My neighborhood barber was just arrested for selling drugs it’s crazy how I’ve been his customer for 2 years and never knew he was a barber

Just go to show you, you never really know people. All the time your going to this guy and he's cutting hair at night, Scarry !
You think they found ALL his pot?
Oooh I get it! Lol good one. Now where did I put my lighter?! 🔥
"A rock fell off a tree." Yes, the rare rock tree sheds its rocks when nervous campers are in the area.
Love your comment! Not being a camper, I've never met a rare rock tree!
@@corneliawissing7950 same hopefully I never see one of those tho.
@@emilianodelosreyes2203 Wonder what size and weight that tree grows it rocks to? If they're square one could build a wall around the tree ...
This literally made me laugh out loud 🤣🤣
The closest thing falling out of a tree that would resemble the sound of a rock would be a chestnut. acorn .walnut maybe crabapple and so on.
As a non-native speaker who watches sometimes English videos, I would like to thank you for the clear pronunciation and pleasant speaking speed. Your videos are the only ones I can watch without subtitles 😄
I’ve hiked at the Superstition Mountains before. That area has rattle snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, mountain lions…the fact that some dude was walking around the mountains at night in complete darkness just shows how crazy he was. Luckily Sam made the right choice and didn’t go after his flashlight!
Yup… but there’s no big dark forest.
@@XenusMama There are riparian forests in the canyons with ponderosas.
Do you remember the mining camp restaurant at the base? Did you ever eat there? Also that mountain has always freaked me out there is supposed to be lost gold out there somewhere
Tarantulas are pretty much completely harmless to people.
Dont u think that if something could steal his fleshlight it could kill him while he was asleep? I know its obvious fake but i like that kind of stories.
The thought of a human stalking a lone camper is 10x more frightening than being stalked by a bear or mountain lion.
I agree
Uh what?
@@worldisfilledb being stalked by a human is scarier than a bear or cougar. His comment was self explanatory

Lol

oh my gosh, i can’t believe how smart sam is! i would never of thought moving the flashlight was a trick! i would’ve died instantly.
Seems pretty stupid to set up a trap for someone who’s asleep and the first step of your master plan is to steal their flashlight that’s right next to them. If they wanted to harm him they could have when he was wrapped up in a sleeping bag asleep.
Why one would go backpacking without a firearm is beyond me. I even take mine hiking. I don't want to be lunch or the victim of a psycho. 😂

I'm thinking that I'm likely to never go camping alone again. My new goal in life: Do not do anything that will get me featured in a Mr. Ballen story in the future.

When I was 5 a man attempted to kidnap me from the front yard of our home. Even as a 5 year old I knew this man was going to try to harm me and I was able to get away. Now, at age 66 I have a very clear memory of this man, his appearance, car, time of day. If he stood in a line up I could pick him out. Always trust your instincts. Trust your fear.
Im 77 and had a similar experience when i was about 8. The man was probably a college student and spoke to me with an accent i couldent understand. You and i were lucky and smart. I think of him often and wonder what he was saying to me. There was no one outside in any direction and it was winter so windows and doors were closed. I ran to nearest house and pounded on the door. When i looked back he was gone. He had been running toward me. I guess if u survive u have a purpose.

As a graveyard shift security officer posted at an open train station, I’ve had one of these unnerving feelings. Funny enough I was listening to MrBallen at the time, but the unsettling feeling would not go away. After my patrol routine, I would just post up in a spot I can see 80% of the site, but my back was faced towards the side street. On the other side were a couple small businesses with gated security and beyond the gates was pitch darkness. I’ve never felt anything like it in the 3 years I worked there, it just happened randomly and was just on edge the rest of the night. Thanks to this video in particular, I will always look over my shoulder when feel uneasy.
I worked the graveyatd shift alone in C-stores for 8 years. I learned the hard way to ALWAYS listen to your instincts. I got lucky as cops showed up before anything happened, but.....

The biological phenomenon when knowing someone is watching you is known as “gaze detection” or “gaze perception”, neurological studies have found that when you have the feeling you’re being watched, those brain cells telling you that are very very precise, always trust that feeling

then why do I feel like I'm being watched every time I watch these videos 😂
@@ellasimmons5946 probably your brain over thinking whats being told in these stories 😂
Actually there is a electromagnetic grid that envelops all of us that we cannot see naturally.... And since our mind is electrical we can actually tap into this grid.... That's why when you feel someone that has bad intentions towards you that's because we are all connected on that electromagnetic grid... And if you don't believe me that's how lightning tracks you it literally pulls up your bioelectrical energy up towards the sky then it connects with a circuit of your bioenergy and then you get struck.... Everything in our world is made of energy anybody with the most basic understanding of physics should know this.... So when someone sees you and has bad intentions toward you you're going to pick this up.... Some people will call it psychic energy other people will call it esp but all it really is is natural electromagnetic energy that envelops your body and connects you to the surrounding energies.... That's why you get literally like a spidey sense is tingling sensation.... And paranoia is an unreasonable and ridiculous fear so for example paranoia would be thinking that Napoleon is out in the darkness and he's got a cannon and he's pointing it at you.... That is paranoia.... It's an unreasonable unnatural fear....getting the feeling that you're stalked is not unreasonable or unnatural....

Lesson I've learned from Mr. Ballen. Whenever you decide to do something with a friend/friends and everyone cancels leaving you alone... don't do that thing.
Especially if it's hiking, camping, or cave diving
Never do or go anywhere you aren't familiar with or where you can't find other people.

Iv watched a lot of Mr balle s stuff an I can honestly say I have now opened my eyes more to the dangers in this big bad world and I have also learned a lot of lessons from his stories Mr John Ballen you truly are a legend!!!
"Sam intentionally hadn't brought a tent"
Me, a MrBallen veteran: "And that my children is how you get featured on a MrBallen's story"
sam didnt bring a tent cuz he was headed to bells cayon. only logical explaination
@@kylergrell3351 do you know how to get there?
Sam didn't bring a tent because it's a fake story. The guy took a flashlight from next to Sam while he was sleeping, didn't attack, and then tried to "lure" Sam away from his bonfire in order to attack him? Yeah that makes a ton of sense.
@@tylerjeb7888 Well except that it sounds like it was just a few high school/college kids having fun and scaring him. That’s what I think happened.
A tent offers no physical protection from anything except for rain. Having a tarp strung up over you offers the same amount of physical protection as a tent would have = none. So Sam bringing a tent or not bringing a tent doesn’t make him any more or less likely to be featured in these stories.
My whole life Ive always had that 6th sense to a scary degree, when I was younger I was told/thought it was a gut feeling. As I've gotten older I think it has more to do with energy & somehow certain people can read/feel the energy shifts in a room and/or environment.
I can, and it can be in a crowd or home alone.
I think these videos are making my 6th sense overactive 😅
I think some people "send" and some "receive" and it has something to do with a shift in mental focus.
i think you’ve had a hard childhood and had to learn to pick up on small environmental and social cues bc as a small child you never felt externally safe so you developed it as a coping mechanism to your fear and anxiety

There is a good chance that the swoosh sound the man heard in the first story was an arrow/bolt flying past his head. It would explain why he couldn't find the object nearby/didn't hear it hit the ground in a quiet forest.
That would make sense, I wondered why he didn't mention if he found whatever it was when it got light out
@@digginggopher I can say from experience that an arrow passing closely to ones head does sound like a swoosh or even a bit like a sucking sound. I've had it happen twice. Once when I was young (my brother and I were messing around with my uncles compound bow) and once on a white tail hunt as an adult (we had someone in the group that didn't understand not to draw the string unless they were sure there was no one in the brush ahead of them). I'm not shocked that he didn't find the projectile. Arrows can fly far beyond where they are aimed if they miss. I've lost countless arrows in the woods despite knowing the angle and direction they were traveling.

"Sam's firewood runs out at 3am" - the most ungodly hour!!
Yup, it’s always at 3am…
@Ruzuchi Wow!! That's not good, hope you get well soon and stay safe, after Mr Ballen anything is possible
@Ruzuchi 😳
@Ruzuchi Very cool but very frightening for you!
3:00am is the demon hour. According to biblical accounts, Jesus Christ’s body finally gave out and died at 3:00pm in the afternoon. The demonic forces enjoy perverting everything Christ like and anything considered holy by inverting it. So the hour of Christ’s death at 3:00pm is now 3:00am which has now become the demonic hour. That’s why 3:00am is such a deadly time to be awake and why so many paranormal things occur at that time.

@@lilyo7982 A person in fear could probably rationalize that a dead fish falling from a tree is perfectly normal in those situations.

Tbh I would’ve just assumed it was an acorn 😂
ooo this reminds me of another personal story. Years back I was living at my parents' house, which is on a hillside with a bunch of undeveloped land behind it. There was a fire road on top of the hill that I used to hike all the time. I'd try to bring our dog up there on occasion but it always seemed anxious and wouldn't go down the trail unless I really yanked him along. One day I went up to the trail to do some jogging, but then it started to rain so I turned around and start jogging home. My shoe became untied and I bent down to tie it, and there in the fresh mud next to my foot was a mountain lion print. It had only been raining about 10 minutes and I had just passed this same section of trail probably 15 minutes before. Never saw the cat but after that I was on hyper alert every time I was on that fire road. I probably should've packed pepper spray or something but at the time I didn't realize how dangerous mountain lions could be.
Yikes that's scary, dude. Mountain lions are no joke. The last time i thought a mountain lion was approaching me, I was so scared
I was stalked by a mountain lion. There was one that we knew lived near her. I was alone once, heard it growling very low and deep. I turned back twords the house and made very deliberate steps without running back to the house. I could hear it behind me the entire way back to the house. I made it out of the trees, into the house, shut the door, locked it, and looked out the window, and the mountain lion just stood there at the tree line. PS. Those were moose antlers, not elk.
Mountain lions never attack people though.
@@lelouchvibritannia4028have you not read the news
Sam thinking it's a trap as his first instinct, and TRUSTING his gut to not fall for it, is probably the smartest decision I have ever heard anyone make on this series.
That's overblown. If he/they meant to do him any harm, he would have when he was right over him while he was asleep. My best guess is that this was some freak living out in the woods off the grid that had lost his mind in the extreme solitude (if not before that), and was just jerking with this guy.
I find the trap thing pretty unbelievable. Think about it. If their intent was to actually do harm, why set up a trap when they already got close enough to get the kids flashlight while he slept. That would've been the perfect opportunity to attack him. Not while hes awake holding a hunting knife ready for something to go down.
@@h91rex100 It probably wasn't to harm him per se, but more just to watch him struggle, thrash, scream, etc, plenty of people get off the suffering of others. Since as you said if they just wanted him dead they could of just done it when they grabbed the flashlight, but is less of a game to be enjoyed then.
It's amazing how effective the 'feeling of being watched' is. The natural spidey sense.

It's light refraction in your eyes. Your brain is intelligent enough to know that the only glassy surfaces you'll see at night are the water reflecting the moon, and some eyeballs. Some people have mastered it, they're usually skilled hunters or trained riflemen though.. youve got to learn what assumptions to make when your brain gives you a clue.
I know I always wonder if you actually notice subconsciously
That final story is so terrifying and an ideal campfire story.
I have watched alot of mr.ballen videos including serial killers, cults, massacres, etc. But the last story about Sam is the one that scared me the most. It is a collection of all my greatest fears like the woods at night, being stalked/watched/followed, and thinking your alone when you are really not. It gave me jitters and anxiety just hearing it and Mr.ballen's great storytelling skills are not helping my case lol.
This one and Bells Canyon. Nope and nope.
Only Mr.Ballen can literally talk about a stick for 3 minutes and have me on the edge of my seat. You are a gifted storyteller sir.

I live in a suburb near Amsterdam, and there'a park there, you would think nothing crazy would happen... but i had the worst day of my life running there
Me and two buddies were long boarding through a park here in Oregon called Minto Brown. It was summertime and because of the foot traffic and bugs we went at 11pm. 10 minutes into our ride we stopped to drink some beer when we heard crunching of twigs and leaves. This park is very lush and forested and you can’t see past the tree line. My friend turned on his flash light and aimed at the blackberry bushes, and standing not 10 feet from us was a cougar. All 3 of us started waving our flashlights and singing at the top of our lungs (we were listening to bohemian rapacity on a Bluetooth speaker) and mobbed out as fast as we could. The irony is that earlier that day I was in a different section of the park and saw a sign saying (cougar sighting, beware of walking alone).
Never go camping alone! Sam made a huge mistake. Especially screwing around in the dark like that. Someone just died at Superstition in January messing around and trying to take a selfie in the dark. He fell like 700ft. If you get hurt and you don't have a buddy, how are you gonna get help?

She even met a guy on the trail who told her he thought he was being followed but brushed it off until after five hours he finally saw a cougar tracking him and she just went “yeah that’s fine” and finished the whole trail by herself and I still don’t know how she did it and didn’t become a 411 case

ALWAYS follow your gut instinct! When I was 17 I was at a Fourth of July party & about 2 hours into the party I had this extreme sense of dread. I never left parties early back then. But this horrific feeling kept telling me that I needed to leave. I left the party just before 2 teens were stabbed to death. Never try to argue away that sense of foreboding.
You probably sensed that the party had a bad vibe to it without being able to put your finger on it.
And people try to say those are instincts, I’m no biologist or doctor, but I don’t believe instincts can predict the future especially when everything seems to be going perfectly well, it’s most definitely something more
The gut instinct is a gift. Not everyone has it nor will ever understand it. Don't even bother to explain it to most.
@@fancifrance4039 I’ve had a sense of dread or where I sensed something would happen. Once when I was taking my mom to the ER due to a fever and she was on chemo we were in a storm and it was late at night. For some reason I told my mother that I could smell a tornado coming and it did come. It was an F4 tornado/waterspout (was over water for a couple of minutes making it a water spout). It was devastating and caused a lot of damage. One other time I had that same sense and a cluster of tornadoes hit. I’ve lived in Florida half of my life and only those 2 times did I sense it and only those two times did they hit.
Also had a sense of dread in 2016. Told my family something was going to happen to me by my birthday which is in December. My birthday came and left and my family surprised me with a visit including my sister from California. On December 19, 2016 exactly 7 days later it hit. I was diagnosed with severe sepsis that nearly killed me and I was hospitalized for a month. My health isn’t in good shape so I’m used to frequent hospital stays but this one was within hours of being fatal without help. Spent time in the ICU as well. I tend to listen to my gut and I go to the ER when it’s really nagging and I have symptoms. Has happened several times and I would find out I had severe pneumonia or whatever. It’s definitely a gift and it should be listened to. My alarm bells have been going off the past week or so and I’m having that sense of dread but with COVID I am not in such a rush but I’m afraid it will get me in the end if I don’t listen to it

The things I've learned from all the Ballen stories are don't ever go camping, hiking or into isolated areas alone. If the offer sounds to good to be true, then it is. If you feel like you're being watched trust your indistincts. If you think things are being moved around your house someone is probably behind your walls preparing to kill you. If you take up scuba diving into under water caves you will eventually die. Never investigate strange sounds on your own and if people say that a place is dangerous you should stay far away from it and lastly never walk into our attempt to repair dangerous equipment without turning it off completely and having someone with you incase it goes bad.
This shit worries me so much, I’m always have a handweapon on/near me unless I’m around people.
Also never let your kids out of your sight, even for a moment, not even in the locked car, just tether them to you permanently.
And dont go scuba diving in dangerous places without appropriate training
With this information
You are now immortal
@@grenadelauncher2376 well you should have also learned that you can’t trust people you know
Me and my brother had an almost exact similar situation to the last story. Except we ended up catching the guy who tripped when trying to run away when we charged at him.
I wonder if there are actually any "feral" people just living in the wilderness, cause I've noticed a theme of these "stalkers" in deep forests. Occasionally they've heard them do all sorts of weird stuff.
When I lived out in a small town in the middle of nowhere I knew a few outliers who would live in the mountains but would.come down occasionally to get food and care from a local church every few months. They are out there, and they don't have a lot of trust or confidence around general population.
“so when you have a bad feeling about something you should listen to that”
**laughs in anxiety**

I remember one time when I was walking in the woods when I was younger. I felt like I was being watched. I walked out early with a shotgun to hunt inland birds. My father came behind me later on the ATV. We were both on our way out of camp back to the truck to go home. My father showed up and asked me if I saw any coyote. There were tracks all around my footprints. The coyotes up here were also bread with wolves so they're kind of different.
I agree with that post. I love scary movies and scary stories but I don't get spooked easily unless I'm watching this channel. And I watch them later at night purposely freaking myself lol
When the idea crosses your mind to go camping solo at night without a tent, that should be the moment your natural instinct kicks in says "Hell to the no."
Makes you perfect prey for something like a mountain lion.
Is what you do is you keep the biggest knife that you can use quickly, and you keep it near by. And that also goes for if you are just in the forest even if you don’t feel like someone is there, always have a big agile knife on hand… or gun, gun works too.
I don’t understand why anyone would go camping without any protection like bringing a tent. If I was hiking alone; (which you should never do) I would always bring a tent to sleep inside just for the added protection. Even if the tent is just a deterrent , that’s better than sleeping under the stars in the open air.
😅🤣😂Bible. It's so cute and nieve that you think a tent will protect you from anything but bugs and snakes.
@@paintedpony2935 Ah yes another smug Internet troll. That’s exactly what I was talking about. Sleeping in a tent gives you some added protection from the elements and the environment. Mindfulness and awareness of your surroundings are essential for survival. That has been true for thousands of years. People who are oblivious of the world around them are asking for trouble, and in the age of cell phones, that means most people.
Survival 101, Lesson 1: Don't go out to remote locations for "camping" or "hiking" where with one misstep you can fall off a rock and die a long slow horrible death, or be stalked by predators admiring your "purty mouf".
I've learned by this channel to never go hiking, scuba diving, go inside caves, be home alone, or leave the house at all.
basically, just don’t exist.
lol not even your house is safe you either get stalkers or worse sinkholes out of nowhere
LOL
Here is the thing my friend. Ignore the stuff that can't hurt you, if you know how to use a gun, carry it if you feel you may need it, after all you are safer to have a gun and not need it, then to not have a gun and need it. Live a good life, use common sense when out and about in the jungle, forest, or major city, if you can always travel with a friend, better yet travel with a girl friend, they are much nicer to have along if nothing happens, they also give you the drive to protect them, it's part of nature, built into our lives as it is. If you are lucky enough, as I was in 1969 and find a great woman who loves you and is a great cook, then so much the better. God how I miss my darling, now gone for a year and 4 days.
You haven’t seen the stories of people hiding in the walls in peoples homes.
When you watch some of these videos, did you notice how often people survived just because they had this "bad feeling" and decided in the last minute to rather not go into that cave etc.?! Their friends ignored that feeling and perished...
That’s usually how horror movies go...The main character gets a bad feelings says “hey, maybe this isn’t a good idea,” their friends laugh at them and convinces them to go on anyways and in the end they all die. 🤷🏽♀️
The premise of all the final destination movies
natural selection at its finest

That gut feeling, discernment of spirit, or whatever you want to call it, has saved my life several times. Particularly when my late Ex, had me setup for a hit. I went to pick her up at her best friend's house, where her friend said she's in the back... everything felt wrong, so I told her friend to go get her. Camping tips: always take a large sturdy tent. Never go alone. Collect a large pile of firewood before nightfall. Take at least one firearm and be prepared to use it. Take a dog with you if possible.
Appreciate those tips. Never going alone and at least bringing a fire arm if you do seems like common sense. Unfortunately for Sam it wasn't but at least he survived to tell the story.
I'm, generally speaking, not a gun person but I keep one firearm and that's for camping. Only had to use it once, somewhat similar story to Sam's, except when I hear the crunching of leaves I yelled out "I have a gun and I will fucking shoot you" and then I fired a couple shots into the direction from where I heard the leaves. Before the second shot even popped off I heard the running away from my camp.
@@DominicNJ73 I do the same thing, only from my home. The second anyone approaches my yard I'm blazing those guns like fire crackers on new years eve!
In the case of the last story, a firearm being stolen would be even scarier than a flashlight.

That last story was terrifying. I really hope it was a prank by one of his friends, but I highly doubt they'd be that committed
I have to give the guy alot of credit- To deduce the flashlight was a trap, while fighting panic that would say "NEED THE LIGHT, NEED THE LIGHT", is a boss move. Ive been in the wilderness and had wierd experiences- as the saying goes "everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face". He performed well even after a punch.
i mean its kinda an obvious trap imo that dont take away the fact the kid did a stellar fucking job tho did that shit damn near perfect except for making a big ass fire
although i do wonder why he wasnt scared of the lads knife
The woods are wierd places at night i live smack dab in the middle of a million acher park the Adirondack mountians to be specific whats scary is when your in the forest and it goes silent no birds no squirrels silence is usually the calm before the storm
What trap? If whoever was messing with him wanted to actually hurt him they could have done it when they got the flashlight and he was sleeping. Whoever it was screwing with him appeared to want to mess with his head and not actually harm him. Ofcourse you never know.
@@mojoelite yes, it's totally illogical. If they were by his side to get the flashlight, they could hurt him there and then, not set some stupid-ass trap with the flashlight. So either it was a total lunatic that didn't act rationally or it's wholly made up story
@@mojoelite Typically the goal with planned murders like this isn't to actually kill the person, but to feel powerful or to have fun. The murder itself isn't what's important. How the murder is accomplished is.
I love how in the camp video with the stolen torch, rather than be scare and run away or be stupid...the kid was smart, recognised a trap, put his boots on and grabbed his knife and ready for a fight!....not many people are that brave or smart
