Why would u want this on Netflix 💀
That sleep paralysis story was terrifying. The part that made me feel so uneasy was his mom asking who was running around the house. I had chills all over my body
I peed my pants.
Pathetic 😂😂😂😂
I honestly think it's the mother pranking her kids for unknown reasons
@bj_cat103 hahah mommy stood on top of each of her kids in disguise😂😂
I suffer from them at times. Not so much now that I'm sober but it SUCKS lol

@@dfgmetal3624 This is true? So how does one know if they will ever be afflicted w/sleep paralysis?
@@marylyncorwin8934 You don't know if you will have Sleep Paralysis. It just happens. I've had it happen way too many times. Sometimes it's worse than other times. I wake up with the WORST most INTENSE feeling of fear I have ever felt!! My Psychiatrist had to prescribe me medicine that stops you from dreaming because of how often it was happening.
I've had it,it happens when I forget a certain medication, there was never anything supernatural going on but other people have had different experiences that are seemingly paranormal. I just haven't experienced any of that nut I'd sure like to avoid it
Things I learned from Mr Ballen:
- dont go to caves
- don't go diving
- don't go to forests
These stories are the perfect nature preservation tools, it keeps people out of the forests and beautiful wild places.
-dont live in houses
DON'T BE ALONE
- don’t exist

Story 3 has an update. A month after OP’s second encounter, the mom had an encounter in the guest room. She heard voices and footsteps, but she didn’t see the lady. She collected antiques, and believed that one of them caused this so she threw them out.
that actually explains it.. maybe one of them were possessed and hence the experience that they had..
Did throwing away the antiques work?

Holy cow, serious props to the guy in story one for keeping a cool head in that cave. Also, HOW DID HE NOT GET ONE BITE?? I hereby dub him: the "widow-whisperer."
Widow spiders (if that's even what kind of spiders he saw) aren't aggressive at all. They rarely bite humans, usually only as a last resort if they're being forcefully pinned against your skin and can't crawl away. I've never seen two widow spiders in the same place before, but I also don't go climbing into small deep underground holes like a crazy person.
Noooo shit. I'm not even bothered by spiders but that'd be rough. I'm also a climber and don't really understand why he couldn't just climb back up though
Because...it didn't happen
Black widows are loners, they actively kill other spiders
So at most they werent black widows

Haters gonna hate 🤣
Probably the like button
No point in trying to understand. The likes by far outnumber these stupid dislikes.
I think that the first few haters dislike to feel special and the others follow them like sheep.

As a sleep paralysis sufferer, I can vouch for the pure fear nathan was feeling.
In case it’s helpful, I heard you can make sleep paralysis less likely by not sleeping flat on your back. So prop yourself up quite a bit with pillows when sleeping.
I don’t know if it was the only solution, but it helped me after I had a bad continuous streak of sleep paralysis.
Sleep paralysis isn’t real , it’s a story invented by doctors and scientists to explain what they can’t explain.
I used to have it happen about once a year about 20 years ago. Went on for about 6 or 7 years. Absolute terror and sheer agony! Hasn't happened in quite some time and hopefully never does again. Not being able to move but being mentally awake while having an unnatural and overwhelming sense of dread and impending mortal doom is so fucking scary. I cannot find words for that sensation but obviously, you know already.
It's been a while but it used to happen to me a lot. Only a couple times did I have hallucinations and then they were mainly audible. Very scary though. Just not being able to move or speak.
During my highschool and college days, it happened to me almost every night. I had exactly similar experience like in this story but in my case it was a little gir, who happened to visit me multiple times and sits on my chest. Whenever I narrate my stories to my friends, I'm reminded of the giggling sound of the little girl and still gives me goosebumps to these days. I started sleeping on my sides and the occurrence has become less frequent. Moving toes + fingers and praying helps me in my case. It may well be related to genes since my dad and atleast 4 of my close male relatives also died while sleeping after experiencing sleep paralysis and my elder brother also experiences sleep paralysis.. but whenever I pray before i sleep, it never hardly happens. So for people experiencing sleep paralysis, i encourage you to pray even if you don't believe in it cos' it does helps.
Camping out in the Alaskan wilderness with your friends and having MrBallen as the campfire story teller would be the one of the coolest things ever.

My mom would have said shut the hell up and go to sleep
If anyone suffers sleep paralysis regularly, this may help:
As a teenager I would get sleep paralysis 3-4 nights a week and started to document and study it. The general gist of what I've learned is that the hallucinations are caused by a sort of feedback loop, i.e. waking up helpeless and paralyzed brings fear, the fear causes hallucinations, they then cause more fear, which causes the hallucinations to become more vivid, and so on and so on.
To fight sleep paralysis you have to prevent or break the loop. It seems the easiest way to do that is by just succumbing to/accepting the worst possible outcome. Tell yourself that yep, something is going to kill you, and that you don't care and to just get it over with already. Even better is if you can think of ways to mock or ridicule the situation. Tell your hallucinations (by thinking to yourself) that it's silly how long they're taking to harm you, or how cliche it all is, or compliment how their shadowy silhouette really brings out their glowing red eyes.
However you do it, you'll either wake up immediately, or the fear will at least subside until you wake up.
This is actually so interesting! Luckily I've never experienced sleep paralysis because it sounds absolutely terrifying 😨
I hope you got rid of it or at least experience it less!
True, this really works. The moment I feel I can't move and can't make a sound - I know that I need to just except anything that I will see, hear or feel for the next couple of seconds\minutes. And usually I either fall asleep or wake up fully very soon.
Just call out for Jesus

I think it’s the intricate details of Mr Ballen’s stories that pulls you in. He paints the picture of the story until you’re there. You’re under water, or in the room, or in the cave, or lost in the forest, etc. Scary as hell and fascinating at the same time.
That’s a really cool way to describe my stories, thank you!
I agree. He also clearly enjoys this material and that enjoyment is contagious
It's like when I read a book I dont see just words I see what's happening and even with his voice I can picture that
Hell yeah. With Mr B I find I’m often hearing new details to any number of stories I’ve previously heard elsewhere. He seems to sniff out all these extra bits of info like a truffle pig. I’m super appreciative. Dudes either making up additions to these stories {haha}, or, he’s one mighty fine little investigator & does his research well. 😁
Sometimes I gotta turn the cave diving stories off cause he's so vivid in his storytelling 😊. Love it!!
But then I turn them back on, cause he's so hot. Lolllll
The fact that MrBallen explains the layouts of houses so well just shows how invested he is in telling us these strange, dark and mysterious stories delivered in story format.
I just started watching Mr.Ballen channel last weej and im hooked. I watch it everyday now.
He is so good at explaining the layout to a house, I can literally see the house in my mind and it makes it 10x creepier
I agree. I think it's his prior military experience that taught him how to clearly explain a floor plan or building. It def helps enhance the story.

Black widow one is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever heard and I’ve been listening to the strange, dark, and mysterious over a year
Same here but that one I could've missed and avoid paranoia for the rest of the day...
Anything with spiders will terrify me more than anything else But!!! But the ocean, open/deep water or confined spaces comes a close second😳
I have suffered sleep paralysis twice. It’s quite freaky. It wasn’t as involved as this story, but the feeling of an ominous presence in the room other than yourself that is right on top of you and the inability to move is scary, especially the first time. The second time was less so because it wasn’t new and I could at least talk to myself in my head about it to diminish the experience.

Cool stories, wish me a happy Birthday, today I turn 70 years of age. I was up visiting mom at the nursing home yesterday, she wished me a happy birthday and gave me a hug, it was like old times. She is 95 and still going strong despite the 4 heart attacks she has suffered since Christmas.
So sorry that this birthday wish is late Jerry Ericsson. I hope you have many more wonderful happy birthday wishes from your mom. I’m 51 years old, but I feel 75-80. Hard life, lol. Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 have a great year 💓
That tour guide in the 1st story did him dirty 😂😂😂
OMG these stories are so terrifying! I also can't believe that some people have to put up with sleep paralysis on a regular basis. That literally sounds like torture!
I have a hypothesis for the multiple sleep paralysis episodes though. The content of the sleep paralysis episodes seem pretty typical, so it's not surprising to me that the siblings and even the mom had similar experiences. The fact that it happened for the siblings in the same room makes sense, because it's a guest room, so they might have a poorer sleep than in their own bed and it's unfamiliar, so it might lead the mind to conjure creepy things. The second time the son thought he had sleep paralysis might be explained by him sleep walking. That could explain why his mom heard someone walking around the house and how he felt different and like he had already been awake when he woke up.
"just one more.." - me every evening. Your videos are so addictive, I cant stop watching 😅

Respect to Evan's dad in the 2nd story for actually believing him when he said there was someone on the property!
It’s probably due to the kids respecting the dad and not lying.
@@nursekimmie77 Young kids 'lie' they don't do it out of malice or disrespect they just don't completely understand the difference between their imagination and reality yet, or they assume who they are talking to are into the 'play time' of the story they are sharing.
It was about time someone came out with a firearm in his stories lol all this time I’m like… no one has a weapon?? Ever?? Maybe this is why they find themselves in these weird situations. Like Bells Canyon story…

@@XBrandonLeeX765 wait I am really curious, when you have sleep paralysis are you awake or asleep. Do you see stuff like the dude in the story?
@@ma-pf9lx I’ve had sleep paralysis since I was 7 years old. When I was a kid it started with violent animations of sorts. As I got older they became very demonic related. Watch the documentary “The nightmare” by Rodney Ascher. That pretty much sums it all completely. That documentary really answered a lot of my doubts. During sleep paralysis, you’re halfway in the process of between sleep & still being awake.
I got major goosebumps when he said she charged into his room on all fours.. Truly disgusting. If that happened to me, I would have shat myself to death.

@@vladxful can you tell more about what happened? I understand if you don't want to talk about it.
@Kermit Peanut yes, those 3 people's experience was definitely paranormal
@@bugsybugs2253 My experience wasn't paranormal like the experience of the persons from this video, it was just sleeping paralysis
A few years ago, in my last year of high school, my family left to the UK and I was left alone in my home country, Romania
And tbh I think I myself attracted the sleeping paralysis experiences because I was always thinking that I don't want any of that shit to happen to me 😂
It was a night in the first two weeks I started living alone. I fell asleep with the lights on. I opened my eyes, noticed everything in the room, the fact that the bedroom door was open and that I forgot to turn off the lights. When I wanted to switch off the lights I realised I couldn't move and I said to myself "fuck, it's happening again, but this time I'm alone" and I was just waiting for something to happen, when suddenly I started hearing slow footsteps in the living room
And the way my house is built is when you enter the house there is a small hallway which has a door on the right hand side that leads to the kitchen and a door in front of you that leads to the living room. Then the hallway goes to left, you walk for like 3 steps and then there's the two doors of the two bedrooms we have in front of you. One to your left, one to your right. I was sleeping in the one on the left, which was a smaller room and was easier to warm up, hence why I was sleeping there.
So I'm hearing footsteps, noises and voices I couldn't understand and I was extremely pissed because I couldn't move.
I was trying to lift my head up and I finally managed to support my head against the wall and all of a sudden I could move again.
I thought I wasn't dreaming anymore so I just got up to see what's going on.
I'm looking down the hallway, which was really dark and see a sort of a waving white sheet / towel thing coming out of the living room, so it was on my left hand side.
And then I see the head of a woman with long dark hair covering her face coming out of the living room slowly, kind of emerging from the waving sheet. Her face was heading the ceiling.
She jumps aggressively on the floor, on all her fours, but her front part of the body so to say, meaning her face and her chest, were facing the ceiling. And she was staring at me. She was dressed in a long white dress. As soon as she jumped on the floor she started screaming and sprinting towards me.
She almost got to me, but I closed the door right in her face and she was trying to jump against the door and push me, she was scratching the door and bumping in to the door with her head I think.
I remember staying against the door and being like "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON"
And then I finally woke up.
I was in the exact same position I had the sleeping paralysis. Everything was the same, lights turned on, opened door, dark hallway.
I was just staying in bed and I was thinking that maybe I should shut the door, but then I was like "Nah, fuck it, it was just an annoying nightmare that interrupted my sleep, so I'll head back to sleep" and that's what I did
I've had many sleeping paralysis during the past 4 years I think and now I know how to control it and haven't had any for more than half an year now. Once you know how to control yourself you couldn't care less about what is going on in the room while you can't move
That's how I feel about it at least
When I had sleep paralysis it was a tall man with a hat standing in the corner. Something was pressing down on my chest but it wasn’t him.
Thanks for including the measurement conversions! You and your team think of everything 😊
I've experienced sleep paralysis many, many times over the years, especially when I was younger. I grew up in a very abusive and traumatic childhood/family and it seemed after a particularly violent parental explosion, I would have these sleep paralysis moments. They were so real, but it involved all the elements that were touched upon. An inability to move, to scream, or to even protect myself or escape. Something/someone was always chasing me or in my face and the fear I felt, even with just remembering, is still palpable. I don't know why or remember when these nightmares ended, but it took many years. I've come to believe that it was my brains way of dealing with so much chaos; and as a child, horror. There are so many things we still don't know about when it comes to the human body, brain and psyche, and our ability to metabolize each and every experience, good or bad. Each one, leaving an indelible mark on whom and what we are and the foundation we begin with, all of it building blocks, for who and what we ultimately become, as human beings. He definitely keeps you listening mostly because so many of us can relate, in some form or fashion, to fear and the lasting effects this fear has upon each and every one of us. Some of us never able to overcome the lasting effects, of this trauma.

Please do more scary stories ! I’ve watched every single one of your videos lol I hate waiting every week for a story I wish you posted more 😭 so sometimes I just go back rewatch stories I’ve already heard
I have listed to MrBallen all day at work, the ride home & now on the couch..I can't seem to stop listening..even my daughter walked in from school and asked was that MrBallen sharing another story.
Thanks a lot for that third story, I wasn't planning on sleeping for the next week anyway...
Ugh, I know. I hate sleep paralysis and I'm afraid this is going to like.. trigger it for tonight. No thank you.
@@Crackpot_Astronaut Could be wrong, but I think sleep paralysis comes from or is a lot more likely to happen if you have a messed up sleep schedule or are stressed out. Thus, not sleeping for the next week would make you more likely to experience it. People worry about that a lot when trying to learn lucid dreaming. I only experienced it twice I think and my method which worked well was just closing my eyes and going back to sleep. Both incidents were at times when my sleep schedule was extra screwed up because I was stressing about classes etc. Also people complained about lucid nightmares, but that never made sense to me because how can you be scared of something you know is not real. I have had many nightmares turn from fear to peace the moment I realized it was just a dream. I always struggled to manipulate my dream world when lucid, but the monsters just wouldn’t be a threat anymore. Having a good sleep schedule should help avoid sleep paralysis and conversely improve your chances of lucid dreaming among other benefits. Keeping a diligent dream journal helps too, but I ain’t got time for that anymore so I don’t have too many lucid dreams anymore.
I had sleep paralysis once. It was after an MDMA binge and I messed up my sleep completely. There was a dark shadowy figure in the left corner of my room that approached the left corner of my bed. It towered over me. For that moment, adrenaline surged through my body, my heart was pounding, and I had a moment of panic. I managed to look across my bed and saw my vacuum cleaner hose messily coiled up across my body on top of the blankets. As soon as I saw that I knew I was experiencing sleep paralysis and my panic subsided though my heart was still pounding and I still had that adrenaline in me. The shadowy figure continued to tower over me at the foot of my bed, not really doing much of anything else and eventually it disappeared and I was able to move. It was both a terrifying and neat experience lol
@@MrNoName7474 Sounds like a lot of BS because you can't find a person with a more messed up sleep schedule than me and I *don't* have sleep paralysis, even though I had it when I had a much better schedule long in the past. I also did try lucid dreaming and sometime even created worlds in dreams. I'm visited by a lot of scary figures in dreams, though. Just today two ghostly girls and a woman in red that promised I won't live the day to reach the door whatever I do, oh well
Oh no I just started the video then I read this maybe I won't listen to all of it

I have never had to stop a story telling before because I got scared. Congratulations Mr.Ballin. Your top story had me noping out of there so fast. 😂
That story of the women in black with the veil really resonated with me. I had a horrible experience when I was in seventh grade down in eureka California. I went to bed was asleep. In my dream I was standing on a long dark road and it was all wet and the only light was one street light. But then I hear rain along with footsteps coming closer and as I stared out I could see this women in black with a lacy cover veil walking slowly toward me. I couldn't move I couldn't talk. As she gets closer the rain gets closer, then she stops about six feet from me. She looks to the side like she's looking behind me, at that point I was able to move. I turned my head to see what she was looking at. There was a child sitting in a puddle behind me. When I looked back she was face to face maybe two inches from my face, her veil was lifted. But her face was pale and her eyes were pure white and wide. I immediately woke and was looking around and saw I was back in my room. It was pouring rain outside, so I kinda chalked up my brain hearing outside sounds and producing that dream. A year later, I'm in eighth grade and I'm at a sleepover. We r sharing stories, I didn't have any good ghost stories to share, so instead I shared my dream experience. One of the girls stopped me and said that wasn't a dream that was la llorona. I asked her who or what's that. That's when she proceeded to tell me the story and legend of la llorona. After that, I did so much research into this. The fact that so many people in different ways, areas, times, all up and down California have had experience way too similar, I'm inclined to believe that my experience was seeing la llorona.
“In order to better understand what happens to Nathan over the stay at his mother’s house, you need to understand a basic layout of her house.”
Me: Oh hell, it’s about to get real...
That’s his seal training coming out...detailing his layout of how he’s going to take out the creepy crouching lady
Guy outside the house: "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GET TO BELL'S CANYON?"
Poor guy, nobody would tell him the way to Bell's Canyon. But at least he's no longer alone, got himself a partner.

You deserve everything, thank you for existing Mr. Ballen
Everybody gangsta until the mom hears the sleep paralysis demon too.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DOGS IN THE SECOND STORY??? WHY DOES NOBODY CARE ABOUT THE DOGS
Sleep paralysis is no joke. My dad used to have it pretty regularly when I was a kid and he used to describe a black figure who would climb on his bed. It’s either something that our brains make up in a certain mode of sleep or it’s a glimps into another realm. Either way, it’s terrifying.
I'm inclined to agree with you 👍🏼
I've had it as well, black figures do what they want when it happens, and you have no control to move.
I once experienced sleep paralysis with one of those tall fans right next to my bed--I was CONVINCED the fan was some demon pulling me in but I couldn't grip the covers to stay in place bc I was frozen... even the sound of the fan sounded like demons screaming and laughing. Not my only sleep paralysis episode but probably the scariest bc I couldn't get out of it for what seemed like forever
I had sleep paralysis 2 nights in the same week just recently and the one time it was humping me then it tried to choke me and I also experienced it coming over to my bed and laying on top of me I just remember trying to act like I was sleeping which is not a good thing to do
its a jinn Al kaboos
Nathan at 12:48 with the sleep paralysis! I have had it most of my life regularly. It is terrible and never gets better. I’ve had it a dozen times a month since I was a child. If anyone ever has it try to remember just blink as fast as you can since you can’t move anything else you will wake up eventually!
Really appreciate these strange stories rather than murders. Everyone covers murders; Mr Ballen’s story telling is wasted on murders.

The sleep paralysis story should be turned into a scary movie. The camera thing and the footsteps were so scary.

I get sleep paralysis all from 5+ times in a night/day to a few times per month, and I absolutely recognise the type of experiences you're mentioning!
It's been so many years now that I could make a whole book out of it haha.
The feeling of "terror" doesn't really go away though even though I'm sure exactly what's happening - everytime you get your flight mode initiated and still think "I am in danger".
But it's really great as a gateway to lucid dreaming if I'm lucky!
one thing about sleep paralysis as someone who has it is you also can't scream during it, you can't talk at all

Funny. I had a hard time believing the cave story. I don’t think black widows are that gregarious, or adventurous to leave the web and climb into the guy’s pack.
Brown recluses would go in the pack, but still aren’t (per the name) gregarious.

Imagine being the father that was just told by their son that some mysterious intruder charged directly at him full speed in the middle of the night from the forest and just being like: "Alright son, if you see him again just give me a hollar 😎👍" and then going back to sleep.
