      I think the issue is a cascade of problems from design changes from 12th Gen to manufacturing and of course end use with the hook instead of a contact frame and voltage pushed to 11. Basically it is going to be hard to find a single source cause their are too many problems. Glad I got a 13600k over 13900k but wish AM5 boards were cheaper when I built in Dec 2022.

    Important FYI: I'm just building with this MOBO, and found this Note in the manual. "The PCIEX16 slot can only support a graphics card or an NVMe SSD. If only one graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot" Meaning, your GPU shares the PCIex port with the second NVMe SSD (M.2B). In my case, I wanted two M.2 SSD cards, So I used M.2A and M.2C. Correct me if I'm wrong

      Yes. Really you're not going to see a lot of difference in performance between the high end cpu's between AMD and Intel for video editing. A Ryzen 99xx will scream. The real difference for video editing is your GPU (if your editor supports it) and the speed of your storage.

      AM5 can't have x16/x16 cause it has 28 lanes right? You could get x8/x8 pcie5.0 which is basically x16/x16 4.0 bandwidth wide but you would need a 5.0 GPU then.

    OK I'll post something that just shows I'm not up to date on computer hardware. I DON'T CARE WHAT THE MOTHERBOARD LOOKS LIKE! ALL THAT I CARE ABOUT IS THE FUNCTIONALITY AND TO SOME DEGREE THE PRICE. All of this as I don't understand this strange idea of building computers to edge out aquariums. If I want an aquarium I will have to feed the fish. The computer is a closed box and not something that I care about how it looks. If necessary I'll paint the glass panels black so I don't have to see it.

      You are right, you must have been living under a rock. Case modding (a lot more extreme version of making it your own) was a thing when I bought my first computer 2 decades ago and still persists today. So what's wrong with something a bit different?

    • @blahorgaslisk7763
      @blahorgaslisk7763 Месяц назад

      @@Hansen999 My problem with it is that all computer cases looks like aquariums today. It's close to impossible to buy a modern case that doesn't have glass panels ell over. Even those manufacturers that offer solid steel panels has made it an extra, so I have to buy the case with all the glass only to then buy replacement steel panels. And I do not want any glass anywhere on the case. Glass is fragile and when tempered it will basically explode if it breaks. No I do not want that anywhere near my computers. Not to mention that I can grab my tools and modify a steel panel anyway I want. With tempered glass I cant even drill a hole in it.

    • @GalderaVG
      @GalderaVG 29 дней назад

      @@blahorgaslisk7763 the reason they have glass panels is because people like showing off their pc parts as well as having the option to modify the glass with a custom etching, sure you can't do the cool modding like Dietech did, but if you want full on steel cases without glass they aren't too hard to find although you'll have to make some compromises.
