WOW! WOW! WOW! I must get back to growing wheat grass again for juicing. This is SO easier than how I use to do it. Thank you! So glad I found your channel!
OMG thank you for demonstrating every step of the daily germinating through the juicing process! This is the BEST video I have seen on the subject because of the detail and completeness! I'm on day 3 of my first batch of wheatgrass... so excited!
I use this like cat grass for my cat. it really helps her digestion. When I don't have cat grass for her to eat she consistently barfs on my carpet. So if you want your cat to stop throwing up all the time, keep a container of wheat grass growing for them.
Thanks Saeid, yours seemed to be one of the easiest and no-nonsense approaches to growing wheat grass. I'll definitely be able to do this and recruiting my vegan, clean living friend along with me! 😁👍🏻🌱✅
Thank you, you are a Gem to share with us. This is a definite for me. Used to sprout Wheat Grass years ago, though this method looks so easy and clean.
Back in the 70's, my mother used to sprout alfalfa in a glass jar with a piece of pantyhose or nylon stockings rubberbanded across the top. The nylon served as a strainer, so rinsing was very fast and easy, plus it kept out any bugs. I realise this is different from wheat; with alfalfa sprouts you eat the whole thing, whereas sprouted wheat you just cut the top part and puree it. But it seems to me like a much easier and simpler technique.
by far, the most sensible of all videos i found for growing wheatgrass without soil. will try this and i suggest to use unrefined seasalt - super diluted, to feed the plants hydroponically, for better nutrition...blessings to all
Brilliant!!!! I never thought of using a French coffee press to strain the juice!!! Also didn't realize I could sprout wheat grass without soil. Thank you heaps!!
To answer the question where to keep it, in open shade, by a sunny window, away from direct sun light. That's for everyday. To deal with mold, you have to completely drain the tray as I show in the video. If you live in a humid climate, water less. In dry climate, water a couple of times a day. On what to drink and what 2 throw away, the greem should be juiced as i the video. The rest can also be used for cooking.
Hi, I'm all for wheatgrass, since it was what saved a friends life almost 35 yrs ago after being told they had 3 days to live. This is an interesting technique but when you grow it without soil it hasn't been able to access any of the minerals which give it its power. I never buy Boost juices for this reason. Wheatgrass is complete in the amino acid chain and therefore, won't rob you of them as meat does being incomplete. For maximum benefit, combining fruits with wheatgrass isn't recommended either. It's okay if you have a great digestive system and you can eat just about anything, but for those who have issues it can cause fermentation of the negative type: different food types dissolve at various rates. You might want to consider the benefits of Alfalfa greens too. It's a plant which goes deep into the soil pulling up vital nutrients. Of course, you would want it to be organic. Cheers
Saeid. Thanks for the RUclips on how to grow "Wheat Sprouts". I bought some and did as your video said AND hey presto WoW they don't need soil THANKS also liked the RUclips on drilling holes in bottles as well cutting the bottles THANKS there's so Mutch to watch and learn ""Who Needs A TV"
Hi Terry, glad to hear it worked fore you. Yes, we haven't had a TV in about a decade now. Can't imagine us sitting in front of one letting them feed you what they want
Nice demonstration sir, now i have the idea on how to plant wheat without using soil. I have also planted Pechay seeds, on a foam to the top on an ice cream container, a week after the seed grows on the foam, without using a soil, under the foam is a plain water so that the moisture will provide water on the foam. now the pechay (spinach) is already 3 inches tall.
With humidity involved there is always the risk of mold. Mold does not flourish under circulatiing water or air. So make sure to rinse them 3 times a day (less in colder regions of the globe) A large sieve to cover them might be what you need, Ben Williams. Or leave them on the window shelf inside. Just make sure they stay moist and fresh.
Many nutrients come from the soil. I think serious research needs to be done into how this affects our food. Increasingly, we realize that neuro-degenerative diseases are because of a lack of nutrients in our foods. Dangerous stuff. Can we do without soil? Really important question.
do they need air circulating around them while they wait to sprout? Im sure something will eat them here if I leave them out on the bench, could I put another plate inverted on top as a barrier or do they need the air?
Thanks a lot. We used to grow wheat in soil as a ritual in childhood. And it grew well. But this method is new to me. Although we sprout other grains on a daily basis. Now please let me know if they will continue to grow more and more even after cutting them?
I loved the video. Did you say that you can trim the sprouts two times? It looks like you have the process down very well. Do you plant several dishes of seeds every few days so you can have sprouts whenever you want them?
It reminds me our new year ceremony. We always make one plate for our persian new year at 21th of March, first day of spring.we keep it untill day 13 and put it in water stream after. Also there is another traditional meal with wheat sprout It's name is SAMANOO. We grind wheath sprout before the green stem raise, because after that it will not more sweet. Squeeze and get the water .boil their water with flour wheat and stair constantly untill it get dark and dense like yogurt. It has a spacial sweety taste and is very usefull for bones and children and weak people
Yes, however since it is grass, you won't get the full benefits out of it. Our digestive tracks aren't long enough. You can chew on it and get all the juice out then spit it out, but juicing is definitely the best way.
Hi mate! Love the method, lot of experience ... it shows. I'm wondering though, regarding waste: why strain it? I usually just keep the wheat grass and chop it off and either chew or add to a meal as is, in order to prevent losing some goodies.. è;) Anyhow, thanks!
I thought it might be... I went to uni with a bunch of iranian folks a long time ago in France and they used to do that.. I miss those days.... my best friends! Going to google Samanoo.....

Very insightful video. This is the first video I have seen that grew grass on the same plate or growing material used for sprouting.
Thanks Saeid, yours seemed to be one of the easiest and no-nonsense approaches to growing wheat grass. I'll definitely be able to do this and recruiting my vegan, clean living friend along with me! 😁👍🏻🌱✅
Said. Man seriously I got the best education. Easy simple and to the point. Ove your work. Brilliant

+Saeid Momtahan I do have a question: when covered with the towel (days 4-6), do you wet them twice a day or more?
The towel needs to stay moist. So if you live in a dry climate as we do, you have to do it a few times a day
Wow Superb/healthy drink ,we will try ,thanx for sharing
Nicely explained.Thank you.
No unnecessary talk. 👍

what about residue? can it be used?
what are some examples of use of the brownish base part

Thanks for the informative video. Do we need to keep it in the sunlight day 1 onwards or it can be kept inside.
they don't need light to sprout but they need it afterwards.
I am trying this and the sprouts keep telling me...take us outside in the sun! Tomorrow I will take them
THANKS to you. You made my day, my life. I was wondering how to? There you are! you make it easy, cheap! Only patience? Bless you! We will try it.

Thanks for your video! My parrot really enjoyed it!!!!
Amazing!! Thank you, enjoyed this very much.
very nice can we use the grass. as spinach? cook the grass.?
Thank you so much for this information!
Blender and french press pot, LOVE IT!!
I would like to eat the whole thing! Grass + Seeds + Roots. Eat them all.
maybe the fiber is a problem in eating the whole grass not the juice of it

I think I might give this a try.
Thanks very much Mark, oops wrong account(-:

Very easy clear demonstration & thanks.
What nutrients feeds the wheat grass.
Monika Bruekner it is only present in water. soil is only for support.
Not sure what is the question about. The nutrients come from the seed itself, water is only there to it growing.

I've been using top soil to grow my wheatgrass. Think I'll give this method a try, would be far less messy!! Thanks.
Thank you so much... this is so good and easy... Bless you!!
I liked it. Tq for making this video and making environment green
Can I use this technique with sunflower sprouts?
yes
U can try and comment down if it works
Can you use cheesecloth
I’m not juicing
It’s just salad
Many thanks
I dont think so , wheat grass need 6-7 to grow and do you need 6-7 inch sunflower seed or grow full 7-8 feet plant ?
How r u
Thank you
It looks easy
I hope I can do it the same at home 🇮🇩
do they need air circulating around them while they wait to sprout? Im sure something will eat them here if I leave them out on the bench, could I put another plate inverted on top as a barrier or do they need the air?
very good and very helpful video
When the cloth gets dry, should I wet the cloth again or should I just leave it dry???
Wet the cloth

does the grass not lose out on anything by not being grown in soil, or having any other nutrients added to help growing?
a seed has all the nutrients it needs to nurture the germination thru the "sprout". That is the seeds purpose! so cool!!

I loved the video. Did you say that you can trim the sprouts two times? It looks like you have the process down very well. Do you plant several dishes of seeds every few days so you can have sprouts whenever you want them?
Personally, I think it's a good idea to consume the pulp as well as the juice :)
Thank you for sharing. Every other soil-less meathod I've seen includes the use of paper towel - something I dont buy.
Me too i don't get the thumbs down... this is incredibly helpful video

The thumbs down are from negative people: NOTHING is ok for them, always finding something negative in everything that is good.

you can also reuse collected rain water.it's better than tap water.inventive display!
Clip it once, then compost it or feed it to the chickens. After the first cutting, nutrition is very reduced.
Steve Smekar will the wheat grow if I don't have live chicken... I have some in the freezer though
wow... nature in our hands now... beautiful..
I am just wondering.. where will the wheat grass get the nutrients from if there is no soil!
WATER????
seed
Water n seed itself
Nice video on wheat sprouts

Can we simply eat the wheat grass instead of juicing it ?
Yes, however since it is grass, you won't get the full benefits out of it. Our digestive tracks aren't long enough. You can chew on it and get all the juice out then spit it out, but juicing is definitely the best way.
Ronnie Shirilla Thanks
+Prashant Vikal No humans can not digest wheat grass. It has to be chewed and spit out (pulp) juiced (best) I'm unsure of blending it (?)
MUCHAS GRACIAS POR ESA RECOMENDACIÓN Y TÉCNICA.... MIL BENDICIONES DESDE VENEZUELA....
Exelent video . How much time may we reuse the same grains?
3 times. After u have used it 3 times. Its time to grow them again
Really well done sir...

can you please tell how long do we have to keep it so it produces wheat again.

fantastic..please when do I have to show the wheatgrass to the sun light? days?

Is it possible to follow this same method with broccoli sprouts?
is sunlight important for the sprouts
Yes
are you talking from experience? if yes, we must be livin on different planets :) No. sprouts do not need sun to sprout.
They don't need light to sprout. But once they have sprouted they require light to grow green and make all the good nutrients you will eat.
yes I agree with luka
it doesn't need sunlight to sprout, but if u want to harvest it the 2nd or 3rd time, it is recommended you expose them to light.
Wow
