typical Ronny .. even his rig walkrounds end in the dark ... nice rig Torbs
Ronny and Torben have one of the best friendships, I enjoyed your banter a lot. Kept spilling my beer because I kept chuckling at your jokes. Torbs is a humble, funny and just an all round nice bloke. This is the best modified episode IMHO, wish you guys all best. Stay safe. Regards from England.
I went and bought my travel buddy off the two old legends in Bendigo!! What a brilliant product, they were flat out but took the time to show me around. They are so proud of the product and rightly so its a game changer for us:D Ripper truck Torbs!!!
The boys slowly getting lit as the video unfolds 😂 great episode mate! I would love to see a more in depth video of the electrical system as I've just done a secondary battery set-up myself, but this is on another level so it'd be great to learn some more 👍🏻
It was falling apart at the start of the canopy 😂
@@darkhorse4148 Haha made for some good entertainment!
4wheeling Australia is simply the best 4wheel drive segment so far.
This is one of the best modifieds. So funny.
I want to see how the box comes off for work hauling, connections, electric attachments. Trying to design a flat bed for work, drop on touring pod. If he's done that, please show.
I'd love to see a list of all the times Ronny has said "that'll be a seperate video" would be a big list haha
new drinking game??
Kenney 303 you'd be smashed..
ahhh man... never get tired of these, absolutely in love with these 79s
I love the canopy set up on this thing, absolutely mint. Stay safe. Cheers Steve
Been waiting for ages for this one.
Awsome build Thorbs.
Out of all the 4wd shows i have seen travel buddys you guys are the 1st i have heard talk about the people how make it just me i like hearing about the people behind the products
Possibly the best walk around yet. Look forward to revisiting the truck in the future
That joke about the ball room dancing was absolutely the funniest thing I’ve ever heard Hahahaha Ronny needs to learn the steps better!!!
You guys seem like best mates, funny as hell wish I could come on a trip with you guys wouldn't think that twice !!
Fantastic video, love how well you two work together and really enjoyed the snoop around that awesome truck 👍👍👍
Good to see two mates having a good time. Keep it up.
The G-wagen 4x4 squared comes on 37's. It's around $400,000.
I think my 80 series was better value at $1800
I love how hard it is for two blokes with $100k Utes to say the Dominator winch is an alright bit of kit.
I know everybody likes to bash on Adventure Kings, and they do sell some utter shit, but the Dominator winches are a pretty decent bit of kit, and are nearly half the price of most other winches.
Love this rig. Great set up for long distance travel, camping, fishing, exploring & getting away. Has a lot of awesome creature comforts, really no need to come home.
Definitely keen on a separate video for the electrical system and install!
x 2
Yeh torbs rocking the surfer joes. Hands down the best off-road thong.👍
Nothing better for the scorching hot black sand over here on the West coast
Great tips there on some of the tried and tested components. The engine chip seems reliable so far too.
awesome build Torbs, totally love the electrical set up
You have to be one of the best 4wd RUclipsr and have taught me lots! Thank you 😊
Seeing u guys sitting by the fire without Wayne. 😔
can't wait for the G-Wagon modified... love your truck Torbs, you've done a neat job building that rig.
like how the brakes and suspension were top mods, neither should be skimped on.
LOL best beer, umm Harry's.
This was by far my most favorite episode of Modified, Well done man.
form Hein Profijt in Namibia
Enjoyed the video, very much. Cheers, Mate from San Francisco, USA
Would love to bring what you guys are doing over there to Botswana 🇧🇼. The car modifications and awesome trips. That’s life filled with adventurous moments
Love this modified! 1000% want to see a electronics video showing how it all works and how everything is hooked up! Please! Please! Please!
This gives me quite a few ideas for a build in a couple of years
Been waiting for this for a LOOOOONNNGGG time!
You guys have way better rigs and kit than we have available in the U.S... but then you guys probably have way more people that go off road than we do!
This rig is the best-looking one somehow. Cannot put a finger on it, just the stance and the symmetry. Great additions. I think we need a Part 2 of this Modified with more videos showing the dashboard, electrical system, underbody, etc.
Leave it to the Aussies to produce the Travel Buddy. Something you don’t need, but I must have one!!! Wow such an awesome build. Every time I watch Ronny’s videos I get pissed off that California won’t allow the import of diesel Toyota’s because I would love to have one. Best of health to everyone in Australia! Cheers gentlemen on a great rig walk around.
Thing I love about your show Ronny is that you have a great bunch of blokes along with you. Some other channels bring along their kids or their wives and you just can't say in the comments "yeah mate, your kid is just a dropkick" or "your wife is just too dumb to be able to fart and stay clean"... you know constructive, postivie stuff. Your blokes are obviously mates but they are also professional you-toobers in the same vein as you are. Maybe they dont have their own channel (or even just a crap spin-off channel like Harry's) but they are serious about providing good content and doing a good job and they add value. ITs nice to see you blokes have a laugh but still take it seriously. Thank you for all the hard work you and yourt mates put in.
Hahah best modified yet, good on ya legends!! 🍻
Love how the cover is on the beach and then you guys are in the desert hahahaha love it 😅🤣🤣👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Bloody weapon Torbs! Love your rig mate. My next canopy will be similar to yours (i drive a dual cab). Have it shorter so i can have 2 spares on the back. My standard tray overhang is ridiculous LOL. Great modified fellas!
Adjusted his led driving lights to not blind the person in front of him, what a legend 👍
I have been waiting for this for months
Yeah those wheels are nice !
“Torbs is a tightarse.” Umm... this whole rig would suggest otherwise!
The rig is why he needs to be a tight ass lol
Joe Chitussi
Agree
best set up ever? it could be.. i love it
I’ve got the same ARB LINX system on my Ranger, and the preset auto tyre inflation app is a bit of a pain in the A$$, and requires a bit of a hack to make it feasibly usable. While inflating a tyre, the compressor constantly cuts out and only runs in “burst” so as to check the current psi, which gets worse as you approach your target psi so as not to over inflate, but wow it takes a hell of a long time. The hack I use is to set the target psi to 60 (if I’m going for 40), so that the inflation “bursts” are longer, and then just keep an eye on the psi when the solenoid stops the compressor for a psi check. I’ve gotten use to where I need to remove to hose to get within a few psi of my target psi, so while not ideal it cuts the time in half to get the job done. The LINX system is great, but there are a few bugs that have me still sitting on the fence for whether it was a wise investment, but hope it’s doing everything Torb’s hoped it would for him at least.
The Mercedes G-wagon with portals is called the 4x4 squared and comes standard with 37" tires (or tyres Ronny)
Great episode lads, great to see behind the scenes of little bear. Super job Torbs 👍 Keen to see a video on Torbs electrical system please.
I like they come together and shake hands as if each didn't know the other was there.
I fan boy the cruisers so hard hopefully my next rig will be one
Amazing truck
Best modified yet!
When Torbs had his rooftop tent it was imho the best version. Those swags just seem ridiculous. Are they an exclusively Aussie thing? Can’t imagine any other country going for them. Camping near salties in a swag. Madness!
At the end of the video i was laughing like crazy, they're getting drunk little by little 😂😂😂😂😂 .
Dam it, that's hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome rig
LITTLE BEAR is one sexy beast of a 79!
Awesome rig 😎
Great video Ronny, awesome to see Torb’s ute up close with all the latest mods .... those clear top bags are a great idea, got a couple of the awesome Drifta clear top bags and they’re bloody awesome !!!
Where does the ‘Little Bear’ bit come from ?
We’ll have to do a sticker / stubby cooler swap eh Ronny ? 😆👍
Just 2 things though guys - it’s a bonnet, not hood here in Australia ( hood is an American term ) and they’re not ‘fruit box drinks’ or juice boxes, they’re poppers.....Come on fellas 😆👍
Cheers for sharing this, I have been watching torb's rig in the back ground seeing changes and hearing "we are going to do another modified soon". It's great to see all the new gear, also the experience you gain of all the changes people make is invaluable.
How many sets of lights have been used from no1 until 79?
Keep up the good work and stay safe fellas.
Wow in the past 7yrs there have to be 4 maybe 5 different types
Great vid! Would love to see an in-depth vid on the electrical set up!
Thumbs up on the great northerns for an every day beer!
70 series are the best!!!
THANK YOU DETAIL VIDEO
the station you where on when you recorded this i was cruzing round in a 6 deck cattle truck the house down the road from where you are is a mate he runs it the station loved it up there
What Station is it ?
Cheers!
What happened to Wayne? Need another one on his new cruiser
search off road warriors Australia on youtube
Nannas bonnet said Little red Riding Hood 😁
Cheers!👍
I guess the shorter cell and tailor made alloy bed make it way more practical, but i loved this truck with the old long cell. Made it look like a ten ton doomsday truck, it was awesome !
Would love to see another in-depth video on the electrical set yes even the coffee machine....can ya get some lighting next time.😉😀👍🍻
I have the MTZ p3s as well, great tyre but Torb is so right. My 80 isn’t a daily so the road noise doesn’t piss me off but if I heard it everyday I would probably hate it.
I'm thinking of moving to Australia just so I can have a Toyota Diesel 79.
Larry Briggs We have them in Africa too.
Great video. Love the truck and enjoyed how you got increasingly relaxed! Whitney Houston switch?
Slang, to make it sing, to make it light up.
Torbs, why does it sound so breathy when you're cruising? is it the larger air cooler, crossover pipe or something elsle? killer sound and cool rig, can't wait to see the electrical setup vid. running 3 fridges! is seperate fridges better than one fridge freezer? Another great job Ronnie, your vids help out so much. worth every cent.
We're with you Torbs, its called a bonnet. ;)
The skyline at 34:26 is epic
48:45 an episode with a Niva would be so cool.... if you can find one "down there" ;)
What's happened to Wayne? Not seen him for ages.
They've gone their seperate ways apparently
@@Mojojosie86 meh typical South African
@@Mojojosie86 Wayne wrote his rig off
Josie McLean I’m starting think so
He is doing his own thing now. Parted ways late last year
Peppered biltong nice!
24:14 - It´s always beer o´clock somewhere, mate!
Bought today a good af looking y60
Now , this is how a man builds a truck. Yeea.
Nice vid
Donkeys years isn’t referring to the age of a donkey but to the time when we used to use donkeys to transport things.
Cracking video boys , I’d also love to know what size that freezer was cheers
I’d love to see a video of the more technical side of the vehicle 👍🏻
G500 4x4^2. They’re limited though. Awesome vehicle
Great build Torbs! That electrical work is a masterpiece! How do you like the BP-51 setup after driving it for a while? ( I'm asking because I'm about to lift my Tacoma [Canada here] and I can't find any long-term reviews)
Electrical Setup video would be much appreciated. I am looking to setup somewhat similar with a jack-off canopy and still have power controls on both canopy and interior. If you could cover what the RedVision and the Lynx can and cant do (their limitations), that would be awesome.
Good
pissed myself when he pulled out the 4wheeling decal bar slide after the 'not a plug/beer coaster plug'!
The G wagon you mentioned is the 4X4 square
Hi Torbs nice rig set up! Looking at building a similar set up for my single cab, if you could let us know the size of the canopy /tray would be great. Cheers 👍
your backs stuffed from replacing the parabolic springs HAHA
Personally think this cruiser looks better than the main one. Looks pretty sick with that canopy and tray. All just looks to proportion. An obscure question here, what gauge wiring was run from the front battery to the rear canopy? And what are the dimensions of the canopy?
Tell Sam about bed n breakfast! 😆
As a kiwi, the little NZ on the globe is hilarious.
Awesome video
Amazing vehicle....300k of hard core use...only a Toyota can do that
awesome rig Torbs. can i ask you both which 4x4 with manual front hubs for Great Britain. we struggle to get some makes/models here. plus on a budget. many thanks. Ronny and Torbs your legends
Ronny don’t let people tell you that you spell tyres wrongly . We spell it differently to people from some other places. Not wrong , different.
