    Yet again a great video mr ideal as I'm having a problem with a ES 35 gas consumption incorrect on central heating its correct 24 kw 2.55 m3h but on max I'm only getting 2.2 m3h yet 19mbar inlet pressure checked benchmark and installer when new had the same readings boiler was just serviced only 6 years old any ideas new gas valve or should I do the test and check the micro amps . Cheers

    • @kevincranfield5235
      @kevincranfield5235 2 года назад +1

      If your doing it on service mode max in heating again getting 24kw, that is fine as it stays in max, if your suggesting that on hot water you can’t achieve the rating you require it may be because the heat ex has reached temperature and the thermistor is modulating it down, and if the boiler and all the outlets are functioning correctly I would not concern yourself too much, unless it is causing a problem.

    Makes a lot of sense. The MI's seldom give the correct solution. Most faults I attend have been dirty boilers due to lack of proper servicing by the big players. 10 minutes and £25 to the engineers is not a service.

    quick question, if the burner baffle was blocked, wouldn't gas rating show this as well?

    Would a blocked burner cause the gas rate to be low on maximum output and cause a droning noise on ignition?

    • @Dan83C
      @Dan83C 3 месяца назад

      Yeah it would. I’m a British Gas engineer. Every service on a pre mix burner had to be gas rated. If it was 10% below or 5% above the kw rating of the appliance then we’d have to investigate why. ANY kind of restriction of the gas - undersized gas pipe, blocked injector, burner would cause this.

  • @illuminate06
    @illuminate06 Месяц назад +1

    Ideal logic + heat 12 incomplete combustion on service low fire but fine on high. I striped serviced the boiler but same issue, it is also making a loud whistling and rumbling noise on low fire service mode. I flushed the heat exchanger, cleaned out the condense, cleaned the Venturi and injector but no luck. I changed the gas valve and also tried a new injector but still no luck. The next option is the the burner top unless anyone else has any ideas?

    3yr Old Ideal Logic Rumble at low Burn...
    Injector fully cleaned.
    Venturi tube cleaned.
    New Burner fitted.
    New Gas Valve fitted.
    Main Heat Exchanger Flushed through/Cleaned from above with Burner removed.
    ....and its still rumbling at low burn!
    After years of dealing with this issue on the Ideal Logic Range I've found it's basically Pot luck as to which of the above remedies the rumble at low burn but nothing has cured this one.
    I've found If you partially restrict the air flow through the venturi the rumble stops everytime

    • @kevincranfield5235
      @kevincranfield5235 2 года назад

      That wouldn’t work, the differences may be negligible on a gas rate. Also it may tell you that there is an issue with volume consumption but it would not tell you whether it was the burrner, injector, gas valve or even supply pipe. So a gas rate would not help sorry.
