Real life stories prove how easy it is to kill somebody and practically not get caught ever. Had he killed the girl as well, he would never have gotten caught.
My parents actually had a friend who was killed like this: no motive, just picked someone at random to kill. Edit: stop saying there's always a reason to kill, news is wrong, etc. There are scary, sick people out there that will kill at random and destroy lives. The friend I was referencing died in 2003. A man of 17 saw her in the crowd at a party and just decided "that one." He drugged her drink, did awful things and killed her brutally without remorse. Her brother died of grief and my parents still can't talk about it in detail to this day. Please stop acting like you know everything If you want to look at her case files, it was a large-scale case, even on global news. Google "Heather Carpenter Redding, CA murder"
@Sprinkles Cakebottom you just proved my point though they want to kill, they have a reason, want, or need to kill. It just doesn’t happen randomly there is build up.

"She was just there for no apparent reason" Listen, I get that you want to keep the grim details out so you don't trigger anyone, but let's not just lie here. We *know* why she was chained to a bed and it isn't to play monopoly.
No chains were used according to the reports. And no reports of any sexual crimes were reported either. And he never publicly confessed to having done anything. It’s no lie to report that. However, the reports of the crime do say something about the nature of the crime. They say he killed the father, broke in tied the girl and killed the mother. Shoved her in the trunk and imprisoned her in his house hiding her under his bed to 80 days. During that time he kept her in compliance via terror, and was confident she could be kept in place without any restraints. It was done via a process called learned helplessness, where when a creature is exposed to a stimulus like being punished for trying to escape, the creature eventually stops trying respond to that stimulus, like to attempt escape. In this case it was enough to keep her there 80 days. Now we see the prosecutors decline to charge him for kidnapping in order to avoid having her testify. All the more then if sexual crimes were involved. It’s consistent with the use of terror in holding her. She might still be to afraid or traumatized to even report anything about it at all.
The reason not to discuss whether or not she was raped is out of respect for her. She already suffered the immense trauma of having her parents murdered and then being kidnapped. She doesn’t need the whole world knowing about her sexual history, too.
@@evilsharkey8954 It could be. But it just wasn’t in the reports. And the declined to prosecute on even just the kidnapping charge to keep it away from her. I believe if he admitted to such crimes that’d be a matter of public record. The girls testimony to police. Harder to say. She was underage, but still you often find the info in some respect. Records of minors crimes are not freely available. Medical records are protected. I believe if they make a record it has to be retrievable though. But no record exists from looking it up. Which is totally inconsistent with how these crimes are usually committed.
@@chickenmonger123 No. It was reported. They just didn't want her to have to testify because it's extremely traumatic and he was already going away for life for both homicides. You can find it. He wanted to collect more girl slaves for the same purpose. Horrible.

I'm an MHT and see this a lot where I work. This is usually the cause of a preexisting mental health issue. People get admitted to our facility all the time because they suddenly have these uncontrollable impulses and either themselves or family usually want to be evaluated before they can act on any desires. Self- admittion/walk-ins are not uncommon and they're usually a clear sign that the person's issue is more likely mental health and not behavioral. This guy clearly needs help and definitely shouldn't be allowed to roam free.

That's mainly why I'm for death penalty. would bring alot of closure to put a round through his eyes disgust wouldn't last long after a few reminders, but it would help moving forward as it's a way for her to take back the power she lost when she couldn't help her parents.it seems barbaric but we are animals and do have tribalism functions in us that do serve a purpose.like vengeance that is truly just in nature and heart does good for us in terms of self ego.
And if not a round pressing the button for the injection also is doable, but the main factor is giving the highest level of control to the victim as thats one of the feelings considered worse then death, being helpless infront of a tradgy because we are so used to have a reasonable control over out lives.
@@thenukedgamer65 I would be for death penalty if I could trust the government to give it to the right people. Far too many innocent people have been killed using death penalty that I just can’t support it unless the system was 100% accurate. So I don’t.
@@anyalaASMR thing is that was more so for the past.now generally it's actually pretty accurate for things related to death penalty type crimes.like 1 general case is domestic terrorism and the bar set for that is pretty high.like you could shoot up a whole block with bullets and still not get the charge.also only for cut and dry cases.like some people are just evil, like we'd never think to put hilter in a psyche ward even though dude was a nut job.
The Hit or misspart of modern criminal justice is more so for things like robbery ect.modern dna testing just to good and it's really hard to get rid of all evidence.

The most dangerous ones are the ones you wouldn't expect too be the killer and that's terrifying.
This story isn't real btw, but yes that's very true. Blame people for that, and entertainment media. Hollywood and modern society think people like "tHe qUiEt kId", and movie "psychopaths" act like crazy sadists. So people generally think they can point out a killer or potential one. In reality quiet kids are nothing more than that and actual psychopaths behave more human than normal people do. They have to fake certain emotions and are incredibly charasmatic so they can be a little over the top. Because of that, actual psychopaths are the least suspected which is crazy to think about.

Please stop acting like you know everything
If you want to look at her case files, it was a large-scale case, even on global news. Google "Heather Carpenter Redding, CA murder"
There’s always a reason. I know the short fun Internet video told you otherwise but I can promise you there’s always a reason.
@Sprinkles Cakebottom you just proved my point though they want to kill, they have a reason, want, or need to kill. It just doesn’t happen randomly there is build up.

I dont think so
I remember seeing this on the news for a while and people kept thinking she killed her parents and ran off.
"She was just there for no apparent reason"
Listen, I get that you want to keep the grim details out so you don't trigger anyone, but let's not just lie here.
