If your camping in backwoods Washington: Always take several, durable, laminated maps depicting the best route from your rough location to Bell's Canyon and lay them out all around your campsite at night. Also, it wouldn't hurt to conceal a bear trap in the ashes of your campfire before going to bed.

The first story reminds me of the University of Idaho murders. One of the roommates saw the killer but just assumed it was a guest of one of the other roommates. If someone is acting strange and is IN YOUR HOME, you should find out why.

    • @Bowlfrog44
      @Bowlfrog44 8 месяцев назад +24

I agree that you should find out why, but be very careful not to directly confront them unless you have the means and the will to fight if necessary. It's likely that the person would just attack you if asked directly why they are in your home. Probably the best option in the scenario in the story is to text the roommates as soon as she was in her room to ask who the guy on the couch was and if they don't respond quickly, call to ask, then if they say they don't know who it was, then call 911 immediately. The whole time though, it could be important not to be too loud on the phone so the intruder can't tell what your saying so they're not tipped off. If the cops show up without the intruder knowing they were going to be there, then there is a better chance of catching them.

Man that "bells Canyon" story !
One thing I love above most thing is life is to travel-camping on my motorbike across Europe.
Past year I toured The UK to reach Scotland for a few weeks and on my very last camp ground...
In the middle of nowhere-nothing I found a hill top overlooking a beautiful lake so I went to put up my tent on said hillside.
Nobody around, nothing, just a few sheep going on about their lives. Perfection.
And out of nowhere that story came back to mind and all evening, I could "imagine hearing" " Do you know how to get to Bells Canyon ? "
    Fun times ! haha

The thing with camping alone is that your mind starts playing trick with you. So to the storytellers, this story may very well really had happened, yet it was just their mind diving into a panick attack because he was alone and in a dark forest.
I camp a lot, and it happens when I'm alone. If you're even with a dog, it will not happen because you can anchor to your companions and reason that it is indeed not real.
Once I was in Tolhuin Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The snow falling between these tall dark trees made it seem like there's someone walking towards me with this massive dog next to them. Only my experiences kept me from taking it out of proportion and making out that there was nothing there.
That night, though, I kept having nightmares that someone entered my cabin and beat me to death....Fun night.
Another time, I had a full-blown panick attack because I kept hearing "clicks" all around me and couldn't find where it was coming from. Probably an animal, yet to me it was the most horrific threatening thing. I started to run blindly in the damn jungle, which was so dangerous when it's so easy to get lost, there are snakes and dangerous spiders all over the place, and even the possibility of finding a jaguar.
So when camping alone, you'll have to understand this, and strain to shrug off your instincts. That's our primal selves not liking us to be alone in predator territory.

I've heard these stories before, but this was the first time I looked up Bell's Canyon. Turns out a good handful of people between where this guy camped and where the actual trail is, and especially on the trail itself, that have met a very strange man. He often asks these weird, nonsense questions and can be either aggressive or indifferent. I fond the "animal noises" detail interesting, because there are a couple stories, one on a blog, that say the man had a dog with him, possibly for hunting.

When I was a kid my family and I had a house that was on top of a mountain in my town that overlooked the whole town and had a long winding dirt road that led up to it.
In this town, there was a guy that was obsessed with my mom and would routinely come up to see her when my step dad wasn’t around and eventually my brother and I were made aware that this grown man was creeping my mom out and to watch for him. He was told by our family to not come around again and for awhile it seemed like he had let it go and we didn’t see him around for a couple weeks.
One night my mom went out with her friends and my brother was at a sleepover so it left me home alone on this mountain.
I was always scared in that house because it was secluded in the forest but our vehicles were in the driveway so it gave me some comfort knowing that it looked like we were all home.
I absolutely loved the horror genre so I watched horror movies on the scream channel and on this particular night I was watching twin peaks when a commercial came on that had a caption that read, now the nightmare begins or something of that sort.
As soon as that happened, the power went out.
I remember all I could hear as I was legs folded in front of the tv was my heart pounding in my throat from sheer terror and then what happened next froze me. I could see a shadow of a head on the wall coming from the corner of the window behind me that had been casted in from the moonlight. I slowly turned my neck over my shoulder and seen this guy looking in with his hands on the sides of his face as if he was peering in to the darkness inside trying to see me.
When I seen him, I didn’t jump because I was still frozen in fear. Instead, just as slowly as I turned my neck over my shoulder, I turned it back forward.
I then mustered up the courage after a few seconds to stand up. When I got to my feet, I ran to the porch, but my shoes on and ram down over the hill straight to my friends house. This story is one of many crazy ones that happened to me growing up. And btw, I told my family about it and he was confronted but nothing came of it that I can remember.

But somehow you make these stories very captivating and I find myself coming back to them again and again. I like your no-nonsense approach and the fact that you don't try to explain these incidents as paranormal or otherwise. You just tell the story and let the viewer draw their own conclusions. Very effective. Thanks for your time preparing these videos!

I cant believe Misty's mom was unresponsive to Misty. She had no care for her daughter's change in concern. I remembered my mom taking us to a carnival parade here in the Caribbean, and not too far from where we were standing , there was this drunk man and it looked as though a fight was going to happen in that crowd, and I immediately demanded that we go home because I was so scared something will happen in that crowd, and even though we had only reached there about 15 mins, my mom left immediately and we went home. I didn't have to cry and throw tantrums. I mom understood, because that was the kind of child I was, never liked to be around or near drunk people. If Misty intuition and drastic change of heart didn't convince her mom, well, it took a faceless girl to do it!

I'm sure the thought of the possibility of a ghost crossed her mind, but if you're not superstitious, I really can't say there was enough there to truly believe it was supernatural. Yes it seems impossible for the girl to have gotten ahead of them on her own, but apart from that there was no other supernatural events. It was just a young girl in the fetal position on the side of the road. Imagine being in that car, especially as a mother, and choosing to abandon this lone girl on the side of the road just because you got the heeby jeebies.

Because it wasn't human. Think about it. Running through a dense forest at night without falling or hitting a tree face first. It was able to stay completely hidden during the day all day until whenever the hiker went to sleep. Only spoke one sentence. Skinwalker. I mean anything possible but it doesn't sound like a human to me. It could be and that's the simplest explanation of course but there us so so so much we do not know or understand about our own planet and reality that it's also just as possible it's some other creature/being we've only heard ghost stories about.

The second story hit me hard. I had a similar experience. I'm not one to believe in ghosts or aliens or whatnot. I hear the stories and can always (well almost) find some sort of explanation. Except for that one time.
I was driving to Savannah, GA from PA. My brother was in the passenger seat. We had gotten detoured from a shortcut we tried to take by a bridge being out. It was about 11PM and we were on a road with nothing but fields on each side as far as the eye could see. It was incredibly dark, there was no ambient light. Up ahead in the headlights I saw someone at the side of the road, and as I got closer I noticed it was a woman with scraggly blonde hair, in her early to mid 30s, wearing a beige or dirty white vintage style dress with red splotches on it. I slowed down because I got that gut feeling that this woman was in distress, but my brother said "keep driving", and I did, for a few seconds. I then did a three point turn to drive back, and as I did my brother said "don't bother man, she wasn't real". I heeded his advice and drove back in our original direction. About a mile ahead I saw a building with an outside light on and a police cruiser in the parking lot. I pulled in and waved down the cop, and told him about the woman and that I was concerned. He said that people see her on that stretch of road all the time and that she was, in fact, not real, that she had been murdered by her husband about 20 years before and those red blotches on her dress were blood. She had been stabbed to death.
I've tried, unsuccessfully of course, to explain this away over the years, but could never explain, how, without a hint from me, my brother saw the same thing I did at the exact same time. Since I passed her on his side of the car he got a better look, and said later that he could see through her, which is why he told me she wasn't real and to keep driving.

In the last story, I kept expecting the guy to get to his hotel room, the phone starts ringing, he picks it up and a voice says "Do you know how to get to Bells Canyon?" LOL

Then he just says yes and the guy says "oh good because I got lost in the forest and I just wanted to talk to you about where I'm at but I would see you with a knife so I didn't really want to get near you"

Oh my gosh listening to this in 2023 and that first story sent shivers down my spine as it resembled the Bryan kohbergers murders so much and I kept wondering is that how the last few moments of the 4 housemates lives were, really chilling story especially with the similarities to a current real life murder case
