    Way back in the early '70s, I used a small amount of STP on a rubber stamp ink pad. I followed a former Marine on this step. You know, the Marines say, adapt & overcome! For me, it worked great. I have in stock Lee Case Lub spray and Lee Resing Lub in a tube. I know that Lee makes a fine product, But, I have had several stuck cases with said lubes. perhaps I used them wrong??? Correct me if I'm wrong! I'm gonna go back 55 years and use the STP. Giving it another try.

    I have been using this same process for case lube for about four years with excellent results... never had a stuck case or anything close. I process mostly range brass and some new 223/5.56, 9mm, 38 spec and 357 mag. I buy the Heet from Walmart for less than $7 a 4 pack and use Amazon for the lanolin. I will try my next lanolin order from Florida Sunshine. In my research I found a multitude of different mixing ratios and decided to use 1 oz of lanolin to one bottle of Heet...because it is easy to remember, easy to mix and is in the middle of many suggested mix ratios. It has worked perfectly over the years. The mixture never settles out or congeals and I am still using the same spray bottle that I started with but refilled many times. Thanks for the video.

      Awesome. Our local Walmart was sold out but if they have it you can save even more.

    I use a bottle of Heet to one ounce of landline. It works very well. I’ve found it kind of hard to get the inside of the necks lubed but if you shake em up in a bag or box , several sprays work. Also, let them sit and evaporate the alcohol for about 10 minutes. Works great.

    Squatch, if you use a little bit of mink oil it will act as a preservative and keep the lanolin from becoming rancid after sitting a while. Echo

    I use Lyman spay don't use a lot just a once over . on my 9mm in a box spray lid on and shake its just enough so the sizing die is smooth . a s I de-cap and size before I clean this way when loading you haven't got that extra force for the sizing die. I do give the case feed a wipe after and before I load them

    Okay...I don't usually comment on something like this but I will this time. This is just a heads up. This formula has been around more than 20 years. That said ISO HEAT has changed their formula a couple years back. I'm in several online forums and that's how I found out. The new formula has an ingredient that is supposed to be very toxic. I'm no chemist so I know nothing about this ingredient but it has been confirmed by several chemists. The MSDS for ISO HEAT gives some info on it but not all. Not at all trying to tell anyone what to do but I would look into this a lot deeper before I used it. I have and I've stopped. I now use 99% alcohol and lanolin. On another note I don't think you have 100% pure lanolin. It looks too runny to me. I buy mine on Amazon and it comes in a smaller bottle and is 100% PURE lanolin. What you have might be okay but I don't know what else is in it. It should be VERY THICK like molasses or cold pancake syrup. Again I'm just trying to help. They say that the stuff in todays ISO HEAT is really nasty for your health. Again I'm no chemist but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night 😆

    I just ordered 2 gallons of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and a pack of the Home Health liquid lanolin I think it was 6 / 6oz bottles to make some more case lube all of it I bought off of Amazon with free 2 day shipping. I normally make up 3 / 16oz spray bottles and had enough stuff to make several more batches and I think it was all around $40. Pretty much anyway you choose to make it it's all cheaper than buying it premade and a 16oz bottle last me a good while. I never seen that big bottle of liquid lanolin that would make it even cheaper for sure.

    • @DanielBoone337
      @DanielBoone337 3 года назад

      @@davidstubbs758 I don't use that I always use isopropyl alcohol mainly because it's a little cheaper, I can buy big quantities of it, and it works just as good as long as you buy 99.9%.

    Oneshot or this recipe for 9mm? And is it less sticky than using 99% alcohol recipe?

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  3 года назад +2

      I still prefer one shot on pistol rounds. This recipe does wipe off pretty easily and is not near as sticky as most.

    I came across this video from your 9mm coke bottle video, I have been making my own case lube w/ Lanolin & Alch for years but I am going to switch to your recipe. Do you use this to lube 9mm cases during loading? I would be hesitant of getting the powder contaminated in the cases, if so how do you remove it once the cases have been loaded? Thank you

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  Год назад

      I typically let them dry for about 20 minutes prior to loading. This solution wipes off easily. Sometimes I just throw them in a vibrating tumbler with con media to get them squeaky clean
