If you can't find toasted sesame seed paste you can use tahini which is a sesame seed paste and add some toasted sesame seed oil to it. Made it look easy can't wait to give it a whirl
Hello, great presentation, you make it sound so easy and inspiring, very grateful. Would like to ask, where did you get your tray from, I don't see any with large holes like yours, I would like to get one if you are able to share. Thank you so much
Hello, Since you are not using soil do we need some kind of nutrients to add to the microgreens because don't the plants get their minerals from the soil to be healthy . also, do we water it during the blackout period? How do we prevent mold when growing microgreens? thank you for any info
At some point plants will need nutrients to grow even bigger, but I think they can get pretty far without! I usually only grow sprouts, because I don’t want to deal with soil, but now that I’ve seen this I’m going to give it a go
You do not need nutrients. They have all they need in seed till they develop there 1st true sets of leaves and taproot. Sunlight and the nitrogen in air will suffice for 1st 10 days.
hello i am wondering if i am supposed to spray them between day 1-3 when they are germinating under the heavy weight. Do i leave them and not touch them or water them until theyre ready to be uncovered and set in the sun? Or do I spray them 2 times per day in days 1-3?
This supposed to be indoor. During the germination process, you keep it in the dark place, after you see the tiny yellow leaves then bring to the window area without covering.
LOVEE LOVEE this video! I'm currently working on my microgreens and this video came in very informative. Thank you. I also love the spring roll recipe. SOOO good!!!
You need to mention to use cold water when rinsing your seeds . Also cold water when soaking them. I found out that using room temperature or warm water will make the seeds rot.
@@KorinaRijeka , from the tap. I used room temperature water and it rotted out. They’re so packed in tight that they generated heat , so using room temp or warm water made them rot quicker. Use cold water, not freezing , but just cold tap water.

@@GloriaGlory-g2r does "I've had a couple of snacks" mean "I've had exactly two snacks" to you? Because to me "couple" means exactly the same as "some" here to me. Also words like "awesome", "terrific", "sick" all had negative meanings, but later got reinterpreted to mean positive things. Words DO change, and no amount of "I don't like change, grrr" on your part will stop the evolution of language. Grammar can change too, "I am become death" used to be grammatically correct in early modern English, that's no longer the case in contemporary English.
Hers has large holes, all the ones on her site has small holes, I've asked where did she find the large hole trays, so far she has not responded. Very disappointed.
@@sandraurbangardenno Sandra, these on this link are small holes not the large on your video. I hope you will clear this up honestly. Thank you, if so please let me. I've sent you several requests, but no response yet.
Question...do you keep them uncovered and in the light after day 3ish. I see others still weighing them down as they grow. My first time. I've been growing in jars but beets don't sprout in jars much. Thankyou.
Yes!! I am in Muscat, Oman n l got the sprouting jars from U.S. from my daughter but my brocolli sprouts n alfalfa sprouts ar grow n then become mushy. I have the cover with the jars but is it the humidity here that they are not growing???
While they germinate for 3 days in the dark are you spraying them on those 1st 3 days? Day 4-7 did you cover them or let them sit out on the counter uncovered and exposed to the elements?
Yes the day 1-3 you also need to spray twice a day. When you see the tiny yellow leaves growing , bring them out over the counter (uncovered) and continue to spray twice daily.
I enjoyed your video! I’ve been wanting to try to grow my own micro greens but one reason holding me back was not knowing what to do with them once I grew them. Seeing your rice paper wraps and sauce has inspired me. The sauce you made looks delicious but would you also please share recipes without sugar? I look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you.
Put a couple cups in the blender in the morning with yogurt, blueberries, or your fruit of choice and drink it. It's sooooo good and you will LOVE the peas. Peas are crunchy, delicious, and good on anything or just a handlful as a snack. Only cut them at the roots right before you eat them just o make the greens last longer! If you eat them a lot you will notice that you feel good, sleep good, and it helps overall health! So easy to grown! Almost in any container.

I think she just lifts the weight off and the top tray to spray the one underneath. I want to try this but in a smaller batch
You spray Everyday, from day one to harvest. Just take them out and spray and stack them back .

yes Twice a day

Sandra. I subscribed to LTK and your page. Can't figure out how to purchase the micro green kit.
Is the bad smell some people complain about a function of not changing the water out in the bottom plastic tray on a daily basis?
Any concern with the paper towel going moldy? I'm wondering if adding tea tree oil would prevent mold without hurting the plant.
Can you buy covers to keep the humidity up so you don't have to spray them as often if you're busy working and not home

Do the micro greens have the same nutrients as those grown in soil?

How do you store unused seeds please? How long can i keep the seeds? Do they sprout again after cutting? Or i make new ones again after cutting them?
seed packs will have expiration dates on them. unless it's something like wheatgrass they will not resprout, as you've cut the entire leaf system off.
Does it grow back after after you harvested them ? Or I havé to start another batch
I would start another batch to keep the sprouts fresh.

When do you stop stacking them/covering them? Is it after the yellow leaves appear or until they grow taller with green?
can everything be eaten considering that no soil has been used ?
