    As a Patrol owner i love seeing Toyota owners mods on there rigs, nice gear, however the lights shown here are VERY expensive and in Tasmania we are having trouble with people stealing patrols & Toyota's or just stealing the gear off them or both then burning out the 4x4's leaving us owners gutted. I won't skimp on some things but led lights you can get cheaper ones (NOT TOO CHEAP) that still are good. Over all nice Rig and love the vids

    Just putting it out there... Awesome set up but there aren’t any engineering concerns with the idea of placing a 400kg box, plus gear, plus roof top tent (which acts as a sail in wind) elevated more than a metre in the air on four legs that have no cross bracing between legs or tie down to ground? I know plenty of structural engineers who wouldn’t sign off on the principles being set up here.
    Open to learning, however, what makes this a stable set up when in base camp mode? I can see the 600 or 700kgs of ‘dead load’ and the gusseted legs but it still looks like a very elevated load with a potential sail set up above it...

    • @michaelcook5233

      one of the cons with installing airbags is they limit the amount of travel or "flex" so the shock absorber wont be performing to its full potential, especially in the case of what the BP51s offer

      Dumb
      Problemmatic
      Failure
      That's creating huge costly problems for many new diesel engines.

    • @JeremyPetho
      @JeremyPetho 5 лет назад

      A large expensive filter in the exhaust pipe that catches soot particles and burns them using heat from the exhaust, usually by injecting extra fuel.
      They are hugely problematic because they block up very easily unless the vehicle is doing long trips with reasonable load on the engine.
      When they block up, they usually don't clear out as well as they are supposed to and often need to be replaced for a lot of money.
      When the engine gets a few Ks on it and starts using a little oil and passing some through the turbo, it blocks the DPF with ash which can't be burnt off.
      Also they are a big fire hazard. They can get up to extreme temperatures so you need to be very careful to clean out any dry grass from around them before they heat up.
