@Dean Vennard i know. Its very cringe.
"WHAT DOES THIS GUY WANT?!"
if i were a betting man i'd say he wanted to know how to get to bells canyon
I don't know why he didn't just say, "Yeah, it's due South, keep walking and you'll get there" and then take off to the North himself. Probably next night he would hear "You lied, Bell's Canyon wasn't anywhere near there, so do you know how to get to Bell's Canyon or not?"
It said he had a map, why didn’t he look and just tell him how to get there. Bells canyon is a real place, maybe just help the dude out and he would stop stalking you!
@@stevanykitten6780 right?, I think he literally wanted to know where Bells Canyon, if he wanted to hurt him he would've done it easily , anyways I think matt was just scared of the whole situation, being alone in remote area and with someone stalking you can really get to your nerves.
@@stevanykitten6780I’m pretty sure belles canyon is haunted or has some backstory there about that
@@cole72plant37 Bells Canyon is in Arizona. Whatever it was was off by more than 2 states.
I don't know how anyone would go hiking/camping, by themselves in the deep wilderness without a gun. The Bell's Canyon story has stuck with me for a while.
That and being so far from the car...those two things combined made me want to yell at the moron....if not people fucking animals....
exactly, these nature lovers should know, yes being materialistic is painful, but just because you love nature, nature wont accept you in open arms, nature is real and real can be unpleasant, i wont go alone unless i have a side arm, 2 assault rifles around 500 ammo all in magazine, 2 grenades, 1 katana, a radio to send signal and communicate in case phone has no signal or battery, and a t-800 to protect me. 😂😂
@@jugg9140 What, no tank or Kevlar? 😂I get it though, I have a simpler solution....not going. Safety assured.
@@Aradriel exactly that's my thoughts, but i get why people go, it does feel wonderful, you can have total peace, but i will not go alone even so, i once went camping with my 3 friends, i just say yes without thinking much, but man when it starts to get dark and when i realized we were in the middle of a forest far away from civilization, man it is so scary, but man i have never seen stars so bright like that.
@@jugg9140 I get the appeal and understand how wonderful a little piece and quiet can be. And yes seeing all those stars would be nice. But instead of a camp in the middle of serial killer territory I'd much prefer something like a log cabin, you know something with much harder to break walls instead of some thin tent. :) Just in case I need to defend myself from an angry or bored bigfoot or cryptid or weirdo like a door salesmen. Lol.
If your camping in backwoods Washington: Always take several, durable, laminated maps depicting the best route from your rough location to Bell's Canyon and lay them out all around your campsite at night. Also, it wouldn't hurt to conceal a bear trap in the ashes of your campfire before going to bed.
hands down this is the best comment i have ever seen
The maps to belles canyon though XDDDD
Bell's Canyon dude should swipe right on the Blair Witch
I don’t wanna go camping ever! I don’t care if I’ve got the national guard with me, uh uh; I don’t deal with paranormal stuff. If I would’ve been Misty and my mom reached over to roll my window down, I would’ve reached over and put my hand on the gas pedal and floored it. She could’ve fussed me out but after that girl traveled 2-3 miles back the other way, you would’ve just been crazy to have stopped. I bet her mother regretted that decision.

Not really the daughter would she was yelling at her mom not to stop but that dumb bimbo still stopped lmao the mom would get everyone killed 😂
@@Deathangel12ish But then again she told her mom to go back to the random girl in the woods. I know if it was me and I saw some random kid out in the middle of the woods looking all creepy I wouldn’t have stopped at all 😂
I just looked into that story, there is a set of sisters that live close by that have grotesque faces (faceless) from birth that are adopted from the Ukraine.... They are rare defects, and 2 of the same in middle florida.
@inkheart ...Or they're those people who are driving by and save you just as the monster/psycho killer is catching up to you
The mom in the second story did the classic horror movie mistake of stopping next to a weird girl that traveled 2 miles faster than a car

My thoughts exactly! We
The first story reminds me of the University of Idaho murders. One of the roommates saw the killer but just assumed it was a guest of one of the other roommates. If someone is acting strange and is IN YOUR HOME, you should find out why.
I agree that you should find out why, but be very careful not to directly confront them unless you have the means and the will to fight if necessary. It's likely that the person would just attack you if asked directly why they are in your home. Probably the best option in the scenario in the story is to text the roommates as soon as she was in her room to ask who the guy on the couch was and if they don't respond quickly, call to ask, then if they say they don't know who it was, then call 911 immediately. The whole time though, it could be important not to be too loud on the phone so the intruder can't tell what your saying so they're not tipped off. If the cops show up without the intruder knowing they were going to be there, then there is a better chance of catching them.
Omg I thought I was the only one who thought of that instantly
I thought the same thing. Sl creepy
I wonder if Brian dude wrote it
This man has hundreds of videos and I've watched almost half of them in just over a week. What is my life and why is this content so fascinating?

Imagine Matt talking to a ranger, telling him about the strange guy that was stalking him and the ranger being like: "Yeah, that's Jed. He's a bit slow, so we have him helping tourists with getting to Bells Canyon. He can be a bit stubborn at times, but he goes away after he tells you how to get there."
🤣🤣🤣
Man that "bells Canyon" story !
One thing I love above most thing is life is to travel-camping on my motorbike across Europe.
Past year I toured The UK to reach Scotland for a few weeks and on my very last camp ground...
In the middle of nowhere-nothing I found a hill top overlooking a beautiful lake so I went to put up my tent on said hillside.
Nobody around, nothing, just a few sheep going on about their lives. Perfection.
And out of nowhere that story came back to mind and all evening, I could "imagine hearing" " Do you know how to get to Bells Canyon ? "
Fun times ! haha
And that's why you don't camp, especially in very isolated places. So addicted to this channel! Can't stop watching!

I swear it's the same story from paranormal witness 1st or 2nd season. But there was a 3rd person who was a foreign exchange student that was also with them sitting in the back seat. The actual victims told their story in that show.

The thing with camping alone is that your mind starts playing trick with you. So to the storytellers, this story may very well really had happened, yet it was just their mind diving into a panick attack because he was alone and in a dark forest.
I camp a lot, and it happens when I'm alone. If you're even with a dog, it will not happen because you can anchor to your companions and reason that it is indeed not real.
Once I was in Tolhuin Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The snow falling between these tall dark trees made it seem like there's someone walking towards me with this massive dog next to them. Only my experiences kept me from taking it out of proportion and making out that there was nothing there.
That night, though, I kept having nightmares that someone entered my cabin and beat me to death....Fun night.
Another time, I had a full-blown panick attack because I kept hearing "clicks" all around me and couldn't find where it was coming from. Probably an animal, yet to me it was the most horrific threatening thing. I started to run blindly in the damn jungle, which was so dangerous when it's so easy to get lost, there are snakes and dangerous spiders all over the place, and even the possibility of finding a jaguar.
So when camping alone, you'll have to understand this, and strain to shrug off your instincts. That's our primal selves not liking us to be alone in predator territory.
My story👆 is not a figment of anybody’s imagination. It really happened. And I still camped, but only in one of those that has a hundred people crammed into a campground. And now, (this was 30 years ago), not without a camper, thank you very much lol.
The clicks. I would have been terrified it was Predator.
Why even torture yourself by camping alone, then?
@@Lu-ql just because you go mad now and then does not mean it's all bad
I will camp alone too, even sleep in rest areas and parking lots when weather gets bad or too tired to go on. But I have dogs. Like mediums they are. Not much help if someone has a gun but very good with supernatural beings, meth heads or crazy drunks
I've heard these stories before, but this was the first time I looked up Bell's Canyon. Turns out a good handful of people between where this guy camped and where the actual trail is, and especially on the trail itself, that have met a very strange man. He often asks these weird, nonsense questions and can be either aggressive or indifferent. I fond the "animal noises" detail interesting, because there are a couple stories, one on a blog, that say the man had a dog with him, possibly for hunting.
When I was a kid we saw a creepy lady sitting in the grass next to a pretty desolate road. My friends dad cracked his window and went “you ok?”. She didn’t respond so he said “ok, well I got work in the morning so good luck” and drove away. Probably a great decision.
LMFAO Good on him 🤣
Hmm i wonder what happened to the creepy one after that, probably just sat there for all eternity looking creepy.
Good job dad lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe she was just meditating?
Did she know the way to Bell's Canyon?
I wasted 3 days trying to get directions from Matt. Douche wouldn’t tell me if he knew the route. I did end up finding Bells Canyon though and it was beautiful.

smh how unpolite
When I was a kid my family and I had a house that was on top of a mountain in my town that overlooked the whole town and had a long winding dirt road that led up to it.
In this town, there was a guy that was obsessed with my mom and would routinely come up to see her when my step dad wasn’t around and eventually my brother and I were made aware that this grown man was creeping my mom out and to watch for him. He was told by our family to not come around again and for awhile it seemed like he had let it go and we didn’t see him around for a couple weeks.
One night my mom went out with her friends and my brother was at a sleepover so it left me home alone on this mountain.
I was always scared in that house because it was secluded in the forest but our vehicles were in the driveway so it gave me some comfort knowing that it looked like we were all home.
I absolutely loved the horror genre so I watched horror movies on the scream channel and on this particular night I was watching twin peaks when a commercial came on that had a caption that read, now the nightmare begins or something of that sort.
As soon as that happened, the power went out.
I remember all I could hear as I was legs folded in front of the tv was my heart pounding in my throat from sheer terror and then what happened next froze me. I could see a shadow of a head on the wall coming from the corner of the window behind me that had been casted in from the moonlight. I slowly turned my neck over my shoulder and seen this guy looking in with his hands on the sides of his face as if he was peering in to the darkness inside trying to see me.
When I seen him, I didn’t jump because I was still frozen in fear. Instead, just as slowly as I turned my neck over my shoulder, I turned it back forward.
I then mustered up the courage after a few seconds to stand up. When I got to my feet, I ran to the porch, but my shoes on and ram down over the hill straight to my friends house. This story is one of many crazy ones that happened to me growing up. And btw, I told my family about it and he was confronted but nothing came of it that I can remember.
You're an excellent story teller. Normally I am very skeptical about the sort of stories you tell, so I don't tend to watch videos like this. But somehow you make these stories very captivating and I find myself coming back to them again and again. I like your no-nonsense approach and the fact that you don't try to explain these incidents as paranormal or otherwise. You just tell the story and let the viewer draw their own conclusions. Very effective. Thanks for your time preparing these videos!
MrBallen is easily my favourite story teller on RUclips. He doesn’t just read stories verbatim. He tells them in his own way.
Have you seen Bailey Sarian’s Murder Mystery and Make Up series? She tells true crime stories (while doing her make but pay no attention to that 😜) but she’s super engaging and funny as hell!

I cant believe Misty's mom was unresponsive to Misty. She had no care for her daughter's change in concern. I remembered my mom taking us to a carnival parade here in the Caribbean, and not too far from where we were standing , there was this drunk man and it looked as though a fight was going to happen in that crowd, and I immediately demanded that we go home because I was so scared something will happen in that crowd, and even though we had only reached there about 15 mins, my mom left immediately and we went home. I didn't have to cry and throw tantrums. I mom understood, because that was the kind of child I was, never liked to be around or near drunk people. If Misty intuition and drastic change of heart didn't convince her mom, well, it took a faceless girl to do it!

I'm from Washington states and we are all taught from a early age to not go out into the woods alone, and if you do go into the woods alone, never go off the beaten path and always make sure to be out of the woods before nightfall. And even the most hard core campers and wilderness explorers fallow this rule. Especially if it's anywhere in the mountains.

Those were all scary. The second story was a little hard to believe, but the other two were terrifying.
That first story of that man breaking into the college dorm room sounds oddly familiar like the Idaho College murder setup. I honestly wonder if that first story wasn't the very first attempt Kohberger made of trying to commit murders by breaking into a room and killing people but in this case he was caught and didn't know what to do and this initial break-in trained him for what he did in Idaho.
Misty's mom is one of those character in horror stories who always dies first over their stupidity.

I mean, I get memeing the whole dumb protagonist thing, but I can't really blame her. I mean, it's some girl who's on the side of the road crouching all alone in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure the thought of the possibility of a ghost crossed her mind, but if you're not superstitious, I really can't say there was enough there to truly believe it was supernatural. Yes it seems impossible for the girl to have gotten ahead of them on her own, but apart from that there was no other supernatural events. It was just a young girl in the fetal position on the side of the road. Imagine being in that car, especially as a mother, and choosing to abandon this lone girl on the side of the road just because you got the heeby jeebies.
"I just made cookies...?"
That Bell’s Canyon one was SO SCARY!!!!
I can’t even imagine how terrifying that was!
I find the Bells canyon story too be quite frightening and funny at the same time.
This one time i was lost in the woods, i had wondered off from my camp and couldn't find it again. Eventually i found a hiker who seemed pretty skilled but struggled to catch him up for help, eventually i found his camp at night but didn't want to disturb him in the night so sat outside and waited for morning. He startled me when i saw him staring at me through a small slit in his tent and i ran away scared but didn't want to go too far as he seemed to know where he was going. The next day when i caught him up again i asked for directions to Bells Canyon but he kept shining a torch in face while clutching a knife, this guy was real scary so i didn't want to approach him again but he was my only hope of finding a way out of the woods.
Yah.🤣
I´m glad u made it out of the woods. Some guys have no courage 😂
Epic twist.
Thankfully you found your way back 🤣
then you lost your mind and ran through his camp making animal sounds.
Imagine poor Matt finally seeing his car, running up to it and written on the windscreen is “ Do you know how to get to Bells Canyon ?” 😰
I thought Mr. Allen was going to say 'Matt jumped into his car, shed a tear of joy, went to turn the ignition key when all of a sudden, from the back seat came a voice "do you know how to get to Bells Canyon"', and then finally Matt's lights grow strangely dim!
I don't know whether I should flee or laugh. Honestly that would be funny. What stupidly random thing to ask someone, even out in the middle of nowhere. Come on Matt, don't be so fucking milquetoast...

How the hell is this guy following or finding Matt everywhere but can't find Bells effin Canyon?
Lmaoooooooo
That’s a good question 😂
Because it wasn't human. Think about it. Running through a dense forest at night without falling or hitting a tree face first. It was able to stay completely hidden during the day all day until whenever the hiker went to sleep. Only spoke one sentence. Skinwalker. I mean anything possible but it doesn't sound like a human to me. It could be and that's the simplest explanation of course but there us so so so much we do not know or understand about our own planet and reality that it's also just as possible it's some other creature/being we've only heard ghost stories about.
@@murderbner6760 That is not the simplest explanation....... it being a person is.

"Hey man, I didn't mean to scare you but I just really need a ride to bells canyon. I apologize for our encounter in the woods, I've been tripping on mushrooms the past few days and it destroyed my ability to communicate in social interactions. Anyways, think you could help me out?"

22:55 Dude, I'd be like yeah and I'd point to the opposite direction of my car. Ha! I kinda want a shirt that says "You know how to get to Bells Canyon?"
The Bell’s Canyon story would actually make for a great 80 min horror/psychological thriller haha
You’re right! That would make a terrific thriller. I’d watch it even knowing the end. It’s really terrifying. I was scared listening to him tell the story. No real weapon, no plan filed with anyone is not good odds to work with. He’s a very lucky soul to be alive. I’ve been rough camping but not without proper protection and letting people know where I’m going. That’s how people die.
Someone should go up to bells canyon. See if they find something there.
Isn’t bells canyon not even in Washington? I seen it’s in Utah
Apparently it’s in Kirkland, Arizona
Fucking terrifying

Misty's Mom is courageous at the wrong times. She's afraid to drive at night but is okay with picking up a random girl on the side of the road...makes sense lol
Especially one that can outrun a car.

@@rustyhowe3907 I know right? Nuts
Even when her daughter is terrified, she continues?.. idk I feel like Misty should have been driving... not sure why she let her mom drive at all tbh.
that sounds like someone who thinks a little girl is lost or might be in danger, so her conscience preventing her from running away, that is still dangerous though.
The second story hit me hard. I had a similar experience. I'm not one to believe in ghosts or aliens or whatnot. I hear the stories and can always (well almost) find some sort of explanation. Except for that one time.
I was driving to Savannah, GA from PA. My brother was in the passenger seat. We had gotten detoured from a shortcut we tried to take by a bridge being out. It was about 11PM and we were on a road with nothing but fields on each side as far as the eye could see. It was incredibly dark, there was no ambient light. Up ahead in the headlights I saw someone at the side of the road, and as I got closer I noticed it was a woman with scraggly blonde hair, in her early to mid 30s, wearing a beige or dirty white vintage style dress with red splotches on it. I slowed down because I got that gut feeling that this woman was in distress, but my brother said "keep driving", and I did, for a few seconds. I then did a three point turn to drive back, and as I did my brother said "don't bother man, she wasn't real". I heeded his advice and drove back in our original direction. About a mile ahead I saw a building with an outside light on and a police cruiser in the parking lot. I pulled in and waved down the cop, and told him about the woman and that I was concerned. He said that people see her on that stretch of road all the time and that she was, in fact, not real, that she had been murdered by her husband about 20 years before and those red blotches on her dress were blood. She had been stabbed to death.
I've tried, unsuccessfully of course, to explain this away over the years, but could never explain, how, without a hint from me, my brother saw the same thing I did at the exact same time. Since I passed her on his side of the car he got a better look, and said later that he could see through her, which is why he told me she wasn't real and to keep driving.
They did a paranormal witness of this encounter. Check it out
I know it makes for great horror stories but are people really that ignorant/arrogant to go into the wild without a gun? The mind boggles... 🤯😳
I love your awesome bard skills John 🤗

That last story was wild! I love some good backpacking trips, but *never* alone because of weird stuff like this. Soon as I set out for a backpacking trip I'm always two-deep at least. Day hikes alone are fine with me though, just not when that sun ain't shining

Hey @MrBallen, have you heard of the strange and mysterious staircases that are found in the middle of nowhere in the forests? I feel like you would be super interested in those stories and of course slay telling them. Thank you for your time making these videos and amazing storytelling! ❤️
That story is just a creepypasta from reddit.
Stranger Things.
The Bells canyon story had my heart pumping ! Damn, that had to be a terrifying experience. I would have to carry a gun or 3.
MrBallen: "...Matt was actually a very competent outdoorsman."

Competent maybe, but very irresponsible. Never head into wilderness without a planned route and letting family, friends, or rangers know what your route is.

I like how this guy can navigate perfectly through the woods at night with no light, manages to find Matt’s campsite no matter where he sets up, but yet can’t seem to work out how to get to bells canyon.
I believe that guy is not human but a skinwalker mimicking a human voice and form.
It's a demon.
Matt was probably just hallucinating because of his lack of sleep

Uhm yah, but it's and effing ghost that's asking you "u know how to get somewhere" you can't tell me you wouldn't scream and run away and stuff. Easy to say when nothing is happening to you at the moment.
"Understandable, have a nice day."
Yeah and then the ghost or demon would say “I know how to get there … I’ll take you” and then boom you’re dead ☠️
Are you finished with those errands?

People - when someone says they have a bad feeling about something, believe them! Don't be a Misty's mom!
@Yize Dai im curious too, do u think its real yize? Im usually a skeptic about things. I dont believe in religious stories and i spent most of my life not believing in ghosts. I had one very strange experience a few years ago and ever since ive gone back and forth. I dont understamd how something like this is possible, but im also haunted by my own experience.
@@Brandon-vg7pl do you mind sharing your experience? Even if something spooky happens, there's no way to know what it really is. Like if someday i see an apparition, that doesn't mean it's the soul of a dead person. It could be anything, including a trick or illusion. It could be someone behind an invisibility cloak with a dying battery lol
commenting cos i wanna know what the experience was
I appreciate all of you wanting to hear the story, but i wouldnt do it any justice. Its a bit cliche and id feel silly typing it all out. Im still not even sure that everything that happened wasnt somehow, just not real. It did open my close minded self to the possibilities though. Ever since, ive been listening in on paranormal stories. However, I cant get into the ghost hunter shows because they all seem exaggerated and sometimes staged. I also think psychics are charlatans. So there is really no confirmation for me. Sorry for the disappointment guys.
There's a reason that personal testimony is considered a poor form of evidence. Our brains have evolved to recognize patterns and see threats at the slightest provocation to keep us alive. For survival it's absolutely in your best interest to trust your instinct in the short term but your logic will serve you better once the adrenaline wears off ...

Oh my gosh listening to this in 2023 and that first story sent shivers down my spine as it resembled the Bryan kohbergers murders so much and I kept wondering is that how the last few moments of the 4 housemates lives were, really chilling story especially with the similarities to a current real life murder case
