posting it!
very interesting and very usefuland amazingone. All will like it sure. Not only this interest I am going to become a wheat farmer in my area (Kerala,India) thank you
Great instruction! However it is important to note that if you don't grow the wheat grass without nutrient; your wheat grass will not have enough potency...it just looks good. If you are using this for wheat grass juice you have to use good soil and organic fertilizer as the base! Thank you!
I had a half gallon of 100% barely grass juice in the freezer for over a year.My son had a bad case of atheletes foot tried many different drugs with no relief. So I get an idea, I took the barley grass juice out of freezer thawed it had him soak his feet in it for thirty minutes for three nights storing in the freezer in between uses. The infected parts of his feet turned white after soaking, you could actually see where the fungus was well in short he was cured.if you have a skin problem try it.
I'm new to growing wheat grass and have watched this particular vid several times because it is SO useful. Plus, I adore this guy's sexy voice! My first lot of wheat is soaking ready for planting right now so fingers crossed for a great crop in 10 days time.
thrying to do this as a science project with the kiddos and yours is the only video they watched till the end without compaining that it is boring LOL. '24 hours later' and the timelapse at the end did it ;))) Thank you!!!! Wish somebody would answer all the questions in the comments, because I have tons also! Like.. can I juice the whole thing (roots and all), can I just blend it in my smoothie, can I regrow or discard these seeds? Thank you!
This is the best vid I've seen on growing wheat grass. Where do you get the baby blanket? Now I'm inspired to try to get a 6" crop. My first (and only) attempt yielded 4", and a cafeteria tray sized plot gave 2 oz juice. Not worth the effort. On to my second try....
Is the baby blanket stuff, coco coir mat? Also, what is the average height of harvestable wheatgrass 6"-10" ? You have taught me how to properly do sprouts and now wheatgrass! Thanks for the great vids, keep'm coming!
@ronbobathon As a prior farmer yes. They do pull nutrients. As soon as you see the roots they are capable of pulling nutrients. I was raised around only one medium, dirt. Its what's worked for the last few million years. I don't get starving them of light for the first few days. Other than to slow down growth or saturate the blades. Take it from me you are doing it right. The proof is in the color.
Yeah, I would like to know too, also how do you harvest it? Do you cut it all the way down or is it able to keep growing if you dont wholly destroy it?
I HAD psoriasis too but used this stuff from India called 777 oil after a shower to loosen off the dead skin then applied the 777 oil and laid in the sun for about 20-30 minutes. After about a week the lesions were definitively disappearing. Went from red to pink to white and then softening all the time. I mean it worked for me. So I promised to 'pay it forward' meaning the word. After the lesion disappears there is a mark for about 2 years (but the skin in healed) then that eventually goes away
According to what I read online, Gluten is found on the on the grain not the grass. "Gluten is a protein found in the grains of wheat, barley and rye." Found it at: livestrongdotcom. Hope this helps.
Awesome video would like to know where i could purchase the mats. Have checked the area there do not have any here and they have no clue what i am talking about.
If you're using a baby blanket aren't you missing out on nutrients from soil? I would like to grow without soil, but would I not need to add a liquid solution to the water to make up for what is lost from a good organic soil?
@popoymotmot it's recommend getting 2 harvests. further tries will have slightly different shades and it probably won't be as tender, also i don't think you will get the same volume as the 1st time. so i'm guessing you will have exhausted the seeds and nutrient levels will have dropped drastically.
OMG - I have been trying to grow it better for a bit and I have seen a bunch of videos. Not that you do it that different but its so minimal, I love it!!!! Best wheat grass video I've seen.
Can you benifet all the good stuff about wheatgrass if you don't use soil. also, can you grow them in the dark or in a room with no sunlight and still be ok?
What kind of store can I get those black trays from? I bought some online, but they are huge and I think the crop will be bad before I go through the whole thing. With that said, also- how long is it good for? Should it be refrigerated at any point?
Many seeds (most seeds) require a period of darkness in order to germinate. It simulates the seeds being planted underground and growing to emerge from the soil surface.
OMG, thoroughest videos ever for sprouting--thankyou!!! I've got to say, I think half the reason I enjoy these videos so much is because the narrator's voice sounds so much like Robert Downey Jr.'s voice in Sherlock Holmes. Haha. :)
I had a wheatgrass growing experience and i got some mold both growing on soil and baby blanket.(very frustrating after waiting 2 weeks!!) Any tips anyone as far as how many times do you water it so moisture doesn't accumulate after the sprouts are on the mediums in order to avoid mold? I dont know if its the weather in Fl that might not be helping... thanks! all the help is appreciated!
For anyone looking for seeds and growing medium - I got 1 lb of wheat seeds (it said about 15,000 seeds) and 4oz of water crystals (supposed to make 2 gallons of crystals once hydrated) for about $20 for everything on eBay.
PERFECT instructional video, just the right amount of redundancy. Nothing left to wonder, everything explained. Good job sprout person.
You answered EVERY question I had about growing my wheatgrass! Thanks! Great video!
Very clear instructions. Thank you!

This is a fantastic resource! Thank you so much and forget the naysayers, I'm notoriously bad at remembering to follow up on my sproutings in 24 hour increments and this worked for me.

Thank you so much. My husband and I loved it.

On to my second try....
Thank you for this video! I am so looking forward to grow my wheatgrass. Im sorry to bother but, here can I get wheat berries?
Is the baby blanket stuff, coco coir mat? Also, what is the average height of harvestable wheatgrass 6"-10" ? You have taught me how to properly do sprouts and now wheatgrass! Thanks for the great vids, keep'm coming!
Great video! Can you tell me where I can get the tray and baby blankets for this?
This video is amazing, very inspiring, thank you!

great video and very helpful thanks
Thank you for the video :)
so easy. Where can we get baby blanket? I have been using soil. This would be better for city living.
Awesome video would like to know where i could purchase the mats. Have checked the area there do not have any here and they have no clue what i am talking about.
Twwwwenty four hours later........Great video Mr 24! :)
Thanks. On to my new crop!
If you're using a baby blanket aren't you missing out on nutrients from soil? I would like to grow without soil, but would I not need to add a liquid solution to the water to make up for what is lost from a good organic soil?
Enjoyed the video, thanks!
After youve cut the wheatgrass, if u water it, will it grow back?
@popoymotmot it's recommend getting 2 harvests. further tries will have slightly different shades and it probably won't be as tender, also i don't think you will get the same volume as the 1st time. so i'm guessing you will have exhausted the seeds and nutrient levels will have dropped drastically.

Thank you so very much. I will be doing this.

Very nice video!!!
Can you benifet all the good stuff about wheatgrass if you don't use soil. also, can you grow them in the dark or in a room with no sunlight and still be ok?
@UKROB86 Good question, i was thinking the same thing.Surely the finished product is just water grass
What kind of store can I get those black trays from? I bought some online, but they are huge and I think the crop will be bad before I go through the whole thing.
With that said, also- how long is it good for? Should it be refrigerated at any point?
I just grew a large amount of it and was wondering what the white stuff growing in the grass was and if it is something I should worry about.
where does the grass get it's mineral content from? Surely it would be more nutrient dense if grown on/in organic soil?
How much wheatgrass juice should one drink per day? And how big area of wheatgrass is that amount?
Many seeds (most seeds) require a period of darkness in order to germinate. It simulates the seeds being planted underground and growing to emerge from the soil surface.

yeah hope we can get a link.
I don't care about grass but this is fun to watch. I Don't know why.
thank you very much for the info :-) next i have to learn how to make catnip
wheat gress good uploud thanks
Wheatgrass is really good for you and taste good to.
Thank You for the awesome video
If i re-harvest wheatgrass over and over again, will i be able to juice the same amount and the same number of nutrients as with the 1st harvest?
Can you please inform me on how long you need to grow to get more seeds to sow???
- great video.
I have a question... Can one re-use the baby blanket after harvesting once or twice? I mean can you clean the roots off and just use it again?
So I’m curious why I can’t just cut the grass when it starts to go pale, like mowing a lawn and it should continue to grow? Right? 😳
Super video! Thanks!
Where do you get all this stuff? Seeds, that little germination cup thing, those trays, etc...?
Awesome video, 11/10
When does the grass start to make it's own seeds or whatever to grow more grass?
Can you cut the top of the grass and let it keep growing, like yard grass?
Its great video. Thanks
I love this video. TY!
Is it possible to cut the grass and let it grow again and so on?
Great video dude... 2 thumbs up!! :D
I dont know if its the weather in Fl that might not be helping...
thanks! all the help is appreciated!
if you grow it without soil won't it lose the minerals and other nutrients that it would normally get from the soil?
For anyone looking for seeds and growing medium - I got 1 lb of wheat seeds (it said about 15,000 seeds) and 4oz of water crystals (supposed to make 2 gallons of crystals once hydrated) for about $20 for everything on eBay.
very well done - thank you
Hi, I am not using the sponge or baby stuff. When I put the vermiculite how deep should it be and do I put the seeds on it or bury it? Thanks
Kim
I'm currently growing wheatgrass.
